Enugurangers:Obi ran literally as an independent candidate in 2023 with zero structure in a shithole country where rigging, corruption and other animalistic, barbaric tactics are glorified as 'political prowess'. The only reason you mock the 'online' popularity of Obi is because you know when it comes to street votes with INEC being the umpire, then the black man senseless barbarism will take precedence. If Obi could pull 6.1 million votes against Atiku's 6.8 million, despite Atiku being in the almighty PDP which had over 10 governors at the time, then certainly in a free and fair contest devoid of rigging, Obi would have pulled way more votes than Atiku. Infact, only the votes stolen from Obi in Rivers and Lagos could have made him surpass Atiku clearly... In summary, Obi was way more popular than Atiku in 2023 and Obi is way more popular than Atiku currently. |
I actually expect it to be much more. In a few years, Dangote would be richer than Nigeria. |
yarimo:Only the undiscerning and illiterate could mistake Obi's concerns about excessive food importation at the detriment of local farmers for unhappiness over falling food prices. |
This is what happens when you're playing against the REFEREE in a match. The US literally owns and controls the US dollar, so what else should anyone expect in this scenario? Same this happened in Zimbabwe. Mugabe reclaimed lands from colonialist, the US simply flipped a button and Zimbabwean dollar automatically became 'used tissue paper' overnight. This is same reason Gaddafi was hunted and murdered on the streets by ISIS operatives. He dared to suggest that African countries should use gold for foreign reserves instead of US dollar. That would have sidelined the US as the Alpha and Omega in the global evonomy.... Within a month of sharing that thought, Gaddafi was assassinated in a sham war. The US controls the world, and anyone who dares to go against their orders go collect. |
Philistine:Sorry sir, I don't remember ever bragging to you that I was a smart genius. Meanwhile I only stated my observation in the political sphere of Nigeria. When your opponent starts advising you on what to do to defeat them, then you should know you must be doing something right. |
Lol... If a vote for Obi is supposedly a vote for Tinubu, how come so many obvious Tinubu supporters are the ones passionstely sharing this advice online? |
manmade:You dont even need any forensics to determine that the video was doctored. The VDM clip was from an old existing VDM video |
thesicilian:Under a free and fair election, Tinubu can't win Obi. But unfortunately, Tinubu already knows this, and Tinubu is not a man known to leave anything to chance. The plan from Day 1 has never been a fair election. |
stuffs2002:Oga lets be honest with ourselves. The reason your people will not vote OBi is cos of tribalism. Tribalism is also the reason you have misread what Psquare said. Firstly, Peter didnt post that picture. He only tweeted that Nigerians ought to be aware that electoral choices have consequences. That statement by Peter is a FACTUAL statement and it wasn't directed at any tribe; rather it is you and your cohorts that have turned it to a tribal matter. Secondly, the picture that was posted was a RESPONSE to the tweet by Peter. There's nothing in that picture that is directed at any tribe. The picture showed different victims of insecurity from different parts of the country. Yes Peter retweeted it, but again, the picture wasn't directed at any tribe. It is you and your ilk that have turned it to a tribal matter. By the way, if we are honest and we exclude every tribal sentiment, who doesnt really see that Tinubu and his ilk have failed in securing the country? Why are we always like this in Africa? Always self sabotaging? Jonathan failed in security and we all joined forces and lampooned him. Buhari came in and performed even worse than GEJ, and now Tinubu is doing even worse than both. If not for tribalism, why is anyone even defending Tinubu on this level of failure? What's really wrong with us in Africa? Gosh! |
manmade:Sorry just seeing this now. What I'm curious to know is who exactly is going to be charged with this Cybercrime law in this case? Is it the blogs posting it or is it Bayo who re-shared it to threaten VDM or is it you and I who listened and forwarded the audio to our friends? VDM did not generate the alleged audio, and VDM did not post or share the audio to anyone on his pages. Even in the video he posted purportedly denying the claim, he didn't even as little as repost the so called audio for context. Someone obviously cropped an existing video of VDM talking of a totally different issue, and then they added the so-called audio to a previously existing video. So how is the existence of this audio recording even the business of VDM? |
