Hey Mods, my thread was "lost" it cannot be found in either of the sections of Nairaland. I'd like you guys to please move it back to the politics section, thanks. heres the link https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria?topic=725814.msg8836667#msg8836667 |
^^^ Yes Ogonis are in Rivers State. They are a riverine people like the Ijaw and their language/culture is influenced by Ijaw, Igbo and their other neighbors. I think their population is 500k-1 million. |
@ Mad Dog That's left for them. I dont see whats there to gain from deciet. I dont think there are many Hausas on NL. @ Tpiah I did not want to make too many options. And also, what did you expect me to do? Make 200 options. I just picked the most likely ethnicities. Whats the possibility that someone from an ethnicity thats less than 10k will be on Nairaland? |
todan: Natasha,,:Nothing much, just chillaxing ![]() |
Abu-Maryam:Yeah, I should've but unfortunately you cant edit a poll. Also, what's your ethnicity? cogitoErgo:Its difficult to try and name all of Nigeria's ethnicities although I apologize for this. Which one among them re you? @Topic Only 20 Votes, c'mon people more fvotes. Represent your ethnicity here on Nairaland. |

This is just a simple attempt to indicate all the of ethnicites present on Nairaland. Kindly indicate your ethnicity by voting. I've tried my best to include as many groups as possible. Again I apologize if your ethnicity is not listed. ![]() |
anishe:It is most likely manual. It looks like the 1985 model. This cars does not have airbags, cars started having airbags in 1990-1991. But the good thing is that its a classic and popular car that has cheap easy to find parts. |
Chai! OP you must be joking, werent you the one bashing Igbos and praising the Yoruba "super-race" on another thread, and now you want a wife irrespective of ethnicity? ![]() Heres a link: https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-710844.64.html |
Its that same in the Igbo language also. The pronunciations are very different. Weed = (vocalisation) e-gbo (the gbo has an upward pitch) ethnic group= (vocalisastion) e-gbo (the gbo has an downward pitch) |
Good job Amaechi, Amaechi and Rochas are leading the east ![]() |
@ Topic Its a pity. One half of the Yorubas are being ruled by common law, the others are ruled by Shariah law. So lets say two Yoruba's commit the same crime. One is a muslim and the other is not. Both steal a goat. The Christian recieves 1 month sentence and is released on N20K bail while the Muslim one gets his right arm chopped off. What a pity, so people are not equal afterall. |
Man, I love this car. It brings back nostalgia. What year is it? |
Oh okay, I see. Thanks for the incite on ani |
^^^ There is a main form of Igbo called "Central Igbo" why not learn that if you cant pick up a dialect? Besides, most of you that are complaining that Igbo is hard are nowhere in Igboland or the East for that matter. If you spend a year in a town like Owerre or Porth-Hardcourt you will surely learn Igbo. As for the variants, they are all very similar 95% of it is similar its just that some people have unique words for saying somewords. For example, in my dialect, we borrow a select few of our words from Ibibio like perriwinkle. The Igbo word for perriwinkle is "mfi" while in Arochukwu some of us call it "isam" which is Ibibio for perriwinkle. But nevertheless, we also understand central Igbo and our own dialect. Here is an example of central Igbo and dialect Igbo: Where are you going?/b] central Igbo: "Kedu ebe ina aga" Arochukwu variant: "Nda ebe igaje" Another variant: "Eye k'igaje" Any 5 year old Igbo child will hear all of these dialects seamlessly. |
@ Alj You're really not helping. You aren't Igbo so why does it matter to you? |
Goalkeeper is actually very tricky. You need to be the right height, very flexible, you must have a powerful goalshot, and you need to be able to dive (which isnt very easy). In matches all the pressure is placed on the goalkeeper which ultimately he is the one who decides wether or not his team will lose. |
