Wike controls all the thugs, agberos, active cultists and militants in Rivers state. Election in Rivers state is more about a show of strength between miscreants and urchins. Can the Fubaras match the agberoism of Wike and his cohorts? |

Basic123:what exactly does this picture depict? Is this the best you guys can dig out on Obi? |
Nothing unusual here. This is the kind of leadership Nigerians deserve! As silly as this campaign style may seem, African politicians will continue to do this because it works! E no dey give money! E no dey give money!! This is the reason a lot of people will not vote Obi. You can never overemphasise the dangers of poverty and illiteracy. The only reason APC got votes in 2023 was because of the widespread poverty and illiteracy. Using the last election as a case study, APC lost in all affluent and enlightened neighbourhoods across Lagos and even Abuja. But won in other zones where poverty and illiteracy thrives. Tribe or religion wasnt even a factor. Same will happen again in 2027 - The weaponisation of poverty! |
Ofunaofu:The reason is simple; the majority of people supporting Tinubu/APC aren't exactly dumb. They know Tinubu isn't doing well but just chose to support him for other reasons. |
Oboz da boss!!! Very well deserved! |

Kog45:The last election can't be used as a yardstick to measure who's more tribally sentimental because OBI was clearly a better candidate who enjoyed the most genuine and organic support from voters within and outside his tribe. To answer your question, whilst I would not dismiss the inherent nature of Nigerians especially from the 3 main tribes to be extremely tribal, if Tinubu were to be from the SE, he clearly wouldn't have gotten up to half the votes and support which Obi got in 2023. Likewise if Obi was from the SW, he would still have received a large chunk of votes from the SE. Possibly only 50% of Obi's support in the SE can be linked to tribal influence; the rest of it was largely influenced by merit, which explains why he also got massive suppport from other zones across Nigeria. As I repeatedly pointed out prior to the last election, if APC had fielded someone like Prof. Osinbajo, despite the tribal influence, Obi wouldn't have smelt up to half the votes he got from the SE. In otherwords, the entire "Obi buzz" from the last election and even to date, and the landslide support Obi got from the SE, was largely a creation of the character and pedigree of the candidate fielded by the APC. |
Bendeco02:To answer your question, YES! The US influence in the Sahara influenced the rise of Bokoharam terrorism in northern Nigeria. Prior to 2011, bokoharam was just a ragtag Islamic sect with malnourshed confused people. Whenever they struck then, Nigerian forces unleashed hell on them. But curiously, after the 2011 elimination of Gaddafi, Bokoharam somehow became so formiddable to the point of invading and wiping out Nigerian military bases. How did Bokoharam become so formiddable overnight? You think those sophisticated weapons brandished by bokoharam fell from the sky? After arming random militia terror groups in the Sahara to help outst Gaddafi, where did you think those arms ended up? Meanwhile regarding ISWAP, isn't ISWAp supposed to be the African branch of ISIS? Who exactly armed and empowered (and even possibly created) ISIS to help eliminate the Russia backed Assad regime in Syria? |
If you check who's sponsoring and supporting and arming the separatists and Islamic militias, it will be the US and France engaging in an indirect power tussle against Russia. Exactly how they also armed and sponsored terror militia groups in the Sahara to outst Gaddafi, and since his elimination inn 2011, those arms somehow ended up with boko terrorists, unleashing mayhem for the past 14 years in northern Nigeria and Chad. Africa will always remain a dispensible chess board for global powers. |
Whether we accept it or not, tribal and religious sentiments will always be a major influence in election choices amongst Nigerians. A large chunk of OBI supporters support him because of his tribe. However, OBI also enjoys a massive organic support base from all over Nigeria, including the SW. I strongly believe up to half or even more of the 6 million votes OBI got in the last election were from non-Igbos. Similarly, a disproportionately massive chunk of those not supporting OBI actually reject him purely because of his tribe. If OBI wasn't an Igbo man, his support base would have trippled. On the other divide, a large chunk of Tinubu supporters in the SW only support him because of his tribe - they dont necessary like him. If OBI was a Yoruba man, Tinubu wouldnt have smelt any votes even in the SW. Lastly, Tinubu supporters in the north support him for 2 reasons - first being that they dont like the tribe of his most visible rival (OBI), and secondly because of religion. |
