Politics / 2023 Presidential Election: LP Candidate - Peter Obi Addresses Nigerians by Obojuju: 3:12am On Feb 23, 2023
Fellow Nigerians, it's 3 days to go and in my quiet moments I know that Nigerians are wondering what Peter Obi is thinking. I will share my thoughts here because I have Nigeria on my mind!

We are currently at a crossroads. We need a leader to show us the way forward. We need a prudent president, a principled president who has what it takes to lead. As we say in Naija: “We need person who sabi road; a person we go follow make this country better.” A new Nigeria is possible. We can make it.

We have national elections coming up next Saturday, on the 25th of February 2023. The presidential election is the most critical because we will be electing the next president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. It is the only chance to elect a leader of our choice. We must choose someone who can solve our problems. This is an essential and existential election. It is a make-or-break moment in our history. Future generations will not forgive us if we make a wrong choice. The person of your choice must have these four qualities minimally:

Character: A person with a proven record of fairness, honesty, and trust. We need an honest person with a verifiable background: We must know his real name. We must know where he said he schooled. We must know people who knew him then. We must know where he has been, what he has done, what he has said, and what he has been doing these past months during the campaigns.

Competence: Someone who has the proven capability and the drive to move us forward. The person must have the required skills and must show the physical and mental ability to manage the affairs of Nigeria. The president we need must present the correct image of Nigeria abroad and stand tall among his peers at the United Nations and other international forums.

Commitment: We need someone who is committed and has the capacity to stop official corruption in this country. We have heard far too many talks about change. Enough of empty promises! We are tired of hearing sorry stories. We want real changes, not endless pity parties and porous pledges.

Compassion: We want a leader who is concerned about the welfare of Nigerians, not his clique of praise singers. Our fellow citizens are in IDP camps. I spent Christmas and New Year with them. They should be home. People die daily, kidnapped, killed, and raped. No one in government offers actionable concerns. It must end. We need a leader with the courage to do whatever it takes to bring relief to our citizens in distress.

Let us perfect the federation of our forefathers. Every generation is destined to make the country better. The post-Independence generation has arrived. This is our turn. This is our time. This is our chance to make a difference. Making the same old choice will yield the same result. We are Nigerians. We are rational citizens. We make rational decisions. Let us keep a date with our destiny. Let us make a new nation for future generations. The world is watching. We must take our destined position as the giant of Africa. You and I know the right thing to do. The greatest lie one can tell is a lie to one’s soul.

If you are still undecided, please talk to yourself. Allow your conscience to guide you. No one is perfect but, ask yourself, “Should I choose someone I do not wish as a role model for my children? Be introspective. Ask: Could I live with myself for making the wrong choice just for few new naira notes or because of my region and my religion? I believe you will make the right choice and vote Labour Party: LP (Mama. Papa, and Pikin): The election is not about Obi and Baba-Ahmed. This election is not about our ethnic groups, African traditional religion, Christianity, or Islam. It is not about our sacred churches, mosques, and shrines. The election is about the future of this land that God gave to our great generation.

Why Labour? I will tell you.

We want to move our economy from importing and consuming products to producing, consuming less, and exporting more. That is the essence of Consumption to Production. Datti and I will work hard every day and with everyone. Many things went wrong in the past 24 years. There are enough blames to go round. We will not share blames. We will share hope. No more excuses. In life, what matters more is not what happened to us; it is what we do with what happened to us. Honesty is the best policy. We must be truthful to ourselves. Truth is the essence of life. I pride myself in striving to be an upright citizen.

I endeavour to do the right things. Fairness is the golden rule: do unto others as you wish them to do unto you. When I fail, I learn.
Our revered Chinua Achebe stated that our humanity depends on the humanity of others. We are in this world with great gifts. Our world presents challenges and opportunities. Challenges stimulate our creativity. We will use the opportunity of vast resources in our God-given earth to meet those challenges confronting humanity. The welfare of one is the welfare of all. My modesty is not words of mouth: I live it. We can feed off each other’s simplicity. By producing more and consuming less, we can balance our needs, not wants, and make society more equitable. It makes no sense fighting over issues that require rational thinking & good conscience.

