Sule Lamido Lacks Quality To Be President, He is 419” L-R-Gov-Sule-Lamido-and-Dan By Umar Akilu Majeri, Dutse The director of information Jigawa state under the Saminu Turaki administration and the former national coordinator of the PDP northern region campaign of the Late President Alhaji Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, Alhaji Ishaq Hadejia, today, challenged the qualifications of the Jigawa State governor to vie for the office of the President in 2015. He challenged the governor to come clean on the allegation of forgery certificate and the poor quality of leadership rendered so far in Jigawa State. Alhaji Ishaq Hadejia, who is now a member of the opposition party, All Progressive Congress [APC] in Jigawa state, stated that Governor Sule Lamido lacked the leadership quality to rule the country in 2015. He stated this in an exclusive interview with 247ureports.com. Alhaji Ishaq Hadejia called on informed observers to compare the infrastructural development on ground in the State against the many billions “looted by the Lamido administration”. Available information indicates that Governor Sule Lamido was a secondary school dropout – who following his rise to Governor’s seat quickly rose to the ranks of multi-billionaire. Allegations from competent quarters indicate that he may have gone beyond enriching himself – to enrich his sons and his extended family. While he served as the federal minister of foreign affairs, he owned no significant buildings or properties – but with his accession to the seat of Jigawa State Governor, he erected major structures scattered across the landscape of Kano State. According to Alhaji Ishaq Hadejia, “billions of Naira meant for Jigawa state government was diverted to his elder’s son account ”. Alhaji Ishaq Hadejia continued to reveal that one of Lamido’s commissioners diverted virtually all developmental projects originally earmarked to various regions in the State to the Governor’s hometown in Birnin kudu local government. Birnin kudu local government received projects worth over N30billion. “Lamido’s government is a selfish government” lamented Alhaji Ishaq Hadejia – as he continued to add that “Jigawa people will not allow people like Lamido to continue deceive the people in the state. The government of Jigawa state is trying to play with our intelligence – to start executing project that will never be completed – in order to win the mind of the people – as part of presidential campaign. It will not be possible”. Alhaji Ishaq Hadejia said he learnt that Jigawa state government is planning to execute N10billion worth of projects to the people of Hadejia at the tail end of his 8 years in office. “But the people of Hadejia can see why he is suddenly acting to placate them”. Alhaji Ishaq Hadejia cautioned that those who are advertising Lamido as a presidential flag bearer “are deceiving themselves because Lamido could not perform and he too knows that he cannot”. He continued, “There are many Nigerians who are qualified to lead the country better than Lamido”, – that there is no need devoting time on “Lamido who don’t have even secondary school certificate, who is arrogant and lacking in language discipline”. He urged Nigerian to make a better choice in the next coming election to elect leaders that could perform better and be useful to Nigerians – those who could protect lives and properties of the people not people like Lamido. “Lamido has lots of problem which everybody knows. His nature of rudeness is unrivaled”. “How will Nigerians allow such people to lead them? I know if Nigerians mistakenly elect Lamido as president in 2015 they will regret it because poverty will increase in the country. Jigawa people are now in hardship. Many people were injected with poverty in the state. So how could we advertise such people to be elected as leaders in the country? We here in Jigawa we have made that mistake and we will not do it again and we will not allow Nigerians to copy it” he stated. “If Lamido wants to help Jigawa people, he should improve the farming activities. He should use that N30billion spent in his local government for agricultural purpose. It will help the farmers boost farming activities in all the 27 local government areas in the state”. Alhaji Ishaq Hadejia also commented on the recent effort by the Lamido administration to bring foreign investors to the State. In his words, “all the investors who attended the Jigawa economic summit to invest on various trades in the state have understood that anybody who mistakenly sinks his money in Jigawa will never make any profits because Jigawa people consider the summit as toothless”. “The investors should be very careful of the 419 arrangement between the Lamido and his political father Obasanjo”.

I might be wrong but super Eagles striker Brown Ideye should shave off the useless hair he left because it is in my opinion that while it makes Balotelli think well in front of Goal it simply makes Ideye useless in front of goal . what ever makes him think he has lots of skills is related to that useless hair in the middle ,that's also what makes him think he must dribble the goal keeper for goals to count . so my appeal to the striker is please kindly shave stuff off may be just may be you will be useful in front of goal ,and spare us more agony its enough

