As for Obi, I believe we won't need to go to court to compell him since his Obidients groups have been virtually been blackmailing the rest of the world. Politics › Peter Obi And Atiku Should Also Release Their University Transcripts by Odibembem(op): 8:12pm On Sep 15, 2023 |
President Tinubu has been dragged for days regarding his academic credentials. Chicago State University declared he was their student yet they dragged d school so much that it had to lock it's Twitter page off comments.
Today, Tinubu's transcripts were released for all to see. In the spirit of fair play and justice, isn't it proper that d petitioner, Atiku Abubakar and his comrade Peter Obi whose group Obidients pride themselves in being able to drag and insult anyone or instituon also publish their transcripts? Why not? I am sure Peter Obi won't disappoint, he said he attended UNN and read Philosophy, some said he came out with third class but his team says he made 2/2 yet it's said he submitted GCE to INEC. Now we don't want any controversy, let Obi be a man and publish his transcripts to erase all doubts.
As for Atiku, we heard he did a diploma in ABU but we are not too sure of d course. Some said it's law, others said it's Hygiene but the man that demanded the transcripts of another should be bold enough to publish his own.
So Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar, when will you publish your transcripts for the Nigerian public as Tinubu just did? |

Seems many of u dont understand d concept of standard of living. Even if d economy was great and refineries working, fuel price would still rise due to economic expansion and inflation which is a global phenomemom. How much was your parents salary at that time? I remember when a big cousin of mine was earning N2,000 as an Assistant Manager in NDIC way back 1991 and weas little kids were shouting that d money was just too much. What was d price of crude oil during that time? In 1998 crude was like $9, today it's close to $80 so u still want price of petrol to stay same? If u have family in d UK ask them d price of train and bus transportation now compared to what it was 15 years ago, same with price of groceries, it has shyrocket. So try to understand that prices can never stay same. What we all should work and pray for is increased employment, increased income, increase productivity and increased standard of living. During your parents time how many of them could afford even coloured television not to talk of satellite tv? Most of them were cooking with firewood but today it's mainly clean cooking gas. How many of them could afford private cars, even to cook with vegetable oil was a luxury, they were bleaching palm oil to cook stew. Look at how far we have gone, there was never a time we all say down and said naija was good, we always complained, its only when we look back that we now say oh things were great whereas that's not really d case |

Isokotolopia: My former Governor of Delta State, his Excellency Former Governor Okowa has gone ghostmode since the Presidential elections were concluded.
My beloved Delta State has not been too lucky to have Governors in the mold of Akwa Ibom or Rivers state in terms of commitment to infrastructural facelift.
Governor Okowa secured over 170bn loan towards the end of his administration that money today cannot be accounted for. Rumors had it then that he used the money to finance his failed Vice Presidential bid.
It will be futile to ask EFCC to probe him as that agency is not even focused at the moment, las las na Delta State loose while political allelujah men continue to grow fat bellies in Isoko South.
Oghene biko, We pray Sherriff will be focused Prayers like this won't help. The problem with Delta is that they don't know how to hold state govt accountable. comrodioodio001: 100 DAYS IN OFFICE: Gov Oborevwori inaugurates multiple projects in Delta
...Identifies causes of project abandonment in Nigeria
Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State, Thursday, inaugurated multi-billion naira projects at the Dennis Osadebay University, Anwai-Asaba, as part of activities to mark his first 100 days in office.
The Governor who also also commissioned 29 network of roads with 31.45 line drains around Madonna College road in Asaba and Okpanam areas of Oshimili South and Oshimili North Local Government Council areas of the state, blamed the abandonment of projects across the country on failure or refusal of political leaders to continue with projects started by their predecessors.
The projects inaugurated at the Dennis Osadebay University, Anwai-Asaba, include; 500 and double 250 seater auditoriums, faculty building and furnishing of Faculty of Agriculture, Administrative building; Vice-Chancellors lodge; gate entrance and main entrance access road at the University.
