No fewer than 130 cultists have renounced their association with various cult groups in Ughelli, Ughelli North Local Government Area, Delta State....


The former cultists relinquished various dangerous weapons such as battle axe and knives which were in their possession as well as identification cards and vests bearing the names of their groups.

The renounce exercise was carried out during a church service held at the palace of the Ovie of Ughelli, HRM Oharisi III at the instance of a socio-political group, the Rainbow Concerned Citizens of Ughelli Kingdom and the traditional ruler.

Speaking during the church service, Oharisi III advised the former cultists never to return to their nefarious activities to enable them attain whatever height they desired in the society.

He said the group had the backing of the kingdom in its quest to flush out cultism from the kingdom. Coordinator of the Rainbow Concerned Citizens of Ughelli Kingdom, Mr. Elvis Abarovwe said the body was out to sensitize youths in Ughelli on the need to desist from cultist and criminal activities.

He appealed to the State and Local Governments and well meaning individuals to assist the group financially to enable it achieve its set objectives.

A 27-year old driver has been arrested and charged before Apapa Magistrate’s court in Lagos for allegedly having sex with his girlfriend, a 23-year old Lagos State Polytechnic student, Thelma Lawrence, and posting her nude photo on the internet....


Henry Aiyenero allegedly committed the illicit act in his house at Ajegunle, Lagos State, southwest Nigeria.
Aiyenero who works at Ifelodun Local Council Development Area, LCDA, as driver was said to have humiliated his girlfriend that way because she allegedly denied him sex for a long period.
Delta State-born Aiyenero allegedly lured the victim to his house at 9, Ogungbe Street, Ajegunle where he allegedly threatened her with a knife and forced her to strip herself.
Thereafter, he used his mobile phone to take her nude photos and also recorded it on video and threatened to post it on the internet if she refused to have sex with him.
The victim allowed him have his way but he went ahead and posted it on the internet and gave the video to his neigbours to watch.
He was charged before Apapa Magistrate’s court on a five-count charge bordering on criminal intent under the criminal code.
According to the police, the defendant deliberately and unlawfully, with criminal intent, intimidated, annoyed and violently threatened the victim with a knife and had sex with her and thereafter, he displayed her nude photo on the internet.
According to the victim, she knew Aiyenero in Ajegunle where a street is named after his.
She admitted that they are friends and not lovers and whenever they met, they usually greeted and discussed but not to the extent of having sex.
She said whenever he talked about sex, she usually turned it down.
On what took her to his house, she said he collected her memory card and when she needed it, he asked her to come to his house to collect it.
She said she did not suspect any foul play and when she went to collect it and entered his room, he immediately locked the door, brought out a knife and threatened to kill her if she did not coperate with him.
“He ordered me to pull off all my clothes while still holding the knife and I obeyed him and he brought out his phone and started video-taping me while I was nude and threatened that if I refused to have sex with him, he would post it on the internet,” she narrated.
She said he had sex with her and still went ahead to post it on the internet and sent it to their neighbours who watched it and told her.
On why he did it even after sleeping with her, she said Aiyenero said she refused to sleep with him after pleading with her for a long time.
On his part, Aiyenero said she was his friend and she has been coming to his house and later they separated.
He admitted that he recorded and took her nude photographs but he was not the person that posted it on the internet.
When he was arraigned in court, he pleaded not guilty.
The presiding Magistrate, Mr P. E. Komonanya granted him bail in the sum of N20,000 with one surety in like sum.
The matter was adjourned till 4 September, 2013.
He was remanded in prison custody pending when he will meet his bail conditions.

A statement by the university’s Public Relations Department, on Monday, said the latest “web-o-metric ranking was conducted by a world renowned research council, Cybermetrics Lab, which is based in Spain.”

Signed by the Head, PR Department, OAU, Mr Abiodun Olanrewaju, the statement said the university was ranked 14th best in Africa in the last rating done by the research council, adding that university has, however, moved six steps up the ladder.

