Osun State Governor, Mr. Rauf Aregbesola, has described the former governors of Osun and Oyo states, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, and Chief Adebayo Alao-Akala, as rascals...


Aregbesola spoke during the inauguration of a new Governing Council for the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, on Friday.

Referring to the ownership tussle over LAUTECH, which boiled over between the two states during the tenure of the two past governors, Aregbesola described the tussle as one fuelled by ego and rascality.

Despite being members of the Peoples Democratic Party, Oyinlola and Alao-Akala were locked in a fierce battle over who would control the university, which was co-funded by both states in the early 1990s.

Alao-Akala had sought to make the university in Ogbomoso the sole property of Oyo State while ceding out its Teaching Hospital and College of Medicine to Osun, a move which Oyinlola rejected.

The battle, which was taken to the law courts, was resolved when both Oyinlola and Alao-Akala lost power to Aregbesola and Governor Abiola Ajimobi of the Action Congress of Nigeria.

Aregbesola, who delivered a speech titled, ‘Towards Excellence,’ said universities across the nation must proffer solutions to the challenges confronting the society, even as he called for their proper funding.

He said, “The Yoruba race is one. LAUTECH was one from the outset until the coming of these people. There was amity between the two states even after the creation of Osun (from Oyo State).

“They (Oyinlola and Alao-Akala) threw the university into a turmoil.

“They wanted to divide us through utter ego and pure rascality. We thank God that they have been swept away and will never come back to desecrate this revered portal anymore.”

He said the greatest challenge before the Nigerian society was the inability to transfer knowledge and effect positive change.

He, therefore, charged universities to evolve solutions to unemployment, food insecurity, lack of electricity and potable water.

The governor, who warned that the administration of the universities must not be left in the hands of politicians, stressed that university education should make graduates job creators and not job seekers.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ajimobi, who said members of the council merited their appointments, added that Aregbesola and himself shunned personal ego and aggrandizement in resolving the ownership crisis between Osun and Oyo.

“A good leader does what the people want but a great leader takes his people to where they ought to be,” Ajimobi said.

He said although the people of Oyo State wanted a university, it was not in the interest of education and the memory of the late Premier of western region, Chief Ladoke Akintola, for the university to be localized and divided.

But the Chairman, Osun State Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Gani Olaoluwa, rose in defence of Oyinlola, saying Aregbesola was not sincere in his assessment of the former governor’s role in the ownership crisis.

Olaoluwa said, “What Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola did to ensure that Oyo did not take the LAUTECH patrimony from Osun is clear for everyone to see.

“Oyinlola went to court and insisted that the joint legacy belongs to both Osun and Oyo. If Oyinlola was rascally as claimed by Aregbesola, he would have allowed Oyo to take LAUTECH.”

Nemesis has finally caught up with an Alhaja who goes on robbery operation despite being about 7-month old pregnant for her second husband.....

Alhaja Sherifat Asabi Ojeleke was arrested with Samson Giwa, Matthew Ineke and Gbenga Oyedele. They are currently singing like a canary in the detention cells of the detectives attached to the Special Anti-robbery Squad (SARS) of the Lagos State police command.

Alhaja and the three other suspects were arrested for their roles in trans-border armed robbery operations. The gang members usually invade Lagos and others South-West states from Cotonou, Republic of Benin and went on the prowl in search of posh vehicles.

The 35-year-old Alhaja who claimed her parents hail from Ilorin, Kwara State capital, but had for many years stayed in Cotonou to make ends meet, said her second husband, Gbenga Ojuoye, who is responsible for her seven-month-old pregnancy, introduced her to armed robbery.

“I was once married. In the first marriage, I was blessed with three children, including twins. My first child, Mujidat, a female is 16 years old, but I divorced my first husband.

“I deal in local herbs in Cotonou. I prepare herbs for married ladies who are looking for the fruits of the womb. It was in that process, I came in contact with Gbenga Ojuoye, who I knew to be a member of the National Union of Road Transport Workers at Owode-Yewa area of Ogun State. We met at Owode-Apa two years ago.”

We gathered that the police is at a loss on whether to commence her prosecution or not, due to her being heavily pregnant.

Although snoring appears to be a private habit, a medical expert, Dr Ayotunde Fasunla has warned that it should not be overlooked; saying heavy snoring can lead to sexual dissatisfaction among couples....