I love this country. It is not perfect. Nothing is perfect. Perfection is a continuum. The labours of our heroes past must not be in vain.
Please come out and vote for Labour Party (LP). I Please subscribe to success, to the triumph of a tested, trusted, and verified leadership. Do not renew the subscription to suffering, to the sorrow of tomorrow. A new Nigeria is possible. Let’s make it happen like a TEAM: Together, everyone achieves more. These past months have been quite a journey. I have met millions of fellow Nigerians from all walks of life: men and women, young and old, rich and poor.

I thank our vice-presidential candidate, my brother, my friend and partner for coming with me on this journey. I thank the Obidients and my core team. History will record this campaign as the best: focused, friendly, mega rallies with no shịshị, respectful, and zero violence. Salute to all of us! We all made it happen: organically structured, passionate, united, and verified! I ask you, my people, to empower me as your president and commander-in-chief. I will be in charge. I have the requirements for correct leadership: character, competence, commitment, compassion, hard work, honesty, humanity, and humility. I have the courage and the heart with which to deliver the dividends of democracy freely and fairly to our people. Where we fail, hold me responsible; where we succeed, kudos to you. We can change this country. If it takes us making the supreme sacrifice, let us make it for a greater tomorrow.

I am most grateful that you found me worthy to take the torch and lead. I would not have come this far if you did not follow me. You are my strength, the wings that power the historic Obidient movement. On behalf of all our dedicated team, I promise to deliver on all core values.
These are my thoughts. This coming Saturday, let us promote the Family Value - by voting for the Labour Party— LP: Mama, Papa, and Pikin.

Vote Labour correctly, peacefully, and hopefully.

Labour Party: Forward Ever!

PETER OBI

Peter is will defeat Tinubu the druggie. Here is a new Nigeria with Peter Obi

FreeStuffsNG:

Lamba2023. Loriro

We both know it is a lie that that is a mini crowd of traders in an open market. Haba! What kind of lamba is that?

In that mini market crowd are buyers who got trapped in the improptu market campaign even though they are not voting for Mr Obi or supporting him/lp.

They are victims of the dictatorship imposed on them by lp supporters acting uncivilised by not giving them advance notice that they will be trapped in that market so they can visit another market to buy their needs.

This is why LASG and other states need to sanction the market leaders for the huge discomfort they cause the other users of the market.

This act of impunity is a cunny attempt by lp to cheat, shift from their infamous white canopies they use to cover large empty spaces at their poorly attended campaigns to now forcing innocent people trapped in markets to generate s false optics as if their campaign is real. It is a fraudulent way to decieve the less discerning just like their fraudulent pre election online 'poll'.

When lp fixed campaign in tbs, it was a colossal flop!

Compare that to the cashless Asiwaju's campaign yesterday inside El Kanemi stadium.MASSIVE AND EARTH-SHAKING!

40 POWER QUOTES OF PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE, H.E PETER OBI.

1. No nation can survive without saving for tomorrow.

2. The reason why we are talking about massive borrowing today is because we didn’t save yesterday

3. Nigeria is not a producing country. The cumulative effect of what we are suffering today is bad leadership.

4. Nigerians remain hopeful for a national rebirth, which implies returning Nigeria to Nigerians; farmers, teachers and students, lecturers, artisans, workers, pensioners and over a hundred million poor Nigerians who are not sure where their next meal will come from.

5. We have to move from sharing formula to production formula. All our young people in their productive age are not doing anything, so we are going to have a crisis.

6. Those who steal, if they come to church, they will give them front seats, so, why would they not steal? They are the ones who are given chieftaincy titles, they are the ones who get titles in the world. So, we need to change all that.

7. In the battle to retake Nigerian, the odds are great and seemingly insurmountable, but with our commitment, patriotism and understanding that we are doing, what we are supposed to do for our country, lest she shall die, we shall move on discontent with what is and focused on enthroning what ought to be. In doing this, our battle cry shall remain: get your PVC and become part of this great liberation!

8. Such a noble task [of restoring Nigeria to Nigerians] brooks no conscientious objectors. I hardly use war metaphors for political analysis due to my belief that politics is not adversarial and not war.

9. The issue of tackling corruption and reducing the cost of governance is simple as it will start with me and my family members.

10. There is no need creating an office of the first lady to pacify women, when I can make them handle critical positions in Nigeria.

