all these is to justify nonsense act, is Port Harcourt not part of Niger Delta, there are slumps in Lagos too. We have governors in there Niger Delta states, they should first hold responsible. they collect 13 percent derivation, how well were those fund used? |

fweshh:why are you deciding for her? This is simply why we have so many unemployable graduates, because a lot of student in the university just go there to study any course, not what they have passion for. Your duty is to ask her what she wants to study, and help her get what it takes to study that, if it means rewriting the exams and get the necessary requirement then encourage her. She has decided to resit the exams and you want to push her to study what you want and not what she wants, how do u expect her to do well? my friend it is not all about getting admission to university. Think, before you destroy your sister's future!!! |
It really baffles me how we nigerians think. Appointments from zones has been our major problem for a long time. when are we going to look beyond this zone thing, and think about putting competent people who will work and give results no matter where they come from? Appointment by zone is just to satisfy political interest and not interest of people and good result. For me as long as the person appointed is a nigerian and he is competent enough to give good result why not. if the person comes from your village and he is not capable to run the establishment what gain do you have? We should just stop all this crap called zone marginalization of appointment. it has not yielded any result so far? There are histories of people appointed to represent some zones and nothing was done in those zones to benefit the ordinary people. |
bigtt76:I wonder, coming to your own country again should be fun fair! governors will leave their states and other persons leaves their officies to go line up to receive him. and he jets off every other day and come back the same thing. I wonder how much lost hours of work every time he comes and goes out of the country that the country is ready to bear. it really does not look good for a country that need all hands on deck to revive the economy. |

omohayek:So people really think that PHCN, DISCO or what so ever the call them dont make profit. Since I am of adult age in Nigeria, I have never seen where NEPA, PHCN, DISCO willingly come to fix faulty transformers/electric lines or poles. It is the people who will contribute money to buy transformers, poles and cables. Yet people pay bills. take for example, a typical city of about 500,000 residents, if only 50,000 pay a average bill of 1000 naira a month, that is will amount to, 50m. in one month, in a year that will be about 600m. if we have about 10 cities in Nigeria with only 50,000 (fifty thousand) consumers paying electricity bill, then we are talking about 6billion in 1 year. This is excluding industrial users/consumers, whose bills run into tens of thousand of naira. There spend little or nothing in maintaining the distribution infrastructure, as individual consumer are made to contribute money to fix transformers, electric cables or poles. So if you do the maths for the whole nation, a lot of money is been generated by this so call NEPA, PHCN, DISCO- in the neighbourhood of tens if not hundreds of billions every year. What do they do with the income. They always make people feel they dont generate any money. Increasing the tarrif does not solve the problem. They have to check the corruption in that sector first. Again if the companies can not meet up with the supply or generation because of the value of Naira that is depreciating, how then do you think the poor populace will meet up with paying an increased tarrif. Salaries are not been increased, the reduced value of the Naira is affecting every one, not only the govt. |

Nigerians can believe every thing. The Tiper somersaulted, so that could throw the driver off the tiper either through the windscreen or through the side windows, if the he is not putting on his seat belt. that you see the mechanic, does not mean the driver will be seen seated on his seat. They should search the area and try to give the guy some help. he may be lying somewhere waiting for help. |
God bless you for what you are doing, May He grace you more grace. Please I have a dream, where I was lying down some where like i was hiding from people hoodlums kind of, and it was like i was having feverish feeling, and an elderly woman, was just checking around the place, and saw me, and place her hand on me, i think she perceive am feverish, so she went to make some kind of medicine, this native medicine, where u boil some leaves and use the steam, i was about leaving the place i wast telling some people there that i had to leave because I am not feeling well, so the lady asked that I should stay to get treatment, that I should not go like that since i am not feeling well that it is malaria, initially i hesitated but somehow i agreed, bUt while walking to the sit down, i was praying inside me, that i cover myself with the blood of Jesus, i can remember, i sat on some thing, there were green leaves on it, and they opened the hot pot, and that i should inhale the steam. Then I feel the lady put her two thumb on my head standing behind me, i felt the pain of her pressing her two thump on my head. later, she handed a note, it was written "for prayer and healing" like a complimetry card or something like that, then I woke up. Secondly, I had a dream it was like i was going to be killed, I was really shaken in the dream, it was it in a ship. it was like the Islamic Militants, It was like I can do nothing, though, they some of them were trying to have a second thought, then I woke up. i will appreciate if you response. Thanks and May the Good Lord reward you for efforts. |

Nigeria!! things are never straight forward for the ordinary person to understand!!. I pray we get things right some day!!! |
