Mental illness is different from mental well-being.
Stress can affect mental wellbeing but it's not a mental illness.

We always tend to mix the two up.

Please answer frankly, Is "mental well-being" a mental health issue?

Have you considered exploring the underlying reasons why the anxiety exists so it can be dealt with professionally?

This is why you have therapists.

Medications can be very helpful, sometimes they do not need to be used as a first-line approach to health issues. All drugs are among xenobiotics. Xenobiotics are anything that gets into out bodies but that are foreign to the body. The body will generally approach it, cordon or confiscate it, break it down, neutralize, detoxify, and eventually evacuate it from the body. This process is long and often involve the liver and kidney.

If you constantly consume things that put so my work on the organs that are tasked to "cordon and clear", over time these organs can become hurt.

The liver for example is made up of cells that can regenerate after they are hurt. However, consistently hurting the liver, especially when the speed of the hurt is more than the speed of the liver to repair itself, the liver could become scarred and lose it's ability to function effectively.

This☝🏾☝🏾 can result in serious liver problems. If the delicate tissues of the kidneys are hurt, na wahala be that as well.

Please, medication do not need to be a first line approach, self medication is not adviceable too because of many reasons (e.g. pre-existing medical conditions of the person self-medicating, the possibility of unhealthy drug-drug interactions if the person is self-medicating while using other drugs or substances etc).

Consult a physician.

Talk to a therapist for issues around emotional, psychological, or behavioral health (which can include: Anxiety, Depression, Anger, Fears, Paranoia, Self-doubt, Self-esteem issues, Addictions, Self-Worth issues, Stress, Persistent difficulties around sleep etc). These issues can come up in love and relationships, career and academics, personal finances, routine responsibilities, health and well-being etc.

Google "Cyd sessions". They are experienced therapists.

Hi,

The person you quoted may not be entirely wrong.

Stress is a mental health issue. Mental health health doesn't mean "illness".

Mental Health exists as a spectrum, and can span from "healthy" to ”coping" to "struggling" to "disorder".

Also, the mind and the body are closely related. If the mind gets impacted negatively, the body could feel it and be affected. If the body gets impacted some way, the mind can get affected too (e.g. PTSD).

Hello,

Issues around sleep can have different etiology.

We often ignore the emotional, psychological or behavioral history that might have created a pattern of poor sleep. Please speak to a therapist (psychotherapist or a competent counselor). I can recommend "Cyd sessions". Google them up. They're even on Instagram @cyd_sessions.

Please refrain from delving into self medication. I wish you the very best in your quest for a lasting solution.

Cheers.

Health / The Cost Of Therapy (psychotherapy) In Nigeria by obmade: 5:08pm On Jul 24, 2022
The cost of psychotherapy/counseling is very diverse in the Nigerian market space. I'm not entirely certain what influences the final rationale for disparity in cost from practitioner to practitioner. But I suspect that, some of the considerations may be:

(a) Competence: This, alongside experience, may inform pricing. While competence can affect the fee demanded by a practitioner, I'm not entirely certain that (just like in other fields) a high fee is a guarantee that competence exists or that a lower fee means competence is absent. A bit more considerations may be going into these decisions.

(b) Possible comparison with pricing as practiced among certain circles or even abroad. Since psychotherapy services can be offered virtually, if a certain practitioner has a range of clientele who pay a certain amount, this might become a benchmark within which such a practitioner may be willing to accept and work by.

(c)The technicality required to competently deploy a psychotherapeutic modality: While I'm not advocating for super expensive fees, psychotherapy being talk therapy can sometimes be viewed as 'simply talk' between a practitioner and a client. However, there is a lot that goes into competently helping a person to find and hold unto helpful states of mind, plus learning to go on to manage helpful states of mind on a moment-by-moment basis without necessarily resorting to unhelpful coping strategies, or strategies that only soothe a person rather than help a person grow into becoming actually better for themselves and society.

(d) other considerations I may not be aware of.

Talk therapy is very important for people experiencing emotional, psychological, and behavioral issues. It is also very important for people who simply want to be able to go through every day with some level of maturity, responsibility and intention; being able to choose what state of mind they would prefer to predominantly live life by.

It is essential to have therapy reach everyone who needs such services. I also think that some form of funding pool may help support the efforts at affordable services. There are practitioners whose fees are not as high as feared. They probably serve a demographic who are accepting of their fees.

Hopefully, the issues around fees, funding and helpful partnerships around this sector can become something that can be worked out for the benefit of everyone.

Who ensures and guarantees balance within and around all of these? Who? Or are all these simply arbitrary events?

In my opinion, handling performance, the 307 beats the Corolla (LE and CE). I haven't driven the Corolla sport trim so I can not tell.

As for fuel economy, I used a single tank from Lagos to Abuja. I refilled when my tank was on red. N8,450 filled my tank @ N145 per liter. My experience of Intra-city consumption has however been on the high side especially with using AC.

