i am not entirely sure but i feel it is best u wait until his visa comes back OR use his COS to apply... his COS will carry all data about his skilled worker visa and will let the visa officer know about your maintenance(as a dependent) as well bcus it is mentioned on COS.
Just so u dnt complicate things further. As per refunds pls contact ihsrefunds via email to enquire
Check www.gov.uk

Thanks alot my visa has been granted. I was notified my application was not straight forward and once my husband's visa came out, mine was granted in less than 72hrs. Plese any advise on airlines. I hve been hearing amber, green and red zone countries. Does it mean its only british airline, virgin atlantic and klm/airfrance that can be used. I am allowed to transit through any country or a mandatory £1,750 will be required of me for hotel quarantine in uk if i transit through a red zone country. Thanks

if maintenance is ticked, main applicants + dependents do not need to show bank acct statemnt

Thanks for your response. I have an issue now, I discovered I was charged less for my ihs fee as opposed to what I am supposed to be charged. On the ihs website, I was asked for my husband's visa expiry date, visa route nd visa type nd I used the current student visa he is on to fill those details since he has not gotten his skilled worker visa yet but has resumed work already.

Do I cancel the application and request a refund and how long will it take to get the refund or do I proceed an wait to be contacted concerning the payment.

Hello house, good afternoon

Please I need some advise on this issues. The first is I am applying as a dependant of a skilled worker and my hubby(is switching from student indefinite leave to remain to skilled worker) has a certificate of sponsorship where employer certified maintenance for migrant(my husband) and dependants.
My question is, do I still add a bank statement? We cross checked with employer and we were told he doesnt need bank statement since he has been in UK for 4yrs+ and coS covers for him and I dont need to add any bank statements because of the coS.

Hello house good day to you. I need help from you all conerning my situation.

-I am about applying as a tier 4 dependant as my husband is in the uk on his phd(on full scholarship doesnt cover his dependant)..he has been there for some yrs and recently included me as his dependant while renewing his visa under the new tier 4 scheme.

-Now am abt applying as a dependant but we need clarifications on these issues pl

1) He has some funds in his Naira account and dorm and its been sitting there for several months. The two acc combined will be enough to cover my financial req...but there has been No transactions going in and out of the account. The account is still active tho and my husband requested the bank update to a non-resident status. We know the money ought to be there for minimum 28days and max 30days. Can I make use of the account statements from both acc without any issues with Eco? Will present statements with no transactions also cause problems?

2)Do I still need to submit my acc statement or his account statements will suffice?

3) How do we count the 28days if we are not just transfering the money into his account.

OR

3)I was suggesting to him that maybe we add extra some money to his account so we can use that for simple transactions and the account would not appear dormant with no active transactions. Is this advise wise? And how do we count 28days supposing we follow this route. Will it be nxt day after we transfer the little money we start counting?

4) I have very little money in my account and still trying to start up a small business. Do i still need to present my account statement?.

-5) Does the 28days include weekends too sat&sun.

.......Thank you soo much...I would appreciate your kind advise...Thank you.

I told them I went for my nysc which was for a year and I enrolled for some programs (I was asked what the programmes were and I mentioned what they were). You were not idle during that 6yr period... soo just explain to them you did this and that. Dont go into too much details if you are not asked. Be brief but dont leave out important details. And your composure as you answer the questions is also important (i may be wrong on this) but u dont want to be fridgeting.

Congratulations.
Please what did you explain for your gap year, as I have about 6 doing Private business.

Hello everyone,
I want to thank everyone who answered my questions and to those who posted their questions too and timelines, u guys are the best.

**********************************************************
Thatz by d way.... I want to share my timeline

Visa application made on 1st of August

Had my interview 2nd of August

Application sent to ukvi on 2nd of August

Received by ukvi on 5th of August

Didnt hear anything again till 31 August

Got a mail from tlc that decision has been made and I should come pick my passport at 4pm on friday 31st
August

Left for etibets place today 3rd sept and application was successful.

Soo for the INTERVIEW ......
I was asked to confirm my name, date of birth and name of school.

Can you confirm for me if you are fit enough for this interview?

Pls Confirm your nationality?

Why did you choose this course?

Why did you choose this school?

Did you apply to any other school?

How will this course affect ur career goals?

What is your sponsor's salary? (In this case, it was my dad).

How many of you are dependent on your sponsor's salary?.

What is ur expected salary upon your return?.

Do you have any relatives in the uk?

When last did you have contact with them?

What is your accommodation plan?

Where do you intend to stay during the period of your study?

What is the location of your accommodation?. Not the name of the block or hostel, the code....