Dr Fasunla, a consultant Ear, Nose and Throat surgeon, gave the charge in a faculty lecture he gave at the College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, Oyo State entitled: "Snoring: The Untold Story".

The medical expert, stating that most people ignore or pretend their snoring problem does not exist, declared that when snoring causes a couple to sleep in separate bedrooms, this may encourage infidelity or unfaithfulness.
According to him, "snoring can lead to a decrease in sexual drive thereby leading to sexual dissatisfaction by the partner. This may encourage infidelity or unfaithfulness."
The medical expert, describing snoring as a sign of obstruction of the airway that actually prevents the snorer from breathing adequately during sleep, declared "acknowledging snoring is a responsible choice and taking steps towards finding a solution can be very liberating."
Given the inadequacy of breathing during sleep, Dr Fasunla warned that snoring could have both night time and daytime consequences on health and longevity.
According to him, "the loss of sleep associated with snoring may be related to a serious medical condition called sleep apnoea. It puts people at higher risk of developing hypertension, stroke, irregular heart rhythms, heart failure, bedwetting and impotence."
He added that at day time, snorers' ability to perform tasks involving memory, learning, reasoning and mathematical processes are usually impaired.
Dr Fasunla, however, declared that snorers when awake were likely to experience morning headache, irritability and feeling of burnout, poor memory and concentrations skills, excessive daytime sleepiness, unexplained fatigue, dry mouth and poor job performance.
On what had been identified as factors why people snore, the medical expert attributed this to gender, age and the genetic makeup of the individual.
Although males are more likely to snore than women, he said that snoring is more common in adults over 40 years of age because of diminishing muscle tone, especially in the neck, and increase in body weight as age increases.
The medical expert, however, posited that some causes of snoring could be readily controlled or altered by a change in lifestyle or habits, adding that in some cases, medical or surgical intervention might be required to control or solve the problem of snoring.
He highlighted lifestyle adjustment required in controlling mild or moderate snoring to include cutting down on body weight, changes in sleeping position, increased exercises, avoidance of alcohol and tobacco use and some medications at night time.
Dr Fasunla, noting that snoring may be a sign of an underlying medical problem, stated that people that snore heavily need to be evaluated by an expert to detect any associated life threatening disorder as well as get treated.

It appears the CEO of Morgan Entertainment is not telling us all the truth he knows about the death Igbo rapper, Obiajulu Nwozo, famously addressed as MC Loph and his only sister, Chinwe...

Recall that in one of our previous posts, we served you a story of how former Morgan Entertainment MD, Obi Madubogwu, accused the label CEO, Emeka Morgan Nwanne Oguejiofor of allegedly using the late MC Loph and only sister for rituals.

Further investigations by myemag.net has proven that there are other people joining voices with Madubogwu to label Morgan a ritualist and being responsible for the death of the rapper. They are no other persons than the late rapper’s mum and his fiancée, Ngozi, who was the only survivor of the accident that claimed both the life of the rapper and his only sister.

In an exclusive chat with our correspondent, who reached out to MC Loph’s mum via a phone conversation, the aged woman, we also learnt suffers hypertension, lamented almost endlessly of how Emeka Morgan abandoned her and the late rapper’s son, after making a pledge of placing her on a meager salary of 30 thousand naira monthly.

According Mrs Obiozor, “Emeka Morgan killed my only son and daughter, left me childless and handicapped. Since Obiajulu died, the only time I set my eyes on the so-called Morgan was in May 2012, when he came with Obi Madubogu, gave me a bag of rice, a gallon of groundnut oil and 60 thousand naira and asked me never to allow Nkiru (MC Loph’s wife) to have a share of the money.

But I couldn’t, I gave the money over to Nkiru after he left and it was used to fix the Camry with which she does most of her run arounds in Lagos. Since then, he had neither called nor checked on me again.”

Contrary to the rumour which went agog in a section of the media a few months ago that Emeka Oguejiofor, the owner of Morgan Entertainment adopted late MC Loph’s son, Mrs Obiozor stated categorically that Morgan is a liar and will not go unpunished.

According to her, “is it possible to adopt a child you have not set your eyes on since he was born? Probably he adopted Obiajulu Jnr in his dreams or imagination. I heard the rumour too, but all I can say is that God will judge him both in life and in death; he will never know any peace in his lifetime, for shedding the blood of my children whom I know did not wrong him in any way.”

