ElSudani:All the Arab states in the middle east are a product of the collapse of the Ottoman empire in 1922. The allied powers Britain and France and Italy occupied Constantinople and implemented the Sykes-Picot agreement which divided d Ottoman empire along their s of influence. It was d allied western powers mainy Britain and France who drew up the borders of these modern Arab states, that was a hundred years ago. Go and find out if there was any vountry called Saudi Arabia or Jordan or Qatar in 1900. Don't drag me to give u a lesson in modern history which u won't pay for. BTW hope u now admit Arabs are not indigenous to Africa, that they were land grabbers and usurpers and therefore occupiers. |
ElSudani:So when exactly do u draw the line? The map of d middle east was drawn around a hundred years ago, that's not too long ago in timeline of history. Contrast whatever I said. How fair is it to allow Arabs keep d lands they stole and conquered in war cos it happened many years ago and refuse others, after all 1948 and 1967 is also many years ago |
ElSudani:Let's be fair as much as we can though that would always be very difficult. That land u call Palestine is disputed territory, both sides have legitimate claims. Unfortunately severally when peace was brokered for them to have two states, it was always d Arab side that refused d proposal. In 1947, 2000, 2006, d Arabs always were d ones that said no. Now who really owns d land? Does any of us own any lands? The land belongs to d conqueror otherwise how did Arabs come to live in Africa when their original home is d Arabian peninsula before d rise of Islam? They conquered north Africa and Sudan, Sudan used to be black, now it's Arab Republic and a member of d Arab league. How Doesn't that hurt u as a black man? Now back to d Arab Israeli conflict, there is no question that Jews were indigenous to that place, even d quran attest to that. Jesus was a Jew, Roman records confirm Pontius Pilate was actually Procurator of Judea meaning it was not a fairy tale. Roman Emperor Hadrian was d one who finally banished d Jews afte their rebellion and holdout at Masada, every Jew in that fotress fought to d death, not a single Arab was in that land to fight d Romans. The province was called Judea and Galilea, it was Hadrian that changed d name to Palestine, not d Arabs as they were still at d Arabian peninsula then. Twas d rise of Islam that brought Arab migrants there and they made d place their home so Palestine as it was now called was never their indigenous home. But I admit we are all migrants, even my grandfathers came from somewhere before settling in Uromi Edo state so I won't accept someone telling me their ancient grandfathers were once there before my fathers. Unfortunately wars have been used to settle claims like this and over so many years it favoured d Arabs as they used war to claim territory upon territory. Now let's look at Hebron, in d Oslo peace treaty, Israel agreed to give it up, same with Bethlehem which are now all in d West Bank. Hebron is from d word "Hebrew" which is d most ancient name of d Jews, it's were d founders of Israel are buried, Joseph, Jacob, etc, d place is called Tomb of d Patriarchs. So u can imagine d sentiments of d Jews to Hebron. Unfortunately for them, when d Arabs came, they built their own mosque right on d same place of d Jewish tomb of d patriarch and called theirs Ibrahimi mosque. That's same way they built d Alasqa mosque on d same spot where d Jews had Solomon's temple. Google Hebron massacre, it happened around 1922 when Arabs attacked and committed genocide against Jews, no repercussions. Now Israel took all these lands in 1967, tell me any country that has willingly gave back what she won in war. Tell me any Arab country that have back what she won in war. So Israel has been very benevolent. Look at Gaza, it was under Egyptian occupation from 1948 to 1967, why didn't they give Palestinians independence? West Bank was under Jordan from 1948 to 1967, why didn't they give Palestinians independence? My suggestion to d Palestinians is that they stop listening to those beating their chest and urging them to fight on. They should cut their losses, negotiate with Israel and get their state with concessions from both sides and renounce Hamas and Islamic terrorism of any kind, make their state a demilitarized one like Japan. They should learn to love their children more than they hate the Jews. |
ElSudani:Seems u enjoy d sound of war, d bombs, the cries, the use of children and women as human shields, the carrying of dead bodies of babies thru d streets for d cameras to see as if it's a trophy, then calling on d UN, ICC and ICJ to declare d war genocide when u should not had started it in d first place. My write up warns Iran and it's cheerleaders to halt any thoughts of war. Why that should upset u is what I don't understand Mr ElSudani! |