Omotaday:What context are you talking about? Electoral choices have consequences, and the truism of this statement cannot be wished away on tribal or political sentiments. If i hire a mechanic to fix my car and they end up damaging my car, it wouldn't exactly be smart of me to keep pushing to re-engage the same mechanic. If I do, then i don't think there's any wrong if someone reminds me that my choices can have consequences. Meanwhile, the victims shown in that post aren't only victims from Oyo; those pictures cut across Nigeria, and there's literally no part of Nigeria not feeling the current wave of insecurity. So, why is this being turned to an Igbo vs Yoruba tribal issue? Regarding the key message on electoral choices having consequences, whilst it's a valid piece of advice relevant to ALL Nigerians, you can't deny the fact that it's more relevant for any person or group of persons who statistically are more likely to support the continuation of the current inept regime. |
Biodun1929:The pictures posted about victims of insecurity weren't only pictures from Oyo state. Oyo isnt the only part of Nigeria facing insecurity. In fact, there’s no part of Nigeria that isnt currently hit by the unchecked wave of insecurity, and the insensitivity of the government on this is so loud. ELECTORAL CHOICES HAVE CONSEQUENCES!!! This a clear, unambiguous and morally sound message to all Nigerians. And no, this isn't about Oyo so stop trying too hard to tribalise it by making it about Oyo. |
Omotaday:What's wrong or immoral or even tribal in pointing out that poor electoral choices can have dire consequences? If Peter wasn't an Igbo person, if Peter was say a foreigner, would you lot have also interpreted that as an inappropriate statement? |
dibunotion:At least we've tried one and he failed woefully. So why's anyone even talking of re-electing failure? Wouldnt it be foolishness to reinforce failure? If under a first tenure, things are this bad, what then would happen in a second tenure when there'd be absolutely nothing to lose? Before 2023, Tinubu was asked how he'd solve the insecurity problem. His brilliant response was that he'd "just recruit 50 million youths into the army and feed them with cassava, yam and agbado"... Instead of taking such incoherent nonsense seriously, Nigerians rather joked about it on social media, and now we're reaping the consequences. |
My thoughts exactly. Clueless people just working on overdrive trying to weaponise tribalism. Saying that our electoral choices can have consequences, how exactly does that amount to mocking the victims of insecurity? A regime that pays absolutely no attention to the security of ordinary Nigerians. People are kidnapped all over Nigeria and there's a loud silence from the people elected to protect Nigerian lives. Now people are saying there're consequences to choices, and some cretins are trying to divert this with tribalism? In 2013 after the Nyanya bomb blast, GEJ ignored the victims and went dancing on a stage at a political rally in Kano. The same people who joined us in dragging GEJ for his insensitivity then, are the same people now somehow defending the ineptitude and insensitivity of Tinubu on the bases of tribe. |
IsraeliAIRFORCE:Emefiele also granted the same foreign exchange privilege to tens of thousands of businessmen who met the requirements. The question is, where are are the other 9,999 businessmen? The same Emefiele you talk about also diverterted billions of dollars privately, stashing the funds in foreign banks. Several other businessmen and bankers who similarly got the forex only round-tripped the funds to instantly enrich themselves with billions overnight - The story of bankers like the late Wigwe is well known. But somehow, you expect me to join an undiscerning mob in cursing out Dangote who appears to be the only one who used the privilege to better the lives of Nigerians and the economy of Nigeria? All because Dangote did not give me free fuel? |
Demonic01:I understand there's hunger and poverty in the land, which explains why you think being employed by a president to run around making a fool of oneself is a dignified flex. But I'm sorry boy, neither myself nor my family members are hungry or in need of some stupid dishonourable appointment. Meanwhile, VDm is actually back in Nigeria. Make una go arrest am! I wouldn't be surprised if you do, cos that's what is typically expected of a barbaric regime run by clueless imbeciles and hailed by rascals who think the best way to lead a country is by silencing dissenting voices. CLUELESSNESS is the only reason why a government instead of showcasing its achievements (if any) after 3.5 years, is more focused on prioritising the arrest of individuals who speak against it. |
Afonja007:Dangote is not father christmas to give free food to you or the ordinary Nigerian. Nevertheless, the strides by Dangote in the oil sector is way more beneficial to the ordinary nigerian than all the governments put together since 1999. A single individual who employs more Nigerians than government and multinational operators, a single individual whose strides helps to directly and indirectly feed hundreds of thousands, that indeed is a hero figure, especially when compared with other wealthy Nigerians who dump and invest their loot in foreign countries. |