What is your transportation plan?and how much will you be spending on transportation . And how do you intend to move from your lodge to school and back.
When did you complete your first degree and what did you study?

Explain your gap year?.

Can you tell me what and what you av been doing during your gap year?.

Have you ever applied for a visa before?. (In my case, yes, I was refused for submitting a bank statement of 27 days instead of 28days sooo PLS confirm very well ur bank statement is 28days on d minimum. If u dont understand hw to count it pls ask, dont be shy).

Have you answered all questions honestly?

My interview was about 40mins and I am damn serious (those who did deir interview at etibets place on thurs aug 2nd can bare me witness). Inshort mine was better, the two people who went in before me spent 1hr. I was wondering if maybe the interviewer wasnt satisfied or probably they had oratory problems cheesy but Nay, that wasnt d case.

******** I used standard and no piority or super P****

Pls I am not sharing this timeline to scare anybody pls. Its very unusual i dis interview for 40mins but who knws, it cud repeat itself for anybody. Just be prepared and answer honestly.

**** I forgot to add, I was also asked how much my accommodation will cost per month and how much it will cost per the period I will be there *****. I may av forgotten some questions but I think dis is what I left out. If at all I remember any, I will modify.

Thanks

Please how knows if UK embassy for tier4 visa requires IELTS as one of the documents to be submitted as the embassy.

Good day, I am not sure if u shd be asking dis question here or on the thread for tier 4 uk student visa (pls check the thread for tier4 student visa and ask all ur questions the people there will be willing to answer you) . To answer ur question, if u are applying for a tier4 student visa, u shd be given a CAS from ur school stating what documents u need to present along with your visa application. Check your CAS and see what it says about your English language assessment, some universities ask you to present either ur waec result or ielts before they give you an unconditional offer. But there is no crime checking back with your school to check if they already assessed u and there is no need for it or otherwise.

Pls haus, i need some clarification on this matter. The problem i am having now is this, on my birth certificate, my father ommited one of his names which happens to be his first name. Now on his bank statement, the first name appeared and i need to show r/ship ties. Pls can an affidavit be used to show both names belong to same person.

Eg his real name is Laxis Segun bass (which appears as this on the account statement)
But on my birth certificate, his name appears as Segun bass, the first name which happens to be laxis is not there.

Plss anyone, help.

Thank you. The money has not gone below the required amount. I was just worried because the money had been in the account for 40days now. So I can just print from the last 28days since i have the required amount still intact in the account?.

LaaJiblik:

If the Balance of money in the PERSONAL or PARENTS’ account has not gone below the required threshold, at any point in time within the last 28 days, that’s fine.
You can use a 1,000,000 day old account. Just be sure the amount has never gone below XYZ if you count 28 days downwards from the day you click “Submit” on your application form.

Pls haus i need ur advice, if a bank statement has already exceeded the stipulated time, i mean the latest due period of 31 days, any advice?. Can the bank statement be printed from the last date upward to 28days?.. or the 28days will have to be started all over again. (Money is still intact in the account).

I am sorry, I just login to my account. I have been away from NL for close to a year now. I am not in NC but the amount of money you will need in your statement of account is dependent on how much u have left to balance your tuition and your total cost of living in Newcastle for the programme duration.

Hope you are in new castle now
Please I like to know how much is expected of me in the statement of account...

It is actually an imagination of many people but not always the case. There are many guys who would dare approach more successful ladies. Now, the problem is, would the female not think the guy only wants her possessions? Men, the society needs to balance the scales. It would require a highly successful man many times to manage a successful lady and not be intimidated, or a guy that knows his guns... wink

grin grin grin..... its nt an imagination bro. Most Men are egoistic nd dey feel intimidated approaching successful women for their hand in marriage. Most especially, when she is way richer n succesful than he is. I went to pick up my visa today ...... I was denied visa. I checked the reason for refusal and it came from the disparity in the dates. I started counting from the time when the money entered into the account (27th july-23 aug). I paid for piority service and applied for my visa on the 25th of aug, I got a mail that it has been received on the 28th of aug. I didnt hear anything again and had to call on the 13th of sept. I also called again on the 20th and was told no decision yet, I was asked if I wanted to escalate which I accepted. I got an email yesterday (21/09/2017) dat decision had been made and I just picked it up some few hrs ago (22/09/2017) . The reason for refusal is solely my fault which I admit. The eco statement says I didnt hold the money for up to 28days, which means I shd have started counting from the 28th of july and not 27th when the money entered into the account.I hope this will help someone out there too wanting to apply for visa. Pls double check ur date n if u r not sure pls ask some one and be sure. Thanks
