Eziachi: This is the sort of attitude that make Nigeria what it became, belittling every thing that happens. Nothing shock Nigerians, every thing is brush under the carpet instantly and wait for another. Letting him know he shouldn't allow hate for the current administration override his sense of judgment? Is that the attitude you were referring to? I do not think so Did you go through his first post? You should go through it again. Forwetinnah: I SAID IT!! APC FRAAAAAUD!! THEY TALK AND DISCREDIT. He only jumped on the opportunity to show his hatred for this administration and he did a very very bad job. There's room for doubt and investigation, but if you cannot back your claims, hold your peace till you can. That in a nutshell, was my point. |

Forwetinnah: I don't need to compare..i knew something like this would come up since the Sagay in question already denied the interview. The APC is known to eat it's vomit..does that hogwash sound convincing to you? Someone definitely put him up to it to save face. No one can come up with an interview of a prominent member in Booooohari's shady change movie if it wasn't true to start with. That guy has been intimidated!! That's what they do..they're all over the cyber space threatening and blackmailing people, I admit that its possible there's some behind the scene twist, but isn't it also possible it was an honest mistake? Nobody is claiming Prof. Sagay actually granted the interview, the Journalist involved has admitted he erred on his job, Shouldn't we accept his honest explanation and move on? why go back and forth about something that's been cleared already by all parties involved? About the journalist being blackmailed, do you have proof? Does it make any sense that Prof. Sagay grants the interview that he knows will be published and still goes back to blackmail the journalist to clear his name? you seriously think any sane man with his balls intact has that time? I understand that you are not a fan of this administration, and that probably explains why you think the way you do. But its fine, there's freedom of speech, and your views are always welcome. |

[quote author=analice107 post=41201251] I think what PastorOlu is trying to say is that. you can't be doing the wrong thing but expect the right result. May be you should show the Op the path to the right result. Who is he really? I mean, does God know him? wow. Even Job, who based on his relationship with God, felt he had the right to demand an explanation from God. Did God explain Himself to Job? According to this biblical story, there was a literal response, not only to Job, but to his friends too. So the Op is actually entitled to a response at least. Now, if Yahweh were to call out His stewards, will this Op be among? If Lucifer (a sworn enemy) could have conversations with yahweh, why does the Op need to make any list to have a right to ask certain questions. let me quote PastorOlu. [b]"You can't get there from here, You have to go back and start from the other side" [b] What other side is that? I'm not sure the Op understands that. that's if u want to get it right. The Op definitely wants to get it right, that's the essence of this thread. |

PastorOluT: I appreciate u for ur patience n response, knowing NL for what it is, many would have responded with insults.
Now my statement was never meant to be an insult or lead to provocations if it is well understood.
When we come to understand some things the kind of questions we ask will defer from that we ask before n see our folly in asking those questions. We can ask the right questions concerning some issues no matter ow earnest we are till will acquire sufficient knowledge, hence lackingg capacity to ask the right questions.
Now let me give a little story to butress my point. Some group of poeple got lost in the wilderness n after some time got furtunate to be found by some hunters. They quickly told the hunters we they were headed, but interestingly the hunter told then they couldnt get to where they were going from here bt would have to go back to some certain mountain and trace their way to their destination. So it is with us, many of us always start from the wrong point, place, questions etc, bt the truth remains that we can never get results till we go back to that particular mountain n see things quite diferently.
Thank you for elaborating, but you see my friend, the Op's dilemma is entirely on a different page from your story, because in this case, they had a real interaction with the hunters. They saw the hunters and their presence wasn't in any doubt, they didn't need faith to recognize them and accept what they were saying, so even if they weren't asking the right questions in that scenario, I'd understand. I 'd like to come to the conclusion that the Op seems puzzled, and I think in this case, the first step is questioning the source of the puzzle. Whether the questions are right or wrong should be subject to the answers available if she finds them. |