I dont see anything wrong in what he said. Nigger is only trying to survive. There's no difference between his position and the position of millions who have either abandoned Nigeria and japad, or who will not bother to come out on election day to vote. He's simply saying he has given up on the possibility of the current leadership ever getting anything right. And since the opposition will not get its act right, he would rather be on the side of the devil that to be on its path. I dont think there's anything dishonorable in his statement cos unlike some others that we know, at least he acknowledges the govt is a painful disaster. |
lenghtinny:Trust me, the only reason why the charade in Rivers was allowed to slide was because the isolated results from Rivers state alone was inconsequential overall. If the situation in Rivers was also the situation across the entire Nigerian (i.e. he's totally unpopular across rhe federation), the charade of writing results wouldnt have worked. The truth about Nigerian elections is that votes still count. No matter how much rigging they do, politicians still need some level of genuine support, even if its just from a minority to be able to easily rig the rest of the way. Despite their plans to rig, these politicians know that votes still count, and that's why they still spend money campaigning and even buying votes. |
Ekwulobia people don collect stray groundnut... ![]() |
lenghtinny:Yeah, doctored or not, the fact remains that there are still many who voted him, and who are still willing to re-elect him. If absolutely no one voted for him, it would have been impossible to doctor the results. |
cyberbro:This is the reason why for the first time in Nigeria's history, presidential elections were held in 2023 without a presidential debate because one of the key candidates was too afraid to show up. Or perhaps his handlers were aware of the risk of letting him show up for a live debate. The same man who was asked before the 2023 elections how he intended to tackle the insecurity problem; his response on live TV was that he'd recruit 50 million youths into the army and feed them with cassava, yam and agbado. With all the clear signs, a large number of persons still voted him in and are still fighting to reinstall him as president. Africa is indeed cursed! |
Amazing how the people who support and idolise this man actually have the audacity to say OBI isn't intelligent. Imagine for a second it was Obi that gave this kind of incoherent response to this question? The internet would have been agog! The last time he was asked about how he would tackle insecurity, his response was that he would recruit 50 million youths into the army. 3 years down the line, how many of those 50 million youths has he recruited? Yet this man some intellectuals brag about being intelligent while Obi is dull. For the first time in Nigeria's history, presidential elections were held without a presidential debate cos a key candidate called Tinubu was too afraid to show up. Even the semi-literate Buhari showed up for debates, but this is the person some intellectuals think is the best candidate to lead Nigeria at this time? 3 years down the line, ZERO progress, but people are still scrambling to queue and vote him because of 5kg bags of rice and tribal sentiments. Who even cursed Africa? |
manmade:Can you be kind enough to explain how he committed cyber stalking or cyber bullying under this current circumstance? |
manmade:Obviously you cannot name any law he broke because there is none. Like I said before, a lot of Nigerians like you confuse the banana-republic barbarism with actual law. |
manmade:What law exactly did VDM break? Someone cropped an old video of VDM and added an 'alleged' audio recording of Tinubu to the video. The video wasnt shared by any account belonging to or linked to VDM, but somehow you and so many others think VDM has broken a law? Apparently, a lot of Nigerians seem to confuse banana-republic barbarism with actual law. |
Demonic01:Who exactly is this "presidential official" that shouldn't be insulted by VDM? Bayo Onanuga? You mean the hungry retardedd imp that goes around embarassing himself, his family and Nigerians without any iota of shame? That's the person you claim shouldn't be called out for his folly because he was appointed by the president? |
The only reasons our politicians treat us like fools, is because they know we are fools. |
viralmoney25:There’s no education we pay for that isn’t already available for free. But many people still need human guidance because a lot of them either can’t research effectively on their own or simply prefer being guided by someone and are happy to pay for that guidance. In the end, it comes down to supply and demand. If there were absolutely no demand for a product, there would be no sellers. You can’t really blame sellers for being resourceful enough to identify something people want and offering it for sale. |
Burob:Yes most certainly, its the same thugs used by Wike to chase Amaechi out of Rivers, the same hooligans also used by Wike to unilaterally install Fubara. The issue that cannot be dismissed is that these people still fear and are controlled by Wike. |