Explaining that the latest ranking was done on Monday, August 5, 2013, Olanrewaju stressed that it underscored the premium placed on research, development, learning and teaching by the Prof Bamitale Omole-led administration.

According to Olanrewaju, the vice chancellor has commended staff and students of the institution for the cooperation enjoyed by his administration, saying peaceful environment aids learning.

Once named by Maxim as one of the hottest porn stars in the world, Jenna Presley performed in more than 275 pornographic films, stripped for money, sold her body in prostitution, abused drugs and even tried to kill herself – but now the young brunette stunner says she has found her true calling in life.

Presley, 26, whose real name is Brittni Ruiz, said, “It’s been a long seven-year journey of porn, prostitution, stripping, drugs, alcohol and several failed suicide attempts.”

Ruiz, who struggled with anorexia in high school, was reportedly raped when she was 14 years old.
At the young age of 15, she began a career as a topless dancer in Mexico.

By 18, she performed in X-rated hardcore movies, shooting two and three sex scenes a day for $900 each while she was in college. She won numerous top industry awards for her work.

In an interview with Adult FYI, Ruiz said producers told her she was beautiful.

Upon filming her first sex scene, she recalled, “I felt so loved that day because I was put in hair and makeup. I was told I was beautiful. I was going to be a star.”

She said they made her work relentlessly because she had a very young look. The producers dressed her in children’s clothing and pigtails.

“I already looked like I was 12,” she recalled, adding, “It’s disgusting how they can portray you as a little girl. It’s complete perversion.”

But the industry began to have a devastating impact on her.

“It left me feeling drained,” she said. “I was so robotic, I was like a rubber Barbie doll. I had no emotions. … I was no longer Brittni. I became Jenna Presley. I had an alter ego.”
So Ruiz turned to drugs to numb her pain.

Then she attended a church in San Diego and met a man. They began dating, but he was beaten to death in front of her at a Las Panchos restaurant by members of a motorcycle gang.

“He got murdered, stabbed in front of me,” she said.

The trauma of the incident derailed her faith, and Ruiz began abusing drugs again and tried to kill herself.

Then Bleep Church, an outreach ministry that focuses on helping people leave the porn industry and fight porn addictions, found Ruiz at a porn convention. The Bleep Church distributed hundreds of Bibles and declared, “Jesus loves porn stars.”

Ruiz filmed her last sex scene in November 2012. She gave her life to God this year and left the industry. She now works for a limousine company.

“It was seven long years,” she told Adult FYI. “I hated what I was doing, but I wondered what I would do next.”

Looking back, Ruiz recalled, “I never found love in my life and was looking for it in all the wrong places. … I have finally encountered the unconditional love of God, and I will never go back.”