ElSudani:I didn't mention trade cos it's obvious and in my reply to u I did mention that only buffons won't see d correlation. Ok, also morons wouldn't see d correlation. If u are coming from suez canal from Europe, next call is d red sea and that's where d Houthis are. The Houthis are some of d nuisance/terrorist groups being prompted by Iran so any war involving Iran also involves d Houthis. When d Houthis were siezing ships a few months ago, did d war directly affect them? No. But cos it involves their other partners in d axis of evil being Hamas and Hizbollah, they started disrupting international trade and even cut underground internet cables that resonated as far as West Africa/Nigeria. Wars have ramifications far beyond the epicenter of action. I need not lecture u on this, I assumed it's learned adults that are on this platform. |
ElSudani:It affects international trade through d suez canal, it affects global energy prices, it therefore affects our livelihood. Also a nuclear leak anywhere in d world can find it's way to Nigeria's coasts. Except someone is a Buffon, the implication of wars in d middle east is too obvious not to see |
The events of the last 24 hours has exposed Iran as a mediocre third world country still at the rudimentary level of security intelligence, national security, military capabilities and technology. Over the years, the Islamic Republic and it's cheer leaders have portrayed Iran as an emergent global power able to take down the major powers. They had boasted that their military capacity was top notch and that they would deal with Israel ruthlessly whenever they deem fit. Their enrichment of uranium almost to nuclear warhead capacity was tainted as evidence that they had arrived and that Israel or even d US would never directly dare them. We tried to explain to the Iranian cheerleaders that d Islamic Republic has never successfully prosecuted any war save their stalemate with Iraq that ended in d late 80s and their arming rebels and terrorists around their region is not evidence of capacity. We explained to them that d ease with which Israel took out their nuclear scientists and head of their revolutionary guards showed they were no match for d global powers not to talk of d pin point elimination of Soleimani by d US and inability of Iran to retaliate decisively. So last month, when they finally shot missiles and drones that took upwards of 6 hours to reach Israel passing thru d airspace of other countries, 99% of them intercepted, Iran and their cheerleaders celebrated like they just won d world cup. Israel having been pressured by d US chose to reply symbolically and many didn't even get d significance, d missiles Israel shot at Iran were shot from deep around or within Iranian territory meaning that Israel could breach their territory without d consent or airspace of d neighbors. Then d disaster of May 19. Helicopter crashes are common, that was not d issue. Below are 1. Iran still uses a US made helicopter manufactured over 50 years ago. Since both countries broke relations since 1979, it means d helicopter must had been bought at d black market and it's parts whenever it needs servicing are bought at d black mkt. So Iran cannot buy helicopters from their so called friends like Russia and China such that they prefer to use a second or third hand helicopter for their president? 2. Iran has not fully mapped their country such that it took upwards of 15hours to locate d debris of the helicopter carrying their president? 3. Iran has no radar or satellite capacity to locate objects within its own territory that she had to call on d EU, Turkey, Russia and d Saudis to help them track their own Presidential helicopter inside their own country? It was ultimately a Turkish drone that located d wreckage according to some reports 4. Iran has not mastered d elements, d weather as it hampered their search for hours. If they were to prosecute a war with Israel or d US in terrible weather conditions, it means they would go completely blind Please let's advise Iran to go and rest. Any war with Israel would be a complete obliteration and we would be hearing cries of genocide and ICJ. They are not in same level. Such a war should never be allowed to happen. The international community should urgently take more seriously d issue of Iran's quest for nuclear weapons. They don't have d capacity and technology to maintain nuclear reactors. The world and that region in particular doesn't need another Chernobyl. If need be force should be used to halt d program and put it to an end. Iran doesnt even have military intelligence or d technology to resist an attack on their nuclear power sites anyway. Iran should be advised to stay at home and stop interfering in Lebanon, Syria and Yemen where they are arming terrorists. The regional ambition they aspire to is not for mediocre third world countries that embarrass themselves before the world by taking over 15hours to locate their Presidential helicopter crash inside their own country and crying yonother countries to come and help them. Let them concentrate on development and be a positive example to the world. A word is enough for d wise. |
