There is also a cic twitter handle and Canada has a twitter handle too. Let's boom them with messages. Who knows it may be that they are not aware, it may be that it's just wickedness by those in Kenya. Na cooperation rice take dey full pot. |

Teematu: Approval Alert! All I can say is Alhamdulillah. It can only be God.
Timeline; Online application: 18th August, 2019 Biometrics done: 20th August, 2019 Medical request: 2nd October, 2019 Medicals done: 10th October, 2019 Medicals passed: 15th October, 2019 Approval and BVL came together on 18th October
Documents; All IMM forms Sponsors documents; (SOA, company papers( 1 had no tax clearance so I didn't include tax clearance for all), letter of sponsorship( didn't include affidavit), landed property, picture to show relationship (husband's aunt, also my godmother), Mine; ( 6 months SOA, all academic credentials and transcripts (BSc industrial design and MBA), acceptance letter from Conestoga college, employment letter, 6 months payslips, birth certificate, international passport (old n new), Supporting documents; (marriage certificate, birth certificate of hubby and 2 kids, police clearance certificate, hubby consent letter,) Lots and lots of prayers and fasting
Story; Admission was gotten thru an agent, long story. We Nigerians just lyk easy way out. Anyways, it got to d point of paying deposit and d agent started saying she will confirm from d sch d acct no and get back to me. 3 days later, no response. I switched off my mumu button and followed d steps thru d sch website and paid thru flywire(d agent now refers their clients to me for assistance). There and then, we decided I was gonna apply for d visa myself. It was like all indices where against me. BSc industrial design with specialization in glass technology ( an unfamiliar course wt little or no avenue for progression) wt a 4.5 cgpa. Switch to MBA (uk sch, Malaysia campus, and finished wt a merit). Now applied for a pgd Global business management instead of a master's or PhD. My designation at work is Planning officer. I'm sure u now see how disjointed my history is. Mind u, I have a 6 yr gap btw finishing secondary sch(all A's) and d uni, (studied medicine for 5yrs but didn't finish so I didn't include it so I don't further complicate my issue). I knew I had alota work to do wt my SOP. It took me 2 weeks to finish writing it, wt input from my hubby and bro in-law who both love essay writing. I linked d glass tech wt business and my present work schedule. Explained how even though it's a pgd, it has courses wc where not present in d MBA. I took each of d courses and explained wat gap it's gonna fill and how it's important to d aim I hv of starting glass production from rice husk. (Ample raw material in nijja, new method wt plenty intricacies, etc). Wen I saw wat ppl upload, and how straight line their academic progressions where, and d rate of rejection, I almost gave up. Hubby kept asking me for plan B. But I kept hope alive and continued praying for d best, and d efforts I put in d whole process not to go to waste. U read everything irrespective of how lengthy or how far back it was written. D day medical request came, I called hubby 1st cause I could not open d mail immediately. He said, just pray and open it, d decision has been made irrespective of wen u open d mail. Lo and behold it was medicals, I was smiling all thru, my colleagues kept wondering why I was extra smiley (I always hv a smile on even wen angry). I went for medicals and BP was 160/110 @ 1st. Did some breathing exercises and calming techniques but it was still above d 140/80 recommend by IRCC. I became very worried wen I researched abt high BP in medicals and found mixed responses. I saw CIC guidelines for physicians and saw dt d physician shld write a B on d form if any high BP found. This got me all worked up again and dt weekend became extra long but alas, it all worked out well. In essence, all I'm trying to show is that we shld just do our best and leave no stone unturned wen applying. Try to answer all d rejection reasons given by VO as much as u can. I was told my best bet was to omit my MBA but even if I do, my undergraduate degree can get me a master's, and then I wouldn't hv been able to show travel history for study purpose and not violating immigration laws. Be as truthful as possible. No two applications and d same especially since there r different VOs. Above all, everything is ultimately in God's hands. It shall end in praise Congratulations..... |

MissMichelleA: Hi. Is a consent letter different from the sponsorship letter? If so what does the format look like? Yes they are different. I guess someone may also want to ask if a leave letter is different from a reference letter. Anyway, I saw you have already started your research about it, nice one. According to you, google says it's meant for minor. But to my own understanding, as long as you are not sponsoring yourself, it can be said that you are a minor. Therefore, there is need for a consent letter. There is no special format for it, it's just a letter that the person is aware of your studies to so so and so and he or she is giving his consent bla bla bla... Note: it must be signed. It should also be sealed or and notarised. You may also choose not to add it. I am sure many would have gotten their visas without A or B or C documents. |

