He initiated the condtruction of Tinapa business resort reckoned as the biggest business resort in Africa. The resort has about 80,000 square metres (860,000 sq ft) of lettable space for retail and wholesale made up of four emporiums of 10,000 square metres (110,000 sq ft) each and smaller shops, warehouses, etc.He created Calabar Carnival ' Africa's Biggest Street Party' in 2004. the carnival. they carnival creates employment annually and attracts tens of thousands of tourist in and outside Nigeria to the state. Duke as a governor also made strides in environment by building structures and employing policies that made the state the cleanest in Nigeria In the first place is Chibuike Amaechi (Governor of Rivers state 2007-2015) Honerable Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi is just a governor in his own class. his vision is legendary and can be best be describe as a leader of 'numerics with quality' his famous 60/60/60 project(health), 500/24(Education), 13,000 teachers (Employment), etc. Quantifiable projects some would say. there is no single governor in Nigeria that have touch all the sectors of the economy as much as the former Rivers governor. He did wonders in Education, Health, physical infrastructure, Job creation and human capital development, Agriculture, Sports, power, etc not only did he touched all these sectors but he did that with outstanding quality. In Education he built from the scratch the best public schools in Nigeria numbering hundreds and scattered in all nook and cranny of the state. the schools are equipped with ict facilities, library, sick bay, sports facilities like football pitch, basket ball court, volleyball court, etc. the schools are absolutely free with free school uniforms and books. No wonder the state attracted the UN book capital. In health he built over a hundred primary and secondary health centers well equipped and are absolute free for all. He subsequently employed and trained over 700 doctors to man the health centers. in human empowerment and job creation, he sponsored over two thousand youth for overseas scholarship and employed over 13,000 youths as teachers. In physical infrastructure he elevated the state from a state that barely has less than two carriage Roads to one with tens of dual carriage roads with street lights, sub drainage system and pedestrian walk way. constructed several bridges and interchange. In sports he built a sport village that will pass for international Olympic games with 40,000 stadium capacity, two standard volley, basketball court, two Olympic size swimming pool, etc. In power he added over 300mW of power to the national grid. In agriculture he employed thousands through Songhai farm initiative, Banana plantation, Buguma fish farm reputed as the largest fish farm in Nigeria, etc. other legacies include the greater Ph, first phase of monorail project, rainbow town and other housing projects. www.nairaland.com/attachments/3797406_3492941ama101jpege1faa1a15a3d68752f2d50ea8bd8811e_jpegb9d239b3628ade087f92ec67d1e3151a www.nairaland.com/attachments/2081319_sch4_jpeg1b72f37b9aa3d06819e5a1e2dc6d0f57 www.nairaland.com/attachments/3795636_113142836_jpeg994811eed529afe6d48d91425ad47d62
|

Must the Governor foot her burial bills. this is the hypocrisy we have in this country. the Governor should not use public funds to fund burial ceremonies for people who did not serve the country meritoriously. TriumphJohnson: |

Crime / How Does He Get his Title Document Back From Access Bank (photo) by odi1278(m): 8:33pm On Apr 26, 2017 |
Good day all nairalanders. How do my friend Mcdonald Scientific emporium ltd retrieve their title document (deed of assignment) from Access bank plc. Mcdonald Scientific emporium ltd and Access bank entered into an agreement to for an overdraft of N10m in July 2012 with legal mortgage as a security to the facility the bank granted to my friend. Access bank requested for Mcdonald scientific emporium Ltd title documents which was presented to the Access bank. the title documents were certificate of occupancy and deed of assignment. The pre-condition for the loan before disbursement is for my friend to submit and execute a legal mortgage by submitting their title documents. My friend did this by submitting both the certificate of occupancy and deed of assignment on the same property (Please note that the deed of assignment supersedes a certificate of occupancy if the two title documents are on the same property). The bank went ahead to disburse the overdraft facility to the customer. Fast forward after a couple of years and my friend had paid down on the loan disbursed. The customer requested to the bank to collect the title documents submitted to Access bank but Access bank stated that they could not locate the deed of assignment only the certificate of occupancy. The bank stated that the customer did not submit the deed of assignment. The customer is in a dilemma on how he can get his documents from Access bank as all efforts to get Access bank to give them the deed of assignment has proved abortive. Access bank stated that the customer did not submit deed of assignment to them. One would wonder how Access bank will disburse a facility especially an overdraft to a customer without the customer submitting the appropriate security documents before the loan is disbursed. I brought this here so if you guys know anyone that can help or what my friend needs to do to get back his title document because the process of getting Governor's consent on a new deed of assignment and cost scares the customer. Also assist on how the customer can retrieve his documents back as all entreaties to Access bank has failed. Cc;lacastical. Cc: seun cc.mynd44. Thank you all. Sorry for the English and words mix up. if you have a similar story, please share for us all to learn and how you got your documents back.

