I went to EDO this past Xmas, and I have to agree with you, the roads are bad and the town is a mess, but one thing I noticed is that your Governor rides around in a Lexus 470 truck. how accountable is that? and you can just look at the people and see hunger. But lets not forget the governor's father is wealthy too, so how do you distinguish personal wealth, inheritance? and My people money? |
WHY Igbinedion ? can you give us some reason why please? |
Well if this Governor actually is guilty of stealing, where is EFCC, RIBADU and his boys? what next. I am sure all other Governors are scared now. ONE NATION MAN. |
I blv in justice, if the Governor was guilty of all the allegations against him, let him hang, I just don't think 90 minute to present his defense was ampule time considering the magnitude of the case. and again, I am not in Nigeria what do we know. |
I don't care what any one says that man has done a wonderful job for Nigeria, as a matter of fact is is the only achieving president we have ever had. at least, thanks to his administration we have MTN AND GLO AMEN. |
her role is welcoming visitors to her husband MICOCCINA in MINNA |
Princes LOLA said Nigeria I love My country, lets HOPE and PRAY. ego better |
Nigeria is a great country we just have bad leaders and corrupt politicians, I went back to Nigeria after 15 years, and I have to tell you, I was disappointed in the things I saw. I was opportune to meet with 5 traditional rulers and 4 state Governors, I expressed my feelings on the infrastructure and the transportation system in the country. and mark my words my goal is to return to Nigeria in 5 years and make a difference. there are people sufferring and don't even have hope. we can change Nigeria and it has to start from some where. |
I don't agree with that statement Seun. Just because we are overseas don't mean we don't care and think about our country, we all love Nigeria and care about the current event in the country. the issue in Nigeria is corruption and it need to be tackle either within Nigeria or outside the country, and not until you and I and other fellow Nigerians take the responsibility of restoring justice verbally or any how we can, the country in going no where. How can one man initiate a collaboration, that I put you in office and I can remove you slogan? |
Who cares about mariam. what did she do for Nigeria as a !st lady? |
Two bored casino dealers are waiting at the craps table. A very attractive blonde woman arrived and bet $20,000 on a single roll of the dice. She said, "I hope you don't mind, but I feel much luckier when I'm completely nude." With that, she stripped from the neck down, rolled the dice and yelled, "Come on, baby, Mama needs new clothes!" As the dice came to a stop she jumped up and down and squealed... "YES! YES! I WON, I WON!" She hugged each of the dealers and then picked up her winnings and her clothes and quickly departed. The dealers stared at each other dumfounded. Finally, one of them asked, "What did she roll?" The other answered, "I don't know - I thought you were watching." MORAL: Not all blondes are dumb, but all men are men. |
In some Way, I kind of feel the president has some favoritism on this issue. The only sad part is when two big elephant fight the grass will surfer, and you and I know it's the Innocent peasant people that will bear the burden. |
My question is why are this people so blind and they cant even take the time to see the kind of future they are setting for their children and grandchildren? I still ADORE FELA today, that man said in 1990 we don't have democracy in Nigeria its demonstration of crazy |
This is shameful and I am disgusted at the event, is this justice? how can a governor elected by the people be impeached without due process of law? is it because the Godfather is so rich and powerful that people are scared of him? please someone please enlighten me on this issue. If the Governor was given adequate time to counter his defense, then it will be another story. |
Why is this single man so powerful in Oyo, and trying to get the elective governor out of office. why are the people of Oyo state not coming out to defend their Governor, any clue on this battle? |
Well OBJ didn't put the money in his briefcase as well and in his house. |
ONO My father used to say son you will have nothing to be afraid of as long as you live a good life, the question of the Governor been framed is totally ridiculous to me, How much does this guy make in salary to be able to afford a house he had in London, and who frame the money found on him and the one found at his house? the problem is this guys think because they have immunity in Nigeria you can do it any where else. Why did the governor jump bail, and ill rather they go through the due process of law in Nigeria. This man will strike a plea bargain in Britain and go scot free as long as he plan to forfeit his asset and never plan to return to Britain. TAFA Balogun said he was framed too when he was arrested, and all of a sudden he pleaded guilty to get a lesser jail time. |
Seun, word up you just said what I had in mind, how can you have effective policeman when they are lacking benefits and salaries. you can not run effective force with out training and equipments, and as we've all seen where the money was going. |
This are all handy work of IBB loyalist, people lets not forget the guy Alhaji Gambo Jimeta was the Inspector general of police during Babangida regime. Lets not forget. This is the same guy that said Obasanjo regime is more corrupt and worse than Abacha regime. this guys are just trying to find way to gain credibility to the next election. Nigerian politicians are playing dirty games at all cost. http://allafrica.com/stories/200511280414.html |
The only question I keep asking myself is what will happen after Obasonjo? is the EFCC still gonna be in effect or will the be another organization responsible for checking all the mis appropriation of funds and looting? |
This is good news to all political aspirants and current seat holders, no one is above the law and I commend the present administration for making this guys a scape goat to others. Maybe the elected officials will start doing the jobs they were elected to do it the 1st place and quit worrying about looting. |
Abeg forget about immunity nonsense, Bill Clinton has immunity too and was paraded in front of the world as a no good husband. All the man did was have sexual relations, to me this governor crime supersede Bill and he should be force to resign with immediate effect. If Tafa was forced out of office, then why spear this man, that is not sending a clear message across the board. |
That is just too funny, JJC MONA nice try |
Well someone should tell this angry bitter Mogul that history is meant to be broken, and I will love to see the present Gov to a second term. |
No way Jose, you can not drive in the US with a Nigerian drivers license. 1st in the state you are required to pass a driving test before you can operate any automobile, and most state required you to have a valid insurance on the automobile, and there fore the answer is no. and that international drivers license is for people in Porto Rico or Virgin highland |
Bishop4u: Well that is a huge amount of money to let go, which further attest to the fact that this GOV is a criminal, and that money for his bail was probably part of the stolen money from Nigeria. No man will forgo such a huge amount of money for nothing, unless you are Bill Gate. |
By the nature of the crime you know this man is a Yoruba man. Hausa man will open a swiss bank account and keep the money there like abacha and coo |
this is not a joking matter, and selective or not the EFcc is doing a phenomenon job, we must start rooting out the bad eggs we elect to power one by one, and that will send a clear message to the future and present elective officer that there is no save heaven for criminals, one day you will be judged. I am so upset on how this people loot money to foreign country and my fellow Nigerians are still chasing MOLUEE in Lagos, there is Money in Nigeria but the elective officials are just greedy and leave us to die in poverty. |
I will pick myself cause I dont know no one here, and I like tyo know people before I date them. holla back |
Both you guys are pathetic asking the government to leave this man alone. The man is a criminal and should be prosecuted and jail just like Tafa Balogun was jailed. That is the problem with Nigerians, we all need to come together and say no to corruption. Regardless of who you are, if you stole public funds for your own vendetta you should be disgraced and impeached. |
Looser, get your own girl and leave your cousin ex alone. that is insulting for you to even consider her. |