Racoon:What was d charade at d PEPT? Cos Obi instead of bringing evidence brought meatpie boxes and never showed d figures with which he said he won? U wanted him to be elevated from third to first? He based his hope on disqualification of Tinubu and d PEPT citing the laws of d land could not disqualify him. And d 25% FCT? That itself was an embarrassment and a charade to expect a part of Nigeria to have a veto on d rest of us. So it was Obi, his lawyers and his Obidients that were a charade, not d PEPT |
SmartPolician:I hope this lawyer has not collected money from d community to deceive them? Lands within 200m from the coastline of any state belongs to the federal government, there is no argument on that, it's an extent law. Any structure within that 200m doesn't belong to any community. And which community buried their dead within 200m of d ocean? BTW can d lawyer define a shanty for us? |
Dumiles:He is young indeed at 71 in d dictionary of Obidients, same way Peter Obi is a youthful candidate at 62 |
favour32:Don't mind them, married woman would come to nairaland to confess infidelity, describe her family set up completely without fear that her husband or his friends may be on nairaland. These stories are all lies |
Cindypresh:But Buhari built and completed the second Niger bridge for d SE after so many years of failed promises. An ungrateful heart is an evil heart. Ndigbo should be grateful |
BeninRefugees:Sullivan Chime of Enugu was sterling, he is d best governor in d SE since 1999. How in d world did u not put Abia? OMG |
dre11:Davido is a talented musician but d guy seems to be very daft. Or did his father lie to him? How can u claim ur family owns four Discos? Oya name them. Your family is not among d richest in Nigeria, not by miles. The likes of Dangote, Adenuga, Rabiu, Elumelu, Jim Ovia and so many more also get children who don't brag and they are far richer than ur dad |
BigkokoRep:Childish conjectures. Yahaya Bello is not a factor by miles for 2027 pls. What's d electoral population of Kogi and for Bello who is Ebira, minority in Kogi? U guys made all d worst predictions about Asiwaju before d 2023 elections. He was not supposed to win d primaries, Oshiomhole was removed for that purpose, Buni was installed for that purpose, Edo was sold out by d presidency for that purpose, End sars burnt down Lagos in targeting him. Adamu Abdulahi was made APC chair to stop him, Lawan was chosen as consensus candidate for that purpose, Oyegun was head of screening committee to stop him, u remember d rule that statutory delegates won't vote, the electoral amendment NASS tried to correct which Buhari refused to sign? Statutory delegates didn't end up voting yet he won by miles. It was meant to stop him, d fuel scarcity and cash confiscation without a doubt were all meant to stop him. If all d above could not stop him, is it when he now has all d instruments of state in his pocket in 2027 that he will now be stopped? Abeg let's discuss more intelligent things, not these palmwine drinking conjectures. Yahaya Bello by next week will submit himself for trial, there is no big deal about him. He is not d first ex gov to be so accused. Stop reading meaningless meanings |
Kwaramustgoodag:Minimum wage is not d best indicator though minimum wage in 2000 was around N7,500. Today it's X 400%. But d best indicator is average wages. A fresh graduate joining a bank in 2000 as an Executive Trainer used to receive about 340K per annum. Today he receives close to that in a month meaning that wage band has grown over 100% |
Bridget95:Can u equally compare the price of goods and services between 1999/2000 and and 2014? Check d UK and US economy and inflation also, it's normal for prices to rise. Remember that real income has also increased, in 2000 how many people were riding jeeps, how many had cable TV's at home? Things that were luxury then are basic necessities today |
dashpressmedia:Cos of all those that contested d election, only Obi is still campaigning, celebrating bad news and disturbing fasting moslems by going to eat their food. Only his supporters have refused to accept d election results, have said Obi is their president and not PBAT. So Obi is d one courting attacks on himself |
AlexBells:Since all us fair in war, stop crying for a ceasefire, stop calling d UN and int community to condemn Israel, stop calling for ceasefire, let them fight till either is subdued |