This agberoic behavior is what some unfortunate fellows glorify as "master strategy from the master strategist". Their numerous comments already litter the thread glorifying barbaric politics. |
Dynamicboss:Iran hasn't invaded any country since WW2 despite their military capabilities and despite their massive stockpile of ballistic missiles. But somehow, the world has been made to believe they're so unstable, so uncontrollable and so irrational, so much so that they would instantly use nukes the very moment they lay their hands on it. Meanwhile, the USA literally has the largest known stockpile of nukes and other devilish weapons of mass destruction. This same US has attacked and bombed 50+ sovereign countries since WW2 and has directly and indirectly caused the death of multiple millions through invasive wars (the greater majority of victims being innocent men, women and children, wasted as collateral damage). This same US also holds the world record as the only ones in history to have used nukes on a civilian population, and this act happened TWICE in history. Need I even mention that the US is also known to have used banned chemical weapons to wipe out entire villages during the Vietnam invasion. Despite these, I have since birth been made to believe the USA has a right to own (and even use) nukes while also unilaterally dictating who should and shouldn't own nukes. If there's anything I find really amazing about the USA, it has to be their unmatched ability to brainwash and control the mind of the world. 🙌🏽 |
Parachoko:I didnt ask you about the exchange rate here, rather I asked that you simply mention the CAPITAL projects, completed or ongoing in the last 3 years, that are worth the N80 trillion borrowed so far... The Buhari government also repeatedly justified its insane borrowings by claiming they were for capital projects. At the end, we all realised it was all a lie; rather possibly over 90% of the funds borrowed by buhari were for subsidy and salary payments and stealing. Now Tinubu clearly isn't paying the subsidies that swept off over 90% of buhari's borrowings; nevertheless, Tinubu has borrowed more in 3 years than what Buhari borrowed in 8 years. So abeg, where are the capitial projects completed by Tinubu that can account for the N80 Trillion? How can any normal person stand to defend this devilry? |
Parachoko:Can you kindly point out the capital projects that have been completed with almost N80trillion in borrowings in just 3 years? "We are borrowing for capital projects, we are borrowing for capital projects!!" This sounds like a beautiful nonsense excuse the government is using to deceive undescerning people. These capital projects that are worth N80trillion, where are they located? |
Without digging into much details, for a person like Tinubu to sack someone like Edun, it means Mr Edun was doing something right. |
benardtotti:I just sighted the plaque now... damnnn ![]() |
Just like in 2023, the APC is relying on widespread illiteracy and poverty to win the election again. |
Mattswaggz:It's never too late to 'have wisdom'... If I foolishly followed someone in the past to a useless battle which doesnt concern me, there's no shame in retracing my steps and avoiding another senseless battle. By the way, what exactly is the point you're driving at? |
Mattswaggz:Because I joined him to go rob before, that doesnt mean I don't have the right to repent and refuse to join in further robbery operations. |
Mattswaggz:Because I may one day need the help of my classmate who is a blood sucking cultist and ruthless gangster, that doesnt mean I would have to accompany him if he invites me to one of his midnight robbery operations. When he needs help in reasonable things, I will surely come through for him, but just not for banditry. |
Mattswaggz:The truth is that European leaders for the first time in a very long time, surprisingly chose not to be foolish spineless puppets of the US who would be dragged into one of the most useless, senseless and unnecessary wars of the decade. |
Betterthanwalki:Funny how some persons foolishly brag about how wonderful this regime is because allocations to state governors has increased by under 60%.... Meanwhile the exchange rate has tumbled by almost 500% and prices of basic goods have increased by 500-1000% in the last 3 years... |
Kaliningrad:Another sad war where thousands of ordinary people keep dying over a stupid dick measurement exercise between Russia and the US. |