11. If a man has not created wealth, he cannot manage wealth

12. I remember Ngozi Okonjo Iweala crying every day, begging us to save these monies for the rainy day. Most governors disagreed. They said let us share it. Now we are borrowing to feed.

13. I don’t have any single property in this country outside Onitsha. If you see any property outside Onitsha and they say it belongs to Mr. Peter Obi, burn it!

14. When you are borrowing for consumption, it gets to a stage when you cannot control it.

15. I beg you to participate more in politics, the society we help them abuse today will take its revenge tomorrow

16. If I sleep in a hotel and have to pay N250,000 a night, I will be awake all-night feeling like I was robbed.

17. The only way out of recession is to spend for growth. You can only spend for growth either from savings or from borrowing. The question is: what are you borrowing for? Are you borrowing for consumption or for production? When you borrow for consumption, you are heading for disaster.

18. I have never travelled abroad for medical checkup, even as a Governor. I won’t start now

19. We shall use percentages to share the Nigerian budget to the critical sectors like hunger, health, education, security, etc., before talking of the office of the president.

20. Unemployment is worsening. Our unemployment ratio moved from 14.8% in 2017 to 18.8% this year. This means that more people have lost their jobs. We can’t survive like this.

21. To you, young people, take back your country. It is your future they are toying with.

22. We cannot aim for skyscrapers when we cannot maintain simple toilets.

23. I am not desperate to be President, I am desperate to see Nigeria work

24. I am a Nigerian running to serve every Nigerian. I urge a show of respect for every candidate, tribe, religion, and person.

25. Whenever I hear of no structure, my answer to it is simple; the 100 million Nigerians that live in poverty will be the structure. The 35 million Nigerians who don’t know where their next meal will come from will be the structure.

26. Every Nigerian child must be prepared for leadership, and every Nigerian leader must work for all Nigerian children.

27. The common goal is to make Nigeria better. Elections are a democratic contest and need not be adversarial.

28. The society we abuse today will take its revenge on our children tomorrow. No country survives by recklessness and extravagance. Unless the present dangerous trend of governmental failure is reversed, the Nigerian child remains disadvantaged.

29. Nothing can be achieved with festering insecurity. Diametric security remains the bedrock of peaceful nations and thriving democracies. As we advance, proactive security will be crucial in regaining control of our communities. Government, for its part, must meet its responsibility to protect its citizens

30. But for bad governance, Nigeria has no business with poverty and unemployment.

31. Every part of Nigeria has the potential to grow and compete, but we are not doing that

32. As a nation, we cannot be insensitive to the ongoing bloodletting and targeting of the most vulnerable and helpless in our society. Security measures must be proactive and holistic, more so in areas close to ungoverned rural and urban communities.

33. No country grows economically with a 35 per cent unemployment rate, which, when combined with under-employment, will be 55 per cent. That’s a figure of 60 per cent of unemployed Nigerians being youths—the greatest asset of any nation.

34. We must begin to look at the history of people who vie for any political positions in our country. Where was the person 25 years ago? What was he/she doing? How has he/she managed wealth and other leadership positions?

35. It is time we shunned ethnic and religious sentiments and vote a Nigerian leader who will unite every section of the country and ensure the integrated development of the nation.

36. Nigerian women are assets that need to be put to good use. Let’s take a cue from Bangladesh, where the current and longest-serving Prime Minister is a woman. Their opposition leader is also a woman.

37. I have always sued for the support of small businesses. They are the engine of economic growth. With well-articulated fiscal and monetary policies, our small business sector will boom and catalyze the economy for more growth and development.

38. A father must leave a better place for the children. That’s why he sacrifices to make life better for them. That is what leadership should be.

39. We need the type of growth that will educate our children, and provide primary health care for all the communities. We don’t need development based on speculations that government officials are celebrating all over the place.

40. Nobody is talking about production. The country is not productive; that is why we are preoccupied with sharing. If we are productive, it will be very easy for Nigeria to grow and create jobs and do what others are doing.

FINAL THOUGHT…
Peter Obi is a good definition of an inspirational leader. His leadership style during his tenure as the Governor of Anambra State is a subject of leadership discussion, he has contributed immensely to the growth and development of Anambra State, Nigeria and Africa.
Vote Peter Obi as the Nigerian next President.

