Hello There,

Is any one moving to Canada in the New year - Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, London, Windsor.
I am available for express pick-up at Pearson international. Please contact me here and I can share my what's-app.
Canada is still a pretty good place, if you have the right skills.

Happy Newyear and welcome to 2025.

Mikky.

I wish to continue to be part of this thread. I have gained a wealth of information here. Is anyone here going to University of Calgary (fall 2023) or do anyone here know of any WhatsApp/ telegram group for same?

Anfieldboss:
From your moniker, You just might be my namesake.

I'm working towards PhD Fall 2023 also.

My discipline is Electrical Engineering. At the moment I am preparing for my GRE and it has really been demanding. Combining work, family and trying to study has not been easy, but God has been helping me.

I will be taking my GRE August, If you're taking the test we can connect.

Ibukun1994:
How do I PM you, I am new on this nairaland app.

Ibukun1994:
Hello Odavi, do you mind if I ask you some few questions?

justwise:
Manchester is a very big city with affordable cost of living, there are more job opportunities in Manchester than Leeds and Sheffield. Leeds is London of Yorkshire , lively, big student community, good transportation hub and about 45mins away from Manchester.

Sheffield is big as well with two big universities,a well known shopping centre and two football clubs.

Job opportunities in Sheffield will not be as much as Manchester and Leeds

My preference will be Manchester-Leeds then Sheffield

All three cities have good transportation network and not far from each other.

Their universities are well ranked as well.

You contacted the embassy to ask for the visa to be cancelled?

In that case i don't think you have to pay another IHS but to be very sure contact the embassy to ask before making another application

justwise:
You contacted the embassy to ask for the visa to be canceled? Embassy? Do you mean UKVI? My visa has been canceled, I got a notification that already the day the program was defer..

In that case i don't think you have to pay another IHS but to be very sure contact the embassy to ask before making another application

justwise:
Is the first visa still valid? If yes, why do you want to apply for another student visa while holding a valid one?

Yes you will pay another IHS if you want to make a fresh application, you paid the first one and your application was successful.

Wahala for person weh hin school no indicate scholarship/discount amount for hin cas ooo.

Scholarship or no scholarship, just try and show full amount of tuition in your bank statement especially when it’s not indicated on your cas.

Cover notes helps as well. Some of these eco’s dey commit errors lately. Them no dey farabale at all.

Na you how much you go pay when you reach uk. It’s btwn you and your school.

I hate avoiding stories that touch.

Ibm08:
Name of the school and location?

eddymatti:
Please, how did you pay did pay for your visa and IHS fee? Was it through Naira master card? Was it priority you did and how long before you got your visa? Your reply will be appreciated.
Thanks.

Angelswt:
Congratulations

RalphJean:
Just have plenty money. Use black market rates to estimate. Then pay. If any remains, it’s in your account.

RalphJean:
Question is, what are you paying for?
