one word, one name has defined the administration at this time. Dambazzua |
Hawking gala is one of the most unproductive work in Nigeria. With Nigeria facing serious food deficit, you would have expected their states to put these aspiring or career hawkers to work. |
Flexherbal:Lagos has provided enough work for her indigens and more. It is not her job to do so for others. |
Always looking for excuses to compensate for the catastrophic failure of their states. Allocation Per capita, lagos gets the lowest allocation. Yet, she has been able to play to her strengths and make full use of all the inherent advantages awolowo endowed the state; Most especially the physical infrastructure (industrial estates.) and the self fulfilling infrastructure ( education). I have travelled my fair share around Nigeria and it is very easy to. Pinpoint why many states are failed state. corruption. Incompetence. Attitudes Lawlessness Values Extreme conservatism. History, culture and the mindset. |
Obj got us out of those debts to free up money for development and limit the input of the IMF. Mr transformer got us back into it. According to Mr clueless transformer , " The economy is in the hands of the experts ". In this case, a former managerial clerk at the world bank. |
The rice is surely growing in their stomach already. |
What difference has the oil ever made? |
Obey the laws of the land or ship out |
This writer is an anarchist. 1 Do you know where they come from? 2 Do you know where they reside? 3 Of what benefit is there presence to yorubaland? 4 At what and whose cost? 5 Has the writer seen the violent crime statistics? 6 for whose benefit? 7 who are their parents and exactly where are their fathers' houses. If the writer cannot answer these questions, he needs to take a paternity test. The last time Fashola banned okada, these fools with no critical thinking ability went to down making noises." Fashola is bad o,Fashola is heartless o. A few years down the line, the place is more congested with Northern former Almajiris and destitutes who are riding okada and constituting a nuisance all over the place. Now, the US is warning her citizen about a possible attack in lagos. Go to Ajiliti, mile -12 and tell the residents how nice it is to have unskilled migrants burn down their homes. If anyone came to lagos, from wherever, to come and sell gala and ice cream, that person should take the next bus out. It is not only dangerous to the present, it is dangerous for the future. Very soon, they will be voting rice sharing candidates. Many of them left education and the farm to come and sell gala or ride okada in the street If anyone is not skilled or decent enough to get a blue collar or white collar job on yorubaland, the person loses. The land must make sure that she stops attracting such type. By the way, this writer is probably one of those who lock their children behind burglary proof for fear of the outside. The same lagos where I grew up and as an 8 year old , would wander as far as possible with friends to play football. |
Chief of defense staff vs Chief of army staff. |
If you do need to know that street trading is a crime in lagos ,............... It has been a crime for close to 100 years; albeit a minor crime . The government has chosen to enforce the laws of the land, for the first time in a very long time. Street trading is the first sign of lawlessness anywhere in the world. Do you see the same in dubai in dubai you love going? The street peddling of products in an unregulated manner not only facilitate the environment of "anything goes", those traders also undercut the traders who have chosen to rent a shop/spot, pay taxes and obey the law. It is not uncommon to see peddlers selling right in front of another person's shop. It also result in the loss of revenues for the government as unscrupulous manufacturers use this cover to avoid VAT. Without street trading, the government can move towards mandating all sellers of goods and services to operate with cash registers and terminals. This way,all sales can be tracked and the appropriate taxes(VAT) collected. Poverty is not an excuse. Almost everyone of them left the rural areas to come and live a life of poverty /lawlessness in the city. It is not the duty of the government to facilitate this behaviour and the government must not encourage it. The dead chose to resist arrest and he paid dearly with his life. |
send police officers back to their regions or state.l |
Billyonaire:You cannot fight nature. Those nations you listed are supposed to be the fundamental governing structures. We are not more educated than the British who voted brexit or the Scottish who are demanding independence from great Britain. We are not as well fed or possess better administrative skills than the flanders who are demanding independence from Belgium. The yoruba nation has shown what Nigeria should aspire to be. The writer is right. The rest have refused due to their hostility. From the civil service to the economy, Nigeria create an illusion of being a a country. In reality, it is not a country or a natio. Like Awo said, it is a geographical expression. |

Add the armed forces( police, military, customs etc). Then repost. |
whether they negotiate or not, Nigeria is already negotiating herself into future of sorrow, tears and blood |
You no sabi Road to UN or the United States Congress |
No benefit apart from the fact that thieves who have looted can bring back their loot and fetch more naira |
Tokenism |
Msteew. Pay your taxes. |
DaBullIT:That grazing bill is symptomatic of the problem with the fulani. The fatalities refusal to change and adapt to a fast changing world. The doubling down on a medieval religious ideology that is being used to controI. Nigeria works for them as it is. That is why they are ready to die than allow any changes. This is why they have the highest income per capita in the country. |
The people I pity the most are the ignorant Niger -delta who come here to promote that conference. Many of them did not even bother to read the damn thing. In fact, the Obasanjo conference was far superior in it's outcome. I have said it many times, that report is dead on arrival. And Nigeria is also dancing on the brink. |
The only people moaning about EFFC are the corrupt bastards. When I wake up in the morning, I do not think about EFFC. What about you? |
adeyemi2015:Perhaps,a split away from the Nigerian baggage is long overdue. They are bombing and killing, Herdsmen are killing and everybody in between is constituting a nuisance. Perhaps, you should put on the nationalistic attitude of the British by joining in putting a distance between the Oodua nation and the Nigerian state. There is absolutely nothing in it for us. Nothing. Nothing Nigeria has given us that we did not have before Nigeria or Nigerian independence. Heck, we are worse off. In fact, truth be told, yorubaland of 200 years ago is better than yorubaland of today. If both were countries today and compared together, that yorubaland would be the booming country. |
He bought it with savings. Savings from which salary? Who is he deceiving? |
There are only 4 reason reasons why a Nigerian civil servant cries. 1 His avenues for personal enrichment have been blocked.( corruption) 2 He is made to justify his salary by being made to do the work for which he is being paid( laziness). 3 A demand for accountability. 4 Pull me down . It is obvious that what you are saying is inverse to what is on the ground .Non oil receipts ,as a proportion of national revenue ,are now larger than oil.He must be doing something right.the establishment should have been sacked and not moved aside . Is it not obvious that they were part of the rot before? |
Although Fowler goofed up big time on the recruitment thingie, they (fowler and kemi) are doing a heck of a good job. |
This is the attitude I expect from all ministers. Most of these civil servants have forgotten that they are there to serve the people. Why should government ( civil service and elected political officials) consume 120% of the budget . |
They are doing a heck of a job . Unfortunately,we have no border control. It would have been nice to make thm enjoy their good work |
ojobabafemi:This . Do what Nigerians abroad do in order to stabilise themselves. Look for something else to do to augment Your income. The best ideas do not require a lot of money. Be ready to make sacrifices to achieve those goals . Saving money is not exactly the best idea . Investing is . Do not wait to save N100000 or N100000000000 Use your 20,000 now . Invest in something you can flip quickly . Research and invest If you have a family land somewhere, Agriculture is a good idea . Use the internet to research modern farming techniques. Many nairalanders are doing great stuffs in agriculture. |
Ebonyi -10th Is just another example of the laughable ranking. Only in Nigeria will see you such ranking . Less qualified teachers and a worse education infrastructure producing better result. |
