pneumaticos:Please, ask me a serious question. |
pneumaticos:Please, you are making claims that you cannot defend, the basis of your thread lies in your faith as a practising christian, which I respect, But nothing you put up there is factual, nothing!!! Moment you are asked to back your claims, you end up taking a tour through your holy book and the circle of what you call faith which most folks here give little or no credence to. |
ifeanyija:Please check your mail. |
Please check your mails. Would be nice if you could share a thing or two about your projects here.... Put heads together, talk about your ideas, challenges, hopes and expectations... Its feels good knowing you are not alone. PS: Taking up CD projects is one way to make your service year worth the while. Its challenging, its tough, it breaks you, mockery and insults will come, disappointments spring up here and there, but persistence and determination will carry you through and the satisfaction of completing projects that will benefit people you are meeting for the first time is priceless. Again, #toughjob, but you can do it. |
onismate:Ok. |
My pleasure, please check your mail. |
You'll get it soon. |
Woman, you are naïve and misguided in your thoughts, and what you wish for will burn you when it eventually cams. |
The fact that you asked means you consider it an offense against your conscience. So why not go with your conscience. PS: even if you end up doing the opposite (taking d cash), its going to be a decision to savor the moment after which your conscience gives way for guilt to creep in. |
The greed of some so called public servants is sickening, if the economy is in a bad shape and there's need to cut expenses, shouldn't they begin by cutting theirs, Isn't it obvious that if exorbitant allowances given to these thieves is slashed we won't even talk about touching minimum wage except we want to raise it?? And people still vote these foxes into power?? When will we awaken as a nation? When? PS: If only Sen. Bruce spoke this way during sessions.. |
Those expecting the award could kindly give a brief of what they did, challenges faced and how they scaled through as this will be a source of inspiration and a guide of some sort to dogged corps members who want to emulate the good records that you must have set in your various states. |
Hi Bobby, I understand your plight, thing is, with time you 'might' get used to the Bakura environment and probably feel relaxed about it, going about day-day activities all smiles and with enthusiasm too. I feel everything happens for a reason and as such there's always something you can make of your stay there. Obviously Bakura doesn't meet your expectations and I can understand that, but you can always take positives out of a seemingly bad circumstance, you could engage yourself in selfless community aid activities that will benefit the indigenes around you; Like taking extra lessons for free or a very meager fee parents 'd easily afford , pick one or 2 challenges in your PpA or host community and try to be a part of the solution process, sensitization on topics bothering on health issues(their health awareness isn't really encouraging) plus anything you think they'd appreciate and remember you for, this could make your stay there worth the while. But if you feel its not going to be worth it, I totally understand and hope you get what you really want. |
TrajansKong:I expected a reply of this sort, But the christ that you preach and the apostles that you are meant to imitate did not propagate this kind of message... They did not preach poverty neither did they emphasize on derivation of material wealth by embracing the gospel, So from whence commeth your understanding? |

I have observed with keen interest how churches operate and the modus operandi of banks in terms of objectives and targets. Here's what I think..... Banks have their primary objective as expanding as much as possible right? Pulling in as much cash as possible abi? So to achieve this, they sell their brand by employing marketers who go out there to pull in customers. When this happens, when the customers are brought in in their numbers... The bank grows financially... The managers go home with fat pay cheques and the marketers who did the dirty job are given a tiny cut from the customers income, while the bank keeps the rest with continued promises of more for the marketers if they bring in more customers(more money). About churches, there's a slight variation as everyone is made to be a marketer, preach the word they say, win souls, sell the good news to people, convince them to worship with the church, where they are promised all the sweet things of life if they become members... When they eventually become members, they are made to pay tithes, offerings, first and last fruits, harvest levies, marital seeds et al... All of which enhances the frivolous and flamboyant lifestyle of clerics and their counterparts. More churches are built, schools, businesses, from which the lower chamber (the poor) of these churches benefit very little. And then the church urges them on, win more souls, your blessing is on the way, one more soul perhaps and the Lord Almighty might decide to embarrass you with wealth. This is just an observation, and is not in anyway aimed at denting the Bank's or church's image. |