elhakiimed:Are u kidding? So cos hostages are waving their captives goodbye means they enjoy being held captive? U don't sound human at all. Go and be kidnapped first, those kidnapped in Nigeria years ago like Nkem Owoh and Pete Edochie never said any thing bad about their captives when they were released cos of fear and trauma, would take a long time to get yourself back. BTW tot u said u were unbiased and wanted unbiased reasons for support? Do u consider urself unbiased? U are sounding like a terrorist sympathiser. |
elhakiimed:But Russia invaded Ukraine unprovoked, I mean govt of Ukraine didn't attack Russian territory before they were invaded. On the other hand govt of Gaza which is Hamas invaded Israel, attacked, killed and jidnapped their citizens before Israel retaliated, invaded in search of their kidnapped citizens. Are u saying u don't know this? |
elhakiimed:So how far back should we go? Both sides have been exchanging fire for so long. We all know Israel left Gaza completely in 2005 and dismantled all their former settlements there allowing them to rule themselves but they started throwing rockets at Israel. So if u claim it didn't start on Oct 7, how far back to do want to go so we can start from there? |
Gemid94:See d man that wants to be President of Nigeria. Nigeria's problem are 100X that of LP, so what will u do, avoid it? Peter Obi is like a eunuch struggling to take a girl's virginity. I keep saying Obidients don't even know Obi, they are d most imbecilic set of people ever, I hate even discussing issues with them cos they don't know and they don't want to know. See their so called Messiah. Shame |
hisexcellency34:Adebanjo is obviously senile. The Supreme Court has ruled that his trial is lawful and should proceed while d Federal High Court has denied his bail application. What has Tinubu to do with it? Let Mr Kanu face his day in court, if d court frees him d FG will appeal up to d Supreme Court. If d Supreme Court finally frees him he goes home. But if he is found guilty, let him serve d punishment and go to prison,.perhaps for life. He is not above the laelw pls |
Truths9ja:This Morayo always want to be politically correct, alwas yanning dust. But somehow being Aka Bashorun's daughter, family name has kept carrying her otherwise she isn't a very smart lady at all, her thought process hardly aligns properly. I recall when she said she doesn't trust her husband to bathe her baby daughter only to apologize and be crying on set two days later after backlash and d nonesense she said about her own employers during Endsars when d studio was burnt. Was shocked she still had d shame to return there where she works up to this day |
Putindbutt:Don't mind Makinde. He is not committed to State Police that's why he is not submitting memoranda. Yes it's d work of NASS but d presidency is asking for your input so that when it gets to d states u won't complain u were not consulted and use ur influence with your lawmakers to block it. State policing is complex, d bill to be sent to NASS needs d buy in of all d critical stakeholders but cos Makinde doesn't really want to shoulder d responsibility of policing his state, he is being coy. He doesn't want to be forced to account for his huge security votes. What would he lose if he sends his suggestions to NEC as they already agreed? If he opposed sending memo, why didn't he say so during d NEC meeting where d decision was taken? |
TrackerSK:U are commenting on a topic that's beyond your level. |
Ogbuu101:It was a different era then, naira was being subsidized which gave it an artificial value and it was too costly for Nigeria, we were borrowing to sustain it's value. So now d naira is no longer subsidized so this is good news. If d naira can stabilize to N800-N900, I will celebrate Cardoso and PBAT as d greatest ever |
sukkot:It's people that don't have money that call big money pass. Do u know what is £1m? Tell me where u will see £1m to hold in d first place except u stole from state Treasury which is not easy at all. At least show some respect for money |
CommonSense1967:And u think President Trump would show more tolerant to Hamas and Palestinians? Vote out Biden, vote in Trump and u will see US greenlight to Israel to complete d annihilation of Hamas and it's affiliated. Republicans in White House take no prisoners when it comes to any fight against terror |
kettykin:What are the successes of Peter Obi in banking that we will not hear world. That he was Chairman of a mid tier bank after being a major shareholder from being a trader? People have been Executive Directors, Group Managing Directors/CEO and Chairmen of tier one banks, in fact of more than one bank. Obi has never being an executive in a bank, he knows zero about credit or risk mgt or domestic/internation operations. So don't give d impression Obi was one superstar like that, no. Even as a governor d man was mediocre, none of u ever sang his praises as governor, twas only in 2022 that u all suddenly woke up and decided oh, it's your turn and Obi became ur poster boy |
