I've never enjoyed the Eagles play since year 2000 until Keshi came in. Fact! Re-watch Nigeria vs Mali, pure classic;I've never seen Nigeria play so beautifully like that, ever! ... and home based players played in that match too. |
Thank you the Big Boss, Keshi. Oliseh is a clown, a very poor clown for that matter! Who did Keshi leave out for the Confed Cup? He should name names so that we'll be able to weigh in on his judgment. Instead of using a blanket term, foreign based, he should name those we should invite! |
Super Eagles coach,Stephen Keshi, has lambasted former team-mate Sunday Oliseh, following his criticisms over the homebased players, that he took to the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup. Oliseh in his punditry role with Supersports, criticised the level of performance by the local based players,Keshi took to the tournament, adding that they did not have what it takes to compete with the best players in the world. But Keshi who led the homebased players to victory on Saturday,in the first leg of the CHAN qualifiers against Ivory Coast, said that he was disappointed over Oliseh’s comments. ”It is a shame that Sunday Oliseh could say a thing like that. He was a nobody when he came to the national team. He started from home too,” Keshi was quoted to have said on Vanguard Sports. “is it bad that we are trying to build a team with the inclusion of home-based players? Please, help me question the integrity of those who are opposed to this and Tell them what it’s right.” ”When he came to the national team, I took him as a younger brother. I later (as an assistant coach to Amodu Shuabu) made him captain and he became a super star. Who knows what these boys could become in future?” Keshi took six homebased players to the 2013 African Nations Cup in South Africa, where a local based player(Sunday Mba) scored the winning goal in the final against Burkina Faso. He equally took eight homebased players to the Confederations Cup in Brazil, where Nigeria only won one game against Tahiti. |
^^^ I think it is Ngwu. What do you know about Ngwu? |
I'm wondering if anyone has heard about a plant called Ngwulu in Igboland. |
Our starting 11 should be: Enyeama Ambrose, Oboabona, Omeruo, Echiejile. Onazi, Mikel, Mba. Moses, Emenike, Joel Obi. Good Subs: Ejide Agbim John Ogu Ogude Musa Akpala Odumadi U. Kalu I. Kalu |
We were destined to fail at this Confederations Cup. We lost our top 2 forwards: Emenike and Moses and our second best midfielder: Onazi before the tournament. We had no replacements for them because Nigeria does not have many good players at the moment. During the tournament proper, we lost our only promising forward: Oduamadi and our best defender: Omeruo. If we had lost Mikel and keeper Enyama, then we'll be equivalent to a 112 ranked best team in world. All these happened when the rest of teams in the tournament had their FULL squad with no one missing or injured. I think we played great despite all these troubles. We dominated Uruguay and didn't look out of place against Spain. Statistics wise, we finished the group stage as the greatest passers in the tournament ahead of Spain: Total passes completed: Nigeria 1508, Spain 1304. Kudos to Keshi and I hope Ideye is dropped from the team. |

Ola Johnson: David Mark is a Northerner or, better still, a Middle Belter. He is of the Idoma extraction. The problem with most people is their belief that the North is made up of Hausa/Fulani only. In the Middle Belt alone there are upto fifty ethnic groups. Today's Benue, Plateau, Nasarrawa, Kogi, Kwara and Niger states have always been part of the North, right from 1946 when the Richard Constitution introduced regionalism.Let me put it this way. If there was no amalgamation in 1914, David Mark will be a Southern Nigerian. Go and review the original maps of Southern and Northern Nigeria. |
Lilimax: Idomaland have never been in the South. It is part of Benue state?... and who told you that? |
... and people wonder why I support Asari Dokubo. |
mikeansy: Pardon my Geography, is Benue North or South of River Niger?Half of Ijalaland and Idomaland were originally part of Southern Nigeria and David Mark was originally a Southerner. I don't know how they ended up as Northerners. |
Kyekubbe Joo: John burnt his wife’s hands and entire body, disfiguring her body.I swear, if I were this woman's brother, I'll pluck out the man's eyes. Yeye justice system. |
The punishment for this kind of crime is hanging! No questions asked. |