Lagos Prostitution Camp Where Underage Girls Are Recruited

MARTHA is a 15-year-old girl endowed with beauty. But she faces a very bleak future as she is held captive in a brothel in Gbagada, a suburb of Lagos, where she has to sleep with men old enough to be her father and surrender her entire earnings to a woman designated as her aunty. In return, the aunty gives Martha a sum she deems sufficient to cater for her basic needs.
The more than two decades old brothel is located close to Sawmill Bus-stop in Gbagada. In it resides a cartel of mature prostitutes called aunties, to whom younger girls like Martha are responsible. The older prostitutes act as guardians to the younger ones aged between 14 and 19 years. Most of the girls are said to have been lured to Lagos from Edo and Delta states by their aunties. With a promise of the good life, the girls follow the aunties to Lagos only to be lured into prostitution.
The cartel's mode of operation is similar to those that have been reported about innocent Nigerian girls lured into prostitution in Europe. The girls, who are mostly from poor parental backgrounds and broken homes, serve their aunties for as long as two years before they are deemed matured enough to stand on their own.
A source in the hotel told our correspondent that for a newly recruited girl to become a member of the prostitution ring, her aunty has to pay the sum of N50,0000 to the proprietor of the brothel as registration fee. After that, the aunty makes the young girl to sleep with older men. All the proceeds from her intimate activities go to the aunty who decides how much is returned to the young girl as "pocket money".
Our correspondent visited the hotel on a sunny day last week and met one of the girls named Martha, an indigene of Delta State. She was decked in a gown that barely covered her backside. Like a famished tigress, she rushed towards the reporter, offering him sex. After a brief discussion, she led the reporter to the brothel's bar and was quickly joined by three of her colleagues.
Martha was the first to order for a bottle of a popular herbal drink called Alomo Bitters. With promise of a long-term friendship from the reporter, she opened up on her past and her dreams, narrating how she became a sex worker in the hotel.
Surprisingly, she doubles as an apprentice hairdresser, hoping to settle down into hairdressing business someday. But for now, she is under contract to serve her aunty for 11 more months, during which she must hand over her entire earnings.
Martha said: "My aunty is very nice. She gives me money, depending on how much I make in a day. I am from Delta State, and I am learning to become a hairdresser. I will leave next year after my service. After that, I will open a shop and become a businesswoman."
It took her no time to finish her drink and order for another bottle. At this stage, the discussion became livelier, as the four girls freely talked about their lives as prostitutes in the brothel.
"I am very brave," said Martha, beating her chest as she spoke. "I can take on as many men as are available at a time."
But going by her confessions, she is an endangered species. Besides the meager nature of her income, she is daily exposed to the danger of being defrauded or physically assaulted by the men that patronise her. Only a few days earlier, she lost her cell phone, which she said she bought for N32, 000, to a client from whom she had only reaped N2,000.
She said: "The man stole my phone after paying me N2,000. I called the number and he picked it, but claimed that the phone belonged to him."
Asked if she was not afraid of contracting HIV/AIDS, she said she had received enough lessons on how to protect herself against sexually transmitted diseases and other dangers that come with her trade. She said apart from insisting that her clients must wear condom, she had been taught not to get carried away when entertaining them.
"The first thing they taught us was that men are cunning, and that we should be very careful with them. We also go for medical check-ups regularly. But one thing is that we don't sleep with men without condoms," she said.
Martha is not alone in this modern day slavery. She has a partner in soft-spoken Janet, an indigene of Edo State. At 17, the second child in a family of seven says she took to prostitution because she wanted to make a success of her life.
In her barely audible voice, she said she was forced to go into prostitution because her elder sister was not discharging her responsibilities towards their parents. She is expected to gain her freedom in November, when she would have served her aunty for more than one year.
She told a pathetic story of the events that led her into prostitution, saying that unlike Martha, she plans to go back to school.
"I want to go back to school. I came here because there was nothing else for me to do. But once I finish serving my aunty, I will leave this place completely and make sure that I go back to school," she said.
Interestingly, Janet is in the business with her cousin, 15-year-old Pat. Evidently more daring and outspoken than her two other colleagues, Pat declared that she wanted the reporter to have a relationship with the three of them. "I like you. If you no mind, all of us fit be your friend," she said, her colleagues nodding in affirmation while she continued to do justice to the bottles of Climax energy drink in front of her.
