Anytime southwest is taking the right directions, you will see zik and ojukwu people foaming in their mouth, even the ones that have never stepped their yam legs in Lagos?? Every Yoruba man came from Lagos the former capital of Nigeria built by the white people, Nigerians and Niger Delta oil money for donkey years before the capital was moved to Abuja and today Abuja is been developed in the same manner with the oil money and Nigerians. |

Nonexisting1: There's more fire in the opposition than in the coalition but there's fire everywhere. Gej coming into this equation is really game changer. Peter Obi I believe will humble himself to queue behind him and accept a strong ministerial role but Atiku will die a natural death in politics and emilokan will relocate back to Idagbiji. I will support Gej over PO because he has been a player who made some mistakes and have also been a spectator at the same time so he knows the mistakes and how to deal with them now. If there is someone to put us back in the right track quicker, it is him. PO as president will start learning the roles for almost a year and that gives him 3yrs to actually start working but Gej will go to work on day one. I'm Peter Obi supporter but I'm not a blind one. Peter Obi will win Jonathan in free and fair election. Jonnathan have ruled Nigeria for 6 years, he should support Obi |

Igbos constitute 45% of Lagos population and that make them a majority tribe in Lagos, the remaining 55% is divided among other tribes Hausa, Ijaw, etc, with Yorubas struggling to grab 40% even Egun, Awori doesn’t see theirselves as full Yorubas, if not for intimidation and violence against Igbos in elections, Igbos will almost win all senate and house of rep seat in Lagos. |

Ijoba85: If I were Sanwo Olu, I would accelerate the rate at which Lagos indigenes are loved and cared for and every other Yoruba person too. I would declare free medical treatment for all Yoruba indigenes , ensured they are registered and paid a certain stipend. I would personally sponsor their marriages and encourage them to give birth without paying a dime for child delivery. All Yoruba leaders must think and act fast to protect their land . No more selling of land to outsiders . These are some of the ways to go Then hunger will kpai the politicians in Lagos, the state money will be for servicing debt and state will become bankrupt, the best bet is for you to have Odua republic. |

Politics › Re: Oyo State Generated More VAT Revenue Than 4 Zones by Odingo1: 12:58pm On Jul 21, 2025 |
onuman: The SW ask for regional government but without resource control. They want to sustain the SW with cash from crude oil and gas in the SS and SE but have autonomy for the SW. Ridiculous set.
During Obasanjo administration's National Political Reforms Conference in 2005, the SW Conferees teamed up with the Northern Conferees to reject the minimal percentage increase in derivation from oil propised by Conferees from the SS and the SE. The Conference ended abruptly because of that. They want to eat their cake and have it, Lagos collect other state VAT because all oil, bank and company headquarters is in Lagos. VAT should be collected where products are consumed and headquarters should relocated where they do their business. |
Politics › Re: Oyo State Generated More VAT Revenue Than 4 Zones by Odingo1: 12:55pm On Jul 21, 2025 |
Ttalk: The living standard of Oyo people cant improve until the leeches SE states wake up and start generating VAT into the Federation cover. If SW is serious let’s regionalise Nigeria into autonomous regions and see which region will do better. Stop hiding under current Nigeria scheme to carry shoulder up where SW collect VAT consumed in other states. |
Politics › Re: Oyo State Generated More VAT Revenue Than 4 Zones by Odingo1: 11:06am On Jul 21, 2025 |
onuman: Then declare Oduduwa Republic since all the SW states generated enough money to keep Oduduwa Republic thriving. You depend on cheap cash from crude oyel in the Niger delta region. All these Bayo Onanuga generated statistics on VAT are getting too much. Don’t mind them let them keep on deceiving theirselves, oil money runs Nigeria, nothing like VAT, if the SW is truely churning out this money as they always claim, is in their hands to regionalise Nigeria into Autonomous regions which the SE is fighting for years now. They keep on hidden and dishing out fake data. |

Farmsolution: Even with that, where is the market in other zones. The leaders there are lazy and lacks foresight . Will you leave Lagos to go and stay in aba or onitsha or orlu. No... Lagos collects all the bats because no multinational will want to relocate further inland their headquarters far away from their embassies and exit and entry points . That is old story, mtn and co have offices everywhere and pay VAT to Lagos, oil companies drill oil in East and pay vat to Lagos. You are not yet serious, so stop taunting the Igbos |
