No grant
The 12m is $45000Cad
Well, on the normal this amount it’s supposed to be okay.

If I have to break it down the explanation will be too long for me to type.

But see some factors you should look into as well are; VO’s concentrations are mostly on the sponsor. They want to see at least 1yr tuition and 1yr LE + flight and others. They also frown at emptying the sponsor’s account and then questions like if they have others to care for. But that can also be eliminated if they see a good money inflows (Salary or business) in the sponsor’s SOA.
Then on your own part, as an adult going for MSc and if you have study gap, they also expect that you have some funds too. And that will eliminate personal assets and financial status.

All I am trying to say is that, the money should be enough but those VO’s are something else. So if you can up the sponsor SOA, please do.
I wish you luck!

2. She obtained BSc in international relations
You have a BSc and you want to go for another BSc?
Please go and read up pages on this tread for all the answers you seek are here. Let me not start writing and start sounding like one guru.

Regarding using your Benin degree, my opinion is that I don’t think there is anything wrong with that because I have seen people who schooled in Ghana and Benin who got admission and visa.

I wish you luck.

Hi Nairaland family. Kudos to everyone on this trend, the gurus, the beneficiary of this trend and those coming behind like myself. I have read this tread tread for weeks and I have been richly equipped. However, I have a question to ask, I sincerely asked everyone to please contribute.

I have gotten an estimate of cost from my school.
Tuition and living expenses for one year is $34,300CAD

SO, I Have a sponsor, my mother, a business woman with CAC documents and others.
Her statement of account 9m
Myself I am working over the last 7months full time, and I have 3m in my account.

I want to ask everyone who has been in my shoes, is my financial outlook sufficient to merit a study permit. I'm going for msc program, 2 years.

The financial figure i have available to present is $45,000. Sponsor mum, no other dependent.

What do you guys think?
Since it’s an MSc, have you got grants? How much is it?
Please check and respond and I am sure you will get help in response from people here.

Please my wife is applying for a degree at Manitoba university and she don’t want to indicate she has schooled in Benin republic course we don’t know if they will deny her admission

They sent this to her mail

Please gurus what should we do, should we tell them she didn’t attend any post secondary institution

Or send them the details of the school in Benin republic
First question: when you say going for a degree, what do you mean? BSc, PGD, MSc etc?

2nd question: what certificate did she obtained from the school in Benin? BSc, HND, OND etc?

Kindly respond to this two questions and I am sure you will get help in response from people here.

This kind of reasons is becoming generic and common especially from Nrobi. Am still yet to understand how 5 to 6 applications will have same reasons of refusal similar to the reason you posted.
Of course the reasons are generic and some have already started thinking that most of the applications are not being handled by humans but computers (AI).
This is why sometimes I see no reason for requesting for GCMS notes. Don’t get me wrong pls.... getting your GCMS notes is good because in some few(maybe 1/20 or 1/30) cases, the notes has good explanations.
And that is why when I see a GCMS note, I can tell you all the refusal reasons and vise versa.

Thank you Sir, I had an upfront medical but they still requested for a new one which I did at IOM
Oh really! They requested for a new one? Does that mean the medical you did before had expired?
Was the medical you had before up to a year?
Finally, did you pay another money to IOM for another medical?

It will end in praises
Greetings to you boss @Frankrobbn1
My question to the enlightenment of many of us is
If I am done with a 1yr Program, then applied and got a 1yr PGWP, but during or before the end of the 1yr PGWP I got admitted into another 1yr program, 1. Will such a person still be eligible to apply for a another PGWP?
2. If yes, how many years PGWP will he or she gets?

Please experience minds should also contribute with answers.
Thanks

Hello Adetayoade1,

If your dad is more that capable of sponsoring you and your sibling, with sufficient funds to meet the requirements for the LE and tuition fees for both of you, then there is no problem. Also, in the case were the intends program of both of you is more than a year and can demonstrate he can meet up when due, then no problem. Another thing is that, his closing balance should be sufficient after the deduction of both tuition fees and LE.

In this case, to demonstrate his financial capability, he should endeavour to pay at least the first semester or full year's tuition fees and disburse the LE for you and your sibling into both personal account respectively (This is not compulsory and the funds can still be shown inside your dad's BS). Then, the remaining funds in your dad's account can be use to demonstrate his financial sufficiency.

Your mom could write a letter of support instead of co-sponsorship pledging her support and if possible, she can also make some financial commitment by transferring a said amount into both you and your sibling's account for miscellaneous expenses or as the case maybe. She can as well decide to only write the letter without commitment. Since she is also financially capable, let her include her BS and other financial documents to support that of your dad even if he his also financially capable.

This way, there is a demonstration that both of you are well-established in your home country and that the level of establishment of your family is very solid. Also, other investment, landed properties (evaluate it if possible), joint account etc should be included in additional to both you and your sibling's personal BS to show the paid in funds by your parents (if applicable). The next focus will be to draft a well written and convincing SOP likewise your dad with his LOS and your mum with her LOsupport.

The VOs that would handle the applications will definitely know that same account is been used to sponsor two people which won't pose any red flag since both of you are blood siblings. Since the application won't be a joint application, there is huge possibility that the application may be handled by different VOs. Though things can change depending on the circumstances.

If you decide to use your mum as your sponsor, she can sponsor you by including the landed property of her spouse (your dad).

This is my personal opinion/suggestion. You own your final decision.