PastorOluT: Sorry dear u are not asking d right questions, and just to add u dont have the capacity to ask d right question,
NB Are u familiar with this saying? 'U cant get there from here, u have to go and start from the other side'. Urmmm, I'm sorry I don't mean to be rude, but how did you arrive that premise? To say that a human with free will and a functioning brain doesn't have the capacity to ask the right questions about his supposed maker is quite a huge statement you know. Perhaps you should clarify or give reasons, if you don't mind |

malvisguy212: I was not born into Christianity. I was born into muslims family. Sorry, Maybe you weren't born into a christian family, I only used that scenario to let you know you would have easily been practicing a different religion today. . But going through my post, you would have observed that it was centered on indoctrination, even if you were born into a muslim family and decided to choose christianity at some point, that process of indoctrination still took place. At some point, some one introduced christianity to you and started convincing you that islam wasn't the way, same way some one born into a christian family starts seeing more sense in Islam and switches camp as a result. Indoctrination; to teach (someone) to fully accept the ideas, opinions, and beliefs of a particular group and to not consider other ideas, opinions, and beliefsThe essence of which is to make you see what you are being taught as the truth, demonizing others in the process. Merci. |

malvisguy212: the op is under satanic spell but he did not know it, satan want you to believe he doesent exist. You are a christian I guess, is it not possible that Allah has put a spell on you so you won't believe he really exists or so you won't realize that christ did not resurrect from the dead? I think its rather unfortunate that theists always want to demonize any school of thought pointing out flaws, loopholes and negative effects of religion on the society. I'm sure the Op did not particularly mention any religion, but as is the norm, the religion you have been indoctrinated with puts you under permanent obligation to curse and fight back anything on the opposite side of what you have been taught. Sir
With due respect, the truth you think you know as a christian isn't absolute, same applies to all other forms of religion, you only know what you have been indoctrinated with. What you think of christianity today would have been the exact opposite if you were born into the family of one Alhaji Shehu Umaru in Bauchi state. |

I 'v been close to a pastor at RCCG. Truth is, From scratch to top, revenue (tithes & offerings) is more important to the church.
A pastor whose branch generates very little from tithes and offerings is often considered as not doing god's work.
That's why pastors are always bothered about the size of their sheep. The larger the flock, the higher the cash flow.
The whole thing is messed up really. |

Mcbussy: I am not disputing ur claims, but please as "the wise and smart one" give us few examples of how a handful of soldiers would have cleared a path blocked by up to a thousand Islamic mob chanting and yelling "alahu ahkbar"
Many of us just come here to say rubbish with the intent of pushing blame on a specific government we despise. That is the real problem of Nigerians. Only few of us are transparent and unbiased in our reasoning.
When they attacked and killed some members of this same group about a year ago, I didn't feel it was just, but I felt the soldiers were pushed. I didn't blame the soldiers and neither did I blame GEJ for that incident. Why is it that all of a sudden, a similar and more antagonizing event occurs, and suddenly, some clowns come here to put d blame on the army and at dsame time gladly blame GMB?
If they had successfully mobbed and killed the COAS and his crew, these same goons would still come here and shout Buhari dis, Buhari that. Now the army were antagonized and they decided to fight the mob, these same group of e-goats are here talking.
Why must people carry weapons like machetes to confront d Army with all this happening in the nation??...if u think machetes are not weapons, go and read the history of atrocities it was used to carry out in Sierra Leone, Rwanda, etc. Just a few months ago, some rumors were circulating that hundreds of soldiers were killed in one single attack. If u have a family in the military or if u have lost some1 to this Islamic insurgency, I'm sure u wouldn't be saying this trash.
The rules of engagement ur talking about doesn't apply to only gun to gun situations. If u engage me with any weapon that can harm or kill me (machete, cutlass or molotov cocktail), I have a right to hit u with any weapon at my disposal (AK47, RPG ) .... That is the rule of engagement. Enter the nearest bar, drinks on me. |

Seen the video, the army had no choice, unruly shiites.
If the army had succumbed and probably had one or two casualties, same people screaming murder would mock and label the Nigerian army as weak.
Do you not know that by being out there in the open trying to reason with them, the COAS put his life and that of his soldiers in danger for absolutely no reason?
The army did not drive down from their base to open fire on them, they brought death upon themselves.
Religious extremists disturbing use of a federal road, wielding machetes, sticks, and arrows screaming allahu akbar! are a danger to the Nigerian society and should be dealt with accordingly.
We have yet to put boko haram to rest, now this?

Vikkie14: you asked for money to pay your final year exam, i gave you the money immediately. But, behind my back, you went to a shopping mall to get some household equipment. Who's to blame? Dasuki asked for money to get weapons for the army, Jonathan gave the order for the money. Dasuki spent part of money and deliver the rest to the military. Who's to blame? Now, here's the reality, the trip to the shopping mall to get household equipments not only happened under his watch, but he had knowledge of the purchased household equipments and gave him a pat on the back for a job well done. Thus, Jonathan, C-in-C at the time, in whom Nigerians put their trust (not Dasuki) cannot feign ignorance, therefore he's to blame. |
