That is a sign of failed government, you are the one seeking for attention with this cover up article abi can’t Nigeria’s express their bitterness, it’s still the same failure of the same government that you’re defending that Nigeria’s are dying of hunger inside their house while your president and his northern brothers are sharing billions contributed by the Nigeria’s and you expect people to wish this government good.

Anambra are the major problem we have in southeast region just like this op . I wish the boundary can readjust my state Abia can be in south-south region. Inferiority complex is another problem facing us in southeast.

We know where Dangote started from and the efforts he made to be call the most richest man in Africa.

Federal government creates a good environment that's why dangote business is thriving in Nigeria. And of course our brother innoson enjoy same thing.

Even federal government patronize innoson than any other company in Nigeria. Some northern states also patronize innoson.

Go to all the southeast states you can't find dangote company there. No region in Nigeria that dangote not have company except our region. And I can't blame him.

I don’t know why some people are so worried about Igbo’s producing next president, people are just too hungry for power without purpose and direction. Years of dominance by the north and west produced absolutely nothing rather than poverty, corruption, backwardness and tribalism and yet some people are not bothered about the state of the nation, Op your article is not informative nor proffer any solution to the current challenges that the country is facing. Nigeria will continue with their recycling until sentiment is put aside and people with good intentions and wisdom is given the chance to contribute to the nations building . It’s easy for north and west to conspire like they always do and presents a candidate but the end results will still remain the same, years of conspiracy and better politics by west and north as they claim is what brought us where we are today. It is only a fool that will keep on doing the same thing over and over again and expect different results. If you built on conspiracy you will reap corruption and the cycle will continue until its consumed you. The country is shaking because of faulty foundation and if politics is not put aside and address it quickly then there will be no more ground for people that know politics to display their dirty politics.

Romance / Re: Nigerian Parents Have Failed In Raising This Present Generation Of Men by ocha88(m): 10:31pm On Mar 22, 2020
One thing is for sure our society has deteriorated so don’t just blame men for where we find ourselves today, a lot of women nowadays that sees their body as a source of income who raised them?

ladyGKilaBCrueD:
Now, before you attack me or go into fits of hateful convulsion, hear me out first please and perhaps you'd agree with what I'm saying.

This present generation of "men" are an utmost disaster. I am going by what I see mostly on social media and the sordid stories I hear around me.
They do not have the drive, ambition, intelligence and confidence of our fathers. For one, a lot of new generation guys are extremely lazy. They do not want to work hard, they'd rather look for the next "get rich quick" scheme than to actually use their brains in a productive manner. This is evidenced by the proliferation of yahoo boys in recent times. No one wants to put in the work, they want to be the next Mompha or Hushpuppi, stunting on the gram. It's not a bad thing to like money neither is the desire to be rich despicable. Infact, I think it's a noble desire. But these men would rather spend their entire day daydreaming about getting rich or looking to dabble into nefarious activities instead of actually working hard legitimately. How many of you can boast of a study monthly income of at least N350K?(Which is still very small IMO)

Most of our present men are very unintelligent. Ask the average man you meet the last book he read and it'd probably be a book that he read during his university days as part of his coursework. Speaking of the university, I just want to highlight my point by talking about my own experience back in the higher institution. In a class of about 120, we were evenly split between both genders. There was a stark difference in performance between the female students and the male students. While the girls were doing extremely well, the males on the other hand were failing woefully. They had no interest in academics, they barely attended classes, they relied on "expo" to get through tests and exams. Only a handful of them were doing well. The girls in my course were truly something else, very studious, serious minded and focused. I usually shook my head in disbelief at this unsavory trend. And these are future men who would grow up to be the "head of the home" but they were living life so carelessly. The only thing must Nigerian men are educated about is sex. This is all what they always dream and talk about, busting the next nut. Go through their social media posts and it's always something about big breasts, or big ass or something sexually related. I wish they'd focus all that energy on something more profitable.