Speaking separately during the inauguration of the projects, initiated by the previous administration at the University, Governor Oborevwori noted that government was a continuum and it was the duty of successive administrations to continue and complete projects initiated by their predecessors for the collective good of the people.
He commended his predecessors in the state for continuing with projects they met while also executing new projects and particularly lauded the immediate past administration of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for initiating the projects. Oborevwori said: "My joy knows no bounds as we commission this 500-seater Auditorium, two 250-seater Auditorium, building and furnishing of the Faculty of Agriculture, administrative building, main gate building, and internal roads in this citadel of learning.
"There are two reasons for my happiness today, first is that I promised Deltans in my inaugural speech that I will ensure that all ongoing projects embarked upon by the previous administration would be completed alongside new initiatives.
"Government is a continuum and it is the duty of successive administrations to put the resources of the state to good use by ensuring that projects are completed in a timely and prudent manner".
He explained that "One of the reasons for abandoned projects in our country is because of the failure or refusal of political leaders to continue with projects started by their predecessors.
"And this is usually informed by the fear that their predecessors will get the credit. However, this should not be the case if the focus of the leader is on the collective good of all.
"I am proud to say that in Delta State, we have had a history of successive governors building on the legacies of their predecessors. It is my honour and privilege to continue with that noble tradition as I give credit to the immediate past Governor of the state, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, for his vision and foresight in initiating these projects."
While underscoring the importance of education to the growth, development and advancement of modern society, Governor Oborevwori assured that his administration would continue to give moral and institutional support for the development of the three new universities.
"The second reason for my joy is that the completion of these projects underscores our commitment to the educational advancement of our people.
"Education and knowledge are two cornerstones of progress in any modern society. The emplacement of skilled and professional competencies for all the citizens and residents of the state is one of the priorities of this administration.
"It is also gratifying to note that enrollment into the university has continued to grow. This is undeniable proof that the decision to establish this university and two others in Ozoro and Agbor is justified.
"Our people are eager for quality education and we are glad that we have provided more opportunities for them to actualize their dreams.
"This administration shall continue to give the necessary moral and institutional support necessary to transform these institutions to centres of excellence in terms of their overall outlook and scholarship potentials", he said.
The elated Governor, challenged the University authority to prioritise curriculum development and innovation to make graduates meet up with challenging technological trends.
Governor Oborevwori said: "I implore the Governing Council and the Board of the university to prioritise curriculum development and innovation.
"In a time of rapid economic and technological change, the challenge is to develop courses and programmes that will enable the graduates to forge the strongest career paths, learn new skills, solve real world business problems, and develop the abilities and expertise to be in tune with global trends.
"This calls for hands-on and work-integrated learning as a direct response to the demand for professionals with market-relevant skills.
"Graduates from our universities must be well equipped with business knowledge and competencies in critical thinking, interpersonal skills, communication, ability to work in teams, entrepreneurial skills, as well as self, social, and ethical awareness".
In his remarks, the Commissioner for Higher Education, Professor Nyerhovwo Tonukari commended the Governor for transforming a bush into a citadel of learning with seven faculties and 40 programmes to cater for the growing population of the state.
Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Benjamin Oghojafor in his welcome address, said the establishment of the three new Universities was born out of the need to grant more access to higher education for Deltans, adding that the university was already filling the gap by providing excellent skills in various areas of learning to curb the high rate of unemployment in the country.
He said the university's academic programmes were one of the most sought after in the state, pointing out that they were in talks with the NUC to increase the school's admission quota.
Earlier at the road and erosion control inauguration, Commissioner for Works (Highways and Urban Roads), Comrade Reuben Izeze said that the completion of the project was a great relief to people of the area who had been plagued by massive flooding and erosion challenges.
Chairman Oshimili South Local Government Council, Dr Kelvin Ezenyili and his Oshimili North counterpart, Hon. Innocent Eseweze commended Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for consolidating on the achievements of the past administration in completing ongoing projects across the two local government areas.
