We all know how this delegate voting works. They always pander to the highest bidder. Ogba paid the highest money and that’s why delegates voted him.

Just like Atiku and Tinubu bought their party’s presidential tickets.

Now, arguing that all Ebonyians will vote Ogba because delegates from every part of Ebonyi elected him PDP candidate is like arguing that Tinubu will win the presidential election because delegates from all parts of Nigeria voted in electing him APC candidate.

Does that argument make sense to you?

He’s now behaving like Tinubu supporters that when you ask them where Tinubu will get his votes, they will start telling long stories.

The Nwifuru he’s trying to say doesn’t stand a chance against Ogba is from Izzi. Now, the Izzi people occupy three Local Governments of Izzi, Ebonyi and Abakaliki Local Governments. That’s 3 LGAs that Nwifuru is sure of votes.

Again, the Ngbo people of Ohaukwu LGA always stand in solidarity with Izzi people, so Nwifuru is also likely to get majority votes from Ohaukwu.

Nwifuru’s wife is from Ikwo. That adds Ikwo votes to an extent.

Then his running mate and the governor who’s projecting him are from the south. Those people will work to deliver Ohaozara and Afikpo votes to him.

Now, the people left are the Ezza people of Ezza north and south. But they have adopted Prof Odoh as their messiah and are likely going to vote for him in droves. Plus that Ezza people will not vote for Ogba.

So, where will Ogba get his votes?

The last time it was turn of the Centre, a minority man from Ikwo, Elechi, took it. Now another minority wants to take the chance of the centre again. Ezza people won’t let that happen.

Are you sure you are from Ebonyi?

Ezza people will not vote for Ogba (it will diminish their chances and they have Prof Odo who they are ready to die for)

Izzi people will not vote for Ogba (it is their turn)

That leaves Ogba with his Umuhuali people and Ebonyi South where Umahi has influence on how they should vote.

So where will Ogba get his votes?

Ogba is from Ebonyi Central, same senatorial district as Ezza people and the Ezzas want the governorship now or after 8 years of Ebonyi north. Meanwhile he’s not Ezza. He’s from a minority tribe in Ebonyi Central.

The implication is that Ezza people, the next most populous tribe after Izzi, will not vote for him or risk waiting for another 24 years before they get power after other zones must have had their turns.

Again, the Izzi people of Ebonyi North will not vote for him because by zoning arrangement, it is their turn.

That restricts Ogba to just his Umuhuali tribe and maybe Ebonyi South where Umahi has considerable influence on the direction their vote should go.

Have you seen that Ogba is in a fix, just like Tinubu?

But not so with AnyiChuks. Even though the dude is from Umahi’s local government, he stands a better chance. He has already picked a running mate from Ezza which would guarantee him considerable Ezza votes. Though majority of Ezza people are supporting Prof. Odo of APGA.

Ogba cannot pick running mate from Ezza (they are in same Senatorial zone), he cannot pick from Izzi (they already have about 4 guber candidates and they believe it’s their turn), that leaves him with only the south where most of other guber candidates are choosing their running mates.

I’m just saying this to tell you that Ogba shouldn’t have bordered with this case. It’s useless for him to have the ticket.

That's not an excuse for the youths not to step up and save their ancestral land from conquest, don't they have a vigilante service there? The border with Benue which has become very volatile needs to be cordoned off and vigorously patrolled by well armed youths that should be sponsored by the state government (unfortunately Ugwanyi is a useless as P in psychology)...if the Mgbuji people don't act fast and keep playing the lame duck, the entire community will become another Benue state.

I've always maintained that Enugu (or maybe some parts) are very docile by nature, they are the weakest link we have in the East.