New improved GEJ! No nonsense |
President Goodluck Jonathan has expressed his dismay that the most senior officials of many of Nigeria’s military and para-militaary security agencies are incompetent and do not merit their positions; thus leading to a dismal performance by the agencies. The president, who stated this while inaugurating the Police Service Commission on Wednesday at the State House, Abuja, called for a total overhaul of the security agencies, and charged the commission to flush out the bad eggs in the police. He charged the new police commission chairman, Mike Okiro, and the other five members, to instil discipline in the force and ensure that promotions are done purely on merit. Mr. Jonathan said indiscipline and irregularities in staff promotion exercises were a major problem in military and para-military agencies. “I believe there are two things, one is the issue of discipline, and so one of the responsibilities of the Police Service Commission is to instil discipline. Another thing I believe is that people who have no merit to certain ranks are being promoted to those ranks. “One of your responsibilities is to handle promotion. I believe with you only those who merit or deserve promotion should be promoted. Those who deserve to be disciplined or even dismissal must be disciplined,” the president said. Unqualified immigration To justify his claim of incompetent individuals heading Nigeria’s security agencies, the president made reference to the recent screening and review process of six candidates for the post of the Comptroller General of the Nigeria Immigration Service. He said most of the six were not only undeserving of the position they were nominated for, but should have been sacked from the service. “Few days back I did approve the new comptroller general of immigration, …, of about six that were to be reviewed, some were sent from the ministry, some were picked from amongst the most senior. “When we reviewed the six, from my intelligent investigation most of them were supposed to have been dismissed. But those were the people that were being forwarded for appointment as Comptroller General of Immigration. Among them only one is qualified to even stay and serve, others ordinarily are supposed to be dismissed from the records,” the president said. The President had on Tuesday approved the immediate retirement of five deputy comptroller general of immigration service. Those affected were R.B. Musa, Denen Akaa, F.T. Mologe, Umar Suleiman, and Kuso Abubakar Khalil. It is not clear if or why the president did not demand that the officials be prosecuted for whatever crimes they committed to warrant their dismissal. Mr. Jonathan said he believed that the immigration case was similar to what obtained in other security agencies. “I believe that the story of Immigration is the same with most of our services. I believe that is why the performance of some of our military and para-military officers is abysmal, because the yardstick being used for promotion is not based on competence, merit and performance. “And that is one area I believe you (the police commission) will go into. People who are promoted to assistant police commissioner and above must merit the rank. If you don’t merit the rank you should be retired from the service because is better for you not have enough manpower than for you to have viruses and all kinds of characters in the police force,” he said. The president said that Nigerians were beginning to lose confidence in the Nigerian Police. “You will agree with me that Nigerians don’t have so much confidence in the Nigerian police but Nigerian police are good. The Nigerian Police that work outside under United Nations are highly honoured, highly commended and Okiro will agree with me. But once we come back home that is not reflected in what we do,” he said. Advised to sack senior officers The president also revealed that he was advised to sack all senior police officers working at the police headquarters. “Even now that we have challenges, you will see that, especially when the Police Headquarters was bombed, some people came to me and say Mr. President sack all police officers working in that place from Assistant Commissioner of Police and above. “I did not sack any because of that incident. But that was the advice I got; that if you do that subsequent people that would be posted there will sit up. How could the police allow their headquarters to be bombed by a very local group called Boko Haram?” he said. Mr. Jonathan also advised Mr. Okiro and his team to review the command structure in the police. “The Federal Executive Council, maybe in the next one or two weeks we, are going to look at the report because we want to come up with a white paper on the police reform report. “But since we have just appointed you we give you privilege to look that document before we come out with a white paper. So that if there is a suggestion that you will bring, you bring it so that it will be part of the white paper since you are the one to manage the police. “It is only proper that you and I will think alike and be on the same page, because we need to reform the Nigerian police for a better service for us all. I believe with you working with the Inspector General of Police and other senior police officers, Nigeria police will be a better force,” Mr. Jonathan stated |

Tired Bank Employee Naps on Keyboard, Transfers $293 Million A German bank clerk fell asleep on his keyboard and accidentally transformed a minor transfer into a 222 million euro ($293 million) order, a court heard. The man was supposed to transfer just 62.40 euros from a bank account belonging to a retiree, but instead “fell asleep for an instant, while pushing onto the number 2 key on the keyboard” — making it a huge 222,222,222.22 euro order. The case was taken to court by the man’s 48- year-old colleague who was fired for letting the mistake slip through when verifying the order. Judges at Hesse labour court ruled, however, that failing to spot the error and approving the transaction was not worthy of dismissal. The judges instead decided that the supervisor, who had been an employee at the company since 1986, should only have been reprimanded as she had already checked 812 transactions that day, allowing just a couple of seconds to check each one for irregularities and errors. The judges ruled that it was clear there had been no malicious intent on the supervisor’s behalf, saying she should have received a warning. As a result, they ordered the bank to reinstate the supervisor, saying her work contract could not be terminated. Fortunately for the company, the huge transaction was spotted by a third employee later in the day and corrected before any money was exchanged |

