I thought Lagos is a no man’s land? Why are you now complaining about the market been shutdown? The owner of the market can shut it down anytime they like and if you don’t like it then move to your own market in the east.

Still more empty rhetoric. Stop being an online agbero. Not everything is about east and west.

The topic of discussion is quite clear. What are the remarkable changes now that the market has been reopened?

Settlement from who? You think Lagos is onitsha and Aba that is caused with dirtiness without proper plan?

Talk is Cheap.

I dare you to go to Ladipo Market tomorrow and post a picture of the tremendous change that has occurred that made them reopen the market.

Not every coach is a title winning coach. If your NFF could afford Guardiola I would have advised they go for him but for now Peseiro has qualified top of his group so what's your beef with his past?

It's because football is not their forth rather productions which is given them a comparative advantage.

I'm sure that at least 10% of that 1.4bn are football lovers.

You remember when the Chinese government invested so much in their League to attract world stars? I'm sure you're also aware of the strength of the Chinese women's football team.

Why did it not translate to success for their men's football team?

This is what Lagos should replicate on all the BRT buses to ensure low bus transport fares across the state. But will they? The other time we heard that they acquired some audio electric buses which since the announcement has yet to be seen on the streets.

Enyinmba goalkeeper is better than Uzoho

That Atubolu has kept couple of clean sheets playing in top 5 euro league.

Abeg he will be miles better than Uzoho.

Let Uzoho leave Cyprus and move to a top 10 Europe league.

He is still young for a goalkeeper maybe he will become better but not now.

I don't dispute that Uzoho has made one too many mistakes in goal for Nigeria but you have to accept that until proven otherwise. He is the best of a bad bunch. I agree with you though that we should test our other GKs in upcoming friendlies but also you have to recognise that we don't have much time before the AFCON so whoever will be the alternative has to be clearly an upgrade and not just hit and hope.

More important to me is that the NFF should be busting a gut to convince Olise and Noni Madueke to pledge their allegiance to Nigeria ahead of AFCON to boost our midfield options.

As for the defence, apart from removing Tyrone and retaining Bright Osayi, there's not much more we can do to upgrade the defence apart from coaching.

All said and done, I think we have the foundation of a very good team but this team will need time and some extra pieces which may not be available before AFCON.

Nigerians would be best served not expecting too much from this team right now. A more realistic target will be the 2026 world cup.

He has been invited b4

There is another guy in Bundesliga

Noah atubolu . German born - a first team starter for club Freiburg FC

They should go and Beg that guy

Noah atubolu just became a first team player this season for Freiburg and he has shipped in 13 goals already in just 7 games. He is not better than what we already have. If you've watched his games, you would know that he too is error prone and concedes soft, cheap goals.

Uzoho is a Reserve Goal Keeper in Cyprus.

No sentiments abeg

But Adeleye is in the squad already and of the 3 GKs assessed in training the coaches decided to start Uzoho.....

Thise ones have good prospects in the countries they chose
Sorry to say this, Maduka Okoye has no future at all in the German national team as a goalkeeper.
Do you know.how many world class goalkeepers Germany have, and yet they don't make it to.the national team?
Do you know.how.many goalkeepers Neuer blocked off, and are only known in their clubs as German goalkeepers (regualr starters)?
Now you talk of Okoye who is warming bench in his club

Maybe Nigerians don't know how big a country they are. Okoye was able to move to Rotterdam after being featured in the Nigerian team. Featuring in Nigrian team adds marketing value to any player

That's neither here nor there. The question is how many of them who have dual nationality easily commit to playing for the SE? It's only those who grew up here and went to play abroad that easily answer national call up.

I'm more interested in the options you provide

What did I just read?
Someone who is 22 years and debuted for Nigeria at the age 18 (in 2019) has played all his life in Germany? grin grin
Please which life?
His career was just starting, and Nigeria is a stepping stone. He wouldn't make it to the German national team. Let us stop all these please. He needs Nigeria to boost his.career. He will be seen at the international stage (through World Cup etc.) The fact is he didn't make use of the opportunity to shine, because that will what will attract bigger clubs. Now he's in a club and has not made any appearance this season, yet we are expecting Super Eagles' matches to be the place to train. He has no business in the team. We better use regular club starters (home or abroad) than bench warmers on our goalpost.

