"If the manager needs me at centre-back I will play centre-back, but if he needs me in midfield or at full-back of course I’ll play there.

"I have played in all the positions so as soon as you play in one it feels normal. The manager hasn’t said to me ‘you’re a right-back or you’re a midfielder’ but whenever he needs me I’ll be ready.

"It's great to work with all the players here, especially the experienced ones. You train with them every day so you can see what they’re doing and talk to them. The older players speak with you and help you, especially Michael [Carrick], he speaks with me a lot and just gives me help with the little things. The team spirit we have here is great."

THE TITLE IS HIS TARGET

"Oooof it would be fantastic, if I could win the Premier League, the next day I would stop playing football… almost! We have been a little bit unlucky in certain games, but we believe and when you believe it will come. Hopefully I can win it and I will win it."

THIS CLUB IS MASSIVE

"I have played at other massive clubs, every club is massive and if it was not massive it became massive when I came! Everything we do here is huge, it’s not local, it’s global, it’s to reach out worldwide."

EVERY MEDAL IS SPECIAL

"Every medal has its story," he says. "It’s difficult to say because I have one from every country I went to."

[b]Hi everyone,

The team needed a win like this one. And so did you. We went to play Swansea with a need to recover once again after a negative result during the week, as we showed from the kick-off. We have to find that consistency in the scores to approach the top positions of the table, and I’m sure we will be close to that goal if we are so focused and play with such intensity as we did this Sunday. The score was important, but also how we got it, in my opinion.

We had a great first half, controlling the game through the ball, and we were very efficient with our chances, so at the end we won and this is the best possible way to face the international break. Obviously, Swansea got better in the second half and they tried to put us in trouble, but despite their goal I think we showed character to keep the three points. It’s a boost of confidence ahead of our next game in the Premier League, against Arsenal in Old Trafford, one of those games that everyone likes to play. To finish with the match in Wales, let me just say that I was very happy to meet Fernando Llorente, with whom I shared magic moments in the Spanish national team, and also Borja Bastón and his family; his dad played football with my dad some years ago.

As every year by November, you have noticed that we wear a poppy on our shirts. Most of you know the reason, but there’s always somebody who asks about it, and I’d like to remind you that the poppy is a symbol to remember those who have died in wars. Here in England people show great respect for these traditions and, year after year, I get very impressed with the atmosphere in the football stadiums when Remembrance Day approaches. This memorial day marks the day World War One ended, on the 11th day of the 11th month, at 11am.

Talking about remembering people, I’d like to send a big hug to Robin van Persie. I hope his eye injury after a collision during a game is not as serious as we initially thought, and he gets well very soon.

Have a nice week and thank you for your support, in particular to the fans that travelled to Swansea. We are very happy that you went back to Manchester in a good mood.

‎Hugs, Juan.

"I see it in the papers time and time again; Paul Pogba this and Paul Pogba that. The guy is an unbelievable player, he's world class!

"He needs time to settle in, the price tag isn't his fault, he's a terrific player and a great lad. We'll see more of him this season, I'm sure."

"You know what? Every time I try to play my game by being strong, and going into the tackles, or whatever it is, I get a yellow card. I don't know what the explanation was because I think I was too tired and I didn't hear him [the referee].

"It is what it is. In England, the football is hard, it's physical. I just have to accept it. I've got to be professional. I'm sorry I am suspended for the next game. I wish I wasn't as it's a game I really wanted to play in. But I have trust in my team-mates and the team and I know they can do fine also without me."

[b]EXCLUSIVE: LIFE ACCORDING TO ZLATAN

1. I want to do more and I will do more

"I think I could have scored a couple more goals than I have done - I missed pretty good chances which I didn’t see myself doing. But it’s a different game here [in England]. Here, it’s different compared to the ones [the leagues] before. When you play a game here, there is no team controlling it, it’s back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. That’s the way the game is, you have to get used to it. With my performance, I am happy. I know I can do more, I know the team can do more and I want to do more and I will do more."

2. We can achieve big things

"We have a mix of ages - experienced players, young players, the quality is there. I think we can achieve big things. I said after the Liverpool game and I said it before that we just need to find the ‘click’ where we find each other. Every day that goes by, the more you get to know each other and it becomes like a family. You know what you need - I know what I need to do to get the maximum out of my team-mates and the same thing on the other side, they know what they need to bring that out of me. The pieces are there, we just need to put the puzzle together."