A quick tour of the brothel revealed that it contained 54 rooms, each allocated to an aunty. While a first-time visitor would only notice the front gate and the rear gates, a closer observation would reveal other entry and exit points.
The arrangement of the rooms makes it difficult for a non-regular visitor to master the terrain. The source at the hotel said the arrangement was meant to conceal the activities of the prostitutes.
According to the source, 14 of the rooms are allocated to teenage prostitutes while the rest are occupied by their older and more experienced aunties.
At Room 19, a busty lady, probably in her 30s, sat on a stool by the door. Asked why she was idle at that time of the day, she said she was waiting for prospective clients, adding that business had been dull because of the Ramadan period.
She jumped up at the reporter's suggestion of a deal. After a quick negotiation, she agreed to take N750, down by N250 from the N1,0000 she demanded initially.
A visit to Room 32 revealed that the occupant was one of the aunties named Faith, from Edo State. She agreed to give a younger girl to the reporter for a fee to be agreed. But she argued that she was capable of anything the younger girls could offer.
Upon the reporter's insistence, she dashed to Room 30, where some of her girls were sleeping at the time. The lot fell on 19-year-old Sarah, who quickly went to another room to prepare the bed.
The innocent-looking girl felt disappointed when she returned moments later and was told that the reporter had changed his mind, but with a promise to come back later in the evening. She ran back into the room, ostensibly to steal a few minutes of sleep before another client would come knocking.
Such has been the lot of the young girls in the brothel. They take care of the intimate needs of their clients at night and give the proceeds to the aunties. Yet the little time they have to rest or in the day time is repeatedly punctuated by clients who stroll in, in the day.
A funny incident had occurred at the brothel the previous night. Encouraged by the hotel source, the reporter had stormed the hotel at exactly 8:30 pm, hoping to take pictures of the girls' activities. One needed no one to tell him that one had stepped into an 'unholy' ground. From one room to the other, both the young and the old prostitutes showcased their 'wares' with skimpy dresses.
One of them named Jessica said she had been expecting a customer for more than two hours without luck. The reporter's arrival therefore gave her the hope of making some money, which she said had been scarce since the commencement of Ramaddan. Jessica, who claims to be a mother of one, lamented the lull that had occasioned the fasting period. She also said she had been unlucky with her love life.
According to her, she had her child, who is now 11 years old, after she was put in the family way by her boyfriend. The man later denied the pregnancy, leaving her and her poor family to cater for the boy.
She said: "I was in JSS3 at the time, and I was too young to understand anything. So, when I became pregnant, I told my boyfriend about it, but he denied it and ran away. That was how I stopped going to school. After about two years, I came to Lagos to hustle. One aunty then introduced me to this business."
But in spite of all that she has been through, Jessica insists she has no regrets about her past. "What is there for me to regret now?" she asked rhetorically.
It is now more than a decade that Jessica took the unholy path of selling her body for money, but both joy and wealth, the twin reasons she opted for prostitution, have eluded her. Rather she has had an unsettled life, with no decent home or man to call her own.
While denied having any regret, it was obvious that Jessica was not the happiest of women. Her expectations from the trade were far from being met. Unfortunately, she has no other profession to turn to.
She said: "Let me confess, I thought I would have made it more than this. At a point, I even tried to travel to Italy, but the aunty who wanted to help me stole all the money that I saved. She asked me to bring N500, 000, promising to take me to Italy. I was able to raise about N400, 000, which I gave to her. But after that day, I never saw her again. If I didn't lose that money, I might have stopped this business by now."
For Jessica and the other young girls in the brothel, the future looks bleak. What with their meager daily earnings, most of which they spend on feeding, medicals and fairly used clothes. Whatever is left in the end cannot guarantee the flashy lifestyle that prompted them to go into the trade.
It is no longer a secret that more than one thousand Nigerian girls are trafficked to different countries by prostitution rings in Europe every month. The unholy trade has assumed a height never seen before in the last decade, with Italy as choice destination.
However, recent investigation has shown that the crime is gradually declining in Western Europe following strict laws on illegal migration and the efforts of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP).
But while the fight against the international prostitution rings may be gaining momentum, with relative success, locally-based prostitution rings are devising a model fashioned after the Europe-based rings to lure young and innocent girls into the world's oldest profession.

