interesting, not only the immigration, I raise a question yesterday that what do you think the 26 security guards attached to his government house were doing while he escape? 1 did he used JUJU on them, i don't Blvd in that, 2 did he pay them off in $ and thirdly how did what travelling documents was he using, and how did he secure it. Those are questions that should be ask. |
Missworld will probably be the Nigeria next IBB 1st lady |
Good point, why talk of killing a man because of his believes? |
As much as i like OBJ, he will be the greatest fool on earth if he try to run come 2007. Every good thing must come to and end, and its better to leave once you are ahead than to be chased out. IBB did it |
Good thing we never had a ruler like Samuel DOE, IDI ARMIN and Taylor in Nigeria, so we are blessed |
If Taylor is quilt of all this crimes, where did he think he will escape to in the 1st place, he should be sent to face the music in Ghana must go bag. that Yoruba man saying is Finlay true the Ayipada olowo is not good. |
Can you believe he left his wife and kids behind trying to escape too, people are wicked |
This Taylor saga, USA is behind the whole deal, imagine they want to cancel talks with OBJ just because Taylor escape, if OBJ is a wise man, he should cancel his trip to the state and say to hell with the Americans, and manage his policies at home. This is why lots of hatread is geared against American government policies, its bureaucratic,a nd they only intervene if its in favor of their wealth. |
I hope all the African leaders are taking notes and the only reason Taylor is under presure now is because USA was involved, my question is why did it take so long for anyone to see the damages he did? |
Military intelligence, we talking of Nigeria here, abeg my brother money speak in Africa, its very well possible he escape without government knowledge, who is to say the man was in Nigeria before the diplomatic talk? IF MR ALAM GOV can escape from England that was supposed to have the best police and secrete service in the world, then how easy is it to escape from Nigeria house where there are no surveillance camera at government houses or building. |
interesting I am loving this. so who is to Blame, the security guards/ the president, or Taylor? |
chi una go leave igbo man alone |
HEC NO this is a family affair, and US and the British government only presure if they are gonna benefit from the oil. |
you guys seems to quickly forget it was USA that seek OBJ hand to give Taylor asylum. OBJ did not go to Liberia and say my brother come sit down for we backyard, now that alarm don blow, people are so quick to say OBJ free the man, How demoralizing, people please substantiate your info before you talk nonsense, perfect example, Charles Taylor in calabar, offer a security agent $100,000 dollar to stage his escape, what do you guys think will happen? 1 he will take the money and help the man escape? 2 he will turn Taylor in? I am curious to know what people think on this |
There is nothing they can do to BABA, charles will be caught and that is for sure, and if indeed this man is a war criminal, he should be brought to justice, |
You guys are making me sick did OBJ free this man? when ALAM escape from Britain, did anyone blame Tony Blair? all the security operative have been arrested, there is more to this story, people just watch close as the drama unfolds |
And who said Islam is a religion of peace? KABUL, Afghanistan - An Afghan man who had faced the death penalty for converting from Islam to Christianity has been released from prison after the case was dropped, the justice minister said Tuesday. Italy's foreign minister will ask his government to grant 41-year-old Abdul Rahman asylum. Foreign Minister Gianfranco Fini, who was among the first to speak out on the man's behalf, will ask for the permission at a Cabinet meeting on Wednesday, the Italian ministry said in a statement Tuesday. The announcement came after the United Nations said Rahman has appealed for asylum outside Afghanistan and that the world body was working to find a country willing to take him. Justice Minister Mohammed Sarwar Danish told The Associated Press that the 41-year-old was released from the high-security Policharki prison on the outskirts of Kabul late Monday. “We released him last night because the prosecutors told us to,” he said. “His family was there when he was freed, but I don’t know where he was taken.” Deputy Attorney General Mohammed Eshak Aloko told the AP that prosecutors had issued a letter calling for Rahman’s release because “he was mentally unfit to stand trial.” He also said he did not know where Rahman was staying but that he may be sent overseas for medical treatment. 