The crux of my presentation was that the incumbent, all things being equal, has the bigger chance of winning. Add to that the fact that PDP seems to have a wider tent than the other parties. And I haven't seen any polls that lead me to think any individual or any party support is greater than GEJ's or PDP. So, you think if maybe another party merges with Buhari or Ribadu, they have a better chance? Who will make that sacrifice. Imagine the aforementioned - Buhari and Ribadu coming together, i guess Ribadu would have to drop down to VP candidate and Bakare and Adeola can go back to their respective professions, albeit more famous/infamous. Jut speculating here. No inside info on that. lol
No. Ribadu can not vice for Buhari, that will be North-North ticket. Besides, I think it is already too late for any alliance now. BB Ticket is a dream that is developing a life of its own and its becoming a reality by the day. Many people are tired of PDP and considering all the alternatives, BB option stands out. Dont be deceive by the PDP size, it is not real and they will not be able to rig as usual again, people are wiser, more informed and ready to defend their votes now. naijababe:He will. Many people know already that his performance is the true pillar holding ACN apart from Tinubu's money. |
Some inside info on our dearest Governor Fashola: So, I was speaking to someone in the know about Fashola, and found out amongst other things, that the governor is practically walking on eggshells, due to the suspicion that Tinubu and his people are not totally for him - despite the public display of support and publicity photos we all were treated to recently. It is too bad a governor who has proven himself over this 4 years may still need to kowtow to some political "godfather." 1) Nigerians abroad and at home I'd like to hear your take. 2) Lagos folks, are you for Fashola? And why the hell not?!
I am for Fashola. Dont worry, Fashola will find his political feet after the election. He is playing the right politics now, there is no need to make enemies and become confrontational at the eve of an election. The equation will change after the election, the oppressed will become the oppressor. Speaking of political godfathers, I was scanning the below topic about Buhari/Bakare candidacy opposite OBJ's choice.Actually GEJ is still the candidate to beat. Not because of his power of incumbency, but because the progressive refused to unite. But then, the rate at which BB popularity is growing, gives me hope that anything can still happen. If the momentum is sustained, BB might just win. I advise my family, friends and foes to support BB Ticket (cos it is the best option out there), even if they dont win, they would at least lay a solid foundation for winning future elections, and who knows, they might just win. |

Even though I support BB ticket, I agree with your analysis and am sure many BB supporters will also agree with you, unlike GEJ camp, we dont deceive ourselves. But I disagree with your conclusion totally simply because because it is too early to call and cos of the following reasons: 1. BB still got time to campaign. A week is too long in politics to make a whole lots of change. Jan 01, 2011, neither Alli, nor Mubarak or Gadafi would have ever believe they will be in the position they are today. 2. The rate at which GEJ is making mistakes upon mistakes is alarming, and I guess he is yet to make the biggest one. 3. You fail to also realize that a good planning will equally produce a good performance. BB team is not sleeping, they are only planning and considering the best strategy to use. 4. If BB popularity has gone this high without campaign, imagine what will happen when the campaign starts BB2011. . . Believe it. . . it is possible. |