Politics / Re: Blind Woman Joins The Campaign Train To Receive Peter Obi In Jos by Obojuju: 10:09pm On Jan 20, 2023
Even the blind can really see that APC is an evil and wicked Party that should never be allowed again near the seat of power. All hands must be on deck to throw away these evil elements out power by the next month 25th of February presidential election. All those that are still supporting the party are doing so out of ignorance and some based on ethnicity and religion, and others for just selfish reasons. This evil APC has only one agenda which is to Islamize the country and impoverish the citizenry. God will not allow them this time around after 8 years of putting the citizens of this country through an excruciating pain.

The APC adopted the same faith ticket in a country that has never attained nationhood. These warnings were not only ignored but dismissed in one fell swoop by the APC presidential candidate who strangely believes that he can build a strong, secure and viable nation-state without first forging a shared identity, vision and values for our people thereby enabling us transit from citizens of a country into a nation of people with strong shared identity and values. This moves by Tinubu just for the purpose of playing religious card to win Muslim votes up North, if allowed to sail through, can only bring disunity and religious crisis in the country Nigeria.

In their convoluted posturing, APC have placed state-building ahead of nation-building; a task never before achieved in history and we need no seer to tell us that such endeavor is guaranteed to end in spectacular failure. No divided people have ever built any civilization.
To demonstrate that the church is right, it is not alone in condemning the same faith ticket. Other prominent Islamic clerics and Muslim leaders have also spoken in the same light. It is a good omen that both Christian and Muslim elites are not complacent over this matter.

Thank God, Christians across the Nigeria have a very good choice in voting Peter Obi of the Labour Party to power come 2023.
Peter Obi/Ahmed Datti ticket is the only choice that can truly restore peace and unify the country.

Contrary to what they want u to believe, the North is not monolithic, they are more heterogenous than the South. That is why they are appealing to Arewa’s primordial instincts. It explains the Muslim-Muslim Ticket. LP’s outing in Kaduna exposed their hypocrisy & fear mongering. That Igbo trader or Onitsha man (in their deeply bigoted voices) pulled an “organic” crowd in the political heartbeat of Northern Nigeria. Kaduna is in the North West. It is a completely different turf from the North Central (Obi’s stronghold). His network is expanding
Contrary to what they want u to believe, Northerners are a welcoming people. It is just the politicians that weaponize religion & tribe for their own use. Divide & Rule serve the greedy & the wicked. Bashir could no longer hide his aggressive bigotry, he had to let it jump out.
He deleted the incendiary tweet after he was called out.

Believe me, the PDAPC are genuinely afraid of Peter Obi’s Organic Movement. We know things beyond what we say on the timeline. In their small circle of Arewa Aristocracy, they whisper & discuss Peter Obi’s chances. El-Rufai in particular is the biggest loser here. In his mind’s eye; “Peter Obi must not happen, he shouldn’t be happening, he can’t happen.” But the bigot is not God. Power & wisdom, they come from God. Who is that mere mortal that want to challenge God? Let them come out

We have only love for Kwankwaso. We wish him all the best. It’s good we have him in the North holding down the fort. The more, the merrier. Nigeria is large enough to accommodate everybody. As for Tom & Jerry, PDAPC mutual assured destruction is imminent. It’ll be televised.
Both have equal amount of dirt on each other. The way they’re panicking & telling you Jack Robinson every day, that should tell you that Obi is winning this thing. They have done their math & discovered “X.” Peter Obi is the “X Factor.” He made the most impact in this election.

No one throws stones at a fruitless tree. NO ONE!! Peter Obi is Nigeria's Brand Ambassador & Marketing Manager; he has become your Global Negotiator Extraordinaire of all-time. International media & international community have noticed him. PAY ATTENTION!! THEY ARE SPEAKING
The PDP were so fixated on Peter Obi from the start, so they left their flanks wide open for the APC to attack. Reno (the slowpoke) even went on air & defended Tinubu’s FAKE Certificate, to spite Peter Obi. PDP Boys defended Chimaroke to spite Obi. But all backfired.
Every stone they threw at him, it returned back to them a thousand times. There was no way the PDP could have won this WAR OF NARRATIVES, not in a million years. Not when “thinkers” like us exist. Peter Obi left them, but he took the brightest/smartest influencers with him. PDP is left with just empty brains, maybe two intelligent minds. The rest are walkovers. Reno is not only a fool, he is unintelligent. I read his childish tweets & I hiss. He contributed to uncle Jonathan’s loss. Tolu Ogunlesi was always going to defeat the id*ot (in life & in death)

