All those articles were talking about brain development and maturity of an individual.

You, unknowingly, acknowledged you had sex before the known time a brain is fully matured and developed to make rational independent decisions and topped it off by questioning your current state of frontal lobe development.
So it means that you had sex when you were not yet matured enough to make independent decisions on your own, so your ex-husband is guilty of what you call others.
Secondly, you are not even matured enough to continue having sex until your brain is fully developed. So cease having sex immediately.