Even a 307 IMO compares better in handling and other features. How do I know? I owned a 2009 Corolla 1.8L Auto LE. I also own a 307 EW10J4 5-speed manual 2.0L.

The Corolla needed serious pushing to attain 'somewhat' impressive speed. I journeyed with it between Abuja and Calabar, I was not impressed honestly. Engine oil: Oil keeps diminishing between oil change! So annoying especially if you use oils within the range of 5w-20(or 30). I experimented using 15w-50, oil diminishing reduced, but still happened, no sludge, no smoking. Corolla mechanics do need to update themselves on “oil control valves” and its functions. Many engines have died just because of this ignorance. Some even weld Camshafts, destroying the VVT functions that was intended. So sad!

Corolla resell ability is great. Spare parts however are annoyingly expensive. Every small thing “N20k” angry . Maintenance of a Corolla is not in anyway cheap!

The thief magnet thing is very true. I had my fair experience in 2018, gunpoint 7 pm in Abuja within township residential area!

Peugeot 307:
I drove mine from Lagos to Abuja. The performance and handling is far better than a Corolla. Acceleration is awesome and with ease. It takes bends at high speed better, without its nose dipping uncomfortably! No experience of diminishing oils even with 5w-30 grades. I used a single tank of fuel from Lagos to Abuja. N8,400 filled my tank, and tank was on red when I refilled. I did not use Air conditioning throughout the journey. And my average speed was 120km/h, roads are very bad in places, so I told myself 'no need'. Intra-town commuting, the fuel consumption has been unimpressive especially with the use of AC. Without AC, not that bad.

So far, there has not been thieves threat reported about the Peugeot or particularly about the 307. So . . . yaay! From enquiry, the spare parts on a 307 is interestingly affordable.

I am more at peace using it. For me, the only downside is intra-city fuel consumption, but for the power I get using it (138HP @ 6000 rev/m), no wahala!

How safe is it to use for starch?

It is positioned as an adhesive for inanimate objects in art or construction works.

what's the safety in applying it on clothing that a human will wear?!

tolustx:
For best quality starching, use Top Bond
Direstion of Use:
To starch a shirt for example, disolve a spoonful of top bond in very little warm water to ensure that d bond fully dissolves. When fully dissolved, mix with little more water but make sure the water u add is just enough for ur shirt to fully absorb without remainder. (i.e. No wastage and best starching).
When u have done d mixing, dip ur washed shirt into d starch mixture and bath it well in d mixture to mke sure it absorbs it fully, then glady spread it without squeazing any water off d cloth.

The best spreading posture/position is on green grass. This ensures that d starching is uniform and not just pronounced at d edges of d cloth.
Try this method and bring ur offering of thanks.

I would not return there.

I got the engine stripped open today. We saw that when the oil pump was changed, too much gum was used to seal the engine. Therefore, lots of gum particles was found to have clugged the oil pump sieve. Also, the grooves upon which the exhaust Cam sits, and through which oil passes to lubricate Cams/tappets were clogged at cylinder 3 (exact point where the rattling occurs). We had to take so many parts out in order to do a thorough cleaning (Oil control valve filter was also clogged). We didnt finish today. By tomorrow when we complete coupling everything, I hope by high heavens everything will be alright. I will keep you guys posted.

Thanks to all of you for caring to share possible clues.

Hello Nurey,

Thanks for your input. I recently replaced the two VVT sensors. Also recently serviced using 5W - 30 Castrol Magnatec. 4 days after servicing using 5W-30 castrol oil, I started hearing Tappet sounds mostly when engine is heated (afternoon/high sun). Tappet sound got louder over few days of driving. My mechanic suspected oil pump to be weak. He checked and got it changed. He set timing, and engine ran smooth. Only for Tappet sound to resume after about 5 days. I just tire, ignored it. Then enroute yesterday, engine stalled. I tried to start it, it would crank but wouldnt start. I waited aboout 15 to 20 minutes, and it started. Drove a bit and it stalled again. Waited 15 - 20 mins, started car and drove home.

This is my situation. kindly help please.

Bro. If your riders are going shopping, you need to determine the most time you can stay waiting! 10 minutes is fair enough, beyond that, negotiate for offline between 1k5 and 2k5 for 1hour depending on your vehicle.

You were receiving and canceling requests, what do you think would happen to your acceptance rate? This work is a pick and drop-off thing unless you are on hire (meaning per hour transaction). If not, at the end of the day, you might not be profitable to yourself and/or your partner (I car isn't yours).

"Hello dear, how far? How are you?"
"Sorry I couldn't call you yesterday night, I was tired after bathing. I fell asleep"
I was like "haa!". I sha maintained and held on to my steering wheel.
I think her boyfriend must have asked her where she was
"I'm going to Berger with my aunty. Today is her son's birthday; we want to pick some things for his party"

I looked around ... Maybe my GPS is faulty; we are on Allen Avenue. And where is the aunty, please? Am I her aunty? Oya give the phone to your aunty now, let her greet your boyfriend.
