Going by this report, it means even Peter OBI gave more to hospitals from his private pocket than the federal government released for capital projects. Yet the government has borrowed tens of trillions.

Some of these people have really despicable mentalities. Just imagine this one equating people desiring a separate country with terrorists who kill and maim thousands of people on a regular basis. The hatred these folks have for Igbos is even worse than the regard they have for their own lives.

If these guys hate the Igbos so much, then why do they hate the fact that ipob wants to leave the union?

Then where is the real time upload
If I send a message on Whatsapp, even if there's no network on my phone, the message registers on the system as being sent and whenever network returns to the phone, the message will be delivered.

The most important point here is that it registers on the system as being uploaded at a certain timestamp and there should be no option to resend or alter the uploaded result at a later time or date.
PoliticsRe: Senate Passes E-transmission Of Results with 'clause' by obailala(m): 4:19pm On Feb 10
Still not good enough and definitely not what Nigerians need!

The current provision still gives desperate politicians a very well lubricated loophole to bypass the e-transmission of results.

On election day I'm sure 90% of the country's polling units would return the same excuse - no network.

The surprising thing it usually happens when the car is on slow motion
It can actually happen any time. But it's only when it happens in slow motion that the world knows it is what happened. In otherwords, if it happens when fast, it typically leads to a catastrophic accident involving the vehicle summersaulting and people usually wouldn't realise that this was the cause.

Charge or sentence them to court if you want to. Deport them even if you feel like it. But, "larceny," "money laundering remarks," "driving under the influence liquor," "conspiracy (to do what?), "intimidation," and "theft of US government property (why not state the property involved in clear terms?) should never earn anyone anywhere the lifetime tag of "worst of the worst." These funny charges already make suspect of the other charges. Really feel for some of these guys.
Some of those charges actually got me confused; traffic offences, DUI, intimidation, conspiracy, and these are supposed to be the "worst of the worst" criminals in the US?

Now we are getting somewhere. It is no longer that all other roads have been abandoned to focus on the coastal road, it is jsut that the other roads they are working on have not gotten to the ones close to you.
Go back and read my two earlier comments on this thread. I specifically pointed out the importance of sensible prioritisation.

By the way, Benin-Warri road or PH-Aba road arent the only bad roads needing quick attention in Nigeria.

Non-sens and ingridients.....

All the roads that are simultaneously going on, did the coastal road stop it? Diesani is being tried in the UK for money stolen from Nigeria, there is no noise from you guys but the guy who says rather than make money available to be stolen let us use it for projects it then you guys start speaking grammar. Priority ko priority nee.

All the roads that are being done right now, did they stop?

Key projects, often utilizing concrete pavement, include the Enugu–Onitsha Road, 2nd Niger Bridge access roads, and Enugu–Port Harcourt Expressway.

Enugu–Onitsha Road (107 km): Funded partly via the MTN Tax Credit scheme.

Enugu–Onitsha Road (72 km): Reconstruction by CBC.

2nd Niger Bridge Access Road (17.5 km): Dualization and construction.

Enugu–Abakaliki Road (36 km): Ongoing construction.

Lokpanta–Enugu Road (61 km): Dualization.

Enugu–Port Harcourt Expressway: Major rehabilitation sections.

Enugu Bridge at Artisan Market: Completed reconstruction.

Akpoha Bridge, Ebonyi State: Completed construction.

Aba-Owerri Road (NNPC Depot Expressway), Abia State: Rehabilitation.

Umuahia to Aba Road: Construction project.

Angingali-Udobi-Udona-Umo-Uwana-Ubalaka Road, Imo State: Construction.

These projects are part of the Renewed Hope Agenda, with the Federal Ministry of Works, led by David Umahi.
Ordinary Nigerians who simply want a better life, and who aren't given to noisy political sycophancy, are tired of this rhetorical nonsense! Fix the damn roads, people will see results, and they'd spend their time talking of other things. You wouldn't have to be in Nairaland everyday preaching 'Renewed Hopelessness'.

The Benin-Warri highway is barely 60 miles long and the truly bad sections arent even that extensive. Yet for the last decade, it's been taking over 3 frustrating hours to drive between both cities and you're talking 'Renewed hope'? What makes it even more infuriating is how short the distance is and how easy it would be to patch uyp such a short stretch.

The current government has been around for close to 3 years now, yet you expect sensible people to applaud you for abandoning such a simple fix in favour of building a brand new road? .. and you think nothing's wrong with your sense of priorities?

