In our democratic setting just like other democracies, we have 3 different and constitutionally empowered and funded arms of government and the presidents actions or inactions has no bearing on senator twitters activities or capacity to satisfy his cinstituency.

The president doesn't allocate, in charge or dictate how senator twitter spends his constituency funds.

You are entitled to your opinion, but please educate yourself per how things work before unleashimg uninformed and ignorant assertions.

We all know the ignorant one now. smiley You should go to sleep before you keep talking trash. You need it. In case you don't know, the funds are not given personally to the senators but to the ministries that would be oversee the projects. Get enlightened.

You like him and want him to be the president of Nigeria because he sits on twitter wailing meaningless rubbish.?

Shouldn't your support be about what he delivered on behalf of his own constituency that sent him to abuja?

Do you mind showing us what his constituency have benefited from him in the last six months?
Please i'm not here to convince you or anyone. You're entitled to your opinion and you might as well keep it to yourself. I wonder how much he can do for his constituency in a government that has been virtually non-existent since inception. Little if you ask me.

I see prospects in this man. I always wish he ran for presidency. But again if he ran, he would likely not have won because Nigerians are too blind to know what's good for them. Anytime he decides to run, he has my vote! As for now, i can only say this is another wasted tenure. Let's wait till 2019.

I believe you could still use it like that and include your diploma statement of result. I believe your transcript indicates your mode of entry (Direct Entry) so that shouldn't be a problem.

Please Fellow nairalanders, I submitted my application on Friday 23rd without a police character certificate and medical test, hope it won't affect my application?
It's unlikely to affect your application. Several people have gotten TRVs without the police character certificate. You may receive a notification to go for your medical test after your application has been reviewed. Some people however decide to do it before applying to make the process faster.

And my much awaited GcMs has landed
What do u guys think...
Wow this is quite weird. It was a very expensive mistake, which might have occurred as a result of either an error on your path or the VO. Did you request the GCMS note for your first application? I see a possibility that these VOs refer to that when reviewing subsequent applications to make their job easier. So, they probably just look out for only changes in the new application. He might have just picked that from the previous GCMS and didn't see the need to go through some docs you presented again. This is just an assumption tho. Secondly, i think it would help if you address this issue in your next application and also include a chronological CV before other academic docs to highlight the fact that you have no such academic gaps.

Hello can someone help me with this question. IS it okay to write that I would be accommodate by my sister in Canada even though I have enough money for my accommodation. please advise. Do I tell d consular I would look for my own application or tell him I would stay with my sister during the cause of study, which one is bera?
Not so sure but I think if she is a PR, she could support your application with a letter stating she'd accomodate you. I think even though ur sister is over there, it's not necessary to state you will be staying with her. Just make sure you have sufficient funds to cover tuition + $10,000. When you're granted the TRV, nothing stops you from staying with her if you so wish.

Zip/postal code isn't necessary if it wasn't used in the person's bank account. I'll suggest you log into the bank account, under account info, copy the exact address as it is in the online banking platform or account statement print out.
That's the issue, it wasn't used and it's a compulsory field to fill in the form. I tried it with the zip code and it gave an error message. I'm using the same address on the online banking platform.
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 9 by obiscolly(m): 9:33am On Oct 10, 2015
Pls for people that have paid for visa application online, is the zip/postal code really important? I now have an online enabled GTBank card, but it's still not going through for me. I used the exact bank account address associated with the card but still no luck angry any hints on how to put the address, city and zip code for it to work?

Medical Done: July 17, 2015

My conclusion, God did it, and I give all Glory to him. But I learnt something, God will not do for you what you should do yourself. Don't expect a miracle when you have failed to play your own role.
Congrats bro..your approval was well deserved. You've been of great relevance here.

PoliticsRe: Jonathan Breaks Silence - El-Rufai Lied On Independence Expenditure by obiscolly(m): 6:17pm On Oct 04, 2015
I just laughed when El-rufai published those figures and Nigerians were lashing Jonathan. People just call billions as if it's nothing. I wonder if people just sometimes take a pause to think logically about stories they hear or read. Tomorrow someone will come out and say $20 billion vanished into thin air. We just have a bunch of confused ignorant illiterates in this country and it's such a pity. People just look for every opportunity to blame the government for their current predicament by believing stupid and fallacious stories.

Good morning house. As i type this post, am a very sad man. I just checked my application status for the University Of Regina last night and i found out i wasn't accepted. I waited approximately 2 months for this decision, and that was the only school i applied to. I really don't know where to start at the moment.
Am a graduate of ANUC ghana with a CGPA of 3.08/4. Please someone should recommend a Canadian school for me with a less tedious admission process. Thank you
Things like this happen sometimes in life. It doesn't have to make you sad. It could end up being a blessing in disguise for you. I'll however advice like vinci500 stated to find the reason for your refusal from the school. Most school requires applicants getting course advisors before they are admitted and defaulting can be enough reason to be denied admission. Secondly, don't put all eggs in one basket. I'll advice you apply to 2-3 schools next time to increase your chances / options. Cheer up!

Good pple, I am confused nd I need clarification. I ws meant to resume school dis summer, but due to CiC nd their delay, I ve nt been able to meet up. Now I ve mailed to school to defer my admission last week, then cic send's medical request. Now I ve the new admission letter nd I ve done my medicals. Do you think I shld forward this new letter to them or just allow them use what they have with them??
there's no need to forward the new letter in my opinion. As far as you have the TRV, you could still resume in January. You might just need to prove to them at entry into Canada that you deferred your admission.

Congrats to Jeff! I always knew he'll top the chart. I'm really glad he won. That dude has got all it takes ; the voice, charisma, looks and personality. I feel sorry for Arewa tho... i predicted she deserved the second place. All in all, they're all winners. It's not really about the money and gifts. This should be a platform for all of them to launch their careers. They're all stars already. Peace!

I saw this same 149.46 when I wanted to run my budget, but I added a markup and worked with 153 instead. I stated this on my cost breakdown. Just tried to be reasonable. Some bank rates are way too outrageous.
Yh..since the exchange rate isn't really stable coupled with bank charges, it's a good idea to use a higher value. Thanks.

Going to Mcgill and UToronto... Its a lot of competition getting into those 2 schs as they are the to 2 schs in canada for now. Not saying u can't get them, but you would need to have a very strong academic stand, a very good purpose of intent, and a nice referee, majorly from ur supervisor in school, or a prof that taught u while in sch. I made a first class, and was not admitted at McGill, same wit anoda friend of mine, first class, and was rejected at first at UToronto. So, you need someting special, just as stated above to get this 2 schs. All d best
Which school did you finally get into?

Hello Guys, nice work from all our contributors. I've not been so frequent here because of the nature of my work. However, I should be applying online for my study permit by this month's end.
I want to know the current CAD equivalent of my sponsor's account balance. Google says it's 149.46 naira. Since i want to give a detailed breakdown of my costs in proof of finance, should I use this value or that which is obtainable at banks (I currently don't know how much banks sell the CAD)?

The VO is not satisfied with the authenticity of the account statement you provided. He says it didn't come presented in the required format and that there's no summary of transactions, which I think usually comes on the first page. I stand to be corrected though. How did you obtain the bank statement? Did you include all the pages of the statement in the application?
