The leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has set in motion, machineries to further open the party and pave way for greater participation of youths in electoral activities, including emerging as candidates at various levels across the country.
In this regard, the PDP National Directorate of Youth Affairs has set up a Youth Restructuring Committee to examine the level of youth involvement in the various organs of party administration, as well as recommend ways by which more youths will be encouraged to aspire and supported to emerge as party candidates in future elections.
The Committee, which is the first major step towards improving youth inclusion in line with the on-going effort to reposition the party for the challenges ahead, would be inaugurated by the PDP Acting National Chairman, Prince Uche Secondus on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at the PDP National Secretariat, Abuja.
In view of the critical nature of its assignment, the committee has as members, seasoned youth activists, mobilizers and commentators, drawn from across the country, such as Hon. Tony Nwolu, Amb. Ibrahim Bala Aboki, Prince Adebayo Opeolwa Abayomi, Comrade Franklyn Edede, Umar Babangida Maina, Comrade Ini Essien Emabong, Hon. Zulaihat Abdullahi, Malik Henry Obodozie-Awuzie, Ohimai Godwin Amaize, Abdulrahaman Usman Muawuyya, Comrade Yusuf Alhassan Kanoma, Barr. Inusa Mohammed, Comrade Chidiebere Egwu and Oche Joseph Otorkpa.
The Committee is further vested with the responsibility of examining the institutional, operational and administrative framework that governs and guides youth activities in the Party, as well as recommending amendments necessary to improve and expand youth inclusion in party processes.
It is also to review the involvement strategy of youths groups, recommend best practice and avenues for youth group engagement, in addition to contemporary methods for youth recruitment, mobilisation and retention in the party.
The party appreciates the support of the International Republican Institute (IRI) in pledging technical and secretarial assistance for the Committee, which has three weeks to submit its report.

The last 100 have been a Mixed bag for Nigerians because virtually everything is at a stand still like Reuters and BBC have clearly reported. while many have insulted  us for  insisting that the APC and General Buhari must take responsibility for the Promises they made to Nigerians before the election many others have continued to applaud our sincerity and clear sense of purpose.

Unlike the Lai Mohammed and the APC which almost never see anything good in others there are some positives that we have seen in the last 100 days that we will like to outline ‎


1. Police Corruption : While Police officers are still taking bribes and collecting toll fees from Nigerians the rate at which they brazenly demand such appears to have reduced to a great extent  

I will give this credit to Buhari 

2. Corrupt Civil Servants 
Civil servants  Who hitherto parked posh cars that their 10 year salaries cannot buy seem to be scampering for safety .‎
In all honesty this new fever amongst the corrupt is attributable to Buhari and his stance on corruption 

3. Disappearance of Corrupt Customs officer's 

Two years ago I had personally reported the activities of these group of thieves to the Dr Okonjo-Iweala the then.  Minister of Finance who promised to do something about it. 

These irresponsible officers harrass families on transit stripping them of huge sums of money they had budgeted for the trip.
They simply declare your customs papers as fake demand a huge sums,  refusing to pay means your Family will be stranded and the vehicle you have been using for 3 years auctioned to their relatives for next to nothing .

The seeming end to these impunity is also a result of the Buhari Factor also 

4. Osun Civil servants and Others

Perhaps the greatest beneficiary of Buhari's  first 100 days are the living  civil servants in Osun and other states whose backlog of salaries are currently been settled by the bailout approved by Buhari 

Even the devil cannot take this away from Buhari

We will continue to insist of the fulfilment of the campaign promises made by Buhari and his party which formed the foundation of their election into efforts not withstanding the deceptive efforts by the Party and some Presidential aides to make us forget them. 

We congratulate General Buhari and the APC on their 100 Days  In office and wish them well as they Settle down to feed school children, end the Boko Haram menace  and fulfil the pledge of 5000 monthly to the unemployed amongst many other promises......... ‎

RE : Understanding Buhari in 100 Days ( Dissecting Garba Shehu's Deceptive Piece)  

It was Joseph B. Wirthlin who said "Honesty is of God and dishonesty of the devil; the devil was a liar from the beginning.
The quote above sums up the the attempt  by a Presidential media Aide Mallam Garba Shehu to further deceive Nigerians into believing anything meaningful had taken place in the last  100 days.
Like Steven Covey puts it The more people rationalize cheating, the more it becomes a culture of dishonesty. And that can become a vicious, downward cycle. Because suddenly, if everyone else is cheating, you feel a need to cheat, too.
It very regrettable that the same people who told Nigerians  that they will generate 20,000 Megawatts of electricity in four years are turning around to not only disown the promise as a road map, but are now claiming they knew nothing about the contract document that almost certainly brough them into office.
Before the presidential elections , Buhari and APC had accused their Opponents severally of  not declaring their assets publicly, and went on to pledge that not only will their Presidential candidate  declare his assets publicly he will encourage his appointees to do so as a "Pre- condition" for their. appointment into office. unfortunately, It never happened !!! Buhari and "Pastor" Osinbajo till date are yet to fulfill these simple promise they made to Nigerians.
Even the new  NNPC boss that attempted to make his declaration public was quickly whipped into line. 

