If you want to do secular vocation, resign from ministry and go into it so that people will patronize you on the strength of secular skill and not capitalize on human vulnerability to exact charges on people.

All these quests to amass wealth by whatever means and boast therewith that is common today majorly in the African Church is driven by the love for mammon and Jesus, I am sure, is not part of it.

I believe that's exactly what he did. In addition to being a pastor, he's runs a personal business as a relationship counsellor/therapist/coach. Now as part of his business, he has set up what seems to be a dating app, and just like Tinder or Bumble, there's a free version and a premium subscription.

As long as he's not forcing anyone to patronise his app, I wonder what the uproar is about. Him being a pastor is probably the reason for the noise.

The USA has several of this type of imterstate highways that span from one end of the country to the other.

Since 1999 to date, if the governor of a state belongs to 'Party A', then all LGA elections in that state MUST automatically be won 100% by 'Party A'. This is one strange Nigerian phenomenon which no one has bothered to interrogate or explain.

The benin-warri highway is barely 60 miles long and it used to take 45mins to 1hour back in the days. But in the past 10 years, travellers have endured over 2-3 hours on same road. Meanwhile, the bad sections aren't even that extensive and it would take less than 0.01% of the money being expended on the so-called coastal road to instantly patch and make life easy for millions. But what do we get?

When sensible people suggested that existing operational roads be patched first to make life easy for Nigerians before embarking on white elephant legacy projects, useful idiots said we were "enemies of Nigeria's progress".

This current government did not devalue the naira but rather they sanitized the CBN. The CBN governor can no longer get rich via giving people dollar allocations. The real value of the naira in 2023 is what it is today

Devaluation or not, that's beside the point. My comment was directed at those bragging about "increased FAAC allocation" as if it's some brilliant economic achievement or magic.

$1million prior to 2023 was ~N360million. That same $1million in 2024-2026 is approximately N1.5billion. The apparent increase in FAAC allocation is just common sense. In dollar terms, FAAC hasn't increased at all.

This is why I always look in disbelief at the intellectual shallowness of government apologists who keep bragging about increased FAAC allocation and governors not owing salaries, as achievements of Tinubu.

Any barely sound person can see it's just a result of the massive Naira devaluation.

Naira was devalued by almost a factor of 5; in addition, government stopped paying subsidies and petrol prices jumped by a factor of 5, but worker wages were barely doubled. With this injustice, any governor that still owes salaries deserves to be burnt to death.

Some politicians are desperately and heartlessly hypocritical.

Funny how the very hardship Tinubu and all his current supporters lambasted Jonathan about is now 10 times worse, but somehow these people find a way to convince themselves that all is now well and working well.
