Politics › Re: Will Yorubas support Buhari/Ribadu without Bakare/Adeola? by OAM4J: 7:47pm On Mar 12, 2011 |
jason123: Yorubas were the main supporters of GEJ when the Northern cabal ganged up against him. The igbos on NL were talking about Zoning and all. Even Ojukwu gave his support to IBB. Yorubas stood behind GEJ through out. The reason why yorubas stopped supporting him has nothing to do with ethnic affiliation rather it is the tribalism game, lack of compassion, lack of vision and butt licking.
When he came to the SW to campaign, he praised yorubas as the most educated and sophisticated et al but that does not mean yorubas want praises, what they want is development and ZERO tolerance to corruption. Take a look at the people that accompanied him in the SW, AKALA, OGD, Bode etc these are the people that have milked us dry so why should they now support him? Because he is a southerner? NO. Forget the praises, praises cannot feed a hungry child, it cannot help a robbed victim, it cannot help the commuter or anyone. Its all a contrivance. Why do you think they (yorubas) dislike OBJ?? My brother, with the little time I have spent with the yorubas, I can tell you that their politics is not based on how much you say but what you can do! It has nothing to do with ethnicity. Remember, the SW has the highest amount of people that are not from that region, that alone speaks volumes about how they think. GEJ systematically moved from a humble and caring man to a desperate, clueless and power hungry man. Take a look at what happened in JOS. What about the AKALAs? should they not be prosecuted?? The guy has 100% tolerance for corruption , in fact, he is corruption himself! Take a look at the PDP primaries and the envelopes under the seats of delegates (5000 dollars ) .
Although most of you consider ACN as a tribal party, some if not most yorubas will not vote for Ribadu, they prefer Buhari! Why? It is the genuine desire to stamp out corruption regardless of the ethnic affiliation. That is the truth!!!!
We have to stamp out corruption and tribalism before we can move forward as a nation. GEJ will be voted for based on tribalism. GEJ brought Ciroma's wife, Alams and all because he is corrupt! Forget the sentiments like "God chose him". How can God choose a man who is this corrupt? How can God choose a man that welcomed Bode George out of prison? How can God choose a man that brought Alams ( a man who dressed as a woman just to escape UK) to his team HOW MY BROTHERS? HOW ?
A good, corrupt free Nigeria will be good for us all. Forget the North and South dichotomy. This is the time for change not FEE DEE FEEE!!

Fashola was articulate and have his numbers It's really pathetic! Imagine in 2011, people think campaign is just about, 'I will give you light', I will give you water', I will build roads and bridges', 'I will fight corruption' etc with no readiness to answer HOW?. |
Politics › Re: Pdp Opts Out Of Presidential Debate by OAM4J: 6:12pm On Mar 11, 2011 |
Gbawe: I don't think so . I think Jonathan , in testimony to his lack of vision, just failed to grasp that things are slightly different to when OBJ foisted Yar Adua on Nigeria. A day is a long time in politics. Just ask Mubarak . It may no longer be okay for Nigeria to gain a taciturn recluse like Yar Adua as its President . Jonathan misjudged issues completely when he relied on the PDP platform alone to get him over the line rather than his own performance in office and ability to sell himself as winning tools. As per performance in office , he has already lost the election. He cannot sell himself to Nigerians because he is not confident in front of the camera and he has to be forced to speak in public. He will not show up for any debates . You guys are simply wasting your time. Exactly! |
Politics › Re: Pdp Opts Out Of Presidential Debate by OAM4J: 6:06pm On Mar 11, 2011 |
okpunor: You guys use this forum as an avenue to insult the Mr.President, this only shows how some folks disrespect their parents and elders at home. PDP has opted out of presidential debate for understandable reasons, (they are busy campaining and concentrating their forces).
You may wish to know that PDP is the only party in Nigeria today that satisfies the basic requirement for any part to win a presidential in terms of areas of coverage and reach(opposition parties know this also) and also the minimum win-win percentage required in at least 34% of the whole state.
You may also wish to know that most of the registered political parties in Nigeria are not fielding governors in a good number of states, talk more of having structures in the LGAs and villages.PDP is busy campaining and establishing structures.
Mr.Moderator, I think it's high time you regulate and edit what you should be posted on this forum.
If anyone is still in doubt of what it takes to win a presidential election, you can call on any INEC office for them to better educate uninformed folks here. And you and PDP are not intelligent enough to know that debate is another form of campaign. BTW, which country needs a president that can not be criticized? |
Politics › Re: Pdp Opts Out Of Presidential Debate by OAM4J: 6:02pm On Mar 11, 2011 |
Not surprised at all. The surprise will be IBB's godson/PDP showing up for debate. They have nothing to offer Nigeria. |