Meanwhile, myemag.net further checks revealed that late MC Loph’s family, which consists of his uncles and other extended family, avoids Emeka Morgan with every sense of consciousness. An insider insisted that the family have not stopped accusing him of being responsible for the death of the rapper and his only sister.

According to him, ‘Emeka Morgan is not clean and we the entire MC Loph’s family strongly believes he is responsible for the death of our children. For instance, shortly after the accident and doctor’s confirmation that Obiajulu’s wife was pregnant, we decided that she should stay behind in Lagos and not travel with the family to the village for her husband’s burial, but Morgan insisted that she must travel by air to Awka, which the entire family frowned at and resulted into a face-off with him until he eventually succumbed pressure.

“The question is why must he insist on Nkiru’s presence at her Obiajulu’s burial, if he had no ulterior motive? In one occasion when he, Morgan visited MC Loph’s mum last year, he was bent on knowing where Nkiru was seated when the accident happened and how come she managed to survive an accident that claimed the lives of every other occupants of the car? Does it not tell you that this man probably wanted everybody in that vehicle dead and buried, but for God’s intervention?

“In reference to recent events that happened following the death of Obiajulu, we now know that his death his not natural, we may not have a voice, or the money to fight Emeka Morgan, but one thing is certain, God will continue to judge him’ our source concluded.

With the current situation of things, obviously, Emeka Nwanne Oguejiofor (Morgan), might have some questions to answer, but the big question is who will ask the question? When and how?

For the records, MC Loph and sister both died in a ghastly motor accident on September 14, 2011 along Ore road, on his way to the village for his traditional wedding, which eventually didn’t hold.

It is one thing to be humorous and another thing to add a comic feel to whatever it is you are doing. These are two separate things. Comedy sells.
Sex also sells, can you do a sex movie?
I can't do sex movie. I feel that for the kind of society we are in, understanding will be difficult. Again, because of my faith, I will have to be very careful. I can imply, but I can't do the graphic things or either shoot them as a director; but I can imply. I can do kiss scenes or romance scenes but I probably will not do the actual thing.
Why do you frequently change your looks?
First, what I always tell people is that life is short, so let us try a bit of everything. Again, I do it for roles that I play, just to have something different. Sometimes I try to do it for a character.
What influences your fashion style?
Honestly, I don't know, but when I am stepping out, I try to look okay. Not the best but okay.
How have you been able to stay scandal-free?
I come on set and try not to make anything look too difficult. I respect my wife and family a lot. I'm very playful. I just think I'm motivating too many people, family, church, so many things. It is not by power. Many people who 'mess up' don't do it because they want to, but because it just unfortunately happened. And you just hope it doesn't happen to you someday. I always say I'm not a saint. I can say the wrong things and do the wrong things but I try to make sure that my priorities are right and the stakeholders are not disappointed. They are my church, my faith, my family, my wife.
How religious are you?
I'm just someone who believes so much in God, I believe in Jesus so much. If you want to call it born again, call it. Everyone is born again. I'm just one who believes strongly in the Christian faith.
Is there a clear cut difference between Desmond on set and Desmond the family man?
I should think so. As a family man, I play the role of the daddy, husband, man who has to take responsibility. On set, it is work, like you are going to the office. You have staff, people who take orders from you and those you take orders from. It is distinctively different.
How I met my wife?
She is pretty much my best friend. She was schooling in the University of Jos, in the early 90s. She was studying mathematics and we were in the same church. We were in the same drama group and choir as well. I have always known her, not for anything but as Sister Victoria.
What attracted you to Sister Victoria?
You would not believe it, but it was because she was totally different from me. I'm an extrovert, the very outgoing, talkative kind of person, while she was very calm and different. She was very 'I must enquire from the Holy Spirit before I do anything'.That gave me a kind of spooky feeling; and maybe that was the attraction. I was totally different from her and she gave me a hard time. When I asked her out, she did not think I was the one. I want to believe I wasn't spiritual enough for her. But eventually, we dated for eight years and have been married for 10 years.
How long did it take you to get her to your side?
It took a while. I remember one time after vigil in school, we were going home. She used to live close to where I stayed. On that day, she said, about that thing you said, I don't think it will work. It was heart-breaking then. I was pretty young. It is fun looking back at it.
Do you tease her for being like that to you?
We haven't done that in a while. I tease more about the animals I gave during the wedding – the goats and cows. I did something really funny that day, I sewed a dress for the goats and dressed the animals in them. So the goats had something to wear, like a monkey jacket with buttons. We tease about that a lot.
What is the craziest thing a fan has done to you?
Kiss me. That to me was crazy. She came to me, asked me to smile, I did and she saw my broken tooth. She then said, 'he is the one' and kissed me. I pulled her off. That was a while ago.
If you were not an actor, what would you have been?
I'd probably be in the bank. I love counting money. I love money too much.
What do you dread the most?
I dread a lot of things but among the top ones, I dread disappointing people. I dread being a failure. I can't fail. You might stumble many times but always rise again. I always take a cue from the guy who discovered the electric bulb. He tried a thousand times over and failed but when he tried again, he got it right. I really hate to fail. Circumstances around me sometimes look vague and difficult but I take it up as challenges. I really hate failing.
Which of your kids would you say reminds you of yourself while growing?
Denzel. He has my fingers, these ugly fingers. He has my lips, he is very unsettled. Of the twins, he came out first. He is the older one. People tell me he is just like me. He is the impatient one. He is that character.
What were you like growing up?
I was quite calm. I have a very strict mum. She is a mum that if you were that stubborn, she would take you to the police station, up North in Jos. My mother did not care who you are. She was very tough. There are five of us by my mother and I was the first child while my father has 11 children. I'm the sixth for my dad and the first from my mother. I was calm because of the training. You could not hear my mum's voice and not shut up. Things have changed these days. Now you would be talking and a four-year-old would talk back; you couldn't do that in those days, not with my mother. She has a lot of influence even in the way I 'train' my kids, which is different from the way my wife does. My wife is more of the talking to the kids type, I'm more of the 'I would spank you' type. A bit hard, the stick and carrot kind of training, but she is more of 'don't touch the child'. I'm not that patient.
Comparing how your mother trained you and how she is training your kids, would you say she is calmer now?
She is calm but some days back, they went to visit and my mum had this long cane right in the living room. I asked her what it was for, and she said, 'this is it, let me see them misbehave'. It is still the same thing but she is way calmer. There is no much stress like before. I have an awesome relationship with my mother.
What's the last fashion gift your wife got you?
She got me some lovely African fabrics for Fathers' Day and I'm taking it to Yomi Casual. She also has a good eye for watches and bracelets. Good watches.

