APC PRESS STATEMENT ON TAMBUWAL’S DEFECTION IN OCTOBER 2014

Tambuwal will remain speaker – APC

The All Progressives Congress (APC) yesterday said it was wrong to ask Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal to quit the speaker’s position simply because he defected to the minority party in the House of Representatives.

APC national publicity secretary Lai Mohammed said, “Those who are saying that the speaker should resign have forgotten history. In 1982 when the NPN and NPP accord broke down, Ume-Ezeoke did not step down as the speaker neither did Wash Pam step down as the deputy president of the senate.”

Mohammed said also that APC is now in control of the structures of the House as the speaker is now a member of the party.
He said the defection of the speaker is not about the party but about the country which will witness a robust National Assembly with better legislations.

“It is not about the fortunes of the party it is about the fortunes of the country. Now we are going to have more qualitative laws, and this is a man who enjoys support across board so we have a speaker who is accepted on the right and the left,” he said.

You are not a government agency.

They don't charge Policemen, FRSC and other government security agencies.

The police also have hospitals.

These things don't work.

I have repeatedly stated it here, that those that believe in juju are not only ignorant, but that they are getting scammed by the so called juju men or herbalists. If there was JUJU, how did the British come into this Country with just Guns, and were able to take over Nigeria? why did the Juju not catch them?

In fact the so called juju places in Nigeria were among the first to be captured. Oba Ovonramwen, with all the Benin Juju he had, was not only captured, but he was also Frog-Jumped in Chains from Benin to Calabar, where he eventually died. The other day i heard one boasting "Try me you go know say i be Bini Man" and so i am thinking, which Benin?the one the British ran through?

The Ijebu's too that claim to posses juju, had all their villages and towns burnt to the ground by the British, and their juju did not work. The British-Ijebu war of 1892 (The battle of Imagbon) is something those interested in history should go and read about.

Let us stop glorifying these black magics. They do not work.

So Oyedepo should stop telling lies in a failed attempt to make people go to his own church.
The love of filthy lucre is intoxicating the man into saying nonsense and blaspheming the Holy Spirit.
Well he is not really telling lies, if you understand how denominations work.

Every denominations Catholics, Orthodox, Protestant s, and co. All have different meetings and worship patterns.

The assembly does not have to be in a building/gathering called church.
It can be a virtual discussion group online as well e.g. nairaland.
Exhortations is not limited to happening in a church building or gathering.
Anywhere two or more believers are gathering it is a church.

It can be physical or virtual.

alBHAGDADI:
You are not crucifying Jesus anew when you sin. No bible verse says such. You will always sin because you are in the flesh. If it is by not sinning we make heaven, then Jesus death on the cross is not needed. We will just abstain from sin. But God knows it is impossible for man to not sin, that's why He gave his son as a sacrifice to redeem us from the condemnation of sin. His blood pays the price for our sins.

The talk of crucifying Jesus anew is just a man-made talk, not Biblical.
Hebrew 6:6
If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame

I noticed you beleive in eternal salvation.

Shall we continue to sin that grace may abound? God forbid.
Christianity Etc › Re: Grace Is Not Enough by OBAGADAFFI: 1:00pm On Aug 12, 2018
alBHAGDADI:
I still say it that you can't lose your salvation. You can only lose it if you were never saved. Eternal life is a free gift given unto those who believe in Jesus Christ. It is a gift which God won't take back, or else it seizes being a gift but a loan.

John 3:16
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.

Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Ephesians 2:8
For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God;

Now, to your talk if someone losing his salvation. I repeat, you can't lose it because God won't allow you slip off His grip. Nothing can take you away from Him after He saves you because He is stronger that anything. Read what Jesus said about his followers.

John 10:26-30

but you do not believe because you are not my sheep. My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all ; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.”
Do you remember Demas?

Peter 2:20 - For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.

Bulls, Bears & Charlatans

What is he trying to accomplish?

Why not take a break for a while after the first few crash calls were completely off base?

Sometimes uber-successful people are the worst ones to listen to for advice because they become so overconfident in their abilities. Rogers very well may be a legendary investor but that doesn’t make his crystal ball clearer than anyone else’s.[/b]

People who are contrarians for the sake of being a contrarian will read something like this and tell me it’s a sign of a market peak. But this has nothing to do with being bullish or bearish. There’s nothing wrong with expressing an opinion about the markets, be it positive or negative.

I’m not anti-bearish or anti-bullish, I’m anti-charlatan. Making extreme predictions about the markets comes with zero consequences because there are so many pundits these days that most forecasts are quickly forgotten. The only ones people remember are those that are right. So there’s very little risk involved but if you ever happen to be right about a pending market crash you’ll forever be remembered as the person who called it.

A market crash is always a possibility. But using scare tactics to get people out of the markets (or keep them in) isn’t helpful to anyone.

I’m sure there were a lot of investors who were emotionally scarred from the financial crisis. Unfortunately, the crisis also spawned a large number of charlatans to prey upon those emotions. I hope investors are able to better understand that extreme predictions from charlatans — whether they call for a crash every year or tell you one can never happen — provide no useful value.
A market crash is always a possibility. But using scare tactics to get people out of the markets (or keep them in) isn’t helpful to anyone.

I am always angry when i see people do this.

Ironically the-same people will still be in the market after scaring other away.
