quickberry: So, a V.P is not at the helm? Do you even know the meaning of helm? Perhaps you should provide me with its definition and see if you don't crucify yourself with your own words. A V.P is not at the helm. He is just a subordinate. |

Aystarz: Damn! I shed a tear reading the above. What manner of malady would make anyone vote APC again in an election! The thought alone is an aberration. I fear for the people I share citizenship with. Such deformed thinking. A man tried first and failed woefully. He was given a second opportunity and performed even more terribly. And some people are still willing to give him a third chance..to do what actually? Finish up what he couldn't do in two tenures?? |

quickberry: All these were caused by PDP's maladministration for 16 years which your Atiku was part of Prove me wrong. 3/4 of the people who brought APC to limelight and kept them there were part of the 16 years of maladministration under PDP. One critical point remains; none of these years had Atiku at the helm of affairs. |

oladele00: *OBASANJO, WHO IMPEACHED ABOUT 4 IGBO SENATE PRESIDENTS IN 4 YEARS IS NOW THE SPOKESPERSON OF THE IGBO!* This same Obasanjo helped in the massacre of over 3millions igbos in 1967.. Igbo's will never learn Obasanjo is the spokesperson of which Igbos? I hate to make this collective, but you have a problem of deep thinking. Maybe it comes from your ability to frequently switch sides at any whim. Sincere apologies to the smart Yorubas on this forum, but you are a bad representation of your kinsmen. When Obasanjo allegedly tore up his PDP membership card and switch sides pre-2015, how did that affect our choice? In Igboland and Igbo-populated areas in Nigeria 2015, we still held our grounds and made our choice clear. Now that Obasanjo has come to his senses and decided to come back and united choices with us, we should change our choice because of HIM who has been gallivanting from one end to the other? Maybe he helped massacre a lot of Igbos. That is Biafra's problem with Nigeria and will be seen as such. |

Voting out Buhari today is a legacy to your children; Born and Unborn. Some of those problems are things we can solve with our own efforts, but this government has consistently negated our individual endeavours and developments. It is not a choice between APC and PDP. It is a choice between Buhari/Osinbajo and Atiku/Obi. Granted we have different other promising candidates, but it's better we throw our weight behind heavyweights Atiku/Obi than a random gamble in others. A wise man once told me. When things become bad, you either move forward or go backwards; but don't you dare repeat the same mistake and expect a different result.

venai: Just five minutes after I accepted my secondary school class mate friend request on Facebook, she started begging for a recharge card from me. So I asked her the denomination of card she wanted, and she told me to send any one from 1k. I felt very bad but I sent it to her anyway. I felt like blocking her but controlled my anger. Till today, I have refused to chat with her or reply her messages.
Even if you need help, there is a better way of going about it instead of online begging. You no get papa? Even if you no get, you get hands and legs. If you no get, use your brain. Think and grow rich. Very simple. Same here. I sent her a message since 2011. She replied it 6 years later and shortly begged for 2k. I sent it sha and that was our last convo. |

WORDWORLD: # bolded is a statement for those who refuse to grow in HONESTY so as to be HUMANE. It's not about being human but being humane. A state which requires deliberate and conscious effort to achieve.
I have not the least disputed the narrow perspective the op has presented a "FACET OF MANY FACET" which of course it is TRUE.
What I did was a presentation of another "FACET" so as to make us see CLEARLY that such a political motive by the op doesn't solve the Nigerian MALADY unless an HOLISTIC view as possible without BIAS, PREJUICE, SENTIMENTS, NOT LIVING A LIE.
Hence, I presented the coup speech which ousted the Shagari government of which the reasons stated still remains today's malady unsolved and will never be solved unless we choose to be HONEST in solving our problems.
Is it UNTRUE that despite the 1985 coup to correct wrongs it still remains a constant the Nigerian MALADY unsolved by the 1985 coup plotters?!
Is it UNTRUE that despite the transition of government from Military to Civilian rule since 1999 the Nigerian MALADY still remains unsolved?!!!
WHY?!!!
The answer is,
THE CHOICE OF LIVING A LIFE OF LIES, OF SELF DECEPTION.
Now, this is a UNSENTIMENTAL DIAGNOSIS of the NIGERIAN MALADY all wrapped Up.
"It appears to me that the causes of the last Civil War lie embedded in the nether realms of such degrading and depraving evils as unemployment; mass ignorance; endemic and debilitating diseases; low productivity; abuse and misuse of power, bribery and corruption; favouritism and nepotism; ethnocentricity and TRIBALISM; much poverty and much discontent."
Let me enumerate them for more CLARITY.
1. UNEMPLOYMENT 2. MASS IGNORANCE 3. ENDEMIC AND DEBILITATING DISEASES 4. LOW PRODUCTIVITY 5. ABUSE AND MISUSE OF POWER 6. BRIBERY AND CORRUPTION 7. FAVOURITISM AND NEPOTISM 8. ETHNOCENTRISM 9. TRIBALISM 10. MUCH POVERTY, MUCH DISCONTENT.
Guess what, that was an address made in 1970 to the Nigerian trade Union by Chief Oba Femi Awolowo. You will find that quote in THE VOICE OF COURAGE, 1981.
The language that counts is not Yoruba, Hausa, Igbo, English or Arabic but.................... TRUTH.
Until we begin to act TRUTHFULLY, being HONEST in all our doings NIGERIA is going NO WHERE.
NIGERIA IS WHAT IT IS TODAY BECAUSE THE ONLY LANGUAGE WE MOSTLY SPEAK IS LIES AND OUR WAYS OF LIFE IS LIES VERY MUCH INSTITUTIONALIZED.
Now, I urge you to reflect upon the below quote.
"If you look at history, even recent history, (of the world) you see that there is indeed progress (but not Nigeria). . . . Over time, the cycle is clearly, generally upwards. And it doesn't happen by laws of nature. And it doesn't happen by social laws. . . . It happens as a result of hard work by DEDICATED people who are willing to look at problems HONESTLY, to look at them without ILLUSIONS, and to go to work chipping away at them, with no guarantee of success — in fact, with a need for a rather high tolerance for failure along the way, and plenty of disappointments". NOAM CHOMKSY
Tick-Tack there is no time for EMPTY RHETORICS. Your country keeps dying everyday from the stabs it recieves from the DAGGERS OF LIES. COMPLIMENTS OF THE SEASON. I'LL READ THROUGH THIS EPISTLE IN MY SPARE TIME. YOU JUST WON'T GET A REPLY ON IT; THAT'S IF YOU WERE EXPECTING ONE |

A case of one step forward, fourteen steps backwards With the way they're going about their duty, one can't help but believe it's one of the witch-hunting tools available at the ruling party's disposal. They do whatever their paymasters bid, and look for cheap media trials to salvage their beyond repair image Just look at the embarassing affair recently involving EFCC and Union Bank. In their bid to appear relevant, they exposed one of the lesser-known means of transporting cash around Nigeria without attracting undue attention, despite CBN having knowledge of such. Is Union bank or CBN now too obscure to contact for information before zooming off to Channels TV for recognition? But a certain man who employed a similar means of transportation of foreign currency is roaming free because he's one of the paymasters. |
