Sorry guys for not updating the thread earlier. I've been really busy with work. So, fast-forward to one week after I submitted my documents, still no call. Well, I wasn't bothered because even if I got a call, work wouldn't let me go. In the second week, still nothing, this week made it the third week and luckily I was on break from work, so I decided to pay them a visit at immigration office. Immediately i saw the officer with my documents, he recognised and called me by name..lol. It seems my file had been with him too that long that the name stuck in his head. Without wasting anytime he directed me to a lady who reviewed my file and asked me some questions. The lady also tried to convince me to pay some more cash with the excuse that they run the office with diesel and all, and that they don't rely on what the FG allocates to run the place. She also said paying would make me collect it earlier than the official collection date, but I told her I wasn't in a haste, so they could take their time. After the interview, I was taken to the data capturing room where I did my biometrics and the page that was printed said my collection date is on the 18th (next friday). I believe if I had gone the next week without invitation, i would have still done my biometrics and would have gotten it by now. Apparently, the story of submitting your documents before being called for the interview was false because people who paid cash there (about 25k) had their biometrics taken same day. The officer probably wanted to frustrate me for applying online, but he got the wrong guy. I came very early on the day I submitted my documents that's why I was able to buy that story because the office wasn't busy yet. If I noticed people paying and taking their biometrics same day, I would have challenged them openly. From this experience i think the problem with most Nigerians is impatience and that's why people don't want to follow due process and these officials take advantage of this. My friend said he did his own at the same office at 24k and got it the next day, even though he didn't need it urgently. I will update y'all when I collect it hopefully next week. I'm not sure if work will give me the opportunity on that day though, but as soon as I get it you will know. Thanks for listening ![]() |
TheBae:congratulations. Thank God you didn't miss your flight...lol. All the best! |
I won't blame Anderson for choosing Kumi. That was his decision to make, and guy code or not, he had a reason to make it. I just blame the Pfame ogas-at-the-top for allowing Ada vote twice. It absolutely made no sense at all. People can come on social media and shout all they want, but if they had voted Chike, he wouldn't have been in that situation. Put your money where your mouth is rather than ranting on all social media. With Chike's popularity, i'm really surprised at how Jeff made it to the top 4 viewers choice over him tho...oh, well! |
These guys are retards! How on earth will the deal breaker be someone who's voted already. Who else did they expect Ada to vote after the first vote? I'm really disappointed with MTN. There's no contingency plan in the event that such things happen. They just act on impulse. It's really pathetic. Project Fame is officially now a big joke. |
sholay2011:Congrats Shola, will be joining you soon bro. Have a good rest. ![]() |
CoCoLav:Congrats sister! I can just imagine the feeling ![]() |
Jhennyaiko:Big Congrats. This is the beginning of greater things to come for you. |
rolandy22:@sholay2011, did you apply with a conditional acceptance letter? |
darefestus:Congrats bro. All the best. |
lol.. I'm sure by 2019, APC would deny that PMB was president. Propaganda and lies like i've never seen before! Chaii! |
abbyyzino:University of Manitoba doesn't require you to pay upfront. In fact, the deadline for payment of fees is usually few days into resumption. |
lol..no one saw that coming. Well, congrats to Anderson. Inasmuch as i agree he left too early, it doesn't still change the fact it's a competition. Shiitt happen in life. The judges should have thought well of the repercussion before putting everyone on probation. The funny thing is that they still repeated the same thing again this week. I just hope they now have a system in place for avoiding the repetition of that. I hope Anderson makes good use of this opportunity because this won much more fans to him. Lastly, MTN should put the integrity of this show above making profits, because putting everyone on probation 2 consecutive times is beginning to make the show look childish. Last night, there were contestants that really stood out from the others and it wasn't fair on them after all the effort to put everyone on probation once again. MTN should watch it! |
doubled123:Hi, you need to check the departmental page on the school website to find out if your course requires you to get a supervisor before you're considered. My application was under review in department for about 4 weeks until i got a supervisor who recommended me for admission. However, if your course doesn't require you getting a supervisor first, then you should mail the department asking when decision would be made concerning your application. |
