Obi has no personality or integrity, just a cult following of disillusioned folks who saw him as a messiah after fPMB's administration. We know what he did with pandora papers and SARS. We know what Obiano and Soludo have to say about him. None of the presidential candidates is convicted of any crime. They all have allegations including the one i mentioned about Obi.

For those too young to remember, under Peter Obi’s watch Akwuzu SARS was a symbol of fear, torture, and brutality. Many innocent Nigerians especially Igbos from Anambra State were harassed, detained, extorted, and subjected to inhumane treatment without due process.

First of all, the Pandora argument is nonsense! There was absolutely no crime committed and neither was there any breach of ethics by Obi in not declaring that his wife or kids had foreign bank accounts as far back as in 1996. His wife and kids were not the ones contesting for election in 2003 (Obi declared his own accounts). If after almost a decade of aggressive scrutiny, the only case you guys can conjure and still latch onto as your brilliant evidence that Obi is "also corrupt like the other politicians you adore", then that is sure proof that Obi is a saint when it comes to past and present African leaders. Do you even have a clue what the Pandora case on Obi was really about? or you just want to join the bandwagon?

Then the Akwuzu SARS issue - every adult Nigerian is aware of how criminally brutal the Nigerian police and other armed forces can be. But then again, I never knew Obi was once a policeman and neither did I know Obi was the IG of police or the C-in-C of Nigeria who commands the police. Again, in your desperation to disparage Obi, how ridiculously clueless can you and your ilk get that of all the leaders in Nigeria, it is Obi you want to blame for police brutality.

Now back to the main argument, without the political capital of an established political party, Obi was able to do wonders in the last election and in the last 3 years, his name has been on the lips of every politician. A quick survey of the people opposed to his candidature from the north and even the SW proves the same thing, his tribe is the key factor working against his acceptance.

Can you reasonably explain? The last i remember election is won by majority votes and spread. Was it Obi's tribe that made him not as popular as Tinubu and Atiku that beat him silly? Was it tribe that made him not to have even ordinary party rep in all voting units? Obi had many votes everywhere he was expected to, which were major cities, South East and Christian dominated areas. Normal analytics predicted this before elections and that exactly what happened.

This time again, it's clear he'd lose. Does it have anything to do with his tribe? No. Clear logic, he's not as popular as Tinubu or Atiku.
2. His party is new and not popular or known to majority of voters, election is NOT online.
3. He has lost the Christian bloc vote that worked for him due to his previous islamization narrative.
4. The North will not vote for a new southerner. They'll either vote for a northerner or for Tinubu who has just 4 more years.

Clearly, he has no path to victory in the North which is over 50% of votes. In the South, his Christian votes are depleted. Even in his South East stronghold, his opponents will get more votes than previous. These are major reasons and there are others. If you cannot see reason, you can continue been deceived that he'd lose because of his tribe.

For a literally independent first-time candidate to poll over 6 million votes and win almost 14 states in an election where the announced winner, despite being in an established ruling party, got just over 8million votes, it's an extremely flawed narrative to term that as "beaten silly".

Secondly, you just buttressed the points I tried to make. The biggest factor working against Obi is his tribe. The majority of people who reject him from the north, and south-west are against him not because of character, antecedents or perceived capacity; they just cant stand his tribe and the tribe of the majority of his supporters both on and offline.

With Obi's currently known antecedents, personality, integrity and widespread popularity, if he were to have been from the north or middlebelt or even the south-west, Tinubu wouldn't even bother recontesting in 2027.

A typical trait of this demographic is to latch onto the same lame narrative: "oh, these foreigners are committing crimes, so therefore we must chase them out."

Same story in the UK, the US etc. - "Oh the immigrants are taking our jobs and our women, and even our university degrees"; always the low lives in society coming up with this narrative.

You claim the foreigners are committing crime, yet when it's time to act, you glaringly ignore those on the street who may actually be committing the crimes; instead you go after the successful ones with legitimate businesses or jobs who live decent, productive lives while you languish in your squalor. Though not part of the current construction, the administration is also working on extending the Red Line train so people leaving the airport can take the train directly to the Ikeja bus stop.

When all of this is accomplished, it might just be the biggest achievement and most beautiful infrastructure project completed under President Tinubu.

Removing Atiku from the race actually damages Obi's chances of getting anywhere close to victory.

The majority of Tinubu's votes in the last election came from the north, and that was heavily influenced by Buhari's presence. Atiku being in the race in 2027 will cause major damage to Tinubu's northern votes. Remove Atiku and Tinubu automatically inherits the northern votes.

Secondly, the picture that was posted was a RESPONSE to the tweet by Peter. There's nothing in that picture that is directed at any tribe. The picture showed different victims of insecurity from different parts of the country. Yes Peter retweeted it, but again, the picture wasn't directed at any tribe. It is you and your ilk that have turned it to a tribal matter.

By the way, if we are honest and we exclude every tribal sentiment, who doesnt really see that Tinubu and his ilk have failed in securing the country? Why are we always like this in Africa? Always self sabotaging?

VDM did not generate the alleged audio, and VDM did not post or share the audio to anyone on his pages. Even in the video he posted purportedly denying the claim, he didn't even as little as repost the so called audio for context. Someone obviously cropped an existing video of VDM talking of a totally different issue, and then they added the so-called audio to a previously existing video. So how is the existence of this audio recording even the business of VDM?

What context are you talking about? Electoral choices have consequences, and the truism of this statement cannot be wished away on tribal or political sentiments.

If i hire a mechanic to fix my car and they end up damaging my car, it wouldn't exactly be smart of me to keep pushing to re-engage the same mechanic. If I do, then i don't think there's any wrong if someone reminds me that my choices can have consequences.

Meanwhile, the victims shown in that post aren't only victims from Oyo; those pictures cut across Nigeria, and there's literally no part of Nigeria not feeling the current wave of insecurity. So, why is this being turned to an Igbo vs Yoruba tribal issue?

Regarding the key message on electoral choices having consequences, whilst it's a valid piece of advice relevant to ALL Nigerians, you can't deny the fact that it's more relevant for any person or group of persons who statistically are more likely to support the continuation of the current inept regime.