I could go on and on about this unfortunate generation of men. They lack any form of drive and ambition, they are not forward thinking, very lackadaisical towards life. A real man should be ambitious. A real man should be a planner. A real man should be a provider. But our weak men of today just take the days as they come with no solid goals or aspirations. Most of them even now rely on their wives as the bread winners. You won't hear much about this because most women keep this a secret so as to not "emasculate" their husbands. A lot of women are now the providers but they'd rather make it seem like it's their husbands that do the providing just to assuage his stupid ego... which brings me to the next point.

The biggest Achilles heel of the Nigerian man is his ego. The average Nigerian man is extremely domineering and controlling, this is why he cannot stand having a successful wife because he feels he would not be able to control her. Thankfully, a lot of Nigerian women are waking up to realize their worth and their power and this has threatened Nigerian men so much grin They have this deep hate for feminists and feminism; they cannot stand the thought that women have come to realize that they are much more than housemaids and that they shouldn't be considered inferior to any man because they can do just as much as men can do. The little thread of "manhood" they were desperately clinging onto to give themselves any form of validation has been rudely snatched away by these pesky feminists! There is nothing left to boost their now dwindling ego so what do they now resort to? Becoming alfa males and taking the red pill grin grin They try to delude themselves into thinking that they are red pillers and thus will not chase women when deep down inside they know they are failures and that no correct women would look at them twice grin

One last thing I want to talk about before I sign off is about the current trend of these delusional males shaming women for being single grin grin grin I keep on seeing "insults: like evening newspaper and claims that most feminists need their wrinkled joysticks. These men accord so much importance to themselves that they see a single woman as an anomaly grin These group of men are obviously still sleeping. A lot of Nigerian women are now doing things to make themselves happy. They have come to realise that these men are not worth making any sacrifices for and they'd rather focus their energy on their businesses, careers and themselves. An increasing number of Nigerian women have expressed their desire not to get married and would you blame them? Marriage in Nigeria is like a bondage especially with this low-value men milling around. So my dear Nigerian men, you are not that valuable. When next you see a single girl, just know that it is out of choice or because you all aren't worth anything and don't assume she needs a man. Nobody needs you. You aren't that great tbh.

In conclusion, if I ever have a son, God knows I will raise him right. He will not be a lazy, entitled mess of a man that most of y'all are. I hope my post hasn't offended you in any way.

Religion / Spiritual Weapons by ocha88(m): 10:26pm On Mar 19, 2020
Good evening everyone and God bless you all, I stumbled on this online and I decided to share it here though not well edited

6 Spiritual Weapons to Use When the Battle Wears On*~```*_

When the battle wears on, we may feel weary, we may be tempted to give up, but these are the moments when we must remember that we don't fight in our own strength.

The weapons we fight with are not carnal weapons, and we don't dare fight in our own strength.

Our weapons are spiritual weapons; they are mighty through God, in His strength—not ours. And as we learn to tap into the strength of the Holy Spirit, enabling us to do what we otherwise couldn't do, we will begin to see victory in our lives!

*1. The Word of God*

"... and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God" (Eph. 6:17).

This is the first defensive weapon we read about in Paul's passage on the armor of God. Jesus used this weapon in the desert when Satan came to tempt Him.

Satan, at times using Scripture to tempt Jesus, twisted the meaning but Jesus came back at him each time using Scripture in its proper context to defeat him and eventually Satan left.

We will not defeat Satan by reasoning with him.

We will not defeat Satan by negotiating with him.

We will not defeat Satan by just telling him to get out.

We defeat Satan by using the weapons of our warfare that are mighty through God, and one of the most powerful weapons is the Word of God.

*2. Prayer*

"Praying in the Spirit always with all kinds of prayer and supplication" (Eph. 6:18a).

Many people don't recognize prayer as part of the armor of God passage in Ephesians 6. They get to the sword of the Spirit and stop, but there is not a period there.

The passage carries on talking about prayer, which is a powerful and often neglected weapon!

But notice that we don't just grab our prayer list and start working through it, "God I need.. ... and I need. ... and would You please. ... and bless. ..."

It says, "prayer and supplication in the Spirit."

We aren't praying with our mind, with our own intelligence. We are allowing the Holy Spirit to pray through us the will of the Father.

Sometimes, we already know the will of the Father.

