Overtime, Transcorp may go and balance @ circa N5......just my opinion.

Once Tony/HH Capital is able to control 50%,
Otedola 10%
UBA nominees roughly 10%,
Then, Free float will reduce to less than 30% (From 89%).
Na just my opinion o.
HH, UBA are Tony's indirect holdings in Transcorp.

I have been buying DS since last year after they published their q2 result though I was disappointment with q3 so I am not looking for endorsement. One of the attractions then was the low price of raw sugar.
I looked at price of sugar in the international market yesterday and I was not too comfortable with what I saw hence my calling on oracle to say something about the chart on sugar . Between the time I checked last year and yesterday, price of raw sugar has gone up by about 50%.
Going by my experience over the years with DS, an increase in the international price of sugar always affect the company performance as there will be a time lag for them to pass the increments to the consumers.
When one decides to have a substantial part of his portfolio in a particular company, I believe one should be well informed about the company and everything that can affect its performance going forward.
DS backward integration is the biggest sugar investment in Nigeria,

Mind you, I don't pay corporate tax

My younger sister pays far more than that oo. I am sure a lot of people on NSEMPA pay more than that

21% as tax is on the high side

It is still cheaper. I don't think I would have paid 500k per annum if it was PAYE.

That 500k per annum covered my direct tax assessment for the 3 branches of the business
Oga 500k plenty o.
That's more than than 40k per month.
PAYE is from 7% to 24%.

Most big CEOs don't pay more than 21%

They only used their discretion, that I should be be able to pay an additional tax as my personal income tax even though I don't report to work every day roughly between 10 to 12 hours per week.

I need the tax clearance to renew my permit for the business
That's discretion is the reason why some of us register as LLC and fill income tax through our Salaries (PAYE).

FIRS is mild compared to LIRS shocked shocked shocked

emmanuelewumi:
It is registered, they are paid PAYE every month from the workers

I think the direct assessment from LIRS which I pay once in a year is cheaper for me
I don't like the direct assessment, because it is at discretion of the LIRS.

As a business owner, you should also be on the payroll
Filling your PAYE through your company payroll is cheaper and convenient.

Elumelu/Heirs Holdings are the ones behind the massive bids on Transcorp today and not pension funds or institutional funds. Also, Transcorp rushed to publish their bad results yesterday in an attempt to drive down the price but retail investors no dey gree sell. E dey sweet. grin grin grin
Well, Elumelu/Heirs Holdings won't allow transcorp out of their grip.

I watched the movie nah, Jordan and his team made mad money by cunning people into buying bad stocks, especially dead penny stocks. It has nothing to do with volatility.

Those people in the movie were not even doing any TA or FA, just be buying stocks based on recommendations from the wrong people.

To make money in the market you need to do due diligence, whether TA, FA or with luck charms.
Well they feed on greedy investors.

No. According to the annual report, Tony owns less than 5% of Transcorp. If he owns more than what is stated in the annual report then he is likely committing a crime of non-disclosure which should be punishable.
I said through "Heirs Holdings".
Tony is Heirs Holdings chairman.