They pledged the support and cooperation of the people of Oshimili South and North to the administration's M.O.R.E Agenda.
The State Deputy Governor, Sir Monday Onyeme, Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor, his deputy, Rt. Hon. Arthur Akpowowo, Secretary to the Government, Dr Kingsley Emu, Commissioners, traditional rulers and other top government functionaries attended the ceremonies. There is no sign of governance anywhere, he has not even spoken a out a plan for mass transit to cushion subsidy removal, Keke seems to be what oil rich. deltans have settled for. The OP is telling his own story, no one will tell yours for u so tell us your own experience. I too didn't grow up in d West, till 1999 when I moved to Lagos after my NYSC, that's why I know of d Lagos Stations. I grew up in Edo and d Radio stations we got there was mainly ESBS Enugu 96.1 FM. So my favourite DJs were Mike Anene, Kelvin Ugwu, Luke Mgbor, Gboliwe Iwobi (GB) lady with a very sweet voice and some other sweet voice ladies. There was this "American Top 40" with Shadow Stevens they used to relay, I never missed it. Of course Pete Edochie used to give us Music from the Masters every Sunday, he was an encyclopedia in classical music from Handel to Beethoven to Bach etc. Interesting how all of us in Esan axis of Edo were hooked to ESBS Enugu rather than EBS FM Benin. Benin also had their own like Senior Kings Ogbebor who presented Raggae on Tuesday nights, used to listen to him when I was in Uniben. But there was also this interesting program called Variety Show on EBS FM, it birthed great comedians like Friday Agbontaen, Thomas Ibhawah, Eliel Otote (Deputy in The Johnson). That was way way back |

Kingsmeal: Sometimes I wonder the kind of archiac system we practice in this country.
Everything in this country seems to be in the analogue way, despite the fact that technology is helping out this time.
Just few days ago, I read an online article that FG has released a sum of N5bn to States for subsidy Palliative and I wonder why doing so.
According to statistics, Nigeria's population is around 220m, then why is the FG giving N5bn to each state to use for palliative?
Why can't the FG pay in Nigerians directly into their accounts to support them in this trying time?
N500bn was already ear marked and approved for this subsidy removal Palliative.
This will even help to bring alot of people out of poverty and also support those doing businesses or another form of survival job.
Why is Federal Government giving states these money, knowing fully well that nothing will get to the populace.
Ordinary Covid 19 Palliative, we saw how all the states hid the pallatives, including traditional rulers, while the masses were crying of hunger.
The BVN can even be used to make these payments through the CBN directly to the accounts of every NIGERIAN. And even those that do not have accounts can even use the opportunity to create one and get their BVNs too.
Why is the NIGERIAN govt still practicing archaic administration? Why Why Why?
These said pallatives will be looted, some will be shared to party faithfuls and loyalists in all these states and not even the actual populace. Some will even use the pallatives for election Campaign and thereby making look like they're doing the people a favour.
Nigeria Why? Why are you still in this mudane practice?
Am really laughing so hard by this your write up. Am sure u are feeling so smart about what u just wrote. First not all Nigerians are vulnerable, many of them don't need the handout, things may be very tough for them but they are not in d margins. Those that need it are those in desperate situations, can't even buy food to eat not to talk of data to brouse internet. So there can never be blanket credit to everyone's account,no country ever does that. Secondly don't run away from your responsibility to hold your governors accountable. You elected these people at the state level yet u pamper and give excuses for them. Let them do the distribution, they are closer to the grassroots. I live in Asaba, Delta State, d people here are so muted, they never criticize their governors. The gutters are filled with debris, d entire capital city has no mass transit, it's Keke all around yet just listen to their call in programs on radios, u hear them abusing FG, abusing Buhari, abusing Tinubu, blaming FG even for flood and sanitation.