security man and employee of First Bank Nigeria Plc, Jibowu Branch, Seyi Jaiyeola, is standing trial at a magistrate’s court in Ebute Meta for allegedly breaking the company’s automated teller machine and stealing a sum of N12, 533,900....

The bank’s branch Service Manager, Mr. Kayode Aiyewunmi, who gave evidence in court, said Jaiyeola was on a N20, 000 monthly pay and was a member of the Odua People’s Congress.

He said the company had observed that one of the bank’s four ATMs was having a reconciliation problem and had employed the service of an expert to help unravel mysterious disappearances of money.

Aiyewunmi said, “We discovered that there was always a shortage of cash in the machine.

“Despite our reconciliation efforts, the ATM was still having problems and we engaged the service of an expert who submitted his report and said the machine did not have any reconciliation issue.

“He said somebody was breaking into the machine in the middle of the night to steal the cash.

“I reported the matter to my boss, who said I should conduct an investigation into the matter. “When the last breakage happened, we went to play back the branch’s CCTV, and we now saw Jaiyeola in the middle of the night, opening the window at the back of my office. There’s a control panel which controls the security door, which he touched. So, the CCTV stopped.”

He said it was at that point the company concluded he was the brain behind the theft.

SEGUN OLUGBILE and SODIQ OYELEKE narrate the dramatic story of a 22-year-old student of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State, who just gave birth to a baby inside one of the toilets in her hostel....

When the news first broke, a lot of people vilified her. It was reported that she wanted to get rid of what many would describe as a bundle of joy. People thus wondered why a 22-year-old undergraduate would try to flush away her baby in one of the toilets in Moremi Hall, her hall of residence at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State.

Without clarifying the circumstances that led to the delivery in the toilet, they went on to social media networks, putting on trial Miss Oyinlola Rotimi, the 400-Level student of Agricultural Extension and Rural Sociology at OAU, who delivered a baby boy on Wednesday.

While the news went round the campus, the traumatized young mother was hurriedly taken to the institution's Health Centre by two cleaners, Mrs. Shipebi Grace and Mrs. Cecilia Ologbenla. The social media was further flooded with stories that Oyinlola wanted to kill her baby. The OAU management investigated the matter and found out it was not true. Rotimi, who was discharged from the hospital on Friday, has also narrated her own side of the story.