What about the short stretch of Federal road between Port-Harcourt and Aba? That's barely 35 miles, yet it takes close to 2 hours and this has been the case for ages. Several other similar cases all over the nation, yet the only brilliant thing you can say is Diezani?

Any body that stays in Lagos, particularly on the Island, and still considers Obi better than BAT needs to go for a psychological evaluation.

We told them that no infrastructure is useless once it is built. They were listening to all the opposition that offered nothing.

Atiku's condemnation of the road was at least to ask for clarification on the contracting process. That one is good small, but you see the other guy, that one who likes to attend burials,

He considered it a waste; it is the same waste that is benefiting Nigerians in Lagos now.
wwwihy:
Especially the Agulu Fraud , Mr Negativity
No one really needs special wisdom or intelligence to understand the concept of priorities!

Over ₦15 trillion for a brand-new coastal road, while abandoning federal highways that carry 99% of the traffic to rot for years is pure misplacement of priorities.

The very short Benin–Warri critical stretch for example that should take 30–45 minutes if patched up, currently steals 2-3 hours of people’s lives daily, and this has been a nightmare for close to a decade. Only a miscoscopic fraction of the cost of the coastal road would solve this and thousands of other similar problems faced by millions.

So no, this isn’t about being 'anti-development' or partisan, this is just basic common sense. You don’t abandon serviceable infrastructure to chase shiny mega-projects that may not even be completed in 20 years. Poor prioritization is poor prioritization!

I understand where you guys are coming from though, and its clearly not from ignorance. Rather it’s driven by blind political loyalty or possibly ethnic sentiments; you guys just feel a need to endorse whatever the government does while opposing watever the opposition says. So a debate on this is really pointless!

Never make the mistake of thinking that these MOG care about your overall growth.

The only thing you can do is to go to church, listen to the pure, unadulterated word of God, then apply them to your daily living.

If any sermon there is too complicated, seek your Bible and contact the Holy spirit for advice.
Did I or anyone around me complain to you that my pastor doesnt care about me?

If the body of Christ shows workings, unbelievers will love to partake in the communion of the saints.

So once they hear the voice of The Word {John 1:1} reminding them of the danger of following pagan traditions they heed such warnings they won't argue.
The New year observance is from pagan traditions not found among God's servants!🙂
I asked you to provide the biblical verse you claim prohibits prayer/worship vigils on the eve of a new month or year, but you obviously can’t cos it doesn’t exist. Instead, you keep throwing out irrelevant verses that don’t support your core claim in any way.

According to your logic, since some pagans worshipped their deities on the eve of a new year, it automatically means that any Christian praying to God on New Year’s Eve is also practicing paganism? undecided

DmonSlayer10:
Fruitless semantics.....

"JEEP" is simply a brand name..like ""INNOSON" or "PEUGEOT" or "COSCHARIS"...

...it is not a "generic" name for "4 × 4" or a generic name for S.U.Vs.

Therefore using small letter "j" in the word "(j)Jeep" does not make any difference.

Because the brand name "JEEP"'has become so popular in the 4 × 4 or S.U.V market( due to its pioneer advantage) some people now tend to call every S.U.V "JEEP"....as they call every seasoning cube "MAGGI" and every detergent "Omo".

See?
The person you quoted wasnt wrong.

The term "JEEP" has grown beyond just being a brand name. While it may not be suitable in formal reports, the term can actually be used interchangeably with the term "SUV" to refer to ANY rugged SUV... And this isnt exactly a Nigerian thing.

Can these people just have their different country?
Which different country again? They believe the entire lands and resources of Nigeria, from the northern Sahel down to the swamps of the Niger Delta, all belong to them... They believe you are an illegal occupier of their God given land which was promised them by their great grand pa Usman Dan Fodio. The current campaign is to take over all Nigerian lands by fire and by force to settle all their brothers who have been displaced from all across west africa... They've since colonised the entire northern Nigeria, seized half of Benue and are currently making headway in Kwara. E go soon reach us for the South.

Its funny how every commentator on this matter keeps shying away from the real story that the Fulanis have declared a full scale war on all other Nogerian tribes. Meanwhile Igbos and Yorubas still dey fight their foolish fight while the enemy approaches.

Why's everyone so afraid of stating the obvious truth that the Fulanis has declared war on the rest of Nigeria?

The wave of violence we see all over is simply the Fulani tribe being desperate to dominate Nigeria and seize lands by force to resettle their relatives displaced from all over west Africa.
