It has been a long journey trying to get a study visa. After 5 refusal from Canada, we decided to calm down and later decided to go to UK instead. My wife actually loves Canada because her sister has been there.

We declared all refusal and stated the reasons.

I just want to say thank you to the brain behind Nairaland creation. It’s really helping.
Also let no one give up. We never did.

ask on behalf of a brother, after the primary applicant have gotten her visa, wanted to apply for dependat (husband and a daughter). Unfortunately, the husband passport is not ready yet and the course start date is 24th of May.
1. Is it possible to apply for the daughter alone since the father passport is not ready yet due to delay in the passport issuance
2. If yes. What are the document needed to be uploaded.
3. Can father apply as soon as the passport ready.

Currently classes will be online at least as far as I know. So the student don’t need to rush to the UK as long as other registrations can be done online too.
The rule states that, dependants(husband or and children) can apply to join anytime during the validity of the main applicant or student visa period.
In other words, there is no need to rush, let the daughter wait for the husband’s passport to be ready and the apply together so the visa officers won’t be worried about who will take care of the child. But if the wife who is the student is still around, then the child can apply and state that she will be traveling with the mother who is the student and yet to travel.

As someone who is going to study in the UK, I think this kind of questions you can research on your own on the internet. I am sure it will lead you to a page where you will see the requirements for POF.
Meanwhile, POF is only accepted from financial institutions where the funds will be readily accessible for you and they too can contact the bank without stress if need be.

I am a Nigerian currently residing in Cyprus. According to the UKVI requirements, residents of Cyprus are not required to undergo a TB test. However, due to the pandemic, the visa submission centre here is currently closed until further notice. That means I have to apply for my Tier 4 study visa from Nigeria. Do I still need to undergo the TB test as I'll be coming into Nigeria 1 month prior to my appointment date?

I am not sure about this, but I think it all depends on certain factors like: do you have a Cyprus passport? How long have you been there?
I also think it has to do with how long were you or will you be in Nigeria, before you submit your application. Because that’s what will determine if you would have lived with someone with TB in the last ————

Nevertheless, to be on a safe side, kindly take the TB test and have your certificate before you apply. Don’t give room for them to say you submitted an incorrect application.

It’s a normal thing. You can apply for visa along side with your dependants or apply for them after you have gotten your own visa either before you travel or while you are there. It’s all normal and okay

1) I just got the Tb test booked, although it is now for 15th of June, can I crassgate with my spouse who has already booked for 11th of May?

2) There is this thing that's making me worried, I once applied for Canadian student permit via an agency (EWC), they said it was compulsory to have travel history and they collected my passport to have it stamped (I was still very naive and they looked like they knew what they were doing), should I continue with this passport or just get a new one?

I am sure you know what is right to do and I saw your response that you are already doing that.

That's automatic passport seizure and 10 years ban.
I know of a very close friend who had a Mexican visa but stamped it as if he went there and came back. He later travelled to Italy with the ssem passport but when he applied to the UK after the a Italian trip, his passport and the wife's was confiscated and transferred to SFU.

Haaaa Mexico... that’s North America nah. UK people share data with America so that one is very easy to catch. People should not do such.

House please i need to know a few things when applying for the UK study visa:
1. Can a canada study visa refusal have any effect on a UK study visa application?
2. Do i declare a Canada study visa refusal? if YES,
if more than one refusal, do i declare only the date of the last refusal?
3. I am meant to believe those countries share datas and that biometrics last for 10years. Will i need to do another biometrics for the UK study visa?
4. If yes to number 3, Is biometrics payment separate aside visa fee?
5. Will there be space for me to upload documents myself or i will need a hard copy of all the documents? Though i have most as soft copies.

Also how long is the process after receiving Unconditional offer to get the CAS.

***As soon as your POF is 28 days, print your statements and the Bank stamp all the pages and signatures, send it to your University with your CAS form and necessary documents, If you have been communicating with the school agent in Nigeria, tell him to help you by pushing and making your CAS to come out quick, it could come out in 5 working days. The agents too understand the source of your funds. Some will start issuing CAS from June depends on your intake

because am planning to start the counting from Monday for 28 days so i can submit to the embassy immediately by 29 days so i can do walk-in application.

***Counting 28-29 backwards will start when you have received your CAS before you can apply for visa and without the CAS you can't start your Visa Application

Reason is that i only have access to the fund for a month.

*** This should not be, many still agreed to put the money in your account until when your Visa is out unlike before.

***Please be patient so that your Visa can come out successfully and don't spend a kobo out of the money.

But if I return the money back to the account, do I need to print the statement again? Or just continue with the visa application with the statement already approved by the school before giving CAS. Since there is still about 10 - 15 days for the 31 days rule before visa application.

If someone has been giving CAS and still have about 10 - 15 days left in the 31 days rule of the bank account statement for visa application, can the person still use that same bank account statement? Considering now that the money is no longer in the account.

Please anyone with experience or know anyone who scaled through with this kind of situation should please help respond.

Good day everyone, I have a few concern.
Admission to Coventry University, paid(4k) part of the tuition as requested, submitted bank statement for CAS, but its taking them almost forever to give CAS. I am getting worried. Is there someone here that is in Coventry or that is going there and has gotten CAS from them? Please what is the process or how did yours go or that of anyone you know?

To the best of my knowledge, you can't.
It's either at IOM Ikeja or IOM Abuja.

Both are the approved centers for medicals for the UK