3. My advice is always to enjoy

"You must always enjoy yourself, don’t forget what we play is the thing we love. It’s our passion. We’re playing football and you need to have a balance in your head to find the right level where you enjoy it but, at the same time, you perform. When we go out there, we get our tasks for what we need to do [in matches] but, at the same time, you want to do them in a way where you enjoy also because it’s what we love, we love playing football."

4. Manchester is the best city

"I heard a lot of things that the city is this, the city is that, the weather is like this and the weather is like that but, so far, everything has been good. The city is the best city so far. I come from Sweden, I don’t have big expectations when it comes to… how do you say it… outside football. I’m pretty simple, I’m a family guy. For me, they come in the first phase, the rest is less important. For example, when I was living in Paris, in four years I didn’t go to see the Eiffel Tower once – I wanted them to change the Eiffel for my statue but they didn’t do it! Maybe if they do it now, I will go to visit!" [Smiles]

5. Hard work pays back

"It’s just about timing and moment. It will click. We just wait for the moment when everything is clicking among each other, not only inside the pitch, but outside it. I don’t say things are bad because things are good. We’ve been a little unlucky in certain games but we believe and, when you believe, it will come. I like to train hard, that’s my philosophy. If you train hard, you get what you want to get. Hard work pays back, according to me… and it does after 20 years of experience."[/b]

[b]What was the key to victory?

I think every player wanted to win this game and everyone was focused. We gave it our best and gave everything, the first half was unbelievable. It was one of the best first-half performances so far and that’s how we have to play, we have to give everything, we have to press all together and when we play together we play like that.

You limped off against Fenerbahçe, and you have just played for 90 minutes...
I always say that when you go with your head the rest will follow. It’s not done but I was fit enough to play and the gaffer picked me.

You’ve scored some spectacular goals in your career, so where does that one rate?

I have to see it again but I think this is one of the best I’ve scored for Manchester United but I hope to score more goals to help the team and we win and win, carry on like that.

Did Zlatan Ibrahimovic need a goal?

Zlatan plays for the team and wins for the team and today we are all happy for him because he needs to be confident and he scored two goals. He gives everything for the team and that’s what we need - players playing for each other and we need that team spirit.

Can you go on a run of wins now?

Of course we needed to win today and that’s what we did – we need to carry on in this way now.

"The Players believe in me and I believe in the Players. That has never been the Problem. I want to say they were influenced by some culture issues. Influenced by a situation that has been going on for a few Years.

"There is a difference between the Brave, who want to be there at all cost, and the ones for who a little pain can make a difference. If I were to speak with the many great football people of this Team, they will say many time they played without being 100%. For the Team, you have to do everything, this is my way of seeing.

"Of course, it is not just the Players, it is the Players and the People that surround the Players. Yes, it takes time, but with the help of People like Phil Jones who was playing without having even trained, Ashley Young, Wayne Rooney, it will not be an impossible mission but a possible mission."

[b]We were always in control

"I'm really pleased. I think for all of us from the United side, it was a calm day from the first minute. We all felt that we were in the game and that we were stable and in control and the players were really good in their focus, their effort and their concentration in following the game-plan. I thought they were really good and I'm really happy for all of them."

Reds recover well

"You could feel in the second half [the tiredness] that we were back at 4am [on Friday from Turkey] and then yesterday we were unlucky again because there were problems with the plane and we should have flown and had a rest here [in Swansea]. But we had to change the plane and arrived at the Swansea hotel at 8pm just for dinner but with no afternoon to rest. We had problems during the week, plus players not available to play but the important thing is we recovered from a bad result at home against Burnley, not a bad performance, but a bad result, and I'm really happy because now the players can go away [on international duty] with the feeling of victory and a good victory."

Zlatan is a team player

"I didn't know [that Zlatan had scored 400 club goals]. I just know that he is a great player for the team. Today he scored and he didn't score in the past three or four or five matches but that doesn't matter at all because there is one thing having a striker who scores goals and does nothing else. It's another thing to have a striker that doesn't score goals, but does everything else and during this period where he was not scoring goals he did everything else for the team. I'm happy that he is back to scoring goals."

A positive combination

"I thought Michael [Carrick] was the stability, Marouane [Fellaini] was the balance, [Paul] Pogba was the freedom, and all of them together meant the performance was very positive for us."
