LongT:One's credibility can't be tested by one post on naira land, some people will do everything they can to bring other people down it is in their nature. He knew the message i was trying to pass across, but ignored it and looked at punctuation to discredit every single thing i said. which is ultimately useless in an unofficially discussion like this. |
ChybuzzDD:I believe this is not an official publication, i can observe punctuation if want or not, i can even use pidgin if i want, but let me say this, posting on nairaland is not a test of your credibility, am simply voicing out what i have been doing for the past years since graduation. If you have nothing nice to say get over peoples comment than try to pick faults no one cares about your negative energy. |
heniford2:e go good now send me account details ![]() |
dinodangana:wow you are a great guy, hopefully you will get to where u desire cheers! |
Asour:Thanks brother, no i have no professional qualification mostly due to funds, i really want all these but i have been limited by funds so most of all what i learnt are self taut, even the web development i learnt it for free ,as for the area of focus i focus on mostly web development, i just felt digital marketing and creative writing will enhance my skills thats why i developed interest in them but i add them to my profile as additional skills, i really appreciate this feedback and i will look at the scholarships opportunities in Russia and other areas thanks. |
I graduated with a first class in accounting and finance and finished my nysc 3 years ago. Since then i have attended interviews but to no avail, but immediately i finished nysc i started trading forex while looking for jobs. I also involved myself in my friend's entertainment start up 2 years ago as a web administrator on his website, travelled with him regularly for shoots even without pay. I Learnt digital marketing with a certification from google to improve my SEO skills, i took a lot of courses on how to code and build websites which i do today. I equally write books though i do this passively, am still hopeful i can have a tech start up soon, which is far from what i dreamt of when i was studying accounting and finance in school, but where i project the world is heading to. Though am still open to getting a job and launch my tech start up later in the future, as clients on web development do not come very often. I just love learning, i applied for a few scholarships over the years but still no reply, God will do it for me. |

HOW YOU CAN STAY FOCUSED WHEN CURRENT EVENTS DISTRACT YOU? By clement ndiok For one reason what so-ever the pandemic in 2020 scattered your plans, goals or infact turned your world upside down, we are left with so many questions to how to deal with the aftermath of the unbelievable event that took place in the world as a result of covid-19, what might seem like the in reversable doom of your plans can be turned around to be the start of something new. here are some viable ways to deal with your mental health to stay focused on your goals and starting something new if need be. What to do when bad news affects your focus at work Be an inquisitive eyewitness Checking your movement, especially with regards to "burdensome substance," is a valuable strategy for managing the troubles of recent developments. Dr. Amishi P. Jha, Director of Contemplative Neuroscience at the Mindfulness Research and Practice Initiative at the University of Miami, says that asking yourself what you need to escape something, such as checking Twitter or Facebook, can assist with guaranteeing that you stay on track and don't wind up in a destruction looking over twisting. "You must become meta-mindful, second by second. Which means, as you're becoming occupied with an assignment," she says, "it is a ceaseless interaction of observing and not contending with yourself." The more you work this meta-mindfulness into your day and become accustomed to analyzing what things mean for you, the simpler it will turn into. "Be interested about how everything is influencing you. Interest is the antitoxin to tension," says Dr. Kathleen Smith, a D.C-based specialist and creator of Everything Isn't Terrible. "Approach it as an analyst. Like, 'I will notice myself in my regular environment and see what designs I see. Is there an alternate method of approaching my day? Is there a smart method to exist at the present time?'" Put forward sensible objectives “It’s a bad idea to have the goal that you should be positive and crushing it right now because, under high-stress circumstances, the amount of cognitive energy it takes to be positive can actually deplete you more,” says Dr. Jha. “Have a lower bar, accept it, just go through it, and do the things you have to do without adding the burden of having to be the most positive person.” Asking yourself to work for five minutes, or breaking down your tasks into smaller pieces, for example, can be helpful ways to get yourself back on track. “Don’t turn it into this all-or-nothing scenario,” adds Dr. Smith. “We tend to do that. But you have to be able to ask yourself, ‘how would I define what a good workday looks like in this crazy 2020 world?’” Work inside sound limits For some, throwing themselves into work when the world feels like it’s on fire is a solid option. But there’s a catch: “Being busy is one way of calming yourself down. But I think if it’s the only tool that you have for managing anxiety then you’re going to get in trouble,” says Dr. Smith. “You can’t always count on your work being busy. You still need to be exercising, getting enough rest, eating well, all of the self-care basics you would expect.” Again, part of setting healthy boundaries around work involves that meta-awareness of what you’re doing and how it’s impacting you. Dr. Smith, for example, says that she “can’t solve any of the world’s problems after 9 p.m.” Adding boundaries like that to your workday can help you avoid unproductively dwelling on negative thoughts and emotions. It’s about knowing the difference between anxiety and thoughtfulness, which can feel the same for some. But there is a way to tell the difference. “To me, anxious focus is often trying to manage the thoughts and emotions of other people. Thoughtful focus is focusing on yourself. It’s asking, ‘what does it take to be a responsible employee?’” says Dr. Smith. Take a “both-and” approach Balance and flexibility are key to getting through these difficult times. So making room for both work and everyday life—the things that help make us feel like ourselves and keep us going—is important. “You can be productive at work and also give yourself space and time to process, and to think about these thoughts and feelings and see how that’s coming out in your thoughts and behaviors,” says Dr. Thomas A. Vance, an Atlanta-based therapist. He adds that doing things like making a schedule or creating a