Now we eat Mikano Boys raw like sugarcane. The PDP threw the first punch way before the primaries. I & a few others stood our ground & fought back. We defended & promoted Peter Obi with vigor, until he became mainstream. We did all of that because it was the right to do.
We gave Nigeria & Nigerians the alternative. Given another opportunity, we will do it again. We cannot hand Nigeria over to either of the two old crooks. Peter Obi is the only option, the next president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. He is the only candidate we TRUST.

PDP & APC are panicking; Peter Obi is the man to beat. He is the only candidate with national acceptance. So allow them to fight their “Battle Of Thieves.” Between the two structures of criminality, between Tinubu & Atiku, let the bigger thief win their mudslinging challenge.
The constellation Gemini (Great Mythology) involves two identical twins: Castor & Pollux, inseparable in looks & in actions. Castor is PDP, Pollux is APC. If you see one without the other, then it’s bad luck. PDAPC are the Mythology of Bad Luck; conjoined in deeds & in words.
With no structure, no governor, no senator nor HoR member. No chairman nor Councillor, without their war chest, 4 people tweeting in a room catapulted Peter Obi to a leading frontrunner (within 8 months). Pat yourselves on the back, WE DID IT! We pulled off the unthinkable.

From the banks of River Niger, to the plains of River Benue, down to Mambilla & Jos Plateau, a Peaceful Political Revolution is underway. Camaraderie, Patriotism & Nationalism are reinvigorated. Nigerians are beginning to HOPE again. The land is green once more
A Dream written in Gold & said to possess an almost magic power that will transfer Nigeria for good. A man, not a Saint, is inspiring our new found Joy. What was impossible is now possible. Finally, Nigerians can live again. HOPE is Reborn; the IDEA whose time has come is here
February Poll is a make or mar election. Collect your PVC & fight!! Vote LP en masse. Vote, stay back & make sure that INEC TRANSMIT the result online. Do not vote & go home. We will spend all day at our polling units. Send OBIDATTI to Aso Rock, FOR THE GLORY OF NIGERIA!

Politics / Re: Workers Who Paused Work To Watch Peter Obi Speak In Chatham (Pictures) by Obojuju: 7:35am On Jan 17, 2023
8 REASONABLE REASONS TO ELECT PETER OBI

1. Peter Obi is averse to waste

At the root of the poor infrastructural development all over Nigeria is criminal wastefulness, corruption and inflated contracts. Road or rail projects that can be done with N2 billion are inflated to N20 billion. The consequences of this is that projects go on forever and funds that would have been used to do 4 or 5 projects are spent on just 1 project.

A very good example is the Lagos light rail project. It was conceptualized by Jakande in the early 80s but still remains uncompleted till date, even after 23 years of APC/Tinubu unbroken stranglehold of Lagos State.

2. The people's president

Of the 3 main candidates, only Peter Obi is banking on the power of the people to get elected. Tinubu and Atiku are relying/relied heavily on the support of the delegates (bought with dollars), governors, senators, house of representatives and other structures of their political party to get elected.

The consequences of this is clear. If Peter Obi is elected, naturally he will take decisions that will benefit the overwhelming majority of Nigerians who voted him to power.

Unlike the other candidates who if elected will spend reasonable public funds and time to reward the structures that got them elected.

3. A visionary president
In 2023, we need a president who, while catering for the current generation and solving the myriads of the current problems, also plans for the future, our children and the unborn generation.

A president who realizes that Nigeria will still be existing in 100 and 200 years to come and sets aside some funds for the future and unborn generations.

That is what Peter Obi represents, as he demonstrated in Anambra by saving some money for the future.

We do not need people who believe we should consume everything today and let the future take care of itself.

4. He is young, vibrant and energetic

With the plethora of problems plaguing Nigeria currently, we need a president that is relatively young, energetic and vibrant.

A president that has the physical and mental capacity to supervise the effective implementation of his programs and policies across all sectors simultaneously across the country.

A president with hands on approach on all the issues.

That is what Peter Obi represents.

