plaindealer: Not the ones on NL...Lol, go to culture section and see where one is from. Sorry bro, I still need an answer. Why is SW regressing? |
plaindealer: According to you...SE guys are proud of their states and will claim no other state unlike you guys that are all from Lagos State. |
plaindealer: The SW is regressing, but Lagos collects more than the entire SE x 4 and even Ogun collects more than the whole of SE combined...Yes SW is regressing as shown by this new figures? What will you call it? Progressing when the lowly Ebonyi overtook Oyo, oh great Oyo? |
plaindealer: We are on the same page, you are all from SS and never from SE hence the whole attache thing by you all. You know your SE villages can not compete with the SW so you endlessly borrow SS to run your mouth with when in fact even SS is still decades away from civilization.Who doesn't know that One_Naira is from Asaba? Anyway, it pains you guys badly when SS guys thrash your pride. Something you think only the SE do. Guy times are changing, you've got to face reality! You guys are a hated bunch in Southern Nigeria. |
Hopefully, we will not hear about IGR again after Ebonyi overtook Oyo. The question is, is the SW regressing? They used to have a higher IGR. |
KATZ, Its like these folks are out of guns. !! They cant hold the lines anymore as they just keep regurgitating & exhuming baseless & meaningless rejoinders. ! ...I gatta hit the bed. ODARO OO.
Don't seek emotional support. Just go to bed and sleep. |
May I ask: Who are those that have been at the forefront of a SNC? ....This is my last post on you. I see are gettin' seriously knocked down.
Yorubas were, they championed it when Abiola was not allowed to assume office. What is happening now? How will you describe the current attitude of Yorubas to the SNC they introduced to us? |
Katsumoto: Because 6 months isn't enough to grab resources and there was little revenue from oil. But in 6 months, you did take advantage of what was available. You just validated my demand you withdraw your uninformed analogy. Yes 6 months is not enough but Katsumoto knew what would have happened had the Igbo remained in power. We are not resource grabbers. If Civil service was merged by Decree 34, it is unfortunate, but it still does not equate to resource grabbing because it only opened up a nationwide talent competition of who gets what. Like I said, it was unfortunate. |
NigerDeltans want their resources back or they are out. If you think you are not a parasite, help them achieve it. No more spinning, no more beating about the bush. |
Katsumoto: The problem with you is that you try to be smart thinking that others are foolish. Or you are genuinely bereft of a thinking faculty. Now it is a case of 'If'? LMAO! The point remains we did not grab the resources of the nation to use as we wished. It did not happen. |
I said it before, 1966 coup is the comfort zone of some people. It has been over debated, torn into pieces and every molecule in it analyzed yet some people don't seem satisfied with it. They still want the electrons, proton, neutron etc analyzed as well. SMH! |
Katsumoto: False to you. My point stands. And it remains vindicated by the actions of July 1966.No it is not vindicated because the analogy is wrong. Igbos did not appropriate the resources of the three regions for their own control. Northerners did and that's the pain of NigerDelta people. |
Katsumoto: That's not a proper analogy. So can you withdraw your analogy and accept that it is false and uninformed? |
katsumoto thinks he is clever. If you like, revert to listing who staged the coup. The fact remains the Igbo did not take the 'candles', rather the North did. |
So when Ironsi assumed power, are you saying the various cocoa institutions, plantations, oil palm, etc were not hijacked by the government? OH MINE MINE, This Bro is making me LMAO.
Prove me wrong, bro. |
Katsumoto: ReallyIs problem of Nigeria not resource control? Why do NigerDeltans want to leave? You claimed the Igbo took the 'candles' whereas it was a lie. The North kept increasing the Federal allocation and that is 'taking the candles' because the resources are at their mercy. |
This is arguably a RIDICULOUS claim & a BLATANT lie. ! So if KATZ candles were to be the forms of Federalism that had prevailed, so who were the Northerners that truncated their life spans?... Were they from planet Mars? .....PLS Lets be as Straight as they come here.
Merging civil service and so on does not equate to claiming the resources of the nation by one region when in control of the government. That, to me, is 'taking the candles' that belonged to the nation. |
PLS answer wisely : -Revenue formula or not, Wouldnt there be a high margin of possibility of the federalism that had existed to be maintained till present had Ibos not drew the first blood?
Don't try to be clever. The fact is that the Igbo did not take the '9 candles' as claimed by Katsumoto, rather it was the North that took the candles. |
Katsumoto: Reply to what? Who changed the revenue formula? But I don't know that's why I asked. |
Katsumoto, I am still waiting for your reply. |
Katsumoto: The formula has been changed a few times. The better question is who vested all revenue in the FG and the FG to distribute to states and LG.I think both are important. Who gave more chunk of the revenue to the Federal and who allowed the Federal to redistribute the remaining income to the states and LG. |
Katsumoto: That's not a proper analogy.Pardon my ignorance but who actually changed the revenue sharing formula? I think that is what i will relate to taking all 9 candles for himself. |
This shouldn't turn to 1966 coup and counter coup discussion that is a comfort zone for some people. The fact remains, some people are unhappy with the union and want out. So how do we go forward? |
atlwireles: Regionalism and fiscal federalism will work just fine. It worked from 1952-1966. Everyone says those were the best days. Then let's go back there.Call it regionalism, call it confederation. The closest acceptable option for us is the ability to control our own resources, our own fiscal and monetary policies and our own foreign affairs. Any name is acceptable be it dissolution. |
The funny thing about this disintegration of Nigeria is that among the 3 regions in the South, SE is the most disadvantaged, yet we are not scared of disintegration and are ready to take our own destiny in our own hands. We believe in our ability. You don't make progress without some suffering. It's better for us to suffer to survive than to enjoy to die. |
shymexx:Now, I'm enjoying your posts... |
shymexx: I'm going to be objective in this post.Kudos for your honesty. I have never viewed it from the angle of a potential civil war in the SW. I have always viewed it from the angle of economic uncertainty. Like you said, that's not enough reason to remain in Nigeria. Nigeria is not working and we try to progress being a very inhumane and heartless society because love and oneness is not there. Civil war fought in years back when Yoruba groups were still very much independent of each other is not likely to happen again when the groups are very much mixed now and see themselves as one. |
Nah! Football is unique and yellow card is one of its uniqueness. |
We lost because we were naive!!! and inexperience. A more experience team would have seen out the last 2 minutes but when you have Eguavon having a brain fade moment trying to dribble at the edge of the 18 box and also making a challenge when he didnt need to
We could have been 2 or 3 goals up had Amokachi and Amunike remained in the field. Italy were completely lost in the that game before the two got injured. |
Theben: South Africa and Ethiopia are CHAN favourites. Naija and our west African brothers are just there to make up numbers.Don't forget that a mostly home based eagles played a 1-1 draw with Catalonia. |
Awoniyi: A great finisher. I suspect he might make it to the world cup. We've not had a player who could score goals without many touches. Iheanacho? Not really sure of that guy. I still have my concerns. I hope he works harder defensively. Yahaya: The best player in the U17 squad. I'm surprised Keshi didn't give him a chance now. Nwakali: Second best player in the squad. Deserves a chance. Isaac: I didn't watch much of him. So I can't evaluate him. Alampasu: Deserves the call up. |
Popowaa: I deserve a virgin cos i am a virginTo marry a virgin is a punishment already and for a virgin to marry a virgin, kai, this is like two blind men walking down the street. Both of you will remain naive even after years of marriage. Two mumus under the same roof. ![]() |