In spite of the trauma she had passed through since last Wednesday, the student, a native of Ijabe, a border town between Osun and Kwara states, says she is happy that the embarrassment she received from the controversy that surrounded the birth of her baby has turned into a blessing for her.

She says the baby's birth has made her more popular and important in the society.

'God has the best plan for me'

"Why would I flush or kill my baby after going through the pains of carrying him for about good nine months? I am not heartless and I thank God for my life and the safe delivery. I know God has the best plan for me and my baby. I seriously appreciate the cleaners for their assistance because I got here (health centre) before I understood everything that happened to me. I am happy that I am alive and my baby is alive too. I'm also using this opportunity to thank the VC, the doctors and nurses, my lecturers and everybody because they all stood by me. They all became my father, my mother and everything to me.

"Right now, I can call myself a celebrity and definitely I'm going to be greater than a celebrity. My baby too is going to be great. Look at the circumstance that surrounds his birth, just some days old, he is already all over in the news around the world and everybody is happy to see him or hear about his story. He will surely go beyond where I am now. He has turned me into a kind of celebrity. "

Circumstances surrounding the baby's birth

"I was purging all through the night and I had no idea of what labour pain was all about. Actually, I was feeling pressed, I can't call it a labour pain because I was visiting the toilet all through the night till that morning. I just went to the toilet to go and purge when I noticed something just came out of me which I found out was the baby. The baby entered the closet. I was just there shouting, bleeding and people who saw the blood came out to help me alongside the baby.

"I was really scared! I was not expecting a baby. I went to the toilet but seeing a baby was terrifying because I was not expecting him or her to come out yet. It is absolutely not true that I took to my heels when people came to help me. It happened in Moremi Hall toilet and the toilet is a public one where everybody takes their bath, fetch water and clean up. So, some people were around fetching water, having their bath as usual, while I was in the toilet planning to defecate. My friend called the cleaner for help because she was an elderly woman. I was very scared and people around too couldn't help because we are all young female students. The cleaner later helped to carry the baby out and brought it to the Health Centre along with me."

Her plan for the baby

"I will continue to keep him more handsome, healthier and nurture him to attain greater height in life. But what he will become later in life is not for me to decide but he will definitely become what God wants him to become. I will just try to train him in God's way and I am sure His (God) plan for his life will be realised."

The bean cake she ate deceived her – CSO

According to the institution's Chief Security Officer, Mr. Paul Ogidi, Rotimi thought she had stomach upset instead of labour pains because of the bean cake she took before going to bed.

"She got to campus late at night on Tuesday and it was learnt that she could not immediately get herself something to eat but later resolved to buy beans cake within the campus. After eating the snack, she complained severely of running stomach, urinated and defecated at regular intervals.

"She felt her stomach disorder was caused by the bean cake that she took the previous night – not knowing it was labour pains."

Varsity law does not forbid pregnancy - OAU

Authorities of OAU have blamed the improper use of the social media for the allegation that Oyinlola attempted to flush her baby away.

The Head of Public Relations, Mr. Biodun Olarenwaju, who spoke on behalf of the management, described the incident as a "social media rumour."

He said, "Social media is designed primarily to disseminate information. But in the Nigerian context, many people disseminate rumours. The only information that should be seen there should be those persons who have the authority to speak concerning that particular incident.

"The only truth in the social media episode is that a bouncing baby boy was delivered in the toilet of the female hostel in our university. Other tales on the social media were totally incorrect. Students should not encourage rumour mongering because of the image of the person involved. They have to be careful not to make rumour the news."

He explained that it was legal for the student to have delivered the baby in the school, stating that universities are institutions for adults.

"It is not a crime for a student to be pregnant. There is no law or decree that states that a student should be punished, an adult for that matter, for getting pregnant. And there is no law in this university that states that an undergraduate cannot become pregnant," he added.



'My friend didn't plan to kill her baby'

Rotimi's friend, Oluwayemisi Satope, who was in Room 103, Block B of Moremi Hall, together with the undergraduate mother, the night before the incident, said Oyinlola was willing to have the baby.

She explained that there was no attempt by them to kill the boy.

She added, "The truth of the matter is that we don't know how to go about it when we saw the baby. It was our first time and we didn't want to make a mistake. I had to call Mama Cleaner to assist us. Immediately it happened, I was the first person to shout for help and two cleaners appeared to assist.