The claim  by Mr Femi Adeshina that the promise to declare assets publicly was made by the  APC and not General Buhari clearly shows that he lacks the mental capacity to do what he was employed to do , because if he does, he would have  come to the conclusion that under the Electoral Act 2011 as amended there is no provision for independent candidacy. 

On Boko Haram,  Nigerians do not need to peruse any document,  General  Buhari himself promised to end the Boko Haram insurgency  within two weeks if elected President , even though he had 8 weeks to finetune his strategy he has so far failed to deliver 14 weeks after coming to office.
Within  Buhari's 100 days in office over 2000 innocent  Nigerians have perished in the hands of Boko Haram insurgents. 
Under the former administration, APC members and sympathisers shamefully  celebrated every attack and loss of life on social media  "showering" insults at will  on our soldiers.
Despite the huge sacrifices our brothers and sisters in the armed forces were making  Mallam Nasiru El- rufai and his clan led an onslaught against them and their families describing them as "Jonathanian" unfortunately, these are the same men and women  they are now pleading with to save them from disgrace and embarrassment.
Rather than hiding  under some mischievous excuse the President and his team  must accept the fact that they have failed to deliver on this promise.

Running a government on "Body Language"  when citizens are neither deaf or dumb is a style that is alien to virtually all Nigerians, the country does not need a leader that hardly ever communicate with citizens or a leader who goes into hibernation at the slightest opportunity , the  last kingdom to be  ruled using "Body Language"  was probably  the Manyakhetas of India who were ruled  by Rashtrakutan dynasty from  753 -982 AD.  it is therefore out of place for Shehu to subject citizens in the 21st century to body language lectures instead of telling them what the government has done in plain language.
The recent revelation by the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission, that  the recent improvement in electricity was as a result of earlier  steps taken by the Jonathan administration has rubbished the false claims of Shehu and the APC  that Buhari’s body language was responsible for the improvement in power supply.

On relations with our neighbour's one must not fail to state the fact that when the then president of Nigeria sought help from our Neighbour's in the fight against insurgents the APC and General Buhari himself described  the action as a big disgrace while Mallam Nasiru El - rufai described Jonathan's  visit to Chad's as a Meeting to strategise on how to  plan more attacks on citizens.
 Interestingly, the first country General Buhari visited on assumption of office was Chad where he sought the assistance and cooperation of that country in the fight against insurgents like Jonathan before him. 
These is the kind  of hypocrisy and deception that must be condemned by all those who wish this nation well.‎

Rice Importation or Production  has nothing to do with the Buhari Administration as falsely claimed by Shehu in his article.
The agricultural strides of Nigeria under the leadership of the current African Development Bank chief Dr Adeshina  is widely celebrated and documented despite attempts by the APC and their cohorts to rubbish it , even a village farmer knows that  it takes an average of 4 months to plant and harvest  the best variety of rice .
These desperate attempt to appropriate another man's achievements is part of the corruption that Nigeria must eradicate.

Although I am from the North I do not support the systematic emasculation of other sections of the country as presently being practised by the Buhari administration neither am I in support of the gradual  de-capitation of INEC and all the ingredients that makes it Independent.

As Nigerians we must be objective, people like Shehu must see beyond their next pay slip,while all those who chanted change must see beyond party sentiments, ethnic or religious affiliation and stand for the truth even when it hurts.

These came to me as a surprise before this Pre-election  warning by Yoruba elders was brought to my attention! 
 

The Yoruba nation risks exposing its people to terrible circumstances and fortunes should they cast their votes for General Mohammadu Buhari, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the February 14 election.

This is the belief of elders of the Yoruba nation that have been commenting on the possibility of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the National Leader of the APC, railroading the people to vote for the party’s candidate.

Speaking on the sidelines of the meeting between the leaders of pan-Yoruba group, Afenifere, and President Goodluck Jonathan in Akure, Ondo State on Tuesday, elders of the Yoruba nation were unanimous in their decision to support the candidature of President Jonathan because of his belief in the unity and equality of all component groups that make up the country.

They also cite the antecedents of Buhari that has shown him as disrespectful to the culture, history and leadership of the Yoruba nation.

Speaking on the candidature of Buhari, Alhaji Sulaimon Olumolade, a cocoa merchant from Ibadan, Oyo State, who was at the meeting, recalled how Buhari had imprisoned past leaders of the Yoruba nation like Pa Lateef Jakande, former Governor of Lagos State, Chief Adekunle Ajasin of Ondo State and Bisi Onabanjo of Ogun State, even when the panels set up to investigate their tenures in office between 1979 and 1983 did not find them to have corruptly enriched themselves before Buhari overthrew them in a coup.