If we are earnestly battling for the soul of a lost loved one, we know what the will of the Father is already, because the Bible tells us that the will of the Father is that none should perish.

But there are times when we are not certain. When there is no chapter and verse that clearly tells us what the will of the Father is.

If we're praying for a sick person: should we pray for immediate healing, should we pray that God be glorified through their physical weakness—as we see in Paul's thorn in the flesh, or should we pray for their ultimate healing—for God to take them home?

We see all three can be the will of the Father.

It is in these times that we need to allow the Holy Spirit to pray through us the will of the Father. He may choose to reveal it to us so we can pray in our human language, or He may choose to pray through us with the gift of tongues.

*3. Worship*

Jehoshaphat was king of Judah and a coalition army came against them to defeat them, and Jehoshaphat was afraid. In that moment, he did what any great leader should do—he called a prayer assembly and a fast.

During this prayer assembly, God gave the battle plans and assured them that they wouldn't need to fight because God would go before them and defeat the enemy.

Early in the morning they began to prepare, and Jehoshaphat did something very odd.

Ahead of the army marched worshipers who sang and praised God. They began to say, "Praise the Lord, for His mercy endures forever."

And then they began to sing and praise the Lord.

And Scripture says, "When they began singing and praising, the Lord set ambushes against Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; so they were defeated. Then the Ammonites and Moabites stood up against those dwelling from Mount Seir to destroy and finish them. Then when they made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, each man attacked his companion to destroy each other" (2 Chron. 20:22-23).

Worship is a powerful weapon to destroy the enemy.

But we must make an important distinction! Worship isn't just music. Worship isn't just playing your favorite worship CD.

Worship is a condition of the heart. It is purposeful and intentional elevation of God above everything else.
We can worship God by singing songs of praise written by other people, but worship can also be spontaneously singing words of adoration and exaltation to God that come from our own heart that no one has ever written before.

*4. The Name of Jesus*

"Therefore God highly exalted Him and gave Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
of those in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father" (Phil. 2:9-11).

Did you catch what this verse is saying? The name of Jesus is above every other name.

Have you ever noticed that in many circles, while it is acceptable to use the name God or Lord, you will get a reaction if you use the name of Jesus?

There are many gods. Every religion acknowledges a god, and they usually call their god "god". The term "lord" is still used today in many contexts.

But Jesus? There is only one Jesus, and there is only one context in which we use the name of Jesus.

This is what makes using the name of Jesus Christ in vain so insulting. Many Christians who routinely break the third commandment and speak God's name in vain will not use Jesus Christ's name the same way.

This doesn't diminish the power of God's name, but Paul was clear when he said that God gave Jesus the name above every name. And in that name is incredible power. At Jesus' name every knee will bow and confess that He is Lord.

*5. Our Testimony*

"They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they loved not their lives unto the death" (Rev. 12:11).

Skeptics may refute something you believe. They may even present their own set of facts or talking points that seem to call into question the Bible, creation and the existence of God altogether.

This doesn't negate the power of God's Word; rather, it confirms for us that we're living in an age of incredible deception and delusion. However, something that cannot be refuted is a first-hand testimony. This is why first-hand testimony is allowed in a court of law.

The enemy may come at you with lies and deception, but he cannot convince you that what God has done for you didn't really happen.

It's your testimony, and it has great power! It is the final word.

This is a weapon that is so often neglected, because if the enemy can get us to focus on the negative, on what we don't have, on the bad things going on in our life right now, he can cause us to forget all the good things God has done for us in the past.

All the ways God has come through for us. All the miracles God has done in our life. All the ways God has provided for us when we had nothing. The healing God has done in our heart and in our body.

Because while he can't refute our testimony, he can cause us to forget our testimony—knowing that if we use our testimony, we will be victorious. Because we will have the power to stand in faith that God will come through for us again!

*6. Thanksgiving*

"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and supplication with gratitude, make your requests known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will protect your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus" (Phil. 4:6-7).

There is nothing the enemy wants more than for you to be riddled with discontentment, anxiety, worry, depression, envy, covetousness, gossip, complaining, slander...

All things that destroy us from the inside out and poison our relationships with others.