'Abdul Rahman must be killed' Hours earlier, hundreds of clerics, students and others chanting “Death to Christians!” marched through the northern Afghan Mazar-i-Sharif to protest the court’s decision Sunday to dismiss the case. “Abdul Rahman must be killed. Islam demands it,” said senior Cleric Faiez Mohammed, from the nearby northern city of Kunduz. “The Christian foreigners occupying Afghanistan are attacking our religion.” Several Muslim clerics have threatened to incite Afghans to kill Rahman if he is freed, saying that he is clearly guilty of apostasy and deserves to die. Rahman was arrested last month after police discovered him with a Bible. He was put on trial last week for converting 16 years ago while he was a medical aid worker for an international Christian group helping Afghan refugees in Pakistan. He had faced the death penalty under Afghanistan’s Islamic laws. The case set off an outcry in the United States and other nations that helped oust the hard-line Taliban regime in late 2001 and provide aid and military support for Afghan President Hamid Karzai. President Bush and others insisted Afghanistan protect personal beliefs. U.N. spokesman Adrian Edwards said Rahman has asked for asylum “outside Afghanistan.” “We expect this will be provided by one of the countries interested in a peaceful solution to this case,” he said. Asked whether the U.S. government was doing anything to secure Rahman’s safety after he was released, State Department spokesman Sean McCormack said in Washington that where he goes after he is freed “is going to be up to Mr. Rahman.” He urged Afghans not to resort to violence even if they are unhappy with the resolution of the case. The international outrage over Rahman’s case put Karzai in a difficult position because he also risked offending religious sensibilities in Afghanistan, where senior Muslim clerics have been united in calling for Raham to be executed. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/12022144/ |
IF i must say one thing IBB is not alone in the saga all his cabinet members were just as guilty as he is, but he was the leader so I guess we take it out on him, one thing I don't understand is how this wicked people undermine Nigerians and are seeking to come back and control the treasury? Money they say is the root of all evil, why cant they just leave Nigeria alone and enjoy their ill gotten wealth? but I guess not until we prosecute and disgrace this guys they won't learn. |
I don't care who win the presidency as long as they have the interest of the common man in mind and create jobs, there is a yoYorubaaying that it's better to stay with the devil you know . |
any one that vote for IBB deserved to die eating off the dust bin like Umuru DIkko predict long time ago |
Missworld I bet you are happy to see your role model planing to contest come 2007. If prominent people like Gani Fawehinmi who was impression during IBB are all up against the idea of IBB, I wonder what will happen if indeed IBB do become president? |
Seun with a car Like that $600,000 U will command attention and females will call you mr sexy trust me on this. |
davidylan Impressive, I totally agree with you, if Nigerians abroad wants to take part in Nigerian politics, they should renounce their foreign citizenship. so there will be no save heaven for them to run to after committing any crime in Nigeria. |
Do you thing Nigerians abroad have a role in Nigerian politics come 2007? |

I see ladies are getting excited over this types of men |
That is a lie, I just came back from Nigeria in December mama, and things are gonna get better, when IBB was in power we didn't have cell phone. |
no reason to discuss this with you mama, i was in Nigeria when IBB was in power, and ill rather be a slave than to see that man rule Nigeria ever again |
Well seun I disagree on this note, I think the youth action is appropriate in this situation, there is nothing more frustrating than getting a college education with student loan hanging over your head and there is no job to compensate your for all the hard work, the government need a wake up call to focus on jobs creation and economy instead of supporting the war in Iraq |
PARIS - Police loosed water cannons and tear gas on rioting students and activists rampaged through a McDonald's and attacked store fronts in the capital Saturday as demonstrations against a plan to relax job protections spread in a widening arc across France so this Job thing is all over the world not just in the state and Nigeria. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060319/ap_on_re_eu/france_job_protests |
Three gruesome years after the occupancy of Iraq and innocent people are killed, still no weapons on mas destruction, no osama, Na wa for America i beg. http://www.cnn.com/2006/US/03/19/war.protests.ap/index.html |
