I

HELLO ALL,

PLS I NEED SOME ADVISE.

I AM PACKAGING MY APPLICATION FOR A MASTERS DEGREE IN MATHEMATICS,

I READ MATHS AS UNDERGRADUATE (SECOND CLASS UPPER) AND HAVE BEEN WORKING SINCE COMPLETING NYSC IN 2001...BANK WORK.

BUT BTWN 2006 AND 2007 I DID MBA IN LASU AND WITH ALL LASU WAHALA RESULTS WERE NOT RELEASED ON TIME.

BUT IN 2012 I CHECKED AND FOUND OUT I HAD ONE RESIT WHICH I WROTE IN 2013. TILL NOW RESULT IS NOT OUT AND I DID NOT EVEN REGISTER FOR IT BEFORE WRITING BECAUSE THE PORTAL HAD PROBLEMS AND I WAS JUST ADVISED TO WRITE IT AND SEE WHAT CAN BE DONE WITH THE RESULTS . SO RIGHT NOW I DONT HAVE AN MBA DEGREE AND DONT HAVE IDEA WAT YEAR I MAY EVENTUALLY GET ONE FROM LASU

MY QUESTION: DO I NEED TO DECLARE THIS PROGRAMME AND OBTAIN TRANSCRIPT FROM LASU AS PART OF MY EDUCATION HISTORY IN MY AAPLICATION FOR THE MASTERS DEGREE IN CANADA OR DO I JUST KEEP SILIENT. WHAT IS THE BEST THING TO DO?

I AM TRYING TO BE AS HONEST AS POSSIBLE WITH MY APPLICATION.
In my opinion, mentioning this will just complicate things, more especially since you still haven't been awarded the degree to date. You've been working since 2001, so I feel that's enough to convince the VO that you've not been idle. You might want to mention any certifications you've earned during your banking career too.

Your story is quite interesting and educative, but I'm disappointed you allowed mere comments on here get to you. That's typical nairalanders for you. I had believed you had a strong heart by reading your story, but your action says otherwise. Unless perhaps, you prove me wrong by completing your story.

Hello peeps!!!
My brother got the passport request notice today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He is a very complex applicant with no funds of his own (absolute zero), no employment letter (he was self-employed but he made very little from it and didn't register the company), and zero travel history outside West Africa. But we worked hard to get the VO to see that he wasn't lazying about since he finished BSc about five years ago. We put together a really good application (with lots of proof) in spite of the complexity of his application, and apparently the VO was impressed. But let's wait until we see the visa sha.... I previously discussed his application here and here and here.
Congrats man! Can only imagine how convincing the application was. Well deserved!

I thank God for His mercies. I finally got TRV at 3rd attempt in one year.

First Application April 2015 via online but Refused May 2015

Second Application June 2015 online Refused July 2015

3rd Application September 2015 online TRV November 2015.

Reasons for refusal were insufficient funds. I Was working with the proof of funds requirement on CIC website. My admission was for fall 2015.

I did not submit SOP nor police check in any of the applications.
Congrats bro. Your resilience finally paid off!

Good day All,

GOD is miraculous. Am sharing my story to encourage us and believe that GOD has a plan for us all.

I applied online on May 8th 2015 but was denied on July 8th 2015. Reasons ticked were purpose of visit, personal asset and financial status. I was depressed but I still prayed to GOD that may his will be done. I was introduced to a PFL agent who later reviewed my app and brought out some flaws. eg. I filled the TRV form for visiting, the agent also made a statement that there was no interrelation between my sponsor and I. Although I am self funded.

I reapplied on September 16th,see below.
Reapplied paper route- sept 16th 2015
medical call- oct 5th 2015
medical done- oct 6th 2015
approval mail on - oct 26th
Passport dispatch mail on- Nov 5th
TRV pickup- 15 Nov 2015.

All praise to GOD for this miracle. I did police report, I had a letter from my mum saying she knows am travelling and that my aunty will support me, and all funds will be in my account, filled study questionnaire, readjusted my SOP to have Nigerian ties and other strategies.

All praise be to GOD, it was indeed a miracle. Wishing others the best and handsome TRV.
Congrats.

How bad politics can get. I wonder why anyone in their right minds fails to see the accomplishment of this lady. All we believe is beer parlour gists with little or no facts. I pity this country! The masses are our undoing because of how myopic most Nigerians can be. I wish her a quick recovery and that God puts all her enemies to shame.

I think that shouldn't be a cause for worry. It can be updated later. Perhaps the other upfront medical peeps can shed more light into this.

QUICK HELP GUYS!!!

For delay...will it be appended on the passport or the passport will not be requested at all?
Just go for Thanksgiving Sir. Once your passport is required your visa is sure. I'm thinking you're the one I saw at the Lekki VAC with your wife when you did your biometrics. I had mine after urs. Not so sure tho. Congratulations!
PoliticsRe: Common Lies Nigerians Tell Themselves About Nigeria. by obiscolly(m): 9:01pm On Nov 10, 2015
Truth can be so bitter that's why majority of Nigerians shy away from it and live in their fantasy world. Even countries that are making giant strides and developing on all fronts are not making noise about being great..smh. Sometimes I think God created this country to serve a big comic relief from the boredom of the rest of the world. grin

Because I applied for my wife as well, I tried hers and it worked but have not been able to get info about mine
I think it's best to mail or call VFS about this, or better still go to their office to sort out the issue. After your biometrics, did it reflect on your CIC account?

Hi guys, I applied for trv on the 10 th of Oct and did my biometrics on the 12th of Oct. Anytime I check my status on the CIC website, I see this message as an update of my biometrics ........." Not needed at this time"

Abeg o,is anything wrong?
If you had observed well before you did biometrics that column said "the candidate's biometrics is needed". It changed after the biometrics was submitted indicating that it has been received. So I don't think there's a problem.

cliché
even nokia 108 of 5k is not meant for everybody
does dat also make it classic?
By classic I mean it's meant for people of a certain class. Obviously those that can afford to have it. So if you can't spend much to get it, stick to what works for you.

Is pmb the finance ministry abi what's your point.?

It is the responsibility of the finance ministry to make sure they do right with the money unlike what they did under gej where they pocket constituency project money through their hand picked proxy contractors.

The days of impunity and corruption died out and every taxpayers kobo must be accounted for.

Btw. Money qnd projects are not the only means of contribution...he can pass or support bills to help his people back home.

He can vollunteerr his time and energy or the funds he made under gej and akpabio with contrasts to is community..
Do we currently have a fully functional finance ministry? lool...watever you say. Like i said before i'm not here to argue.
