FreeStuffsNG: O pari. The coupists lule pii! They are now under the bus. ISIL is cancelling Mali and today killed a lot of Mali soldiers heading to Niger while Russia just told them diplomatically that they are not supporting the coupists. They have lost support of France, Nigeria, US and the nations that give them indirect access to the sea. Nigeria has switched off electricity, Ecowas has blocked their banking channels and no plane can fly over them from the South. Niger coupists are on OYO. Without firing one bullet, they just got humiliated.
Like I stated earlier, Nigeria can not fight a war with Niger, we are brothers but can we chase out the coupists? Yes we can. Russia will rather have Nigeria as an ally than Niger which is mostly dry land and the poorest of the poor nations on earth by HDI. You really don't know anything. In Vietnam war Russia was not involved, but they provided armaments and military advisers. The statement is a just yo deflect attention to what Russia is going to do. NATO will also say the same thing as well, but all are playing the game behind the scenes. |

The few military hardwares they have were dashed to them by Nigeria and their military recieves training here in Nigeria. It's only naive to suggest that we will use war to chase away these impostors. They have lost!
Their deadline is this weekend but trust that Nigeria is not waiting for the deadline sef. Check my signature for free stuffs! Please keep quiet stop saying things you don't know. Niger has a defence pact with France and they get their weapons from there and not Nigeria. When we have not finished arming ourselves, it is Niger that we want to arm. In 2016 during the Boko Haram offensive the F16 from Niger were the ones doing the most damage to the Boko Haram guys against the outdated Alpha jets Nigeria has. Tribe or where criminals come from doesn't and shouldn't stop you from condemning criminal behavior, before talking about tribe, first condemn criminality
The fact is, the concept of condemning criminals and criminal behavior is strange and foreign to Igbo people, you just won't do it, it's not part of your DNA.
It's a sad reflection of your Low self-esteem and victim mentality.
It's the same reason why you and your leaders including Obi won't condemn or say anything against terrorists in Igbo land, you even support and defend them.
This is why terrorists control the whole of Igbo land , this why you are all sit at home slaves.

FoolishBoy419: Absolutely. If they are arrested for committing crime here, they will say it's the result of bad governance. When they go to "saner climes" and are arrested for any crime, they still blame bad governance or racism. If someone from other tribes surpasses them (e.g Dangote), they cry quota system. When you talk about terrorism in their land, they point at the north and tell you to focus on that. In politics, they chose to fight everyone instead of form bridges and now they are crying victimhood even though anyone with half a brain knew the election was between Atiku and Tinubu. In South Africa, they sell drugs and when attacked, they cry xenophobia and call South Africans lazy and whatnot (which is true but still not an excuse to sell drugs to them). The case of that Jamb girl who falsified her result is still fresh in our mind.
I have never seen northerners and SouthWesterners denying the shortcomings of their people but Igbos? Nah. They only love to claim being the "superior African race." Freaking Nazi wannabes you will not shut up until you are arrested. |

casualobserver: Please read to comprehend, i know we have a general problem with English in Nigeria. Global pharmaceutical companies have a fundamental problem. Most of their drugs are out of patent and they are competing with generic manufacturers either locally in Nigeria or imports from india. The well heeled may decide to buy augmentin for N10,000 but in a poor country the man on the streets who constitute the majority is not going to buy augmentin for N10,000 when he can buy the same drug (amoxicilin) for N1,000. If you dont understand that very basic and simple concept...........then I cant help you.
Even the mighty NHS imports its drugs in the form of generics (i.e out of patent) from india
https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/blogs/staying-alive/britain-is-doing-big-pharmas-bidding-and-harming-itself-by-trying-to-curb-indian-generics/
I am sure you can read the above, whether you are able to comprehend is another matter. Dude stop trying to rationalize bull shit, Glaxo is one of the best pharmaceutical companies in Nigeria and for them to leave is an indication that all is not well. HNICEARTH: Well done mr. Ignoramus.
Dont digress into GSK selling off a portfolio and all that. That's not the bone of contention.
Your line of arguement is that a big company like GSK having a staff strength of 290 is poor. Dont run away from that. I still went ahead and schooled you on what were the basic rudiments in production. We've been there, we've done that.
The type of you will never succeed in production. Send a proposal to BOI with this mentality, and see how it will be trashed with the speed of light.
However, I will still go ahead and engage you in your new line of arguement. GSK nigeria has a production plant in nigeria. The organisation is managed by nigerians. Most shareholders are nigerians and the company is a player in the NSE. you are now comparing such an organisation to a one man business that import drugs from india or china and give to graduates on the streets to sell. You are definitely on kolos
First of, importing from india and china means we are outsourcing jobs to china and india. We are not adding to value to the production line. We only succeed in keeping Indians and chinese employed. Same time wasting our hard earned forex while making india and china richer. Those companies that import from china and india, pls mention any one of them that is a player in NSE-none. In Nigeria pharma industry, GSK are basically at the top when it comes to staff enumeration and welfare. They are top shelf. None of those mushroom companies who import pay their staff as half as GSK. Not to talk about car policies for the field reps and other welfare packages.
No matter how expensive their brands are and the competition there in, they still remain the brands of choice in all states and federal teaching hospitals, in all FMCs, in all boutique private hospitals and in all boutique pharmacies nationwide. Their business model was never to sell to 200m nigerians, they are out to service all the elites. That's why their products are best in class I wish i can like your comment a thousand times. These guys just devise a strategy from their WhatsApp group to counter any attempt at showing Nigerians the true picture of the economic situation we are in. |
Health › Re: Glaxosmithkline Ends Operations In Nigeria, After 51 Years by obyno82: 4:14pm On Aug 04, 2023 |
casualobserver: My friend you are the ignoramus. GSK globally as a company has been having problems for a long time. There drug pipeline and drugs under patents has been shrinking. They even had to sell their Lucozade and Ribena business some years ago to help restructure their business. Like I said the problem with GSK is they don’t have enough drugs under patent. Stop viewing g everything Nigeria as bad news. You should be celebrating that Nigerian companies are effectively competing with foreign pharmaceuticals to they point where our local companies are driving them out of business and keeping the profits in Nigeria.
Name a drug/vaccine GSK sell in Nigeria and I will tell you the generic equivalent either manufactured in Nigeria or Imported from India.
This pull out is not about Nigeria but about the uncompetitiveness of GSK.
Like I said the fact that a local pharmaceutical Fidson has a staff strength of 219 compared to the 280 for a big multinational GSK with all their power and might tells you they never had or had lost market share in Nigeria.
Be it pharmaceuticals, FMCG we should all be celebrating that local manufacturers are coming of age and driving the multinationals away. Be it things like yoghurt, soft drinks, beer, medicines, soaps, edible oil, foodstuffs etc, Nigerian manufacturers are coming of age, holding their own and beating the multinationals and driving them out of the country. Please tell me which Nigerian pharmaceutical company can compete well with GSK, please do not mention Fidson because they themselves too are also in this shit situation as well. |