Olumolade said: “Buhari was wicked to the Yoruba nation. How does he expect us to vote for him when we have not forgotten the treatment he meted out to Pa Ajasin and Chief Onabanjo, two men that he could not find guilty of corruption but whom he still detained for over 20 months? We do not have such a short memory. We do not want someone who disrespects our people as president.”

Another elder, who simply gave his name as Demola Ibiwoye, also said it will be tough for any true Yoruba man to vote for Buhari because his antecedents speak of disrespect to the people of the region.

“Buhari suspended the Ooni of Ife, Oba Alayeluwa Okunnade Sijuade, because he travelled to Israel with the late Emir of Kano. Who do you think would vote for such a person who has no respect for traditional authority? We the Yorubas rever our kings a lot and will vote against a man who has demonstrated such disrespect for our traditional rulers,” Ibiwoye stated.

Meanwhile, Afenifere, the pan-Yoruba socio-cultural body, on Tuesday endorsed President Goodluck Jonathan for the February 14 election.

The endorsement was the outcome of the meeting the President had with the leaders of the group in Akure, Ondo State.

The meeting was held at the residence of the Leader of the group, Chief Reuben Fasoranti, and attended by leaders from the South West geopolitical zone of the country.

The Police in Delta has arrested Ms Fina Maiki for giving false information about Reno Omokri, a former aide to president Goodluck Jonathan.
According to a reliable source in the Force, Maiki has been handed over to the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Asaba for further investigation while there are efforts to arrest her alleged accomplice, Alex Oyoro.
“We have arrested her and handed her to the State CID, Asaba for further investigation. There is a warrant of arrest for Alex Oyoro and he should be arrested soon. They are needed for providing false information,” the source noted.
Recalled that earlier this year an online news medium, quoting Oyoro as its source alleged that Omokri burglarized a house in Delta and cart away N25 million.
However, Oyoro distanced himself from the report and also denied providing information for the online medium in his statement of defence at the High Court of Justice, Asaba Division following a suit initiated by Omokri.

Having failed to achieve any success after months of unsubstantiated figures and wild allegations against Dr Okonjo-Iweala, the political and corrupt vested interests who have been attacking her have now turned their evil attention on her family.

- Dr Ikemba Iweala, the husband of Dr Okonjo-Iweala is a recently retired neuro-surgeon and emergency physician with over 40 years’ of practice in Nigeria, the United Kingdom and the United States.
- Three of their four children are US trained medical doctors, including Uchechi Iweala who was mentioned in the story. Uchechi has an MD and MBA from Harvard.
- To actualize his desire to give back to the country, Dr Ikemba Iweala for the past few years has been working on establishing a hospital in the Federal Capital Territory. He has used his savings to develop the concept and design of the hospital. So far efforts to source financing for the project are ongoing.
- It is the prototype design and website of the yet to be realized project that Sahara Reporters, doing the bidding of its corrupt pay masters, seeks to turn into a multi-billion dollar evidence of corruption.
Why is Dr Okonjo-Iweala the object of this ceaseless campaign of falsehoods and distortions? The answer is simple: because she refused to steal and share and because she blocked many powerful people, some of whom are now in power, from stealing. That is why they would go to any lengths to tarnish her name.
Dr Okonjo-Iweala has a clean record of two terms in office. As we have consistently maintained, she is not afraid of a transparent investigation of her two terms in office. She supports the anti-corruption drive in Nigeria. No one who has had the privilege of serving his or her country should feel too big to be investigated. It is this very issue of fighting corruption that brought her back in the first place and she has a track record of blocking corruption. It is ironic that it is those same corrupt people who are trying to tarnish her image using corrupt media like Saharareporters.
People should recall that it was her fight against subsidy scammers that led to her mother being kidnapped in 2012 with the demand by the scammers that she should resign and leave the country.
Nigerians should prepare for more attacks because these people are desperate and drunk with power. But they will keep failing because the truth will ultimately prevail.

The Auto industry is dead then

Why will Toyota decide to Build a Plant in Nigeria and hire young Nigerians to power the auto revolution, when Nissan, Kia, Innoson et all are about to crumble under a government that subsidies tukunbo businesses at the expense of a home grown auto revolution.

Turning Nigeria into a dumping ground for vehicles that were recalled due to defects and mechanical issues is all the auto industry needs to crumble!

These guys should concentrate on keeping small promises like

1. Declaring assets publicly

2. Paying 5 K to Unemployed

3 . Truly abolishing the office of the first lady or is it wife of Pres

Before undertaking complex and confusing task they don't understand

I see job losses in the auto industry except these APC guys come to their senses