warriorprincess:Anderson is a cool guy, but i don't think Nigerians will generally welcome him to the show biz industry. There's this swag and charisma you just have to possess to make it in naija, but unfortunately Anderson doesn't possess that, probably because of his stature. |
Let's face it. Quite agreed, Anderson has an exceptional voice, but this competition is not all about that. He really flopped his Tuface's song last week and this week was just a little better. If all contestants weren't on probation last week, definitely Anderson and Deinde deserved to be on probation based on their performance and going by their re-performance of the same songs today, I think the judges were right to choose Kumi and the faculty, Jeff. Let's take away sentiments from this matter. It's a competition. MTN is looking for an artiste marketable to Naija and West Africa. The fact that Anderson couldn't pull off the Tuface hit just says a lot. At the end of the day, MTN and Nigerians need the winner to be someone who's vocally sound, a great performer and has an outstanding social profile. Sadly, Anderson doesn't meet the last criteria- no wonder the was among the least voted for. He could have won on some other platform but definitely not project fame. Wish him all the best. Finally, I believe the guys in the house are now getting a taste of their own bitter pill. They started it, but you know what they say about karma. We shall see how things turn out in the coming weeks. |
eetti:Wow...congrats. Was the 3m SOA the only account you submitted from your sponsor? If yes? Did you pay your school fees upfront? |
This shall be the thread of our testimony. Amen. |
@jessicajessa, big congrats to you! I tap into your testimony by fire ![]() |
Prince047:wow! 11 days? How did you do it? |
yh..very true. I noticed this when i was taking a physics tutorial class some time last year. I was really shocked. But i guess it's the pirated copies. |
PMB and APC should stop chasing shadows and focus on the task ahead of them. |
hahaha...i said it! I knew chike would win people's votes and oluchi would be saved by the judges. Though i hadn't watched the show when i made this statement i could tell from their level of preparedness from what i saw during the daily show. Richie's eviction was already obvious. I thought the contestants would save ruby tho... Chike choosing deinde was really surprising. Well, let's see as the remaining weeks turn out. |
Nice one...i see couple of my guys in the pic. Keep repping! #proudlyUnilag |
otokx:sure i will. |
incredu:hmmn...Deinde 'overactivity' don dey provoke some people. I agree he has fans, but he equally has haters. Chike on the other hand is loved by most people i've got to relate with. |
Just go with z30. Asides the camera i personally find Lumia and windows 8 phones boring. z30 is what you'll need trust me. Plus u can get to install android apps on it. |
lol..it will only take the grace of God for Anderson to pull off that 2face's song. I see Chike being saved by viewers votes this weekend tho. Richie, time to go home. Judges and faculty likely to save Tejiri/Oluchi. Contestants...who would they pick between Deinde and Ruby? ![]() |
The annoying thing is that Nigerians know the due procedure, but go ahead to just pay and later we complain about corruption, when we play a part in encouraging it. I decided that at the worst, I would get in touch with their Abuja office, because i knew he clearly wanted to rip me off. Nigerians must play a part in the fight against corruption. This is not just a fight for PMB. He can't curb corruption to the grassroot because gone are the days of the military's 'War Against Indiscipline'. It's almost going to be impossible without the help of Nigerians playing their part. |
What's it with this country and corruption? It's just really pathetic. I made an application to get a Nigerian passport and paid N17,000 online. According to the directive on the site, i was to proceed to the NIS passport office today in Calabar for my interview with some documents. I made arrangements and went with all required document this morning. I met an immigration officer there on uniform who said i wasn't supposed to submit the documents on the same day of my interview. He said i was meant to submit the documents earlier, then it would be reviewed before an interview date would be fixed for me. I told him the information i got on the website was to proceed to the passport office with my documents on the day of the interview which is today and i have friends that followed the same procedure to get theirs. What really got my upset was when he mentioned that i'll have to pay N5,000 for 'administrative fee'. I told him i wouldn't pay that as it wasn't mentioned on their website when i applied. When I insisted on seeing his boss to ask him about the fee, he just changed the topic and said it wasn't necessary. He collected my documents and filed it, and said i'll be invited for the interview. I later got to know from their security guard that they fix particular days to invite people to capture their data but he refused to comment on the said 'administrative fee'. May God help this country ![]() |
TheBae:Thank you. |
