Yes oh, but Bros, Wendall wasn't 'compensated' oooo!
Wendall won as a result of the flawless brilliance of the Zimbabweans that season. I know what I'm saying. I was a quiet observer of the Facebook pages right from the sidelines in 2011.
The same wisdom they applied is what I've been trying to convince us into using here, but it hasn't been very successful.

These Zimbos would observe the nominees every week, take note of the disadvantaged ones, and then, VOTE for them. So, in the end, when the housemate crashed out with just the home country and Zimbabwe as votes, the home country would show gratitude to Zimbabwe by voting Wendall.
These guys voted Malawi, Uganda and even Nigeria that season.
They were the most brilliant that year. Luclay fans still can't work out what hit them that year.
LOL. It's safe to assume Zims are the real kings in this regional voting. Even 14 agreed they take it so serious that their president watches it too. gringrin I think if Nigerians take this BBA serious like Zims (in terms of voting), we might become as strategic as Zims. Even Zims in SA overpower SAn voters sometimes. These guys means business. grin

Melvin had one of the most boring DS last year. Eish!!

Melvin didn't fall out with any region or housemate, but he didn't build a special bond with any, either - so, when the chips were down, those countries went for their 'besties'.
Elikem was hated in Tanzania and Botswana, but LOVED in Zimbabwe.
Uti was hated in Zimbabwe and South Africa, but LOVED in Kenya and Uganda.
Dillish and Namibia were hated by SADC for their constant butt-licking of EA and West Africa, but strongly supported by Oshiomhole Nigerians and East Africans.

It's about PICKING a side and running with it, regardless of the number of toes you step on; regardless of the number of enemies you make.
Melvin just wanted to be 'cool' with everybody, played safe and acted tortured whenever he was called in to nominate.

Real G's POLARIZE viewers wink
You're right, and I acceded later in my post to Decanta that he didn't build any special bond with any HM. If checked properly, I'm sure Melvin got Nigerians vote by few percentage over Beverly fans' votes. Apart from Wendall (who we know was compensated cos of Munya) and few other winners, I doubt any winner didn't burn bridges along the way to his or her victory.

IN other news,MAcky2 is the richest Zambia artist with an estimated net-worth of 5million Kwacha ($1 million).Seriously what is this guy doing in the house if he is that rich.He is famous and rich so what next
He's more advantaged than other HMs. Biggie shouldn't be bringing established celebs like Macky2 to compete against relatively unknown HMs. This is why Mira was sacrificed for Trezegah.
TV/MoviesRe: Big Brother Africa 'hotshots' Official Thread by ochon: 8:33am On Nov 07, 2014
Decanta, I agree with you that Melvin being friends with everybody killed his game cos at the end of the day, no one except Dillish and Elikem was truly his friend/close friend. He didn't align with any particular HM and hence, why no region reached out to vote for him.
TV/MoviesRe: Big Brother Africa 'hotshots' Official Thread by ochon: 8:25am On Nov 07, 2014
decanta:
Melvin unconsciously burnt several bridges,he nominated practically all the housemates ( wrong strategy) he was friends to almost everybody and a friend to none ( maybe except dillish)his goodu goodu attitude was his downfall, why he didn't create many enemies ,his playing too safe didn't leave him with much alliance ........all the housemates in the final week had people who are closer to them than they were to Melvin, even sierra Leone would have voted Beverly over Melvin (if Beverly comported herself well)because even Beverly was a lot closer to basaey than Melvin was....... The dude played a bleeped up game .
Melvin burnt SEVERAL bridges by following Biggie's rules and nominating HMs? Oh, you expected him to come to nomination sessions saying "I nominate Melvin, because I don't want to burn several bridges. And I nominate Elikem/Beverly because they're my bothers, so they would understand?" huh What's the use of nomination session if people can't nominate HMs? Or you expected Melvin to nominate the viewers? huh How is nominating (a rule) in Biggie, burning bridges?

You don't grasp what's burning of bridges. Burning of bridges is Owlneal hating on an ENTIRE region and thereby killing his chances of getting votes from that region. Burning of bridges is Pokello saying fùck WA (or is it Nigerians?) not knowing the same region/country voted for her. Comprehende? wink

oh please tell me how many bridges Bassey and Melvin burnt? This is just bullocks, there are no tools to even build bridges with cuz everybody is only interested in attacking the Nigerian rep. You need to stop making it seem like the game is fair cuz it's not and it's all Endemol's fault
Stop arguing with guy, he's blinded by his own biasness. Melvin burnt NO SINGLE bridge, fell out with NO HM or COUNTRY/REGION yet he ended up with one vote. If Beverly was loved more by Nigerians, she for even collect that vote from Melvin's hand. gringrin Burnt or burnt bridge, the chances of winning favours SADC countries.

He also said that he changed his mind on pursuing her after she told him not to speak about his son so much.

I hope she doesn't meet a guy that already has a kid(s) because it sounds like she's made of wicked step-mother material. The type that would be in fierce competition with the kids over their father's affections. That chick is extremely me-centric.
Wow!! For real? I'm glad Frankie ended his crush/affections over her. Ellah is annoyingly dumb, and she doesn't hide it. How can she order Frankie not to talk about the one person his life revolves around? If I was a single father and a girl I'm interested in tells me not to talk about my son, she's already off my list cos I can't marry someone that won't like my son. She's very me-centric, everything must be about her. We need somebody bold to shut her up.

#BBHotshots Diary Room Confessions

In the diary room, everyone told Big Brother they were really happy that they had won the task presentation, but he was more interested in probing them about the festivities thatturned sour the night before after they received plenty of alcohol from Biggie.