All the best
Nice one boss... you see what I see.
I am always learning from the best. Kudos

Thank you very much you have explained it well, yes he is the first child
These are two different applications plus we are applying differently would they know we are using same statement ? Though they are very well funded
He is the first child and you are the 2nd or also one of the children.
Of course they have to be different applicants and different applications and possibly different schools too. Still daddy and mummy can sponsor both of us for studies abroad so long as they are capable and can show and prove their capabilities.
Why are you worried if they will know? Is there something you are hiding?
Two different people,
Two different application
Only a few documents will be the same since they are from same parents. And please don’t come back to ask which documents lol
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by Obehi44: 2:32pm On Mar 06, 2020
Adetayoade1:
Thank you very much both accounts are well funded just knowing if I can use my mum as my sponsor and still submit my dad properties because my mum doesn’t have any landed properties
Something I will like to know is, hope that your sibling is your direct brother or sister with the same parents and the same surename?

If the above is YES, then your case is that “our parents are sending us abroad for studies”
Therefore my suggestion will be, daddy is the main sponsor and mummy co- sponsor for both of you. I have said this before and I am saying it again, properties does not only limit to empty landed properties. It can be expensive cars, it can be houses(both living in and or rented) etc.

This means that same documents can be used for both of you as long as they are still together and have their marriage certificates. One or two family pictures too will help.

I wish you luck.

Hello,

I have been very paranoid and curious.

Since I have been unable to link my account, and I have been relying on email messenger from my email.

I got my medical request on Feb 18, did it on 28 Feb, got Bvl on 5 march and the trend here is that it usually takes 2 weeks after medicals before the Bvl to come.

I applied through paper and most applications here are online.

My question is that now that I have a BVL, how would I know my final decision since I can't link my account been unable to

Would CIC send me an e-mail for approval or what exactly because I haven't seen paper route stories here.

Please help educate me guys

Also what is letter of correspondence?
You have nothing to worry about. Besides you should have been able to link your account my now. There are little errors when linking account online and I guess you have been making those errors that is why you were unable to. Check this tread and you will find the steps on how to link your account.

Meanwhile, I have said congratulations and I expect that you start giving praises to God for doing it for you “as long as your BS is not fake”

The same way you got a biometric and medical request, that same way you will get your PPR.
Your application is settled already and it’s a good one in your favour unless the unthinkable happens.

Once again congratulations!

Good day house, pls a friend of mine received his bvl on the 17th of Feb since that time till now, nothing yet, so I advised him to mail him which he did and after few days he got response from them that his application is still on process, and he is really worried because after bvl notification ,most times refusal comes next.. Pls frnds what could be possibly be the problem here, how can he go about this,he applied through paper route, I will be glad to get directves on what he can so to know where he stands..
Kind regards.
Your best bet is to be patient and while at it (patience), be sure to get another admission letter if your program has already started or closed to start.
Another option is go for a medical if you have the ‘money’ and ‘time’ and upload it. This is to be done by faith.
So you have two options, pick one.
I wish you luck.

Your best bet is a PHD unless you intend not to declare your previous masters. And you have to be sure that they won’t find out. Remember CIC wants sincerity

It can happen though...CIC can be quite unpredictable. It’s a good thing he already ordered for the notes. It will give the underlying reason for the refusal. All we can do now is to wait.
Yes I am surprised, although the most experienced once here said it’s possible and that it has happened before.
In my own view I think he shot himself on the foot. May be the VO has a few doubts in his purpose of visit. I said this because after looking at his well completed documents, I was asking myself a few questions too.
-Someone who’s sponsor has 49m
-Someone who has paid his full tuition fees
-Someone who uploaded receipt or accommodation(which means s/he has even paid for house)
-Someone who has paid LE(I don’t know how that was paid though)
-Someone who is a director of a company(@ age 18)
- Someone with an upfront medical( but why didn’t s/he upload the medical when applying? But why didn’t IRCC or CIC see his medical on their medical system? Is that possible? )

COULD ALL OR SOME OF THESE BE THE RED FLAG? We don’t even understand this VO’s.

Well like @Mcobex just said that he knows a case or two like that and they got it on a 2nd attempt. Which also mean it could be a mistake.

This is just me thinking aloud....

Thank you so much for your time
First advise get your GCMS.
2nd don’t rush to reapply.(Speaking from experience)

Now to the issue at hand.
Honestly, in other to eliminate that insufficient funds, you will have to get money into your account somehow. Or if possible, let your sponsor pay in the LE into your account and both of you will explain it in your letters respectively. That will show some level of commitment from your sponsor and also increase the money in your account.

Just your siblings birthday certificates and your father’s land is not good enough. I will suggest you scan through this thread, it has been mentioned severally here “how to tackle home ties” even somewhere in my post.

I wish you luck.

Your documents looks good and enough. But for a purpose of visit refusal, it means there is no progression in the program you are going for, either academically or career wise.
It could also be a problem from your SOP or LOE as your case maybe.
Family ties is one refusal reason I don’t know why they just share it anyhow. But check your app well and see if you were able to tidy that end very well. Age and or study gap is something tied to both refusal reasons.

Paper route limits the documents you can submit. Paper route documents are precisely what is needed and required.
Online on the other hand gives you the room to included more documents that can best improve or explain your situation as regards your application.

Well if it’s your first application, it will be necessary that you mention it in your SOP. But if not, you should shift all those explanations to the LOE. Note: it won’t be enough that you only mention it, it’s also important that you state it’s importance, how valuable it is to you that it will also aid your coming back to Naija.