BTW, we may not know his connection with Rohr, both are Germans and Rohr brought him in. His mother's name is not on his page.

How many Nigerian players who grew up abroad are willing to switch allegiance to SE so easily?

Eberechi Eze? Bukayo Saka? David Alaba? Akanji? Lesley Ugochukwu?

I'm still asking name the quality GK alternatives that should be in the team that have not been invited?

Your question is not valid.
Compare Nigeria with some other African countries of same football pedigree, like Cameroon, Ghana, Cote d’Ivoire, Egypt...who have good Goalkeepers.

Of the 4 teams you mentioned which of them did not go through the rebuilding stage which we are currently undergoing? Ghana? Ivory coast? Egypt? Cameroon?

I get you.
Having contacts with some Super Eagles players revealed some sh*tty things that go on there.
Simply put... 'money and connections', technicality comes up when we watch them. Unfortunately even if they analyse, which I doubt, their palms need to be greased before you are featured. Unless the player (this time goalkeeper) makes it to a top club abroad, there will be no hesitancy to feature such a player

Without doubt there is certainly the Nigerian factor (corruption) in every public establishment.

We can only hope for the best given these constraints which have always been there even on the occasions when we won the Nations cup.

Whoever that was the goalkeeper that won National league should be in the team. This is how you identify talents. Or is it because these ones are playing ('benching')abroad?
Okoye (who is German and was introduced to super Eagles by German coach, Rohr) and he has not made appearance for his club this season? Uzoho in Cyprus?

Okoye is a good GK. I commend him for his patriotism having played all his life in Germany and deciding to pledge his allegiance to Nigeria without anybody coming to convince him to do so! He played as 1st choice in Holland before making a wrong move to England which he is trying to recover from. Let's keep the faith in our young keepers. At least until we identify superior options.

I really wish we still had Carl Ikeme. He was superb but unfortunately cancer struck. Thank God he is still alive today.

I'm not holding brief for the NFF but they have a technical department and I'm sure they have analyzed all the goalkeepers in the domestic league and provided all the needed info to the coaching crew to make an informed decision on the best keepers for the team.

Don't get me wrong. For a long time I was a fan of Ayenugba, Vanzekim and more recently Ezenwa so I agree we may have some good keepers in the League. However I believe the technical crew has assessed their level and made their recommendations.

It's not about economic might. But comparative advantage.

Nigeria has a large pool of quality footballers. That Uzoho should not in that squad.

Large pool of quality players? Says who?

Where is the large pool? Domestic or Foreign?

Where are the outstanding talents that we have in abundance except in attack?

Till now do we have a quality 10? Iwobi is doing a decent job there.... Who is the alternative? Aribo?

Ok we have good DMs Onyeka and Ndidi.

Defence.... We have good defenders but the defence needs work. We still ship in too many goals.

We don't need to talk about the GKs.... We have a problem there but they are young good keepers and the best we have so we need to stick with them.

It is only in attack we are stacked with talent.

That's why Peseiro is playing 442 or 424 which is the best formation suited to our current strengths.

Capisce?

If you cannot see the change in our passing, our pressing and our deliberate attempt to build from the back and retain possession and dominate teams since Peseiro came in then you obviously have zero intelligence.

I like how you said it bluntly!

Improve in your clubs so as to be selected in the national team.
Iheanacho was once dumped when he wasn't doing well... but after Leicester game against Manchester United, where he played very well... he was called back to national team.

There are players being invited to Super Eagles make me believe that maybe the coach or some highranking NFF staff do collect bribes to feature these players. If you're not good to be in the first team or a regular sub in your club, you have no business playing for national team, rather find a new club that will give you regular playing times so as to show what you've got.
Super Eagles should not be used for trials

Plenty English. We all watch club football week in week out. Mention one deserving GK better than the ones in the team that have not been invited to the national team.

-3 needless freekicks conceded, 3 goals scored.
-Uzoho was just too poor.

Wonder why a country of over 200m can't produce a good Goalkeeper, when some smaller countries can easily produce 3good goalkeepers.

China has a population of 1.4 billion.

With all their economic might, why can't they produce a quality football team?