Crime / How Safe Are Title Documents In Banks - A Case Study Of Access Bank Plc. by odi1278(m): 11:23am On Apr 17, 2017 |
Good day all nairalanders. Happy Easter and happy holiday. How safe are your title documents (certificate of occupancy, deed of assignment etc) or that of your friends, business associates, customers and relatives etc in our deposit money banks as it relates to them collecting loans/facilities from the banks. A case study of Mcdonald Scientific emporium ltd and Access bank(formerly Intercontinental bank). We all know one of the requirements or pre-conditions before disbursement of loan/facility is the submission of title documents such as deed of assignment, certificate of occupancy etc especially as it relates to overdraft, term loan etc. Mcdonald scientific emporium Ltd requested and got approval from Access bank (previously Intercontinental bank) sometime in 2008 for an overdraft facility. The pre-condition for the loan before disbursement is for the customer to submit and execute a legal mortgage by submitting their title documents. The customer did this by submitting both the certificate of occupany and deed of assignment on the same property (Please note that the deed of assignment supersedes a certificate of occupancy if these title documents are on the same property). The bank went ahead to disburse the overdraft facility to the customer. Fast forward after a couple of years and the customer has paid down on the loan. The customer requested to the bank to collect the title documents submitted from Access bank but Access bank stated that they could not locate the deed of assignment only the title documents. The bank stated that the customer did not submit the deed of assignment. The customer sued the bank but the “Nigerian” courts agreed with the customer but refused to award damages to the client. One would wonder how a bank will disburse a facility especially an overdraft to a customer without the customer submitting the appropriate security documents before the loan is disbursed. I brought this here so if you guys know anyone that has submitted his/her title documents, they should re-confirm if those title documents are still with the bank especially Access bank. Before the banks starts telling stories that touch the heart. |
Romance / She Took My Money And Broke My Heart... What Do I Do??? by odi1278(m): 11:09am On Mar 15, 2016 |
This is my first time posting on this forum. Please pardon my pattern of writing. I met this lady while serving in one of the northern states way back in 2006, we became very good friends and started a non-romantic relationship. I later left after my service year but we kept in touch for about two years, then we stopped calling each other. She called me once every year after that but she usually hides her number. I later heard she was married and has two kids. She is a muslim while i'm a christian. Fast forward to January 01 2015, I got a call by 7:00am, lo and behold she was the one and she did not hide her number. We got talking again and she told me that she has missed me all this while but because of the difference in religion she had to let go. I later met her in March and we started a romantic relationship. We called each other late in the night, sent text messages, whatsapp and made skype calls. She later came over to my place and we had a swell time. We were obviously or thought we are in love. She got pregnant twice for me (which was really bad). She miscarried one while she had to do an abortion for the second one. Her husband recently relocated to Abuja and she had to move with him. I found out different men were always calling her (she is a very tall and pretty lady). Also we had issues based on distance and other sundry issues. She openly told me that she wanted to get someone else so she could forget me. I have spent quite a lot on her and taken great risks just the same as she has done for me (her sleeping with me and being married to someone else). We even took it far when I slept with her in her matrimonial home. She started acting funny recently and I'm beginning to have a change of heart. She now disrespects me and does not call me like before. She even told me that she was ready to marry me and even told her parents and husband about getting a divorce. This she did during the last one year and even before she called me that fateful day. I must confess I loved her back in 2006 and even now as I type this. The only reason why we could not continue then was because of our religious differences but we were obviously ready to take the necessary sacrifice to be together. I have visited her twice this year and we had a great time. Please not that I am also married and have 2 kids. I am really confused on what to do now. please need mature advice. |
