Whoever that was the goalkeeper that won National league should be in the team. This is how you identify talents. Or is it because these ones are playing ('benching')abroad?
Okoye (who is German and was introduced to super Eagles by German coach, Rohr) and he has not made appearance for his club this season? Uzoho in Cyprus?
Okoye is a good GK. I commend him for his patriotism having played all his life in Germany and deciding to pledge his allegiance to Nigeria without anybody coming to convince him to do so! He played as 1st choice in Holland before making a wrong move to England which he is trying to recover from. Let's keep the faith in our young keepers. At least until we identify superior options.

I really wish we still had Carl Ikeme. He was superb but unfortunately cancer struck. Thank God he is still alive today.

I'm not holding brief for the NFF but they have a technical department and I'm sure they have analyzed all the goalkeepers in the domestic league and provided all the needed info to the coaching crew to make an informed decision on the best keepers for the team.

Don't get me wrong. For a long time I was a fan of Ayenugba, Vanzekim and more recently Ezenwa so I agree we may have some good keepers in the League. However I believe the technical crew has assessed their level and made their recommendations.

It's not about economic might. But comparative advantage.

Nigeria has a large pool of quality footballers. That Uzoho should not in that squad.
Large pool of quality players? Says who?

Where is the large pool? Domestic or Foreign?

Where are the outstanding talents that we have in abundance except in attack?

Till now do we have a quality 10? Iwobi is doing a decent job there.... Who is the alternative? Aribo?

Ok we have good DMs Onyeka and Ndidi.

Defence.... We have good defenders but the defence needs work. We still ship in too many goals.

We don't need to talk about the GKs.... We have a problem there but they are young good keepers and the best we have so we need to stick with them.

It is only in attack we are stacked with talent.

That's why Peseiro is playing 442 or 424 which is the best formation suited to our current strengths.

Capisce?

Well victor boniface has come to stay in that team strengthening our attack
but i dare say i cannot see any impressive technical input Paseiro has brought to this team walahi, he's just lucky with the crop of players available now
If you cannot see the change in our passing, our pressing and our deliberate attempt to build from the back and retain possession and dominate teams since Peseiro came in then you obviously have zero intelligence.

I like how you said it bluntly!

Improve in your clubs so as to be selected in the national team.
Iheanacho was once dumped when he wasn't doing well... but after Leicester game against Manchester United, where he played very well... he was called back to national team.

There are players being invited to Super Eagles make me believe that maybe the coach or some highranking NFF staff do collect bribes to feature these players. If you're not good to be in the first team or a regular sub in your club, you have no business playing for national team, rather find a new club that will give you regular playing times so as to show what you've got.
Super Eagles should not be used for trials
Plenty English. We all watch club football week in week out. Mention one deserving GK better than the ones in the team that have not been invited to the national team.

Name the better alternative that has been left out.

Remember that Nigeria has been crying for a replacement for Okocha since his retirement. Why have we not yet replaced him if it was so easy?

-2 friendlies.
-3 needless freekicks conceded, 3 goals scored.
-Uzoho was just too poor.

Wonder why a country of over 200m can't produce a good Goalkeeper, when some smaller countries can easily produce 3good goalkeepers.
China has a population of 1.4 billion.

With all their economic might, why can't they produce a quality football team?

Both are sitting on the bench in their various clubs. We need a good consistent goalkeeper we can rely on

interesting stage of the game.

11 vs 10.

3-2.

What does Peseiro do?

Bring on some of the First team players to stabilise the game?

Again our Defence has let the team down. Our weakness in defending set pieces just like against Saudi has been exposed.

Plenty English.

These goalkeepers are the best currently as decided by the coaching crew. If they get better alternatives they will replace them.

Gift Orban is a talented striker same as Paul Onuachu but right now we have Osimhen and Boniface in better form as well as Moffi so for now they will have to wait for their chance.

Good. But let him find a good goalkeeper who's ready to switch nationality like Germany U-21 goalkeeper or Crystal Palace reserve goalkeeper. We are not going to win anything with Uzoho and Maduka Okoye
I've not heard much about the crystal palace reserve GK Goodman other than he is just 18 and has been invited to play for the flying Eagles but the Germany U21 keeper Noah Atubolu who currently plays for Freiburg has been shipping in goals by the boatload this season

Both Uzoho and Okoye are very good goalkeepers albeit low on confidence. I'm sure you remember Uzoho's performance against Manchester United.

That said, I'm sure the technical crew is working on improving performances from the GK department.

I’m not impressed with his formation that’s still what I believe will cost us in the Afcon
The defense is bad he need to play a formation of 2 dm to cover up the defense and Keeper error 4231 or 4213 will be good and will take the se far
Nigeria has traditionally done well over the years playing 4-4-2.

Peseiro has been doing this job for a long time and is aware of the need for formational changes where necessary. But firstly, lets get the boys comfortable in the primary formation and that's what is happening ATM. The guys are now scoring for fun. Do you not remember how boring SE games used to be before Peseiro?

This is what friendlies are for.

Between now and the AFCON he needs to work on the defence and instill confidence in the goalkeepers.

fun fact:

Jordan T [The surname dey too long to spell] can fill in at LB if the coach decides to sub off Bruno Onyedika.

Once again Kudos to Peseiro for calmly going about builiding a SE with a clear playing style, with depth on the bench, not afraid to play from the back and retain possession and eager to play attacking football. This in spite of being owed by the NFF for months and renewing his contract on lower salary terms.

Kano has land... Has lots of rivers that can be dammed

Kano can bring out 200,000 hectares without stress ... That's over 200 hectares per couple

800 million used can provide.... 400 million for tractors and 400 million for seeds... Get another 600 million for fertilizers

200 hectares at worse can yield 3 tons per hectares minimum if good seeds are used

That's 600 tons per person say worse still 500 tons... That's 5000 bags of corn... Say each bag is sold for 45,000 ... That's

That's 22 million per head they can be settled for life

No let's waste it on weeding give them bed to fvck and make babies
Nice idea but a little short on facts. A simple Google search would show you that the entire landmass of Kano state is about 20,000. sq kilometres or more importantly 50,000 hectares (both built up and uninhabited areas).

So a more realistic estimate would have been 10k hectares for your scheme. That divided across 1800 couples will give you roughly 8ha/couple.

Also your budget of 400 million for tractors seems a little bit unrealistic unless the tractors will be kept in hubs and hired when needed by the farmers.

Also your estimate did not make provision for other running costs in cultivation apart from the seedlings.

But that's neither here nor there. The overall idea is a good one but I doubt if the government will take up such laudable initiatives.

We have just not been clinical in front of goal. Look at the stats. Nigeria has dominated possession, created more chances and faced less shots on goals. No yellow cards too. I don't just speak with emotions. My opinions are backed up by game stats.

This is what friendlies are for. They will learn from the mistakes and grow from the experience.

I honestly didn't expect SE to dominate the game to this extent. Kudos to Saudi for not giving up till the end
