My current employer pays me N50k monthly with accommodation & transport benefits. Now, I have a new job offer of N80k salary with no accommodation. And the monthly estimation of transport fare for the new job would be N36k (from the N80k). But the only thing I am considering now is the new position I am offered, which would be of great value to my career pursuit. The new pay is nothing to write about, I am only considering the value the new position would add to my CV. Actually, our agreement during the interview was N80k for the three months' probationary period & there would be increment with satisfactory performance. The first offer letter they sent had N60k pay for the probation & N20k increment afterwards, which I rejected. The new offer letter has N80k pay with no increment after the probation. And, I would sign a year contract with them. I doubt surviving in Lagos with the salary. My current job is not in Lagos.

Kindly advise me on what to do. I have just 24hrs to accept or reject the offer.

As an Experienced Engr, I will advice you go for experience. Take the new job, if you want to move up career wise. The experience will enable you apply to better companies having worked as as a field engr. You present job will keep you stagnant. Look at the future, don't let the small benefits deprive you of something that can open opportunities for greatness for you. Dont look at salary, as a young engr, you should go for experience.

If at the age and time of technology, people going to space to work in space station and live videos and pictures someone still need proofs that the earth is not flat, then the level of ignorance is beyond comprehension. If the earth is flat, then California in US will be at one end of a flat plane while Australia will be on the far east. Then the only way to travel from Australia to US to to go west. But you can travel east ward from Australia to the California US which is a shorter route.

Mr President during the stop over in UK for some days on his way from the US, could have used that opportunity for the check up, but instead, he spend the days there, come back to Nigeria only to leave a few days after, back to the same UK for check up.
