Shortly after Senator Iyabo’s letter to her dad went viral, exposing the latter’s political gimmicks and ‘irresponsible’ fatherhood, rumours again hit the internet that the purported letter was not from Iyabo Obasanjo, but merely written to blackmail Chief Obasanjo over his last letter to Jonathan.

However, in her reaction to the rumour that disputed her authorship of the highly controversial letter, Senator Iyabo had yesterday gave further reasons why she gave up on her father, claiming that she was the writer of the said letter.

Recall that when Obasanjo was approached yesterday to confirm the source of the letter, he allegedly insulted the reporter, asserting that his daughter had no knowledge about the letter. This was after another poorly written letter resurfaced on the internet, purportedly written by Iyabo. Iyabo in the letter denied having knowledge of the controversial letter.

However, in her reaction, Iyabo flayed the calculated attempt by some media organizations to disassociate her from the letter, saying that she cannot retract the letter as well as the position she had taken regarding her father.

Faulting the social media for syndicating unconfirmed stories, Iyabo told Vanguard thus, “No, no, no, that is not true. How can you live by social media? That is part of the problem with Nigeria; people want to be flying rumours. I have not told anybody o! It is early morning here and I just woke up and if I were you I would just ignore them,” She said.

“People are calling me and telling me that they called Baba, but if I say I am not talking to someone (her father), how can you say you called the person? Will the person tell you what is on my mind?” she asked.

She said her present strained relationship with her father resulted from her recent discovery that her father will never change from manipulating people.

“The whole of last year, I didn’t speak to him and I just started speaking to him recently, and the last time, he was trying to manipulate me to say this, say that. I can’t be saying no when you say no.

“The last time I spoke to him was three days ago and I decided that I was not going to speak to him again after that. That was the communication through which I realized that this man would never change from manipulations for himself.”

Dismissing her unsolicited canvassers on social media, she said, “I was surprised that they would say that they called Baba, and I said to myself, are these people mad? How can you call the person that I said I am not talking to, to ask him whether I wrote a letter or not and he is going to speak for me?

“Nobody can say that I told him that I didn’t write it. I am not a liar. I will not back away from what I wrote and there is nothing that is there that is a lie. In the last four years how many of them have spoken to me? They are all mad people,” she said.

Iyabo Obasanjo made history in Nigeria by becoming the first Nigerian to expose a family member for being responsible for the problems plaguing this country.
I think this lady deserves an award for being honest and brave.

Something tells me that all these lies from Sanusi, Obasanjo and Tambuwal throwing tantrum has to do with this Confab not 2015.
The timing shows it is for Confab. Obasanjo writing letter and coping to Northern Ex-Presidents, Buhari meeting Obasanjo, and Obasanjo working covertly for the APC.

They are fighting their last battle, forcing their people from the North to decamp in order to get enough legislators to initiate impeachment of the President before the Confab will start. This obviously won't work!
The two regions that are perpetual parasites to this Country working hand in hand to ensure that the status quo remains.

Now compare with with the most recent Premium Times headline "Iyabo Obasanjo keeps mum on controversial letter to father". So what is the difference between "keeps mum" and "snub". And this was the reason OAM4J was threatening to unleash mayhem?

My suggestion is this, if there's a way to find out if one had an abortion, do it.

If not, accuse her of killing a child you wanted to father and threaten to end the relationship if she isn't ready to tell you the truth.
If she insists she didn't, which of course she will do, actually end the relationship but give her the room for acceptance only if she confesses to killing the baby. Leave her with her conscience.