lynniebabes: My medical just changed to pass. I submitted 11th of October. eligibility and background check started running concurrently. Same thing happened with my previous application. Same time frame and I was refused three weeks later. Anyone with such experience? The outcome or and time frame on your first app may not be the same. Normally medical being passed use to be like 80-90% good to go. But like you already know, things have changed and you too can testify. Therefore, I can only advice you that you pray and hope that the changes you made and refusal response you gave to this your new application turns out good to favour you for approval. Docs Dad is my sponsor Statement of #100 million savings Statement 20m company account Paid 1st semester fees 10k cad He transfer 2.5m to my account as LV Company CAC, Memorandum He as two company, my name is not part of the director in the first company but my is name part of the director in the second one, I submitted both And all necessary document e.g passport page, affidavit, sponsorship letter Sop, programming language certificate, mobile app cert, networking cert, I work in my fathers company, 6 month contract approval letter from a company to run a maintenance check on there system. 7 landed document (dad) My own land document
But I think my SOP is not convincing enough, story plenty, I did not give anyone to proofread. I already order for my GCMS
Guru in the house pls help, what and what you think I should add. If this is your first application then this missing LOE is not necessary. But I can't see a 'consent letter' from your sponsor, a leave letter that proves your job is secured when you return. Aside that, to ans your question on what and what you should add? I will rather say you reduce or remove some things because I can imagine how bulky your application will be with a 7 landed documents. It is true that no two applications are same, and that all app are unique in their own way to the eyes of the VO. But I think some people tends to upload documents that are not required or relevant to a visa application. Yes, some things you mention in your letter as what you have or have obtained should be backed up with documents, but certainly not all. Because if that happens, many people who have gotten their visa would not have gotten it. Sometimes visa officers likes it simple. But honestly no one knows what works. No set standards. Anyway, this is just my opinion as regards your post base on my little experience. Others can contribute and then you should follow your mind but most importantly pray for Grace. This visa thing Na just Grace. |

lordgemini: Good morning everyone , I’ve been following this thread for a while and I’ve learned a lot on how I could apply for TRV by myself. I had applied for visa back in 2015 and 2016 for an undergraduate degree with the help of agent which both was denied and reason for denial was case of insufficient funds as stated by the agent. I enrolled into a university here in Nigeria after I got denied the second time in 2016 and now I’m resuming my finals next month and I’ll love to reapply by myself. The issue I’m having now is I’m unsure if the previous applications would affect my chances of getting approved as I have zero knowledge of the informations or institutions the agent used in submitting the applications back then. I wrote my WAEC in 2011 and I’m 26years old now. My questions are; 1.) Can I apply for visa using my WAEC for an application for undergraduate degree or I should wait and apply for Masters or PG degree after I’m done with my bachelors. 2.) I’ll like to know if the informations provided in previous applications won’t be affecting any recent one I’ll submit because I don’t know the details used in the previous applications which might lead to conflicts in the information I may provide in the recent application . I hope I can get answers to my question and I’ll be taking any bashing as well. Also, I don’t mind referrals to previous threads that might provide answers to my questions. If anyone has experienced anything like my case before please I’d love to hear from them and how they were able to provide solutions to their problems. Hope to get a reply soon. Thanks 1. At age 26, well, that age is not too good and not too bad to apply for an undergraduate degree. But since you are on the verge of getting your BSc, it will by far favour you to wait and apply for a masters or PGD/C. But in the main time while you are waiting, start putting together information and documents you may need to apply. 2. Since your name is already in the Canadian immigration system, it will be advisable that you get that agent to give you the information to your cic account. I am sure that is the same place they will link any other application that comes with your name and passport number as regards information giving previously. I hope others can help you more on this. |

Yes its now boring and that is because of the refusal rate. Many people who are here didn't even write about their refusal, if not it would have been worse. Like the other monika said, let them give us conditions and requirements no matter how hard or strict. If you meet the conditions, then you can be giving. They are the reason why people lie in their applications and documents. Make it simple but strict and hard. Eg, Pay the whole tuition fee if the program is less than maybe 2yrs. Pay 50% of the entire tuition fee if the program is more than 2yrs. Pay $10k LE into a Canadian bank account. Pay visa fee. ALL NONE REFUNDABLE Meet other requirements (Home ties depending on the applicant's age or marital status). Then you are good to go. They should stop all these "personal assets and financial status" "Travel history" "Employment situation or employment status" "Purpose of visit" etc. And inform countries when they have reached their limit for a particular period.
I am sure many will meet it and many may not. |

Sometimes they respond earlier, sometimes it takes month. But this also depends on the biometric letter you got. Because I am thinking how come they are confirming your biometrics after one month. Maybe you have to check the letter again and be sure what it says. Is it confirming the period your biometric will be valid for? |

Bertram87: Hello Obehi44,
From your response, I noticed you have applied for the 3rd time and got delayed again right? It really hurts me getting to know this, and I know it can only get better for you, because you are a strong lady.
Please what was your refusal reason/s this time? Did you change your school and course as you said? What can you say actually went wrong again? I am asking you these questions because you have had a bunch of experiences regarding your application, and a lot of people will definitely learn from you. Yes got refused 3rd time with this same generic reasons for late August - September. First time personal assets and finance status. : increased money in account and added property. 2nd time Purpose of visit : wrote a 'banging SOP 2pages and LOE 3pages with the help of some grate men here. And it took about 3weeks of consistent writing, adding and subtracting. As nothing to say again or they didn't even check the applications for this Sept at all, they now start dashing these three reasons. Travel history: has nothing to do with a student besides my passport is not even empty. Ties: LOL... I am married have a 2yrs old child, personal landed property, family landed properties..... I am not going with my child or spouse. Make I tell dem say Na my papa get National Stadium? Lol Employment: Good government job with good pay, leave letter, reference letter from boss, job waiting for me, etc. Sept 3rd - Sept 18th. If you ask me what happened I will say nothing happened that they didn't even check the app. Anyway, I de vex and they will meet me in Court. |