"Diana (Rotimi) had to spend the night on campus to enable her to prepare for her 8:00 am examination the next day, because she stays off-campus. That mid-night, she started complaining of stomach upset and was visiting toilet regularly. A few minutes to 7:00am, she went to the toilet to defecate but delivered a baby."

Students name baby after VC

And as soon as the birth and survival of the baby became known on campus, students in their characteristic manner, launched into an unsolicited naming feast for the baby. Before the official naming ceremony scheduled to hold on Wednesday (tomorrow), OAU students have named him after the institution's Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Bamitale Omole.

At the Anglo-Moz Car Park of the university, they gathered and named the baby Moremigbemi (Moremi-blesses-me), Oriyomi (My-head-saves-me), Oluwadayisi (God-protects-this), Eniolorunopa (He-who-God-does-not-kill), Bamitale (Be-with-me-permanently) Omole.

Others at the Moremi Hall named the baby Orisamoremi (Deity Moremi), Moremidayisi (Moremi-protects-this), Omomoremi (Child-of-Moremi), Olorunwa (God-exists), Oniyapupo (One-with-many-mothers) Moremioku (Moremi-is-alive), Iyabo (Mother-Moremi-is-Back), among others.

Moremi is a mythical legend of the Yoruba race.

Also, the two cleaners, Mrs. Shipebi Grace and Mrs. Cecilia Ologbenla, in a chat with our correspondents, said there was no evidence to prove that Oyinlola wanted to kill her baby.

The cleaners noted that they had to force the door open when they were called to ensure the safety of Oyinlola and her baby who was crying.

According to them, the baby was in the water closet when they entered the toilet.

"She would not have wanted to attempt to kill the baby the way we saw her. She only panicked when we forced the door in. We had to force the door in because of the cry of the baby. In fact, it was one of them that came to call us, but you know some students are impatient. They didn't confirm what happened before they started spreading rumour."

Undergraduate father keeps mum

Meanwhile, efforts made by our correspondents to speak with the baby's father proved abortive. He is a 400 Level student of Mechanical Engineering, and is sitting for the second semester examination currently on at the institution.

One of his friends who spoke on the condition of anonymity explained that the young father is very sober about the development. The friend alleged that the young man and Rotimi had been friends for some time. Along the line, Oyinlola got pregnant and they decided not to abort it in order not to compound their 'sin'.

Doctors were shocked after seeing a patient that was bleeding green blood, according to reports.
A team of Canadian surgeons got a shock when the patient they were operating on began shedding dark greenish-black blood, the local newspaper reported....

He emulated science officer Mr. Spock of Star Trek Enterprise, who supposedly had green Vulcan blood. In this case, the unusual blood color of the 42-year-old was the result of the medication he was taking for migraine headaches.
The surgery of the man’s leg went ahead successfully and his blood returned to normal once the drug had tapered off. The patient had been taking large doses of sumatriptan, 200 milligrams a day. This had caused a rare condition called sulfhaemoglobinaemia, wherein sulfur is incorporated in the hemoglobin oxygen transport compound in the red blood cells.
In describing the case to the local newspaper, doctors, led by Dr. Alana Flexman of St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver wrote: “The patient recovered uneventfully and stopped taking sumatriptan after discharge. “When seen five weeks after the last dose, he was found to have no sulfhaemoglobin in his blood.” The man had needed urgent surgery because he had developed a dangerous condition in the legs after falling asleep in a sitting position.
The surgeons performed urgent fasciotomies, a limb saving procedure involving surgical incisions to relieve pressure and swelling caused by the condition known as compartment syndrome. In compartment syndrome, inflammation and pressure in a confined space limits the flow of blood to tissue that causes localized damage to the nerves.
It is commonly caused by trauma, internal bleeding or a wound dressing or cast being too tight.

The 28-year-old Roki who fathered 6 children in a space of about 6 years brew a shocker in an interview with Saturday Leisure saying that he cannot make predictions on this year's show, Big Brother The Chase, as he does not own a television set.

"I can't tell who will make it this year because I don't watch Big Brother. I only get updates on my i-pad from friends and internet because I do not have a television set at my house," he said.

The controversial artiste said even if he had a television set, he wouldn't afford subscribing to Dstv. An ordinary 21 inch television set costs about US$80.

"I can't afford subscribing. I rely on updates on what if happening from mostly my friends," he said.