morning routine, taking breaks to go outside, exercising, and drinking water are great ways to work that sense of balance into your day. And it’s those other activities which can help make us more productive, too. “We have these rigid definitions of productivity and success,” says Dr. Smith. “Maybe we could get away with those last year, but now we need extra support more than ever. Keep your social connections alive Rules on social distancing are significant. Be that as it may, so is keeping your public activity flawless. Indeed, it's important for what can help you stay propelled in troublesome occasions. "There are bunches of approaches to be truly far off however not socially far off," says Dr. Vance. He recommends choices like gathering others at parks to eat and be outside with a protected measure of distance. Online encounters are as yet significant, and there have effectively been shifts in the innovation we utilize that address the social necessities that individuals have been inadequate. "Bunches of dating profiles and stages are presently adding this video segment where you're ready to video talk with the individual no doubt about it," says Dr. Vance. "We are normally friendly creatures. So sorting out what ways we can feel more associated, regardless of whether that is through Instagram or Facebook, that is an approach to remain associated with this actual distance." Social online media applications can in any case cause tension for a few, the pandemic has without a doubt made those applications more significant. Be aware of how we're utilizing these applications, ensuring we get what we need out of them and abandoning the rest. Have sympathy for yourself Many are grieving losses of all sizes, whether someone you know falls ill or your inability to see the people you love and live your life the way you want to. “A lot of us are traumatized . . . It’s kind of like being in the same storm that everybody’s impacted by, but we’re all in different boats. And on the different boats we have different tools and different environments,” says Dr. Vance. These different boats, he says, take the form of intersectional identities, which shape both who we are and how we respond to things. And those identities can mean pre-existing depression or anxiety, or just generally higher levels of stress. It’s important not to dismiss those layers of identity. It can feel urgent to “do all the things,” especially since so many of us have more time (theoretically) to be productive. But by giving yourself the space to be human and to heal, you can set yourself up for success and avoid pushing yourself beyond your limits. So celebrate your wins, acknowledge when things are getting too much for you, and above all, be kind to yourself. You deserve it. |

MaxInDHouse:Quite well u have full idea what you are saying seeing your biblical references but the true Christians you say today are very few and far fetched that's why we are encouraged not to judge Mathew7:1 that's the only way we could have have complete submission to God with the fruit of the spirit Galatians 5:22-23, God knows the human nature isnt perfect but the deviation we have today in religious gatherings have put us on course away from love and the truth, everything we have seen in from the book revelation by John is gradually playing out but then again the world needs help real help. |
trillest1960:Interesting, so we dnt need to accept Christ for us to be saved? |
MaxInDHouse:Another interesting debate, I believe Mathew 18:20 says for when two or three are gathered in my name I am in their mist, does that mean the church is not an actual place but the church is a group of people? There are so many conflicting beliefs among what different church denominations practice today and this conflicting beliefs have caused a high level of seperation among people who practice the same thing, love is the most important virtue to have after we become born again and seek salvation that is the same virtue lacking today in some churches. |
achorladey:Very interesting I love the teachings of Jesus, he demonstrated his teachings in his actions as a living example and it is clearly started in John 14:6 no one comes to the father except through him, I still dnt know why the teachings of Paul, John and some other prophets and apostles are being so emphasized more than the teachings of Jesus today. |
Mystery9:Yes Truly, I must say Jesus paid the highest price anyone in the universe could pay (John 3:16), he denied himself everything just to show us how we should live, imagine if some of our religious leaders had the power Jesus had? first some will make themselves the richest in the world first before we even talk of love. How many are even truly called by God? |
Kobojunkiee:Sure but as far as the world is manipulated by fear which these doctrines concentrate on knowingly and unknowingly people therefore will always be afraid, the Bible infact mentions "fear not" about 365 times stressing on the need not to be afraid except total fear of God (Job 28:28), (psalm 2:11) This world needs the kind of love Christ showed to everyone and the only hope will be establishing something universal that will be globally accepted that can bring love, then again these power hungry religious leaders will still find a way to bring structures to manipulate and control the world! |
MrBrownJay1:Exactly, but the problem here is that most Christians dnt read their bible and even the ones that do misinterpret it alot which alters our one believe on the basis of love. Humanity is in deep trouble with this possible threat on human extinction in the next century cnt be written out. |
Amotolongbo:I agree with this, Jesus Christ was the incarnation of the word of God, he loved everyone I mean everyone even Judas that betrayed him, he told his disciples if they truly want to be his disciples they must love everyone as he has loved them (John 13:34) . This love is what is lacking in churches today, some of the hierarchy built in churches today have made people worship religious leaders, in real sense this hierarchy should be means of people occupying these positions to live an exemplary life. |
Kobojunkiee:I think God some how permits and allows some things because this is what majority of people in the world have been trained to believe from birth, alot are so ignorant of so many things even till they pass on. |
There are about 4,200 religions in the world or more do you think God cares about the religion you belong to? Or infact he just cares about we treating each other with love like Jesus did as a requirement to eternal life, why I asked this is because churches (in Christianity) are very much separated in these times and the doctrines of these seperated churches are endless, tho most share some similar and common beliefs but their teachings and practice are completely different from each other. Opinions are welcomed |