Hell was let loose at Umualianya kindred Umumpe, Umuevu Okirika-Nweke in Ahiazu Mbaise LGA of Imo State last Monday when a man, Mr Mathias Nwoko and his female Cousin, Angela Ihuoma Anyanwu, met their untimely death while making love to each other....

Sources in the community told 247ureports.com that the late Mathias, 45, had returned home from his Onitsha base to attend the priestly ordination of his kinsman, Rev. Fr. Anayochukwu Onuoha, held at Mater Dei Cathedral, Umuahia, Abia State last Saturday June 20 2013.

It was learnt that all through the ordination ceremony, Mathias and the late Angela were literally tied to each other, with the latter taking the front seat of the former’s jeep.

Their entanglement was said to have continued the next day, Sunday, during the ceremony marking the first Holy and Thanksgiving Mass at Holy Ghost Parish, Umuevu Okirika-Nweke.

The deceased were also seen together at the ordination reception and later at the compound of the new priest where they were dancing to the music coming from Mathias’ car’s loudspeakers, while he occasionally was shooting gunshots from his pump action gun as Angela fed him with cartridges.

Interestingly, the deceased cousins were among family members who received prayers from the new priest, who earlier enjoined the people of the community to shun hypocrisy, atrocities and other iniquities if they must avoid God’s anger.

The late Mathias who was said to have been married for 13 years without any child, however, returned home with a young girl as his fiancée who he left in the house.

It was gathered that while the fiancée was home watching videos and waiting for Mathias, he only returned around 11pm and told her to go to sleep while he collected torchlight to see Angela off to her house.

But that was not to be as the duo diverted to Mathias’ semi-completed building.

Worried by her daughter’s non arrival to the house, Angela’s mother called her phone line but Mathias was said to have answered the phone telling the woman that her daughter was with him.

Also, alarmed by Mathias’ absence in the house up till Monday morning, his fiancée began to look for him within the house and was shocked to have stumbled on the naked but entangled bodies locked in death.

She immediately alerted Mathias’ family members who could not believe their eyes. Also, Angela’s mother who was returning from Morning mass was simply speechless at the sight of the deceased.

The lady who was on top of the man had her blouse on but naked from the waist region while the man had his singlet on his neck. The two were dead.

Their bodies were removed and deposited at Holy Rosary Hospital, Ogbor Nguru in Aboh Mbaise LGA.

A supposed Saudi princess claimed yesterday that she is so wealthy she has splashed out almost £1million on perfume in the past two months....
Her spree has created an Aladdin’s cave-style display of opulence which has to be seen to be believed, the High Court heard.
Sara Al Amoudi is accused of being a one-time penniless Ethiopian prostitute who posed as a princess to swindle London property developers Amanda Clutterbuck and Ian Paton out of luxury flats worth £14million.

But yesterday the mysterious ‘princess’ – whose age has been given as between 31 and 45 – wept in court as she assured the judge she had never been an impoverished prostitute, that her wealth was genuine and that she had been on the shopping sprees to prove it.
Miss Al Amoudi, who arrived at the London court in a Rolls Royce with numberplates reading ‘HRH’, told judge Sarah Asplin her shopping addiction was so serious she had sought medical help.

In heavily accented English, Miss Al Amoudi said: ‘I have a problem with shopping – I go to doctor. In the last two months my perfume, only the perfume – $1.4million (£912,000). I can show you the pictures.’

Miss Al Amoudi arrived at court in a full burka and five-inch platform heels.
At the suggestion of the judge she removed her veil in the witness box, but still attempted to keep her face hidden from onlookers.
She claims she had an affair with her alleged victim Mr Paton, 45, behind the back of his lover and business partner Miss Clutterbuck, 56, and that he borrowed and stole some £5million of pocket money she received from Saudi Arabia.

She also insists that when six exclusive flats in Knightsbridge and Chelsea were signed over to her name, it was simply repayment for his thefts and loans.
But Mr Paton and Miss Clutterbuck say she swindled them by pretending she had millions to invest in a massive property project – allegedly claiming to be an estranged wife of Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah, 88 – and are demanding £14million from her.

Yesterday, Miss Al Amoudi insisted ‘in the name of Allah’ that she was an honest woman given some £10million in cash by her family in the past decade.
She claimed she kept money hidden under her bed and entrusted Mr Paton with half her cash for ‘safekeeping’, and insisted her only problems were wild spending.