Mr. 265 told Biggie the source of the tension was "the third
party", namely someone who butted into other people’s fights without knowing the whole story. At Biggie's insistence, he named Tayo and Sipe as third party types, but the latter admitted that she did not know why she had become involved in the argument and should probably have kept her distance.

Frankie confessed he did not have the guts to go straight to
Ellah about his crush, and said he thought they had been
joking around in the kitchen last night, before realising that
Ellah was being serious and truly upset.

Butterphly felt housemates were using drinking as a platform to tell people how they really felt, which she did not think was advisable. Nevertheless, she told Biggie they had still had a lot of fun. Big Brother asked her a few tough questions too, wondering if she was being targeted by Mr. 265; but the Zimbabwean was confused, uncertain of the signals Mr. 265 was sending.

There was a firm reminder about house rules when Macky2
entered, with Biggie telling him not to wear his sunglasses
inside the house. Permithias was also scolded for not coming to the diary room as soon as had been called. We've already seen strikes and punishments in the past few weeks. With housemates forgetting simple rules and getting embroiled in one another's problems, will we see someone else slip up?

Check out that page and see comments blasting Mr.265 for gossiping. This dude is struggling to collect the gossiping crown. SMH.

SADC can't amount to a shot glass of early morning piss in competitions with fair regional representation, like sayyyyy... Football grin
They get served real hard all the time.

Imagine a show tagged Big Brother "AFRICA" where they make up almost 50 percent of the total voting blocs, yet they still shhitt their pants over Nigeria.
*sigh* Inferiority Complex, e no go better for you.
True that. If Biggie makes this a fair regional representation, 14 and co won't be here touting JJ as being a stronger HM than Tayo. The day this show becomes fair for all, I won't bother myself looking the way of Moz for alliance. But due to unfair country slots, EA and WA always have their chances of winning resting on SADCs' hands. So unfair.
TV/MoviesRe: Big Brother Africa 'hotshots' Official Thread by ochon: 11:47pm On Nov 06, 2014
Safarigirl, you're somewhat right, we don't do regional voting as much as other regions.

ochon, no be we abandon KC for Sheila last week? No be we abandon Elikem for Pokello? We don't even do regions like them
Yep, we did, but we do regional voting too. If it's was M'am Bea, Nigeria would've voted out of "regionality." Why are we planning on voting Frankie this week? It's "regional strategizing" to get Rwanda to help us when Tayo is up for eviction. Don't get me wrong, I'm not against regional voting, all I'm saying is since Biggie can't curb the regional madness, then provide level voting ground for all regions!!

Based on your analyses, you see your boy has some work to do. Maybe SADC people can relate to JJ more than Tayo. Why this regional thing is only blamed on SADC, we are forgeting that East Africa has been voting as a block since the season one. But when West Africa do the same, its all OK. Your boy has an advantage because he has spent 6yrs living in SA, so he understands the culture, but his problem, he still behaves live a typical Nigerian, which is a turn off to the laid back SADC citizens.
Nah, Tayo has NO work to do but to give those sneaky boring, gossiping HMs like Sammy, hell, by BEING HIMSELF and being REAL. Every country including Nigeria (even me) is guilty of regional voting, our only grouse is the unfair advantage given to SADC countries. Since this voting is regional and all about alliance, Endemol should provide a level playing ground for all participating countries not giving SADCs the upper hand.

And what do you mean by the embolden? If not for sane and nice SAns like LaBellaMafiaZA and onge, I'd have insulted SA too, cos you insulted my country with that moronic line. SAns laid back? So Keegan that swears like a cursed brat is laid back? angry So Luclay is a laid back SAn? huh When Melvin was laid back, didn't y'all complain too? Go and sell your sermon to some unsuspecting naïve kid not me.

What sort of diversionary tactics is this?

You co-signed a post that's about how JJ took Tayo to the cleaners and how JJ is stronger than Tayo if they're both up for eviction, saying we the threadmates judge with our hearts; yet you couldn't realise that even boring Butterphly will floor Tayo as long as she's the only SADC rep up for eviction.

So I ask you again, what sort of diversionary tactics is this? huh

Thank u! Too many peeps here judge with their hearts rather than with Honesty.. I wish for that Eviction too so that the Too much talking could stop!
You are judging based on your heart too. Why don't you tell Biggie to put JJ and Tayo up for eviction and tell only ROA to vote, let's see how strong your JJ is. You have 6 SADC countries voting JJ and you here talking BS. Place both of them on a level ground and Tayo will best him in all categories!!
TV/MoviesRe: Big Brother Africa 'hotshots' Official Thread by ochon:
14:
We have bad analyser here, their judgement is based on individual they love alone, without analysing other housemates potentials. Thats when their favourate loses and they will be the first one to cry faul, that they were robbed. I just wish Tayo could come up against Marky2, Nhlanhla, idris. Then we can judge him how strong he is. But you saw last time JJ took him to the cleaners, i mean, the weak JJ.
Oh puhleaseee!! You are calling JJ's higher number of votes over Tayo, "taking him to the cleaners?" You mean JJ having the advantage of about 6 SADC alliance over Tayo's 2 WA alliance? Place JJ and Tayo on let's say a neutral continent like Europe and put two of them (only) up for eviction, and watch JJ will lose out this next day. I ain't bragging!! Your comparison is over flawed and skewed!!

When a protest, say a street one is organised, you ll find out that the hyper protesters amongst the crowd are normally those affected by the issue one way or the other.

LOL. So true. She's using Ellah as cover up. Her plans didn't work. She wanted Frankie to fall for her friend, and when her match-making failed, her ego was crushed. I don't see why she'd call Frankie a pùssy for not wooing her friend. If she's joking, it'd have been a different ball game. Maybe she's hoping Macky2 will woo her if Frankie woos Ellah. grin