5. A courageous president

We need a president who has the courage to take and implement critical decisions that can move Nigeria forward.

Peter Obi demonstrated great courage when he opted to be impeached as Anambra governor rather than deploy public funds to pacify the greedy lawmakers. It takes courage and conviction to take such risky personal political decision because the impeachment court case could have gone either way.

6. His message is clear and concise

His campaign message in all the media interviews has centered around reducing waste and moving Nigeria from consumption to production. This is very clear message that tackles the root cause of many of the problems bedeviling Nigeria today.

7. A president that communicates to Nigerians
So far, of the 3 main candidates, only Peter Obi has granted to several live TV interviews. It shows he is a believer in the power of communication. He believes you and I have the right to know.

Atiku only managed to grant a recorded interview while Tinubu has not granted any at all.

This time around, we need a president that has the confidence to speak to Nigerians directly about his policies and challenges if any. Enough of deaf and dumb Presidents, hijacked by cabals in Aso Villa.

8. A listening president

As governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi was always visiting schools, hospitals, etc to hear and feel the challenges. At some point, he gave his phone number to the school prefects to get direct feedbacks. This demonstrates that Peter Obi will be a listening president.

We don't need a president that will be hijacked by the Aso Rock cabal and only brought out once in 6 months to show proof of life.

In conclusion, 2023 presents another opportunity for you and I to choose a leader that will serve Nigeria and Nigerians in the next 4 to 8 years. For me, it is a very easy decision.

#ObiDatti 2023. Vote Peter Obi for a better Nigeria on the 25th of February 2023.

Politics / Re: Okonkwo: Obi Was So Stingy He Didn’t Share Any Question At Chatham House by Obojuju: 7:18am On Jan 17, 2023
The APC same-faith is a deliberate, well-calculated plan to sow the seeds of religious and social discord among Nigerians. It is obvious that Northerners, in particular, are the intended targets and victims of this satanic plan. It is an indisputable fact that the whole of Northern Nigeria is currently mired in several intractable socio-economic problems due to the activities of several nebulous criminal groups. Agriculture, the mainstay of the northern economy, is all but abandoned because kidnappers and bandits have prevented people from venturing out of the safety of their homes. Interstate and intercity travel for either business or leisure have all but ceased not only due to un-motorable roads but more so for fear of kidnapping, armed robbery and other forms of banditry. Our rural schools have all but closed for fear of kidnappers. Government-owned universities have closed thus depriving the children of the already impoverished Northern masses access to affordable higher education. Thus, our out-of-school and idle children have become easy targets for recruitment by bandits and kidnappers. And there is no solution in sight.

Then, out of nowhere this man Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a renown Yoruba-hegemonist, a man who championed the establishment of a Ministry of Regional Integration in each state government of the South-west geopolitical region which he bestrides as an emperor, and a man who was once quoted as saying “I do not believe in one Nigeria” (THISDAY, The Sunday Newspaper, April 13, 1997, page 9) comes up with a Muslim-Muslim ticket knowing fully well that religion is the underbelly of Northern Nigeria. APC’s same-faith ticket is a ploy to further sow discord among Northerners using the most potent weapon of social discord – religion. As Karl Max once said – “religion is the opium of the people”. Nigerians from all shades of the society must see this Tinubu/Kashim same-faith ticket as a proposal from the pit of hell that can only be conjured by the most Machiavellian minds known to man and therefore must be rejected wholesome by all lovers of our country and its nascent democracy.

On the other hand, Alhaji Kashim Shetima, Tinubu’s Vice Presidential running mate is a man who once said “restructuring my foot, let’s restructure our minds”. For eight years he presided over Borno State at a time when Boko Haram was overrunning the state almost at will and restructuring the minds of its victims against Christianity and western education. The kidnapped Chibok and Dapchi girls and many more are now slowly trickling out of captivity in the Boko Haram indoctrination camps fully Islamized and carrying children born into Islam in captivity – a true example of “mind restructuring” if there ever was one. There is also this little matter of an allegation of a very close relationship or otherwise between the Vice-Presidential candidate of APC and Boko Haram! And, which Christian can forget one Kabiru Sokoto the alleged Boko Haram kingpin accused of complicity in the Christmas bombing of St Theresa Catholic Church, Madallah that resulted in 44 deaths and 77 injured Christian worshippers? Or that the said Kabiru Sokoto was eventually arrested at his hiding place in the Borno State Government Lodge Abuja? Are Christians not justified in being scared of a government run by this duo?