I clearly remember as a young adult working at a particular job where I was unhappy and frustrated, coming home each night griping and complaining about my coworkers and all of the annoying things they did.

One morning, my dad sat me down. I knew this was going to be a "talking to," something I desperately needed but really didn't want to listen to. He explained how my complaining was growing chronic, and a little annoying itself.

And then he gave me the antidote. It was a challenge, and it worked.

Each day I was to sit down with my journal and write down five positive things about each co-worker. And I wasn't allowed to repeat anything I'd written before.

At first, it was really hard. In fact, for some of them, nothing came to mind at all. I was so focused on the negative that I couldn't see anything positive at all.

But I managed something like, "They have pretty eyes" or "They have perfectly straight teeth."

But the more I did it, the easier it became. And in no time at all, I stopped complaining, and actually started liking my job again.

Does this seem like a self-help exercise?

Maybe this feels way too simplistic to you, but it's actually scriptural Check out this verse just below the one above:

And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will protect your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honest, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think on these things (Phil. 4:7-cool.

This is a great place to start in using thanksgiving as a weapon of warfare.

I still do this exercise.

Sometimes in a journal, sometimes just in my heart. But it's become a habit.

Through thankfulness, God is able to adjust our heart so our prayers will no longer be selfish prayers but prayers He can answer.

We are able to pray according to His will because our own selfish ambitions are out of the way.

Politics / Re: Let's Debate On Secession. No Insults by ocha88(m): 4:02pm On Mar 18, 2020
BSMS:
(001)
DON'T TELL ME YOU DON'T HAVE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION

(1) How many Igbos live or work in Kano State?
(2) How many Igbos live or work in Abuja?
(3) How man Igbos live or work in Lagos?
(4) Is it true that more than 20 million Igbos live or work in other parts of Nigeria outside Igboland?
(5) Is it true that there are more Igbo owned businesses outside Igboland than those located in Igboland?
(6) If true, it means Igbos earn more than half their income from economic activities occurring in other parts of Nigeria outside Igboland.

If you don't have the above information, how can you honestly and realistically plan for secession or for Biafra?

If as a result of secession millions of Igbos are to relocate back to Igboland, what plans do you have to provide them employment and settle them in Igboland?

The funny thing about ipob is that they never think about these things. They just emote.

One thing they forgot was that by the time Ojujwu declared Biafra in 1967, all Igbos in Nigeria had been forced back to Igboland. If millions of Igbos were freely doing their business in Kano and Lagos, Ojukwu would not have attempted a secession.

You need to consider the 20 million Igbos scattered all over Nigeria outside Igboland. If you were them, would you abandon your successful businessrs in Kano and Lagos and return to Igboland to fight over land with your village people?

Those 20 million Igbos are richer than those in Igboland. When referendum comes, they will vote against break-up and they will use their influence to get their brothers at home to vote against it. So, I can predict with certainty that the referendum will fail woefully.

The Igbos are like eagles. They need a vast space to soar wide and far. Igbos don't need to be confined within a tight space. They are free spirits. For the Igbos, there should be no national boundaries. The Igbos need a borderless world, without national boundaries.

We just need to give them an enabling environment, a levelplaying field, a system where reward will be based on merit and hard work, justice and equity and fair play. What the Igbos want is a fair play, not a border. We are free people. The whole world bu nke anyi. Africa should have been like India or China - just one country.

Now, let's debate. No insults.
Nigeria has failed as a nation, with no value to human life and we are here discussing about numbers of Biafra that owns properties outside Igbo land. Op if you really want to discuss Nigeria please do it and keep Biafra aside.

Good day everyone... I made a post yesterday about my brother that has been missing since on the 7th of March. That’s the link below for the post.

https://www.nairaland.com/5740195/find-brother-missing-person-case

I really wanna appreciate everyone that said a prayer or two for my brother, and those that called to sympathize with me, God bless you all.

My brother made contact with us yesterday night, he’s fine and okay, though he hasn’t given us a story of what happened, all he said was he has been sleeping under the bridge at dopemu, how he got there all the way from ogba, we have no idea.

He’s home with us now, and we thank God that he’s at least fine.

