Mpeace: yes I can, N12. no jokes. Just look at the impairment charge so far taken, 35billion. add that to their profit so far= 41billion. On a good day, diamond bank should be just under Access bank. They just need to clear their NPL which ratio stands at 9.5% with the bulk of it (52%) in the oil sector(which is recovering) They should also make something good out of their recent divestments which is aimed at converting ti a national bank . Mind you the CAR for national banks is 10% as against 15% CAR for international banks. This would free up alot of cash for the bank. Hmm!!! |

yok: MSCI MOVEMENT FOR 16 TO 20 FEBRUARY 2017/GENERAL MARKET COMMENT
The fund sold again between Friday and yesterday. Coincidentally for Monday/Tuesday my computer was down and the fund's website was down too(no update). But I believe we have not miss much. For some people insinuating that the fund will post wrong info or fail to update, let us forget that. The fund is obliged by law to update their site/holdings (albeit they may try to delay by using some tactics, which is legal, but the delay cannot be so bad as to totally shield their action from the investors or give wrong information).
I let the bag out of the bag when I gave out our confidential information (ohun ti agba fi nje eko abe ewe lo wa). See my posting of February 8, 2018. This lead me to the fact that I don't read all the posts in this forum (I read the last 2 pages of each day and then go to specific posts by the people I have interest in their postings). I only read posts from the technicians/fundamental analysts, example if you want to read all my postings you click https://www.nairaland.com/yok/posts. This is the reason, I always tell people to send me a mail (sorry too if your e-mail has a name that seems to portray unseriousness or a time waster, I may neither read nor reply it, we are in serious business forget all the jokes you sometimes see here)
This is an opportunity to pick good stocks at low prices. If you are interested is a particular stock indicate a low limit price, let your broker place the order in the system or yo do it yourself. For example if I want to by Caverton at 2.40, I am not worried if my broker get the price or not (at least my money will stay in my account), but if the price come to that price, good for me. I have go my target stock at a price that I am comfortable with.
Caution: This is for educational purpose only and not an investment advice. Thank this . In these season of uncertainty it is Imperative we follow the money.MSCI MOVEMENT is the king now. |

pluto09: And how much of this go to the FG. Assuming the fg spend all the VAT, 798 billion / 180 million is how much? LOL, They don't divide annual budget by the population. FG simply Budget for their workers(recurrent ) and FG projects(capital) Every state government also have their own Budgets, workers(recurrent ) and state projects(capital). |

pluto09: Can you tell me the total amount we generate as VAT in the country in a year? -Nigeria generates N204.77 billion from VAT in 2017 first quarter – NBS - The minister of finance, Kemi Adeosun, has disclosed that Nigeria generated N797.51 billion into the federation account from Value Added Tax, between January and October - Note: Most of the expenses in our Budget are inflated

pluto09: Not exactly. We have two major problems in the country. What we generate as revenue is too low and we misappropriate the little that we generate. It is not only about politicians /executive, we are all involved. I disagree with you on this. VAT alone is enough to sustain this country . FG get funds from every Import duties, Licenses , Oil and Gas, ICT & Telecoms, Radio, TV, Mining. etc States like Lagoas collect billions in Paye Tax, LASAA levies and Land use charges .e.t.c Yet we keep hearing stories of insufficient funds |

Most guys using portfolio companies will not see tax officials until they die.
Nigerian govt is not ready to help this country yet. Once you open shop, they close it with their stu.pid policies. Correct. Portfolio business are the safest when it come to taxation. Any business with physical address with be subjected to numerous taxes and levies in Lagos. |

WorldAmbassador: @Obagadaffi. I read the news and I don't think it is due to a glut of palm oil in the market. Rather, most people probably go for locally made palm oil(which is a lot cheaper) and this hurts Okomu's bottom line. I have once bought Okomu's refined palm oil called Banga Oil for over 4,000 Naira-it's too expensive.
On the other hand, I read in the Punch that the CBN is barring banks with huge Non-Performing loans from paying dividends. http://punchng.com/cbn-bars-banks-with-huge-bad-loans-from-paying-dividends/ Hmm, With all this negative news, we should expecting serious baers. |

You should really be ashamed of Christians of you are honest Will you keep quiet..... What gives you the enfontry to even talk. You should cross over to Chad and Niger and see things for youself. |

zabuur: So, with dangote creating jobs, paying his alms, giving scholarships, helping ur daily needs etc, since Christ is not in his cv, he won't make heaven. What if, he has Christ but, a criminal.
You are a big fool. I'm sure dangote like any other Muslim believes in Jesus (ISA) Alaei Sallam. Not as a savior but, as a Prophet of Allah.
Haaaa, give me a name of a christian business person that does what dangote does. Idiots and mischiefs You should put thing in proper perspective before commenting. Every Religion got thier version on heaven. Will Christian inherit Virgins in heaven? No |
