All of you telling this lady she has done well are misleading her. The question is; is this the best way to handle this? What is her aim of putting the whole affair in the public domain? I read what she wrote: "My aim with this blog is to show other ladies who suffered same fate at his hands both in Illorin and Abuja (some of whom have emailed me but are still trapped in guilt and shame to speak up) that there is nothing to be ashamed of." Seriously? You mean it is writing a blog about the affair that will strengthen their faith or help them to get over their guilt? And what did she mean there is nothing to be ashamed of? There is everything to be ashamed of by every one involved including the Pastor. Or is she now shameless? I am not supporting the Pastor, I agree the matter should not just be swept under the carpet, but for God sake, public domain is not where to get healing. Confession, Repentance and Restitution are in order, but no where it is said the Bible that confession should be made to the public. And If I might ask, has she sought the Pastor's wife forgiveness? Because contrary to what many may think, she and the pastor both sinned against God and against the pastor's wife and it is the forgiveness of these two that matters, not what the public have to say. While I dont want to judge, I smell more of smear campaign all over her write-up than whatever excuse she wrote up there. I might be wrong. |
berem: OAM4J, why did you lock that thread? you would have simply hid the disgusting comments and allow others who are not involved in tribal bashing to continue posting. That's not fair!I locked it for cleaning exercise. It's opened now. ![]() @Lagosbabe1 Thanks. |
software man: Oam4j, i just finished reading the complaint of a guy that was banned and will like to commend you for the matured manner you handle complaints. We only ban those found guilty of tribalism for that long and when they come up with known alternate monikers we ban for longer. It is because we are serious in putting an end to ethnic wars on NL. All the people that were banned for tribalism by all the moderators in this section since the beginning of our campaign earlier this month were banned for not less than 30 days. We opened a thread to appeal to members to stop and warned in advance that we will ban for that long after our appeal. I must have made a mistake banning PointB for just 3 weeks and it is unfair to others that were banned for minimum of 30 days for similar offense. So I apologize to them for my error. |
Ngwakwe: With threat like the quoted text, I can see that Afam4eva has being exhibiting golden character that is embedded with tolerance, forgiveness and shows high level of maturity in moderating this politics section without rancour, revenge or witch-hunt.Threat? Where? Looks like you have problem with English comprehension. |
Sincere 9gerian: @OAM4J..,I saw your belated and watery response to the above post and thread. Your post didn't address any of the issues raised besides the advice that I should play by the rules. Well, just to make the point that I do not need ANYONE to advice me to play by the rules. I play by the rules in WHATEVER I do.I have a lot of things to do than come online and repeat myself over and over. Even on NL there are thousands of members to attend to than spending my whole time replying the same question I have answered. I have responded repeatedly to your 1st ban and my position has not changed, you can agree with it or not. This is one of my replies to you on Aug 10 on the matter: OAM4J: ^I did not ban you for insulting Fashola or calling him a kidnapper. You have been calling Fashola a kidnapper before you opened that thread and after you came back from your ban and I didn't ban you.On your 2nd ban, you can use any dictionary you like to interpret the meaning of spam and get a SAN to explain it out for you; all I know is that you posted exactly the same content on more than 3 threads, after creating a thread for same content, on NL that is spamming. I recently banned Ileke-idi for similar offence. I also see you have not learned from your 1st ban. You opened a thread calling me oga on the top for APC, when I have not declared anywhere that I am a member of APC, neither has APC announced anywhere that I am a member. That is telling a lie on my person and misinforming the public. If I ban you again for that you will start calling me wicked not knowing that your childishness and irrational behavior is your undoing. |

Sincere 9gerian: @OAM4J.., what are you afraid of? Why move this thread to the general section with such lightening speed? Smh for this shameful display of timidityAfraid? For the record, I saw this thread in politics section but I didnt move it here. Any moderator can check the thread log and confirm it to you. My advice, keep to the rules and we will be fine. Cheers. |
Kai my dream girl taken! And they said I should dream, that dreams do come through.... I dreamt she got married to me and now ![]() Wish her happy married life. |
Sending money from Nigeria will not be profitable for them. How many people send from nigeria? Maybe the few students studying abroad that need money etc. Compare that to the billions sent to Nigeria every minute. Besides, wire transfers already exist that are actually cheaper than the western union service so i think it's basically a business decision. If it were profitable, they would've jumped on it by now
If it is profitable in Benin Republic, Togo, Ghana, Gambia how come it is not profitable in Nigeria? If only you know the number of people sending goods to Nigeria on daily basis and want quick return of their funds. Wire transfer takes days sometimes a week if it has to go through many intermediary banks. Also Nigerians shop a lot overseas, sometimes prefer their friends and relation abroad to help them check what they are buying before shipment. Nigeria is not just filled with hungry people that only receive money from overseas to feed. There are a number of Nigerians doing much better in Nigeria than their mates overseas. |
BedLam: don't blame them..... Money laundering...... Your politicians. If they know what they are doing, money laundering can be controlled, it's matter of making the service available only to account holders with their partner banks same way banks control money laundering via wire transfers. |
Why is it still not possible to send money through western union from Nigeria but one can only receive in Nigeria? Or has that changed? I think that should be the 1st thing Western Union and the likes of Moneygram should address. |