Surely, APC’s same-faith ticket is intended to shame Christians and bestow on them and their religion a second-class socio-political status in their own country. In particular it is a validation of the discrimination and oppression being meted out on Northern Nigerian Christians where they are now denied employment, promotion, contracts, and admission to read prestigious and marketable courses in government-owned schools simply on account of their religion. It is no wonder then that Alhaji Bola Tinubu thinks that the Bible is a book of jokes from which he can freely construct his “jokes” like his “Poisoned Holly Communion” and “Speaking in Tongues” jokes. If he is man enough, I challenge him to ridicule the Holy Quran even once as he freely does the Holy Bible. This guy has no respect for Christians and Christianity at all.

This APC ticket goes against the grain of Nigerian politics which in practice (if not in law) has always sought to achieve a religious balance in its politics and governance. It is worth noting that all the other seventeen political parties fielding presidential candidates have gone the way of established conventions and practices by fielding different-faith tickets. Truly except for its incitement to social disharmony, there is no sense at all in APC’s same faith ticket. Furthermore, in our quest for justice and equity in the socio-political and religious space of the country, it is obvious that only the Obi/Datti ticket has the potential of speaking to the genuine clamor for power shift to the South-East and at the same time speak to the cry of marginalization by our people of the South-East. Obviously, a Christian/Muslim presidency like the Obi/Datti one will be most appropriate at this stage of our political journey more so since we are now transiting from a Muslim/Christian presidency. It will also achieve the regional shift of the presidency from the current NW/SW to a SE/NW presidency as popularly being canvassed. This is justice; this is equity. This is political engineering at its best and one that engineers peace and harmonious co-existence of the various socio-political and religious classes of our nation.

Nigerians should also resist the temptation of being ruled by the same set of courtiers who are recycling themselves, their children and their friends in a monarchal fashion, in and out of government to the exclusion of other segments of the society. This trend has resulted in these disastrous consequences in which we now find ourselves – impoverished, unsecured, divided, severely underdeveloped and massively unemployed with a widening gulf between the rich and poor of the society. A keen observer will not fall to notice that APC is a transmutation of Action Group/UPN that is dominated by the children or grandchildren of those who once run and ruined the Action Group while the PDP is a transmutation of NPC/NPN similarly dominated by the children or grandchildren of the people who once run and ruined the NPC. A government of either APC or PDP will only be a recycling of the same class of people who have been running and ruining the country from independence to date. Is it any wonder that Nigeria has remained static? The Obi/Datti will give us breath of fresh air and the greatest opportunity to redeem our country from the quagmire into which we have been plunged by a recurring group of self-centred reactionaries.

There is a also this palpable fear and anxiety over a possible transition of the current presidency from one Fulbe to another – same tribe, same religion, same region, same courtiers. This has given rise to a heightened fear of a possible perpetuation of a Fulbe hegemony in the country. Besides, there is the perception by many Nigerians that the Fulbe are the main actors in the banditry and kidnappings currently ravaging the country. Therefore, there is a widespread perception that another Fulbe-led government will not have the inclination or political will to address the country’s security challenges seeing as a majority of the perpetrators are its kindred.
There is also this perception that appointments by the current government are driven more by ethnic and religious cronyism than by Nationalistic considerations. This has given rise to a fear of a possible perpetuation of this trend by another Fulbe-led government. Both APC and PDP presents us with these horrible options. The Obi/Datti ticket possesses a great potential to wean us from these problems.

Finally, as the political campaigns advance towards the election dates, the tendency to divide the country along regional, tribal and religious affiliations is gradually beginning to manifest. We can see very clearly that the APC having woefully failed in its original plan to instigate a form of jihad which it had sought through its same-faith ticket in order to capture the Muslim votes, has now resorted to a tribal card. The battle cry is now “it is our turn” tribal card in the South-West. The PDP on the other hand, seeing new opportunities in APC’s failed jihad strategy is tending towards adapting both the religious and ethnic strategies of APC in the North.

