EFCC looked into Peter Obi’s case and they have nothing against him. He has no case of financial fraud or misappropriation against him. In order to categorize Peter Obi as the typical politician you have bring something that makes sense, not all these empty blanket statements and entitled opinions.

Is there any concrete ongoing legal case against Atiku or Uduaghan or George Akume? Does that mean they are clean? EFCC has a terribly bad record in successfully prosecuting former govs. Obi had a serious abuse of office case when he invested state money in his family biz, serious money laundering case when his aide was found with N200m cash in Lagos in 2013 and of course d tax evasion and code of conduct case as exposed in d Pandora papers. If Nigeria was China, Taiwan or Thailand or anywhere in Europe, Obi would had been serving at least 50 yrs in prison by now

Am sure u are a first time voter in 2023 if u are even old enough to vote. There is no standard time for INEC to release results, they work round the clock as the results trickle in, most of the results at ward, local govt and state collation centers are actually done and announced deep in d night, the collation and announcement by INEC is merely summation of what's already announced at d ward level so even if INEC waited till 10am, it still will announce same results as sent to it at night from the state collation centers.
As for desperation, Tinubu has never decamped to an existing party to reap where he did not show, he built from the scratch, he subjected himself to primaries and refused any consensus arrangement, even when Buhari's inner men and d party chair were openly against him,he won d election even when cash was seized, fuel was seized to make Nigerians turn against him, yet he won. Unlike Obi who in desperation has become a nomadic herdsman from APGA where he swore he will rather die than leave, to PDP, to LP and now to ADC and he keeps running away from primaries. A man that did 8 yrs as gov of a small state Anambra and did not drastically improve d state wants us to believe he will do 4 yrs and change a far more complex Nigeria. A man who is unable to resolve d crises in his small Labour Party in two years is lying that he will fix Nigeria in 4 yrs. Obi is shamelessly desperate honestly

Same way Ikas, Ukwanis are in same Nigeria with Igbos. Nigeria constitution recognize states, not regions. Language is a means of communication, it doesn't depict nationality. Chuwas, Katafs in Kaduna as well as Begiri in Bauchi speak Hausa but they are not Hausas. Some languages are more widely spoken so they have a way of dominating and overwhelming smaller languages. Ekpon is an Esan town near Agbor, gradually d Ika language is encroaching and Esan is no longer widely spoken. Does that make them Ikas? No.

The typical average Yoruba man in Lagos which are more than the educated, thinks once you're not speaking Hausa or Yoruba that you're an Igbo person.

What matters is not what others call u but what u call yourself. Many of us from the south call northern minorities like Chuwa, Katafs of Kaduna and Begiri of Bauchi Hausa cos they all speak Hausa and bear Hausa names. But that does not make them Hausa and they resent being called Hausas

Chief MKO Abiola left Nigeria unanounced on August 3rd, 1993. His team said that he had gone to seek international support.

I remember that period very well. The Federal Military Government ran an advert campaign on the NTA Network Service and the campaign was targetted at parents and guardians. They implied that Chief Abiola had fled abroad and that parents and guardians should not allow their children to suffer and die on the streets (protest) for someone that had fled abroad. They said that Chief Abiola and his family would not join the protesters on the streets.

Chief Abiola returned to Nigeria on September 23rd, 1993 and Channels TV and other media houses interviewed Senator Bola Tinubu after Chief Abiola's return.

I weep for the Nigerians who don't know history, who don't read and who don't know this man and dismiss him. In the case of Rivers, somehow, someway, rightly or wrongly Edison Ehie found himself as speaker backed by a competent Rivers high court.

He was the one who declared the seats of the 27 vacant.

All those names you mentioned didn't lose their seats because no one was really interested in following them up...

With a fair judiciary, there is no way on earth that someone who leaves their party that sponsored them to the Legislature without any division at the NATIONAL LEVEL of their party would not lose their seats.

Even if there was a defection, the Supreme Court has said neither d gov or even the courts can pronounce d seats of defecting lawmakers vacant. Only d Speaker has that power and if u read d relevant section of the constitution it actually says the Speaker shall give life to the provisions of that section. That tells u it's a political issue, not a legal issue and thus as long as a speaker is ok with ur defection, u are good to go. Recall that d likes of Saraki, Dino Melaye, Eyinaya Abaribe, and of recent Ned Nwoko all defected and they didn't lose their seats

APC has improved the downstream petroleum sector since 2015, so many local refineries now in operation. Under APC, local manufacture of tiles has developed, Nigeria is now self sufficient in tiles production, many Chinese coys make tiles in Edo and Ogun state, we hardly need to import them from China. Under APC the Fintech sectors have boomed, far larger capitalization and so many jobs created by them. Only sector developed under PDP was telecoms under OBJ. Movies and comedy in entertainment grew but fizzled out by 2014 but music picked up by then. OBJ built r serves, credit to him but GEJ fizzled it out on consumption, using it to defend d naira and in paying fuel subsidy. By d time he left in 2015 u could hardly cite any sector that grew under his watch neither could u point to d infrastructure he built

Seriake Dickson knew his opposition won't amount to anything so he did something honourable and symbolic by staging a walk out to put it on record. Which of Wike's successors summarily bulldozed him as party candidate after buying form for him, and then campaigned for him and imposed him as gov (some say rigged him in as gov)? That was when almost all d big names supporting Fubara now vehemently fought him when Wike was promoting him. So Wike did not owe his emergence to any former gov or anyone in Rivers like Fubara owed him. Let's be realistic here, there should be honour even among thieves