Female Students Barred From Wearing Bra To Exams Published on June 7, 2013 by · 1 Comment More than nine million students packed exam halls across China for the opening day of the country’s university entrance exam on Friday — with attempts to stop cheating even leading to bans on metal bra clasps. Students in the northeastern province of Jilin were banned from wearing clothing with metal parts and education authorities installed metal detectors in exam centres to clamp down on “wireless cheating devices”, the state-run Global Times reported. Authorities have become increasingly concerned about the risk of examinees using devices such as smartphones — some of which have become smaller and easier to hide — as an illicit aid during tests. Around 9.12 million high school students were registered across China to sit the crucially important two-day exam, known as the gaokao, reports have quoted the education ministry as saying. Officials aimed to crack down on “sales of high- tech gear for cheating, and gaokao-related fraud”, the Global Times said. Some measures to ensure students reach the annual test on time can be extreme. Pictures posted online showed an amphibious fire engine ploughing through water to deliver a boy dressed in school uniform to the exam in a remote part of Inner Mongolia. The southern city of Guangzhou introduced dedicated lanes for vehicles taking students to the gaokao, local media said, while parents in China’s business hub of Shanghai booked taxis a week in advance for their children. Parents across the country visited temples to make offerings for their children’s success, the Global Times said, while others were shown waiting outside exam rooms with food and drink specially prepared for their children. The test has come under fierce criticism on China for putting enormous pressure on students, and as a symbol of educational inequality, with many low-income students whose parents have migrated to cities barred from taking the exam in their new homes. |
Football loving Nigerians may not get to watch the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifying game against Kenya today, because of rights issues. Officials of NTA revealed to KickOffNigeria, that the right holders are demanding for as much as €400,000 broadcast fee, before they can be allowed to transmit the crucial match. “It is outrageous! That is an obscene amount of money for just two hours of live transmission and at very short notice,” the NTA official said. In what might offer anxious fans slim hope, he added that the network was still negotiating to try and bring down the fee. “If we can get it down, and bring in other stations like AIT, and so on, we may still be able to bring the game to Nigerians,” he said. The game is scheduled to kick off by 2pm in Nairobi

No mercy: Female thief caught by shop owner gets humiliated with a hair shave (PHOTOS, WATCH) Posted by Y! Assistant Editor When Chinese shopkeeper Lu Sun saw a shoplifter shoving clothes into her bag she decided she’d teach her a lesson. In an unusual example of vigilante justice, the retailer, whose store had been hit by a spate of thefts over the previous two weeks, pinned shoplifter Li Wu to the ground, took a pair of scissors and hacked off her long dark hair. Lu Sun, 32, had lost hundreds of pounds worth of goods from thefts at her store at a shopping centre in Wenzhou, China, so decided to keep a close watch on Li Wu when she saw her acting suspiciously. She said: ‘I watch so many people everyday, so I can tell thieves from others easily. ‘When I noticed the woman sneaking around in the shopping mall, I knew she was up to no good. ‘So, when she came into my shop, I was alert and finally caught her in the act.’ Miss Sun was helped by a neighbouring shop owner who held Wi Lun down while she cut off chunks of her hair. The pair then called the police and had the shoplifter arrested. Miss Sun added: ‘I decided to do it to teach her a lesson and to send a message to other thieves in the area to stay away from my shop.’ Miss Sun is by no means the first shopkeeper to dish out a painful lesson to thieves. Last year Edinburgh retailer Arfan Hussain became an internet sensation when CCTV footage of him apprehending a thief went viral. The thief tried to steal £2.30 worth of milkshake – but didn’t bargain on shopkeeper Mr Hussain being a former Tae Kwon Do champion. He was hailed the internet’s next ‘Big Man’ after he posted the CCTV footage on YouTube. A lesson learned: Lu Sun was helped by a fellow shopkeeper as she pinned the shoplifter down and hacked off her hair Other shoplifter’s bizarre methods ensured that they were brought to justice. New Jersey thief Anthony DiVietro managed to escape the clutches of the security guards at the store he was trying to rob after they spotted him acting suspiciously and gave chase. But DiVietro’s bizarre practice of dancing while he stole came back to haunt him. CCTV footage of him showing off his moves while stuffing his waistband with products he hadn’t paid for back in 2011 became an internet hit and he was arrested after someone recognised him. Overall the administration has recorded some highs and some lows nevertheless for the country to achieve any meaningful development we must rise above sectarian divisions, promote objectivity and patriotism and in the end Nigeria will be a better place for us and our Children. Bus Preacher Beaten To Coma In Lagos After Condoms Fell Out From Bible Mayhem broke out at Toyota Bus stop, in front of the popular Ladipo Spare parts market, this morning, when a Bus Preacher was dragged out of a bus and beaten to a coma after Condoms allegedly fell out of his bible as he preached the ‘Word of God’. The Pastor had embarked on his journey at Apapa and proceeded to preach to the people on thebus, using very strong words like “If you wear trouser you’ll go to hell! The Devil invented Make up! Weave on is from Marine Kingdom! If you have pre-marital s*x you will burn in hell and your skin will peel!” The people in the bus were so moved; some started falling under the anointing. Our eye witness, Mr. John Mbakogu, who was on his way to his shop at Ladipo told us: “People were just falling as he was layinghands. One man even fell out of the bus under the influence of the Spirit. It was amazing – until he raised his hands to cast demons out of one girl, and 2 Durex condoms fell out” The angry men on the bus who had been having pangs of guilt due to the pastor’s preaching about s*x suddenly got really angry and pounced on the pastor, who allof a sudden started shouting “I also preach safe s*x! Safe s*x is good!” Too late. Policemen had to be called to the scene to save the pastors life. So far 2 arrests have been made, and the Condoms have been kept as evidence Posted by Information Nigeria on May 26, 2013. |