Miss Al Amoudi said: ‘I’m afraid I’m addicted to spending money, and get through enormous amounts of cash. I can easily spend £50,000 to £100,000 in one spree.’
At any one time she would have ‘a minimum of £100,000 and sometimes £400,000’ stashed under a piece of carpet beneath her bed, she said.
She added that in Saudi Arabia she was considered ‘like a criminal’ because she had an adulterous relationship, so her family had to send her pocket money in cash stuffed into suitcases.
Miss Al Amoudi claimed she married at 13 to a man she refused to name, saying that he was now a threat to her life and that of her 13-year-old daughter.
But she claimed her ‘lover’ Mr Paton took advantage of her and that now he and Miss Clutterbuck were lying about her.


Miss Al Amoudi said: ‘They say I’m a prostitute. It’s not true. I swear to Allah I’m not liar.’ She said Mr Paton was a drug user. He denies taking crack cocaine.
Miss Al Amoudi was accused by a male model boyfriend in a previous criminal case of having regularly drunk herself into a stupor at nightclubs.
But yesterday, when asked by Stuart Cakebread, barrister for the plaintiffs: ‘Do you drink?’, she said: ‘I will not answer this question because I’m a Muslim woman.’
The court had earlier heard witness Negat Ali, an Ethiopia-born south London furniture dealer, claim the defendant was a former prostitute originally from Ethiopia.
She claims she came forward after seeing a picture of Miss Al Amoudi’s unveiled face in the Daily Mail.

Barcelona have announced that Gerardo Martino is set to sign a two-year contract to replace Tito Vilanova....


Martino, who led Newell's Old Boys to the Argentinian Clausura title last season, has been appointed after it was announced on Friday that Vilanova was stepping down after a recurrence of his throat cancer.
"FC Barcelona have reached an agreement to appoint Gerardo Martino as the new coach of the football team for the next two seasons. This agreement is pending the drafting and signing of the contract," a club statement read.
"In the coming hours [a programme will be planned for] his arrival in Barcelona, signing the contract and the subsequent presentation."


A number of coaches had been linked with the vacancy at the Liga champions, including Luis Enrique, Andre Villas-Boas, Marcelo Bielsa, Michael Laudrup and Guus Hiddink, who resigned as coach of Anzhi Makhachkala on Monday.

The club said on Tuesday morning that Martino’s flights will be organised in the coming hours and the contract would be signed on his arrival, before Barca officially present their new coach.

Martino, who is also known as 'Tata', will become the fourth Argentine to take the reins at the Camp Nou, following in the footsteps of Roque Olsen, Helenio Herrera and Cesar Luis Menotti.

Sport claims that Barca’s new boss will bring over three members of his coaching staff — assistant Jorge Pautasso, fitness expert Elvio Paolorroso and Adrian Coria, a coach who trained Leo Messi during his time at Newell’s youth academy.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has hinted David Moyes risks disrupting Manchester United's season if he delays Wayne Rooney's possible exit....


The Blues had an opening offer for the wantaway striker immediately rejected last Tuesday and are expected to return with an improved bid.

And Mourinho suggested an over-long transfer saga could affect the "balance" of a team very close to the start of the season, or even after the new campaign has begun.

"It depends on the philosophy of each one," Mourinho told reporters at a press conference in Jakarta. "The sooner you have the players the better. You know the squad you have, you know what you have to work with, you have time for that.

"But, yes, he [Moyes] is right. The market is open until September 2 and many clubs are waiting to the last moment to make their decisions, and those decisions affect a number of other clubs.

"The one who sells has to go and buy, then they have to buy to replace, so no club is safe. Until the last minute, a club can go there and 'steal' a player. I don't mean steal a player, but steal the balance that a manager has when he's working with a team.

"In that aspect, we are okay because we don't have players to sell, so none of my players is leaving under any circumstances. Many teams will be under pressure until the last moment without knowing how the squad is going to be."

Mourinho, though, denies he is playing "mind games" with Moyes over Rooney, adding: "If to say my colleague in United is a great coach, deserves success, deserves time to work, didn't win trophies at Everton because it's difficult to win trophies there.

"If that is playing mind games, what would you say if I spoke bad about him? The best thing is not to speak, and if I don't speak."