That aside, someone from Nairaland tried to blackmail me... he called my line saying he has my brother and if I don’t do as he says, he’s going to send down his body parts, luckily for me, my brother had already contacted us at that time. So when I got the call from this dude saying he has my brother, I knew it was all a big scam. Glory be to God almighty

I posted for help here, not for someone to come take advantage of the situation for his own greed and wickedness... If you are reading this now, you know yourself, you better change your ways.

Below is the number of the “supposed kidnapper” and the message he sent when I stopped picking his calls.

Wrong approach.
This is the same foolish mentality that created an avenue for another region to act as lord and master of the south.
This is what tinubu wants.
That is why the south east is getting $0.00 in the 30 billion dollars loan.

Like my igbo lecturer in PRE572 used to say, apoliticism is self defeatism.

If you like your children and the future of Igboland, you would drop this attitude and play with the highest bidder.

if you are an Igbo man which I doubt you will know by now that Any man/woman with Igbo blood never depends on government to succeed in life and that mentality is what keep us ahead of order tribes despise all the effort to frustrate our hustle, as long as am concern Nigeria is a fail state.

A Nigerian Twitter user took to the platform to share her experience of dating short men and according to her it has been “terrible”.

'My experience with dating short men has been quite terrible' - Nigerian lady recounts

According to @ulomareen, some of the short men she dated had fantasies of correcting their height deficiency with her, had anger issues while others told her to stop wearing heels.

She also recounted her first kiss with a short man, which left her bending and thinking her neck was going to snap.

She tweeted;

“My experience with short men has been quite terrible. 1st date & they’re already telling you to stop wearing heels. Some will start fantasizing about having kids with you so that they’ll correct the height deficiency in their offspring. & their anger no be here. I no do again.

To make thing clear, I’m not mocking short men. I’m only stating MY experience as a tall woman navigating the dating circle with them. I’m 6’0 and many tall women like me can relate. And we’re genuinely tired.

The first time I ever kissed a short man I had to stoop down to reach his lips. Thought my neck was going to snap. It was so awkward and we ended up laughing about it. I’m so glad the kiss was good because what would I have today my parents if my neck had dislocated?”

Personally I like tall ladies but the truth remains short ladies are more brilliant and smarter

STORY OF MY BESTIE she's in pains now

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HT_yAdd10XQ

I have decided to ask everyone here for advice —
should I marry a very decent guy if I felt nothing more than respect and friendly feelings to him these days?

The reason I ask is that I’m 28 but I haven’t had any relationship before this. I’ve fallen in love several times before but the guys either turned out to be married, not interested in me, had a very unstable mind, or were irresponsible and let me down…

I would love to listen to my heart but even till today, my heart is used to making the wrong decisions…

Now I met this guy, and he fell in love with me immediately. He is very responsible, caring, perceptive…
But I simply don’t feel anything for him…

I’ve told him that already but he asked me to give him a chance and to see if I would change my mind…
I’ve given him that chance but I simply don’t feel emotional or physical compatibility…
I just can’t imagine having a spousal relationship with him…

Should I give him a straight-up “NO” and continue to wait/search for someone while living my life?
Or is there a chance that love will come after marriage? This my last question sounds very funny but what brought up all these is due to the many videos I've watched on YOUTUBE about how to give up in a relationship/how to fall in love.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HT_yAdd10XQ
The responses I get from Youtube Videos are quite complicated, some seem helpful, but I remain completely ignorant about my present condition.

Thanks for reading and I expect your advice.
you can develop love for him with time and you need just two things to achieve ,COMMUNICATION AND SPENDING TIME TOGETHER , you’re already have that respect for him . Since he’s a good man you will thank God later for giving you such a good man

A popular Nigerian pidgin adage goes: "Pikin wey go get head, na from small dem dey know".

it's been 7 years of waywardness. no sign of me changing my obnoxious lifestyle. I'm even getting worse. it has gotten to a stage that my life and health is being threatened.......
op I understand your problem ok oya listen now let me tell you something, consistency attracts a spirit there’s a spirit behind every addiction. So your problem is spiritual I will advise you to look for a genuine man of God for counseling and deliverance