Buhari who was brought to power by Tinubu and their APC govt in the last 8 years have created inequality, in terms of income and opportunities, which remains high till date and has adversely affected poverty reduction. The lack of job opportunities is at the core of the high poverty levels, regional inequality and nepotism, and social and political killings and total collapse of security across the country. High inflation has also taken a toll on household’s welfare and high prices of goods in 2020-2022 are likely to have pushed an additional 18 million Nigerians into poverty from the World Bank report.

The election of Peter Obi as president in February presidential election will certainly restore hope and bring the country on the pedestal of growth again which has been lacking since Nigeria returned to democratic rule in 1999. Let all Nigerians vote wisely for a better tomorrow or else die in suffering and abject poverty.

The choice of life or death has been given to Nigerians and they will make a big pronouncement on the 25th of February 2023 by electing Peter Obi as the next President of Nigeria. That’s the option taken by Nigerians. Buhari has taught us bitter lessons that every Nigerian is now wary of everything concerning Tinubu or APC. We want an emergence of a new Nigeria now like never before. Tinubu should save his rotten image and support Obi and the world will celebrate him and acknowledge his good sides because his bad sides stink like soak away. He has not understood Nigerians want his money but don't him like him as a person or for presidency. His Muslim-Muslim ticket has fueled silent revolution that even affected his state election. He is pressed like Agege bread in the south by Obi being a Christian and in the north by Atiku being a landlord. What's his expectation? The odds are dangerously against him.

He should be wise enough to understand the handwritings on the wall and redeem his image. The only option he has is to do the daring and support Obi since the north has used him to destroy APC. He will thank me later for following this advice. Nigerians don't celebrate hunger, pian and division, we want a Nigeria built on equality, justice and peace.
Nigerians this time around as a matter of urgency are voting the new breed, Peter Obi/Datti Ahmed for a new Nigeria. God bless Nigeria!

Atiku and Tinubu have assumed positions in the country, and they are still stubborn political grasshoppers and do not want to relinquish power to the youths. Nigeria can regain her political problem if all these old brigades are pushed out of the system. Nigerians will never forgive themselves in 2023 if they make the costly mistake of retaining these old brigades. Tinubu should be apologizing to Nigerians for the calamity he brought upon her and not coming out to contest for presidency. He has no shame but I assure him he will disgraced at the polls next year. After the monumental disaster called Buhari, Nigeria cannot afford another leader whose driving motivation for the presidency is to merely fulfil a lifelong dream. Tinubu has a right to pursue his ambition but not at the expense of poor and long-suffering Nigerians already counting down to the days when Buhari’s nuisance will be escorted out of Aso Rock. The 2023 election should be a turning point. Recruiting another bumbler like Tinubu as president jeopardizes that chance. We can all agree that Nigeria deserves better than a candidate without a viable record of administrative success beyond the cheap propaganda retailed in the media and parroted by those who do not listen to their own thoughts

Peter Obi is the man Nigeria needs at this critical time when the nation is in dire need of good governance. Good governance is NOT hard but past governments like PDP and now useless APC has made everything appear elusive. Over the past two decades, a thin consensus has been emerging on what countries should do to foster economic development & growth. The consensus revolves around 3 building blocks; Human Capital Development, "Needed" Infrastructure and Leadership by example. Today, Peter Obi is head & shoulders above all with regards to the awareness of the 3 building blocks needed to foster economic growth for a country - all thanks to his updated Education and sound knowledge of world affairs. When he talks about the feat made by countries such as Singapore, Thailand etc.. PO used this framework as a governor and he is ready to use it at the national level. Public servants should be focused on serving the public - not any special interest group, & good governance should be an expectation - not an exception. Not surprised that the FIRST building block of the global framework for economic growth is HDI. Human capital fuels economic growth & contributes significantly to higher labor productivity. It's also crucial for innovation & the absorption of ideas from around the world. No country can grow without an accompanying commitment from its govt to investing in human capital. Aside PO, none of the major contenders has boldly profess his commitment to a principle of PEOPLE DEVELOPMENT then infrastructure. Aside PO, none of the main contenders has spoken against why young graduates with laptops are profiled criminals when we should invest in them more.

The Obi/Datti will give us breath of fresh air and the greatest opportunity to redeem our country from the quagmire into which we have been plunged by a recurring group of self-centered reactionaries.
